  1. Yesterday
  2. There are HUNDREDS of places to eat around Disney World, and just hearing that sentence often makes people panic. Our meal at Cinderella’s Royal Table We totally understand why — that’s A LOT to think about — but that’s why we’re here! We’ve tried every single restaurant in Disney World and continue to go back to make sure we’re keeping up with the latest menu items and see how the quality is holding up to help you decide where to go. However, there are some restaurants that are MUCH more popular than others and reservations often fill up fast. If any of these are on your list for your next trip, keep a close eye out and be ready to snag them as soon as your 60-day window opens up! Cinderella’s Royal Table Cinderella’s Royal Table is located in Magic Kingdom, but what makes it extra special is that you’ll dine INSIDE Cinderella Castle! It’s the only way you’re able to step inside the iconic attraction other than the Cinderella Castle Suite, which is rarely open to any guests other than major contest winners. Cinderella’s Royal Table This is a character dining meal that allows you to meet multiple of Disney’s most iconic and loved Princesses, and while the prix-fixe meal isn’t for everyone (and is, in fact, one of the main complaints for this restaurant), it’s a must-stop for those who love Disney Princesses and/or just want to experience this unforgettable meal at least once. Hey Merida! With that being said, reservations for this spot fill up fast and aren’t commonly available on the day of your trip, so be sure you’re ready to book 60 days in advance of your trip starting! Read our most recent review here! Homecomin’ Over in Disney Springs, you’ll find an abundance of delicious restaurants to choose from. One of our absolute favorites, especially for breakfast and brunch, is Homecomin’, but unfortunately for us, it’s everyone else’s favorite too! Homecomin’ Homecomin’ specializes in classic comfort American options — at breakfast and brunch that looks like chicken and waffles, breakfast sandwiches, biscuits and gravy, french toast, and more, and for dinner, you’ll find chicken biscuits, a cuban sandwich, country fried steak, fried chicken and donuts, and so much more. Art’s Famous Fried Chicken These reservations go lightning fast for breakfast and brunch, but you’ll often have an easier time finding one for lunch or dinner (especially dinner). Reservations are only available through the Disney World website or My Disney Experience app, so again, make sure you’re booking right at that 60 day in advance mark! Read our most recent Homecomin’ review here! The Cake Bake Shop One of the newest restaurants in Disney World is The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers over at Disney’s BoardWalk and WOW is it popular! The high prices are a bit of a controversial point for many, but the fantastic quality of the food and experience makes it a great stop for people who are looking for an extra special meal to celebrate a certain occasion. There are actually two sides to this spot — a bakery side that requires no reservation but only serves up the decadent cake slices and desserts the store offers, and then the actual restaurant that does require advance dining reservations. We’ll be the first to admit that while these dining reservations go fast for most opportune dining times, you can often find some a few days in advance of the day you’re looking to dine. The Cake Bake Shop Now, reservations for this spot work a little differently than other restaurants in Disney World — to book, you’ll need to head to OpenTable instead of the Disney World website! Read our most recent review of dinner at The Cake Bake Shop here! Chef Mickey’s Located at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is Chef Mickey’s, one of, if not THE, most popular character meals in all of Disney World. This spot has been iconic for decades now, and it’s especially a highly sought after breakfast spot for those on their first Disney World vacation and/or those traveling with little ones. Chef Mickey’s Card This is a buffet-style restaurant that serves up options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but again, we’ve found breakfast to be the most booked-up option very consistently. Here you’ll get to meet all five members of the Fab 5, which again, is what makes it so popular! You’ll get to say hello to Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto in their adorable chef outfits, the only spot in the entire resort you’ll get to see them in this garb! Hi Mickey! Now, we’ll be the first to admit that this buffet isn’t even CLOSE to the best one in Disney World, and we’ve had a lot of readers leave here pretty disappointed in the food but not the character interaction. The price you pay here is for mediocre buffet food that won’t blow your mind, but for exciting character experiences that you won’t soon forget. Check out our most recent review of Chef Mickey’s! Victoria & Albert’s Despite what some people believe, there ARE high-end dining options available in Disney World, and one of the best is Victoria & Albert’s. Dining here costs a pretty penny, but we’ve heard very few people disappointed by this luxury dining experience. Victoria & Albert’s The menu is beyond what you’ll find anywhere else on property — it’s multiple courses (don’t expect to just be able to go back into the parks to finish out the day after this!), and is fantastic for those who enjoy elite, high-end dining experiences. Amuse Bouche trio at Victoria & Albert’s You’ll receive a personalized menu, impeccable service, and an experience you’ll recount to any of your friends and family that will listen. Check out our most recent review here! If you’re planning on dining at a lot of Disney World table service restaurants, it might be worth it to look into getting the Dining Plan for your trip. It’s not for every group, and there’s a LOT of eating you’ve got to do to get the most of out it, but it’s certainly worth looking into before your trip begins. 3. Uh oh! If you’re heading to Disney World next year, listen up. We have another refurbishment coming your way. Riviera This time, it isn’t an attraction but is instead one of our favorite modes of transportation. From January 25th to the 31st, the Disney Skyliner will be closed for refurbishment. Skyliner Since it opened, the Skyliner has had an annual closure at the beginning of the year. However, in 2025, Disney skipped this refurbishment! Looks like we’re back on track for 2026. All of the stops and connections between EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and the parks will not be available during this time, but complimentary buses will be offered. We recommend adding some additional travel time since other forms of transportation will be busier due to higher crowd levels without the Skyliner. Skyliner If you’re staying at the Art of Animation Resort, Caribbean Beach Resort, Pop Century Resort, or the Riviera Resort during these dates and were staying there for the Skyliner, you might want to consider booking somewhere else. Skyliner at Art of Animation While buses will be available, there are also options like boat transportation between Hollywood Studios and EPCOT and some surrounding resorts. All Disney Resorts have bus transportation, but there are a few more options, like the Monorail or boats. We especially love just being able to walk to EPCOT in the morning, limiting our transportation time and crowd levels. Disney Bus As this date approaches, we’ll remind you about the closures. 