  1. Club 33 is one of the most exclusive clubs at Disney. Not only is there a huge waitlist to join, but once you are invited to join membership costs THOUSANDS of dollars each year. Club 33 Disneyland While you get some pretty sweet perks for being a part of the Club, we have always been curious about how much a Club 33 membership actually costs. Well, we have some insight into how much you will need to shell out to join this exclusive club and the source might surprise you. Club 33 is the private club that has roots in Disneyland. You must have a membership to the club or be invited to visit. However, it is not as simple as showing up to the door with a wad of cash. Nope, in order to become a member you have to be invited to join. Yep, it’s THAT exclusive. Not only do you have to be invited to join, but even after you have been invited it costs a very pretty penny to join. This club will cost you thousands to join and has annual dues that are also in the thousands. New Orleans Square Club 33 According to D23 and The Walt Disney Archives, the club gets its name from its address at Disneyland Resort — 33 Royal Street. Club 33 started in 1967 as a dining location where Disney hosted celebrities, dignitaries, and friends. Now it is the elite club that all of us Disney fans hope to see the inside of one day. While the main dining area is in Disneyland, there are outposts in Disney World and Tokyo Disneyland. Club 33 in Magic Kingdom A Club 33 membership includes access to exclusive lounges, dining, VIP tours, and special events. Even though we knew it is expensive to get a spot in Club 33, we didn’t know an exact number. Well, now we know EXACTLY how much it costs to be a member of Club 33 in Disneyland. Club 33 Entrance Button in Disneyland According to the Los Angeles Times, a lawsuit filed by Scott and Diana Anderson provided us with details on membership fees. In the lawsuit, it states that yearly dues for Club 33 in Disneyland are $31,500. The couple claimed that along with travel and hotel expenses, they were spending close to $125,000 each year for their Disney trips. Disney California Adventure The lawsuit states that Scott and Diana Anderson’s membership to Club 33 was revoked in 2017 after an allegation that Scott Anderson was drunk in public near the entrance of Disney California Adventure. Since then, the couple has spent years and thousands of dollars to try to reinstate their Club 33 membership. ©Disney Last Tuesday, an “Orange County jury rejected their claim that Disney ousted them improperly.” The Andersons have vowed to continue to fight to regain their membership to the club even after spending about $400,000 on the lawsuit already. Disney began offering two great ticket options in April 2024, and they’re still available to purchase. But you’ll have to act quickly for a trip coming up soon if you want to take advantage of these deals! This ticket starts at $89 per day, plus tax, and gives you admission to EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This ticket does NOT give you admission to Magic Kingdom. You get a total of 3 admissions on 3 separate days, one admission per park. ©Disney The 4-day, 4-park ticket must be used within 7 days of the start date selected, and the 3-day, 3-park ticket must be used within 5 days of the start date selected. Purchasing your plane tickets at the right time can help you save money on your trip. That means more money for food or souvenirs! Animal Kingdom Lodge at Christmas According to Google, booking your holiday travel at certain times will provide you with the cheapest options. Historically for Thanksgiving, flight prices have been the lowest 45 days before departure with a range of 26 to 59 days out. Holidays in Disney’s Hollywood Studios For Christmas, ticket prices are the lowest around 58 days before departure, with a range of 36 to 72 days out. For the best flight prices, you will want to start looking into flights for Christmastime towards the end of October. Holidays in Disney World However, if your holiday travels are taking you on an international flight, you should plan to book your flight as early as possible. The low price range for international flights is anytime 50 days or more before departure. You won’t see any significant decrease in flight prices if you wait until closer. In fact, prices tend to be lowest about 101 days before departure. Christmas at Animal Kingdom If you are planning a vacation to Disney World during the holidays, you will not be the only one. According to Google, Orlando is the top-searched destination on Google flights for Thanksgiving, and the number two most searched for Christmas and New Year’s Eve. It is no secret that Disney World is crowded during the holidays, but booking your flight at the right time can help you save money! 