4. Ahoy, sailors, superheroes, and snack fans! We’ve brought you all together for an important discussion. We’re reporting LIVE from our first preview of the Disney Destiny cruise ship, and we’ve got a LOT to talk about. ©Disney The NEW Disney Destiny sets sail on November 20th, 2025! Picture the classic Disney Cruise ships we know and love, but with an epic twist. The Disney Destiny will be a sister ship to the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, and Disney revealed that the ship will have a first-of-its-kind design theme: Heroes and Villains. In fact, the design will draw “on the legacies of beloved Disney stories, characters, and theme park attractions,” highlighting characters from The Lion King, One Hundred and One Dalmatians, and Hercules. Now that we know the basics, let’s talk about the FOOD! We really loved this one! It was essentially a souped-up Moscow Mule, but it was super balanced, unlike a mule. This was delightful and had an amazing presentation. We would happily get it again. Dining Overview The Disney Destiny is home to three restaurants as part of Disney Cruise Line’s signature Rotational Dining, where you can enjoy dinner at three unique restaurants while your wonderful crew servers rotate with you! ©Disney Disney teased a brand-new restaurant coming to the Disney Destiny called Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King. This spot is a theatrical dining experience that will be the FIRST themed to the beloved Walt Disney Animation Studios film. Look out for your favorite Lion King songs and animals and nature that make up the African savanna. ©Disney Up next is restaurant #2 on our list, a returning favorite first seen on the Disney Wish! Get ready to go on a Marvel dining adventure at Worlds of Marvel! ©Disney Oh, and while we’re on the subject, you may also experience Avengers: Quantum Encounter, as seen on the Disney Wish. Click HERE to get an in-depth look at the Worlds of Marvel dining experience! Finally, there’s one more returning restaurant coming to the Disney Destiny. It’s called 1923, named after the founding year of Walt Disney Animation Studios. 1923 Restaurant This restaurant takes you on a journey through animation. The dining areas are decorated as an upscale Hollywood setting with “a dash of Disney whimsy.” Look out for “storyboards, sketches, and props recalling the heroes and villains of classic Disney animated movies” aboard the Disney Destiny! Check out MORE of 1923 HERE! BUT WAIT! There’s MORE. The Disney Destiny will have several adult-exclusive spaces, including some FUN lounges: Cask and Cannon — a Pirates of the Caribbean-themed bar Haunted Mansion Parlor — The Haunted Mansion Parlor will materialize on the Disney Destiny! We’ve visited the Parlor on the Disney Treasure, but there’s always room for one more… De Vil’s Piano Lounge — a new over-the-top lounge inspired by Cruella De Vil herself The Sanctum — Disney Cruise Line’s first lounge inspired by Doctor Strange and his mystical arts ©Disney In addition to the sit-down dining locations and lounges, there will also be some quick-service restaurants on the ship. The Marceline Market is coming to the Disney Destiny! Marceline Market Plus, you’ll be able to stop by character-inspired food stations, such as we’ve seen with Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods on the Disney Wish. These spots will serve up quick bites throughout the day and well into the evening. Disney Treasure Finally, stop by for a nice drink (or an ice cream treat) at the following locations: Café Megara — Themed after Disney Animation’s Hercules, the spot will present what Disney has deemed a “Greco disco” design Café Merida — Café Merida is another walk-up cafe located just off the Grand Hall. This tribute to Brave‘s feisty heroine, Merida, will feature a “Celtic-centered” design Edna Á La Mode Sweets — Edna Á La Mode Sweets will be a specialty dessert shop and confectionery themed to the well-known fashion designer from Pixar’s The Incredibles The Destiny will offer 4- and 5-night cruises to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean during its inaugural season, with voyages stopping at one or both of Disney Cruise Line’s destinations — Castaway Cay and the new Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. For Summer 2026, the Destiny will offer 3- to 7-night cruises to The Bahamas as well as the Eastern and Western Caribbean. 5. Planning a vacation in Orlando might be getting easier! Epic Universe A new hotel is in the works, and it’s right by Universal Orlando. Let’s check it out! The Zicav Group is planning a hotel near Universal Studios and the Mall at Millenia. While it’s closer to the first two Universal parks, it could also host guests going to Epic Universe, which is set to open on May 22nd. Epic Universe The hotel will have over 300 rooms and will have retail space, restaurants, and a spa. It’s a 1.7-acre property in a central location to Orlando theme parks. It was originally planned to be a 174-unit condominium property, but it will not be an over 300,000-square-foot hotel with 7,000 square feet of retail space. ©Orlando Business Journal Hotels need to be able to accommodate groups for tournaments and conventions and have outdoor spaces like pools to stand out against the large market in Central Florida. This could be great for large groups staying in Orlando for business events or traveling sports teams. Because the property is less than 2 acres, it needs to be carefully planned to utilize the available space. Universal Stella Nova A second tower, less than half the size of the first, is planned for the second phase of the project. In 2024, 11 new hotels opened in Orlando, adding over 1,900 rooms. Universal Orlando opened Stella Nova and Terra Luna earlier this year, and Universal Helios Grand Hotel will open later in April, adding about 2,000 new hotel rooms to the park. Universal Helios Grand Hotel We’re always excited to see new hotels added to the Orlando area and to see the city continue to grow. 7. Harry Potter is probably one of the most loved and well-known properties in the world — and we’re getting more of it! Gringotts Fans can’t get enough Harry Potter! We have many books, eight movies, attractions in Universal Orlando and Islands of Adventure, and a new Wizarding World featuring the Ministry of Magic at Universal’s new Epic Universe. Now, fans will be treated to a brand-new Harry Potter show — and we have information on who the cast will include! HBO is currently developing a new Harry Potter series. Fans are excited, but it’s also no secret that some are skeptical about what’s going to happen with this new show. HBO is creating a spin-off series to one of the greatest properties of all time, with some of the most die-hard fans…so we understand their anxiety! Let’s take a look at the six actors confirmed for the series so far, and you can determine if you think they’re on the right track. ©Deadline Starting with the Headmaster himself, Albus Dumbledore, will be played by John Lithgow. He is most known for his role in The Crown, in which he plays Sir Winston Churchill. He also played Cardinal Joseph Tremblay in last year’s Oscar Best Picture nominee Conclave. This casting has been previously confirmed. So, who else is involved? ©IMDb Janet McTeer will be taking on the Head of Gryffindor as Professor McGonagall! She has performed in roles such as Mary Jo Walker in Tumbleweeds, and Alisa Jones in Disney+’s Jessica Jones. ©The Independent The talented Paapa Essiedu will be playing the Head of Slytherin, Professor Snape! He’s been in projects such as Gangs of London and The Lazarus Project. He’ll be looking to continue his acting career with his biggest role yet! ©Variety Nick Frost will be playing the beloved Rubeus Hagrid! Nick Frost has been involved in projects such as Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and he will be playing Gueulfor in this year’s upcoming How to Train Your Dragon live-action movie. ©IMDb Joining the cast will also be Luke Thallon, who will be bringing the role of Quirinus Quirrell back. As well as Paul Whitehouse, who will appear in the recurring role of Argus Filch. ©IMDb Luke Thallon will be Quirinus Quirrell “We are happy to announce the casting of John Lithgow, Janet McTeer, Paapa Essiedu, Nick Frost, Luke Thallon and Paul Whitehouse to play Dumbledore, McGonagall, Snape, Hagrid, Quirrell and Filch,” said Francesca Gardiner, is the showrunner and executive producer, and Mark Mylod, director of multiple episodes and executive producer — according to Variety. They also stated they’re “delighted to have such extraordinary talent onboard, and we can’t wait to see them bring these beloved characters to new life.”. ©Entertainment Weekly These are the first confirmed actors for the HBO show, and we should be hearing about more soon, with the show expected to begin filming in the summer. We’re still waiting on the announcement for the stars, Harry, Ron, and Hermione — which have had over 30,000 submissions for its open casting call. HBO has described the show as a “faithful adaptation” of the book series. Where they will be “exploring every corner of the wizarding world, each season will bring ‘Harry Potter’ and its incredible adventures to new and existing audiences.” ©Forbes Let’s get one thing out of the way: no one will be able to replace Daniel Radcliffe’s Harry, Emma Watson’s Hermione, or Rupert Grints Ron, along with all the other beloved actors and actresses of the movie series. However, we are very curious to see where this goes. With more information on the series expected to come out soon, make sure to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog! 8. After a long day in the parks, you and your family will want somewhere to fuel up! There are A LOT of dining options at Disney World, and we want to make sure you are eating at the best of the best. One location you might be curious about is the food court in your hotel; should you grab food there or head out of your hotel? Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort We recently stopped by the End Zone Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is this food court worth a stop on your next Disney World trip? Let’s find out! Atmosphere The End Zone Food Court is located near the lobby of Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort. The food court is a very casual environment, and you will find colorful drawings of Disney characters like Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Donald, and more participating in various sports. Pretty fitting for All-Star Sports Resort’s food court! End Zone Food Court When you first walk in, you will spot the food court area itself. You can walk up and order your food from each window or place a Mobile Order on the My Disney Experience app. Mobile ordering can help you get everyone’s orders in one spot, but it is also easy to grab what you want and then pay. Bakery You can also stop by The Market for a variety of grab-and-go items and bottled drinks. The Market The End Zone Food Court has a lot of seating available, but it can get crowded during busy times. We visited the food court in the early afternoon and were one of the few people there. You can choose from tables or booths, or you can also take your food with you. Food Court Some windows, like the Bakery, allow you to just go up and grab your food, while others require you to place your order, and the Cast Member will prepare the food for you. Bakery You can also stop by The Market for a variety of grab-and-go items and bottled drinks. The Market Right across from the food court area, you will also find a window for the Grandstand Spirits Pool Bar, where you can order a variety of alcoholic beverages. End Zone Food Court The End Zone Food Court has a lot of seating available, but it can get crowded during busy times. We visited the food court in the early afternoon and were one of the few people there. You can choose from tables or booths, or you can also take your food with you. Seating The food court has a self-serve beverage area where you can refill your resort mug or just grab your beverage of choice after you have purchased a cup. Beverage Area You will even find microwaves inside the food court so you can reheat leftovers, pop a bag of popcorn, or heat other items. Microwaves Not that we got a look at the food court, let’s take a look at what is on the menu. Menu The End Zone Food Court has A LOT of options. We are pretty sure just about anyone could find something they wanted here. You can choose from burgers, chicken, and sandwiches. ©Disney There are also pizza, pasta, and hot dogs. ©Disney Or you can get a salad or a plant-based option. ©Disney The food court also offers some sides to add to your meal or a quick snack. ©Disney The kiddos aren’t left out either; there is a variety of kids’ meals on the menu. ©Disney And there are many dessert options, including a Mickey Mouse Celebration cake or a Strawberry Shortcake Cheesecake. ©Disney Or you can choose a selection from the bakery! ©Disney If you aren’t feeling a full meal, there are also lots of options for snacks like a Yogurt Parfait or Microwave Popcorn. ©Disney You can even get Charcuterie in the Grab ‘n’ Go section or pick up some fresh fruit. ©Disney Finally, there are also plenty of options for beverages. You have your classic options, including fountain beverages or bottled drinks. ©Disney Plus, there are also hot beverages and tea. ©Disney As well as milk and milk alternatives. ©Disney You can also grab a variety of teas and waters. ©Disney There are even specialty cocktails available! ©Disney If you aren’t in the mood for a cocktail, you can also choose from a wide menu of beer. ©Disney Or you can also opt for some wine. End Zone Food Court menu Whew, that was a lot of options. Now, let’s grab some food and chow down! Eats First up, we