12. At the end of September, the price for Lightning Lane Multi Pass is dropping to the lowest price we have seen! Lightning Lane Lightning Lane Multi Pass is Disney’s skip-the-line service, and we noticed that the service will be dropping in price again soon. On September 29th, 2024, you can purchase Magic Kingdom Lightning Lane Multi Pass for $20, EPCOT for $15, Disney’s Hollywood Studios for $20, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom for $15. Lightning Lane Multi Pass was also the same price back on September 4th, 2024. These are the lowest prices we have seen for the service since it was introduced in July 2024. ©Disney The last time prices dropped was during Labor Day weekend. This next price drop is happening on a Sunday at the end of September, however, the prices increase back up the next day. To give you an idea of the prices for Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you can expect the price for the Magic Kingdom Lightning Lane Multi Pass (which has always been the most expensive option) to range from $23-$27 per person, per day. We have also seen the price drop down to $20 for two days now. Magic Kingdom Lightning Lane Multi Pass is the newest skip-the-line service at Disney World. The Lightning Lane Multi Pass is an optional paid service available through the My Disney Experience app which allows you to bypass standby lines and enter the Lightning Lane at select attractions in the parks by paying a base price for multiple attractions. The price varies depending on the day and which park you are making your initial selections for. Haunted Mansion Lightning Lane With Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you can make up to 3 Lightning Lane Multi Pass selections in a park in advance of your visit. Additionally, as you use your initial selections, you can make additional selection so you hold up to 3 Lighting Lane Multi Pass selections at a time. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Lightning Lane If you are staying at a Disney World Resort hotel (and select other hotels), you can purchase and select your first 3 Lightning Lane Multi Passes up to seven days in advance of your check-in day for your entire stay (up to 14 days). All other guests can purchase and select their first 3 Lightning Lane Multi Passes three days in advance. 13. There’s a NEW system for skipping the lines in Disney World! Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway Lightning Lane sign Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass premiered in Disney World in July 2024, replacing the old Genie+ offering. This new system is a paid offering, with prices varying depending on the park and the day, so you may have to budget differently depending on where you’re headed. But it’s exactly that varied pricing structure that may be causing people to make BAD plans! For Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you pay per person, per park each day. Prices can be seen in the My Disney Experience app a few weeks ahead of time, which is helpful for budgeting, but if you’ve checked out the prices, you’ll likely notice that some parks are more expensive than others. For instance, Magic Kingdom is typically the most pricey, while Animal Kingdom is often the cheapest. Lightning Lane How does this affect you? Well, with the new Lightning Lane system, you only have to pay the Multi Pass cost for the park that you’re starting in. If you decide to park hop, you can book Lightning Lanes for a different park later on in the day without paying any extra. So if you start at Animal Kingdom and then hop to Magic Kingdom, you’d be saving money by paying the cheaper cost for the Animal Kingdom service instead of the more expensive cost for Magic Kingdom. Lightning Lane has changed Because of this, some people have been opting to pay for Animal Kingdom’s Lightning Lane Multi Pass and book their initial three attractions there. They then use those Lightning Lanes and book their subsequent selections for Magic Kingdom. But is that actually a good hack? Winnie the Pooh Lightning Lane Well, here’s the BIG problem with trying to save a few bucks with this method. With Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you can make your selections 7 days before your trip if you’re staying at a Disney Resort, and you can make them 3 days before your trip if you’re staying off-site. This means that by the time the day of your visit rolls around, you may find that several popular rides are already booked up. Lightning Lane And if those popular rides aren’t booked up yet, they certainly CAN get booked up quickly in the first few hours of the day. By the time you’ve used your Lightning Lanes at Animal Kingdom and booked new ones at Magic Kingdom, you’ll likely be down to slim pickings or only return times that are late in the day. Expedition Everest So even if you manage to save a few bucks, you’ll definitely be sacrificing on quality of Lightning Lanes when you get to your second park! If you can’t book Lightning Lanes that will actually save you time in the park, is it worth it to spend the money at all? We’ll make sure to keep you updated with more Lightning Lane tips and tricks, so stay tuned to DFB. Everything You Need to Know About Lightning Lane Multi Pass — Click Here! 14. We won’t lie to you — getting around Disney World property can be a PAIN! Disney Bus Disney World’s land mass is literally the size of San Francisco, and that means that it can take you a WHILE to hop from one