grabbed the Grilled Chicken Sandwich for $13.19. It is marinated grilled chicken topped with fresh mozzarella, basil aïoli, arugula, and tomato on a toasted brioche bun served with French fries. Overall, we enjoyed this sandwich a lot. It tastes lighter than a burger, but has a bit more to it than a salad. Grilled Chicken Sandwich You get a good amount of grilled chicken, although it was on the dry side. However, the basil aïoli saves the day a bit there as it adds some creaminess to the dry chicken. The basil aïoli was delicious and had a bit of a tang like a vinigarette, but with lots of basil flavor. The tomato slice added some good freshness to the dish. Grilled Chicken Sandwich The mozzarella is a good slab of cheese, and while it won’t be the best mozzarella cheese you have ever had, it brings a creamy, milky flavor to the sandwich. We loved the peppery flavor of the arugula with the rest of the elements, but we wish there was a bit more on top. The bun was fluffy with a bit of sweetness to it. Grilled Chicken Sandwich Next, we tried the Honey Barbecued Pork Sandwich for $11.49. It is topped with a zesty vegetable slaw on a toasted brioche bun. While it is typically served with French fries, we opted to grab onion rings instead for this sandwich. Honey Barbecued Pork Sandwich This sandwich packs A LOT of meat. Unfortunately, it was on the dry side, but the barbecue sauce helped some. The meat was tender, and the sauce lent a lovely barbecue flavor to the meat. Honey Barbecued Pork Sandwich The slaw was crunchy and tangy. However, there wasn’t enough to compete with the meat. When you ate the sandwich as a whole, you mostly just taste the barbecue pork. Honey Barbecued Pork Sandwich The onion rings had a thicker batter on them, which, depending on your preferences for onion rings, could either be a great thing or an awful thing. They were crispy and a nice change-up from the fries. Honey Barbecued Pork Sandwich We also got the Street Corn Fries for $6.49. They are topped with roasted corn relish, cotija cheese, and cilantro-lime crema. Yum, yum! To start, the cilantro-lime crema was wonderfully creamy and full of cilantro and lime flavor. Along with the sweetness from the corn relish, the creaminess from the cotija cheese, and a slight bit of bitterness from the pepper, we thought these fries were really tasty. Street Corn Fries Now, let’s grab some dessert! We got the Surfing Stitch Cupcake for $6.29. It is a yellow cupcake filled with raspberry ganache and topped with blue raspberry buttercream, crisp pearls, and Stitch. We weren’t too impressed with this cupcake. The cake itself was dry and crumbly, and the raspberry ganache filling hardened into a thick chocolate log. We didn’t taste much raspberry at all in it. Surfing Stitch Cupcake The blue raspberry buttercream on top had LOTS of the fake blue raspberry flavor to it. It tasted like Jolly Rancher in frosting form. It was airy and sweet, but didn’t go well with the fudgy filling on the inside. While we weren’t huge fans of the blue raspberry frosting, if you are a lover of all things blue raspberry, you might really enjoy this cupcake. As long as you can get past the dry cake. Surfing Stitch Cupcake Finally, we also tried the Glazed Doughnut Holes with Chocolate Sauce for $5.29. You grab the container from the bakery window, so they aren’t made fresh. These are your average donut holes, cakey on the inside and glazed on the outside. Glazed Doughnut Holes The chocolate sauce was very fudgy and full of chocolate flavor. It was on the thicker side, but you could still dip the donut in easily. The donut holes were yummy once you dipped them in there, but make sure you grab some napkins or have some wipes, because it will likely get messy. We loved how easy this snack would be to take and go. The chocolate sauce is attached to the lid, and then the donuts are secured with the lid/chocolate sauce combo. Glazed Doughnut Holes That rounds out our meal! Now, let’s see what we think about the restaurant overall and whether you should make a stop here. Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… You are staying at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort. It has lot of tasty options and if you are staying at All-Star Sports Resort, we think this will be a favorite dining location. It is quick, easy, and casual. You are looking for a casual dining location with a wide variety of options. We love all the choices you have at the food court, plus it is a casual environment. Everyone can get what they want and relax for a bit. You have picky eaters and are in the area. With the wide variety of options, you will likely be able to find something that even the pickiest of eaters can enjoy. You can always speak with Cast Members, too, to see if they can make a certain dish without specific ingredients. You should skip this Disney World spot if… You need to go out of your way to get here. We enjoyed our meal and loved the wide variety available here, but you will be able to find similar quality and options at other Disney World food courts. We don’t think this one outperforms other food courts at Disney World, so just head to the one closest to you! You want a table-service dining experience. At End Zone Food Court, you order your food at the window or place a Mobile Order, and then you grab a seat in the dining area. You won’t get amazing service, but there are always friendly, helpful Cast Members around if you do need anything. You are looking for unique flavors or dishes. End Zone Food Court has pretty classic offerings. You won’t find super memorable dishes here, but we do think you will enjoy your meal and leave feeling full. Overall This is a solid food court option in Disney World. It has a lot of options, and everyone in your group should be able to find something they want. All of the food was tasty and filled us up. While it won’t be food that you will think about for years to come, we think you will leave feeling pretty satisfied. We don’t think you should go out of your way to visit End Zone Food Court, but if you are staying at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort, this will definitely be a great place to grab food. 11. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is changing big time! Grand Floridian Resort Recently, the iconic Disney resort announced major changes, and one big addition is coming to the resort soon. Disney is wasting no time getting started! We stopped by the resort today to see the progress ourselves. Construction is underway at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa! The famous Disney resort’s lobby is getting a bit of a facelift with the addition of a brand-new bar as well as a refresh of the entire space. Disney announced the changes on April 10th, 2025, and now, they’re already working on the changes. Construction walls are up! The lobby’s famous bird cage is being removed for the addition of the new bar. The cage is still there at the time of writing, although it’s been walled off. The view from above. The new bar is inspired by the iconic bird cage, with Disney saying, “The bar will pay tribute to the resort’s Victorian roots with intricate woodwork, stained glass, and brass accents.” ©Disney The refresh of the resort will include the lobby, staircase, and front desk. The lobby’s changes will include brand-new carpeting with Victorian-inspired borders and scrollwork, “featuring hand-drawn florals inspired by turn-of-the-century botanical studies.” The furniture will also be updated. Another point of view! The refresh will be inspired by a “garden-like atmosphere” with the use of botanical accents and inviting colors. We love the atmosphere of this resort and are eager to see how the changes impact one of our favorite places. The construction within the resort began this month and won’t be complete until November 2025. The lobby before construction! Unfortunately, the new changes also mean that the famous Grand Floridian Gingerbread House won’t be making an appearance for the 2025 holiday festivities. The Gingerbread House is one of the most popular holiday offerings having celebrated its 25th anniversary last year. 2024 Grand Floridian Gingerbread House The iconic Christmas tradition will be sorely missed this year, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed it will be back in 2026! 15. We love sailing on a cruise as much as the next person, but we know many people have been hesitant to book their next vacation this year amid the large number of disease outbreaks that have happened on cruise ships this year. Disney Treasure stateroom In February, a third norovirus outbreak had already occurred on one singular cruise line, and earlier this month, nearly 240 people got sick with norovirus aboard the luxury Cunard Queen Mary 2. While Disney Cruise Line has thankfully been spared from these outbreaks at this time, many other cruise lines have struggled with them, and despite this being a particularly bad season for outbreaks, CDC cruise ship inspectors have just been let go from their positions. CBS News has reported that all of the full-time employees of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Vessel Sanitation Program are now without a job, which will, in turn, gut the agency’s ability to investigate outbreaks and conduct health inspections on cruise ships to avoid future outbreaks. This leaves only 12 U.S. Public Health Service officers remaining. The epidemiologist tasked with leading the agency’s outbreak response was also let go. ©Carnival To put into perspective how intense this season of norovirus outbreaks has been across the cruise line industry, there were 18 total disease outbreaks recorded in the entirety of 2024 on cruise ships. This year, a dozen outbreaks have already been reported, mostly due to norovirus. A new strain of the virus has been running rampant, resulting in the United States dealing with a record surge of cases. ©Royal Caribbean These cuts were made due to Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s layoffs across the nation’s public health agencies. An official for the Department of Health and Human Services stated that cruise ship work will be able to continue, saying, “Critical programs in the CDC will continue under Secretary Kennedy’s vision to streamline HHS to better serve Americans. CDC’s Vessel Sanitation Program (VSP) continues to monitor and assist with gastrointestinal outbreaks and track and report these illnesses.” However, the CDC is warning that this will be incredibly challenging for an already short-staffed program to avoid any cuts. Get ready to set sail! At this time, only one epidemiologist remains on the team to investigate outbreaks, and they’re still in the early stages of their training. It takes around 6 months to train new inspectors of cruise ships, and finding people to fill these positions isn’t easy “given its demanding schedule of travel to inspect cruise ships and respond to outbreaks.” Agency staff were also in the middle of investigating two outbreaks when the layoffs occurred, which potentially means those inspections will take much longer or be left incomplete. 16. OMG! Disney just released new details on the new show coming to Disney Cruise Line, and we’ve never seen anything quite like it. Disney Destiny The Disney Destiny, Disney’s new heroes and villains-themed cruise ship, will set sail later this year. Wait until you see the details of this spectacular show. “Shooting Star” will also make its theatrical debut! Alan Menken and David Zippel originally wrote the song for the movie, but it didn’t make the cut. We’re so happy to see it come to the stage! ©Disney For the show, your favorite characters from the movie will be represented in surprising new ways. Just like in the movie, the Muses will be guiding the audience through the show as storytellers. We can expect amazing high-fashion costume designs for the gods of Mount Olympus and humble attire for the humans and creatures of Earth. Pain and Panic at EPCOT Puppet designer Michael Curry designed stunning puppets for the show that are larger than life! The multi-headed Hydra monster looks incredible! Disney Cruise Lines has been building unique puppets for their shows, including the Te Fiti puppet from “Disney The Tale of Moana” on the Disney Treasure. “Disney The Tale of Moana” will be the new signature show coming to the Disney Treasure setting sail this December. Moana will encounter Te Kā on her journey to restore the heart of Te Fiti in this live show inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios film. This show was made exclusively for the Disney Destiny ship. “Frozen, A Musical Spectacular” and “Disney Seas the Adventure” will also be part of the cruise. ©Disney Parks Blog We are beyond excited to go the distance with Hercules and the cast, and the songs are already stuck in our heads for the day. The centrally located entertainment parlor will host a variety of activities throughout the voyage, offering guests a magical array of mocktails, cocktails, spirits and coffees along with entrancing tableside beverage experiences and exclusive menu items that seemingly materialize from across the multiverse. 20. Disneyland Paris just celebrated its 33rd anniversary! To mark the occasion, the place where dreams come true unveiled never-before-seen images and new details about its overall unprecedented transformation. The resort’s second park is undergoing a major expansion and embracing a fresh creative vision. And when its new World of Frozen themed area opens in 2026, the park that has long been known as Walt Disney Studios will be renamed Disney Adventure World! Opening of World Premiere on May 15 — The Gateway to the Existing and Future Immersive Worlds at Disney Adventure World Called Studio 1 since the creation of Walt Disney Studios Park in 2002, this space has undergone a retheming, evolving from a place that used to offer a behind-the-scenes insight into the magic of movie-making to World Premiere, a unique spot that will transport guests to the heart of a glamorous Hollywood film premiere beginning May 15 The exclusive décor, refurbished spaces, and brand-new storyline will immerse guests of all ages in an authentic Hollywood boulevard, recognizable by its palm trees, varied architectural styles, iconic stars on the ground, and nods to its famous movie theaters. At World Premiere, an array of experiences will await guests, including The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant, an all-new dining spot that will serve delicious quick service options. A range of snacks and hot and cold drinks will also be available to take away from the Searchlight kiosk. For those who fancy a bit of shopping, Mickey’s of Hollywood Boutique is a must-visit, inspired by the classic American department stores of the 1920s. Once outside the building, guests will arrive in the heart of World Premiere Plaza, a vibrant area that brings together several theaters, including Studio Theater, Studio D and Animagique Theater, where many shows celebrating Disney Animation and Pixar stories are performed every day. Then, they will be able to discover fully immersive worlds, placing them into the heart of their favorite Disney, Marvel, and Pixar stories. “As our second gate continues its transformation, we are proud to be unveiling the next milestone with the opening of World Premiere in a few weeks. As part of the 2-billion-euro investment plan announced in 2018, we continue to reinvent this park with a fresh creative vision. At the end of its expansion journey — which includes the opening ofAdventure Way, Adventure Bay, and World of Frozen in 2026, and later an immersive world themed to The Lion King — we’ll have reimagined more than 90% of the park’s offerings since its debut in 2002, and roughly doubled its footprint to truly become a can’t-miss experience!” said Natacha Rafalski, Présidente of Disneyland Paris. Opening of World of Frozen and Launch of a Unique Nighttime Show Above the New Central Lake While the brand-new themed area entirely dedicated to Disney Animation’s Frozen is progressively coming into view, the finishing touches are being added to the North Mountain, which rises 36 meters above the ground! Set to open in 2026, World of Frozen will immerse guests in the heart of the Kingdom of Arendelle. In addition to being home to an all-new attraction that will bring guests on a journey alongside Anna and Elsa, this must-visit area will offer immersive shopping and dining experiences as well as the opportunity to meet the beloved sisters in person during an unforgettable royal encounter. Additionally, an all-new breathtaking nighttime spectacular will debut on the central lake and above. The banks along Adventure Bay and The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge will be the perfect spots to admire the awe-inspiring combination of water screens, fountains, special effects, and innovative drone choreography that will come to life at night. The entertainment teams at Disneyland Paris have already started conducting tests in preparation for this groundbreaking experience. Adventure Way, the Promenade Celebrating Disney and Pixar Stories in the Heart of a Lush Landscape, Will Welcome a New Family Attraction Inspired by Up “Adventure is out there!” This famous quote from Disney-Pixar’s Up will soon resonate with Disney Adventure World guests as they board a flying carousel that will spin in the air, offering a bird’s-eye view of the park’s stunning scenery. Blending the charm of family attractions with the colorful world of Up*, this new experience will mark the first time an attraction inspired by this beloved film is coming to a Disney Park. It will be located across from Raiponce Tangled Spin, another attraction that is already being brought to life in the heart of Adventure Way. The construction of this new family attraction celebrating Up and its themed garden will begin by the end of 2025, bringing the family- friendly experiences offered at Adventure Way to new heights after the opening of World of Frozen! Featuring themed gardens inspired by Disney Animation’s Tangled and Pixar’s Toy Story, Adventure Way has been dreamed up as a crossroads between the front of the park — which is notably made up of Marvel Avengers Campus and Worlds of Pixar — and the future immersive areas inspired by Frozen and The Lion King. In this timeless place, guests will be able to unwind and daydream before diving into immersive journeys to the heart of Disney stories. Adventure Way will also be home to The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge, a stylish restaurant where guests will not only be able to meet Disney Princesses but also watch the breathtaking new nighttime spectacular that will light up the new Adventure Bay central lake at night. New Details About the Future Attraction Inspired by Disney Animation’s The Lion King at Disney Adventure World In August 2024, Disneyland Paris announced the construction of the first-ever immersive world entirely dedicated to one of the most beloved Disney Animation films around the world, and especially in Europe — The Lion King. Construction is set to begin in Fall 2025. When the sun rises on this realm after the grand opening of World of Frozen, an all-new attraction blending a spectacular water experience with state-of-the-art Audio-Animatronics® technology will plunge guests into the heart of the Pride Lands, where Simba will await them for an unforgettable adventure complete with iconic songs from the 1994 masterpiece. After making their way to the caves beneath the 37-meter-high Pride Rock, guests will embark on a wondrous, touching, and sensational adventure through iconic scenes and sceneries from the beloved animated movie, navigating a path with three exciting slopes, including an impressive 16-meter-high descent. Featuring a highly detailed environment coming to life through state-of-the-art special effects and an unforgettable soundtrack, along with numerous Audio-Animatronics® figures, this attraction will be one of the biggest at Disneyland Paris! “We are looking forward to launching the construction of this new immersive world inspired by The Lion King and its major attraction, which will mark another milestone for Disney Adventure World. The main attraction will showcase the key features of Disney experiences: loveable characters, an unforgettable soundtrack, immersive décor and effects, and exciting thrills thoughtfully delivered throughout the adventure. All of the Imagineers who work on this project have their hearts set on paying a vibrant homage to this timeless masterpiece by creating unforgettable memories for all our guests,” explained Michel Den Dulk, Vice President and Portfolio Executive Creative Director at Walt Disney Imagineering. The Ambitious Transformation of Disney Hotels Continues with Disney Sequoia Lodge and Disney Davy Crockett Ranch Disney Sequoia Lodge to Receive a Major Makeover Starting in 2026 After the grand reopening of Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel in 2021 (561 rooms) and the unveiling of the royally reimagined Disneyland Hotel in 2024 (487 rooms), Disneyland Paris reveals the next ambitious transformation of another Disney Hotel – the iconic Disney Sequoia Lodge, and its 1,010 rooms. Starting in 2026, major refurbishment work will be carried out to enhance and elevate the experience offered at Disney Sequoia Lodge, a unique getaway celebrating nature in the heart of a verdant setting filled with pine trees and sequoias on the shore of Lake Disney. The structure of interior spaces will be reimagined from floor to ceiling, paving the way for a fresh look characterized by greater brightness and a touch of modernity. The design will pay homage to the beauty of nature while taking inspiration from the forests following the tradition started by Walt Disney and his team of animators. Every space, from the rooms to the lobby, as well as the shopping and dining locations, will be reinvented as an ode to wildlife, offering the perfect environment to unwind and let one’s mind wander. This transformation will also be marked by the development of the hotel’s theming of landscape and forest animals: the nods to the classic Disney Animation film Bambi that can be currently found in rooms will evolve towards a broader theme that will celebrate many Disney Characters from classic and recent movies who live in the forest. They will be subtly incorporated into the different experiences offered at the hotel by leveraging a thoughtful creative approach. Respect for nature and sustainability will also be reflected in the construction materials, which have been carefully selected to minimize the environmental impact of Disney Sequoia Lodge refurbishment work. The hotel will remain open during the refurbishment work, which will start in 2026 and will be carried out in phases. A Comprehensive Upgrade of Bungalow Experience Offered at Disney Davy Crockett Ranch, a Haven of Peace in the Heart of Nature The transformation of Disney Hotels continues at Disney Davy Crockett Ranch, where 584 bungalows are gradually being replaced with a new theme, to provide a modern and comfortable experience for guests, while continuing to be a haven of peace in the heart of a natural setting ideally located a few minutes’ drive away from Disney Parks. Interior decorations will be inspired by the adventures of beloved Disney Characters, such as Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, together with the Junior Woodchucks. The first set of new bungalows will be available for booking starting June 12, for stays beginning after the 2025 summer vacation. An Array of New Experiences in a Reimagined Disney Village Setting Located at the crossroads between the two Disney parks and Disney Hotels, Disney Village continues its major transformation journey to offer new shopping and dining experiences in a modern setting. Two new shops, Disney Glamour and Disney Style, have recently opened their doors to guests, offering a selection of ready-to-wear clothing, fashion accessories and articles created through collaborations. Retail offerings will reach new heights on April 19, with the opening of a LEGO Store reimagined from the inside out, and Deco by Disney, a shop dedicated to homeware, interior decoration, and Disney collectible items which will notably showcase a selection of products exclusively available at Disney Village These new shops aim to offer a warm and modern experience infused with touches of Disney magic. All of these novelties will further enhance the appeal of this must-visit destination for Disney shopping enthusiasts, which will continue to reinvent itself in 2025 and beyond: Disney Store will close its doors in Fall 2025 to become Disney Wonders, a reimagined shop that will welcome all major Disney franchises under one roof. Dining experiences are also being reimagined. This spring, Brasserie Rosalie — which has delighted guests’ taste buds with traditional French fare since late 2023 — will welcome guests to its new terrace bordering Lake Disney. Called Petite Rosalie, this outdoor terrace area will offer a selection of food options specially crafted for sunny days, including snacks and a variety of drinks and desserts. Sports Bar & Lounge will also reopen in the fall with an all-new design, a greater seating capacity and a new menu, while 2026 will mark the opening of a state-of-the-art McDonald’s restaurant boasting unique architecture, in addition to Casa Giulia. Operated by Bertrand Hospitality, this three-story Italian restaurant will be a go-to spot for those craving delicious specialties! About Disneyland Paris Disneyland Paris first opened its doors in April 1992 and has grown with its guests to become Europe’s number one tourist destination with over 375 million visits since its opening. 21. Great Scott! Universal is wasting no time on its next big theme park adventure. ©Universal While Epic Universe hasn’t even celebrated its official opening day yet, the company has already confirmed plans for a brand-new theme park—this time, across the pond in the UK. And thanks to a fresh trademark filing, we’ve got a clue that one of the iconic franchises is getting ready to make its mark over there. Buckle up—this one’s revving up fast! According to a recent trademark filing, Universal has secured the rights to use Back To The Future in their newest theme park, which will be located near Bedford. The trademark covers everything from rides and attractions to live performances and play areas. ©Universal Pictures Fans of the franchise might remember the classic Back to the Future: The Ride, which debuted at Universal Studios Florida in 1991 and was later retired in 2007 to make room for The Simpsons Ride. Since then, the Back to the Future brand has lived on at the parks through merchandise, character meet and greets, and special events. Now, the potential of another Back to the Future experience is possible once more thanks to this newest filing. ©Universal Pictures So what exactly is in the works for this exciting new project coming to Europe? According to official plans from Universal Destinations & Experiences, this won’t just be a simple theme park. The project includes a full-blown resort featuring: A world-class theme park A 500-room hotel A retail, dining, and entertainment complex Universal has already purchased 476 acres of land for the project, but they may expand even further. The company is considering acquiring more land to bring the total size up to around 700 acres, which would allow for improved transport links and potentially more room for immersive lands and attractions. ©Universal While Back to the Future is now officially trademarked for the theme park’s use, there are also whispers of other major franchises potentially joining the lineup—James Bond, Paddington, and even The Lord of the Rings are all rumored contenders. Surprisingly, one iconic UK-based franchise that is not expected to be included is Harry Potter, despite having a massive presence at Universal’s U.S. parks. We’ll just have to wait and see for official announcements from Universal! ©StudioCanal We’ve got our eyes and ears peeled for any news regarding Universal’s newest big theme park adventure, so stay tuned to us here on DFB! 23. Bless my soul, Disney Cruise Line is on a roll! We’re going “zero to hero” this week with an epic lineup of updates and reveals for the Disney Destiny, our new heroes and villains-themed ship that sets sail later this year. Last summer, we announced that the Disney Destiny will debut a Broadway-style stage adaptation of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Hercules, and now I’m thrilled to share a first look at the stunning new show that’s sure to prove “whose daring deeds are great theater” for a new generation of Disney cruisers! “Disney Hercules” will stay true to the story and spirit of the beloved film with a fresh, contemporary retelling centered around the legendary soundtrack. Featuring a celebration of iconic songs like “Go the Distance,” “Zero to Hero” and “I Won’t Say I’m in Love,” this show will present incredible live renditions like you’ve never heard before through new musical arrangements inspired by the soulfulness of gospel music with the energy of a pop concert. In addition to all of the songs from the film, “Disney Hercules” will include the theatrical debut of “Shooting Star,” a heartfelt ballad originally written for the movie by Alan Menken and David Zippel. All of your favorite gods, mortals and mythical beings from the movie will be part of the story, many represented in surprising new ways. Like the film, the Muses will be the show’s storytellers, and their over-the-top personalities and transcendent vocals will shine on stage. High-fashion costume designs will showcase the opulence of the gods of Mount Olympus and contrast starkly with the more understated and humble attire worn by the humans and creatures of Earth. Award-winning puppet designer Michael Curry is bringing to life some of this tale’s most larger-than-life characters through jaw-dropping puppetry, building on the innovative designs we debuted in “Disney The Tale of Moana” aboard the Disney Treasure last year. Embodying the ship’s theme of “heroes and villains,” our new show will use these massive puppets to represent the mythological behemoths — like the multi-headed Hydra monster — that Hercules must defeat to fulfill his hero’s journey. Developed exclusively for the Disney Destiny, “Disney Hercules” will be one of three stage shows aboard the new ship, along with fan-favorites “Frozen, A Musical Spectacular” and “Disney Seas the Adventure.” We’ve got many more exciting updates about the Disney Destiny this week! Stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest news. The post First Look at New ‘Disney Hercules’ Stage Show Aboard Disney Destiny appeared first on Disney Parks Blog. View the full article

  25. Nothing like starting your Monday morning off with some Disney World menu changes! Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom Three Disney World restaurants are getting a majorly sweet upgrade, and we’re trying to figure out when we can go next because these look SO GOOD! Our fan-favorite Garden Grill Restaurant, located in The Land at EPCOT, added Strawberry Shortcake with whipped cream. Yum! ©Disney When we go for dinner, we get the farmer’s seasonal pie. Last time, it was Apple Pie with Ice Cream. The ice cream melted into the pie, creating a lovely texture that makes you want to go back for more. Apple Pie for dessert! The Berry Shortcake has also been a favorite of ours in the past…but now strawberry will be the star! Berry Shortcake Over in Magic Kingdom, Jungle Navigation Co., Ltd. Skipper Canteen added the Brigadeiro Prestígio. It’s a dark chocolate ganache tart with coconut mousse and salted dulce de leche. ©Disney Tucked into Adventureland, this Jungle Cruise-inspired restaurant has adventurous flavors, and last time we were there, we loved the Kungaloosh! It’s an African-inspired chocolate cake with caramelized bananas served with cashew-caramel ice cream and a topping of coffee dust. Kungaloosh! The Plaza Restaurant is bringing back nostalgic flavors with the addition of the S’mores Cake to its menu. This is a chocolate cake with chocolate ganache, toasted graham cracker crumbs, and toasted marshmallow mousse. Look how delicious that looks! ©Disney We love the milkshakes at The Plaza Restaurant, and there’s no greater feeling at Disney than eating right on Main Street, U.S.A. 26. Magic Kingdom already had the most rides of all the Disney World parks, and within the past few years, it’s added even more to its attraction roster! Cinderella’s Castle The hardest thing to navigate on a Magic Kingdom day is getting every attraction in. The key is to rope drop the newest rides, and we have the secret on how to get that done! Can you believe that TRON Lightcycle / Run is already basically two years old?! Back in April 2023, TRON Lightcycle / Run opened over in Tomorrowland, taking guests on their very own two-wheeled Lightcycles and launching them into the grid. The thrilling one-of-a-kind experience reaches speeds up to 59 miles per hour! Tron! The following year we saw the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which debuted in June 2024. It kept the exact same log flume track and ride system, but replaced the former Splash Mountain theme with an updated Princess and the Frog theme. The ride introduced new characters, new music, and a new setting! Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! Being the newest rides in the park comes with having the longest lines. Their lines can get super long by the middle of the day. Of course, you can pay to skip the lines, using Disney’s Lightning Lane services. But if you don’t want to pay for Lightning Lane, then your best bet is to wake up bright and early! TRON Lightcycle / Run The shortest line for either one of these new rides is right at rope drop — when the park opens! Of course, there are those weird occasions where the wait time is unusually and randomly low in the middle of the day, but that barely happens. There will be guests inside the park before the park’s official opening hours. This is because of a sweet Disney hotel guest perk, Early Theme Park Entry! This grants all Disney hotel guests 30 minutes of extra time inside the parks each day before they open for everyone else. What people don’t realize, though, is that both TRON and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure are NOT open during this time. Early entry sign! That being said, Magic Kingdom did recently make a change that’ll still put Early Entry guests at an advantage for getting to be the first on TRON! Before, the only Magic Kingdom areas you could access during Early Entry were Fantasyland and Tomorrowland (with the exception of TRON). While these areas are still the only areas where you can ride rides before Magic Kingdom’s official opening time, Early Entry guests can now get in line for TRON — even before it officially opens for the day! TRON Lightcycle / Run opens at 9 AM This means if you are a hotel guest with early entry, you can be one of the first inside the TRON queue, and on the ride! If you don’t have Early Entry, though, you may want to head straight to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure — since Frontierland isn’t open during that 30-minute Early Entry period, you have a better chance of getting to the front of the line as the ride is opening for the day. Standby queue at TRON Rope dropping is the best way to get on the popular rides first at low wait times, and truly maximize your day.