place to another, whether you’re heading to the parks, hotels, Disney Springs, or anywhere else. Bus transportation is often the simplest solution to getting around the parks, but just sitting around and waiting for those buses is a nuisance — good thing we’ve got a hack to help you improve that wait! Did you know you can TRACK your Disney World bus on the Google Maps app? To start, you’ll need to put your starting location and final destination in the app, then select the “public transportation” tab. Here, it’ll tell you how long the path will take. ©Google From there, click on the route you’re interested in to get a full breakdown of what the trip will be like. Since we just selected Saratoga Springs as our initial location, the app made sure to include the walk to the bus stop from the main building. ©Google If you select the bus option from that last screen, it’ll take you to a bus schedule tab! This shows when the Disney buses are expected to arrive at the bus stop throughout the day. Very handy! It looks like the buses were set to come about every 25 minutes for our route. ©Google But the REAL kicker is that when you click on the bus you want to ride, the app will track it for you! Ours gave us a full schedule of all the places the bus stops and what time it will reach those spots. This is particularly helpful at resorts like Saratoga Springs where there’s an internal bus loop and you want to see the route it takes. ©Google Just think how well you could plan your day by using this tool! Want to grab a snack or use the bathroom before the bus arrives? Now you know if you have the time! There are so many different ways you could apply this hack to your travels, so don’t forget to download Google Maps before your trip. 16. Hidden among the trees of Disney World lies a resort so secluded that few people know it exists. Treehouse Villas Part of Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort, Disney’s Treehouse Villas are part of Disney Vacation Club and are hidden across from Saratoga Springs. While these villas are not actually in a tree, you are surrounded by trees and greenery in a three-bedroom elevated villa. There are 60 treehouses, making the Treehouse Villas feel like its own neighborhood. This resort is so hidden that if you did not leave the property, you would not really think you are at Disney World. The Treehouse Villas have a long history and were once even used for Disney College Program housing! On June 1st, 2009, they opened as we know them today. These villas are built in the natural forest glens along the Sassagoula River and are elevated 10 feet off the ground on pedestals and beams. Treehouse Villas Each treehouse can sleep up to nine people. Each treehouse has beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows that allow you to take in all the sights and beauty of the forest glens. Depending on where your villa is located, you will have a view of the Lake Buena Vista Golf Course, the pool, forest glens, and even the Sassagoula River. On this particular visit, our villa was right by the river, and we could see the boats going by through the trees. Sassagoula River Now, we know rain can be annoying at Disney World, but trust us, it is so serene and peaceful when it rains at the Treehouse Villas. When we stay here, we secretly hope it rains so we can open the windows and be surrounded by the rain. Rainy Day in Magic Kingdom Transportation options are minimal at the Treehouse Villas. There are two bus stops: the North Bus Stop and the South Bus Stop. A bus comes through about every 30 minutes to take you over to Saratoga Springs to catch another bus to your destination. The roads are one-way and very tight, and it is a feat in itself that the busses are able to drive through this resort. South Bus Stop The Sassagoula River Cruise boats make a stop at the Treehouse Villas as well. The boat offers transportation to Saratoga Springs as well as Disney Springs. You can also take the boat to Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts and Disney’s Old Key West Resort from Disney Springs. Saratoga Springs Boat While secluded in the trees, you can emerge on a walking path to both Saratoga Springs and Old Key West. When we stayed here, we walked to both resorts and Disney Springs! Walking path to Saratoga Springs and Old Key West If you are looking for more efficient transportation but want to stay at the Treehouse Villas, we recommend you bring your own car or rent one. There are parking spots outside each block of treehouses. You can take different pathways to get to other resorts While you are welcome to use the pools at Saratoga Springs, the Treehouse Villas has its own pool. It is nothing special as it is just a square pool with a water feature, but most of the time, you can find it empty since only a limited number of people can stay at this small resort. The Pool There is even a hot tub and a bathroom on-site at the pool. Hot Tub at Treehouse Villas Now, let’s take a look inside one of these treehouses! When you arrive at your treehouse, you will have a private staircase to climb up. There are wheelchair-accessible treehouses that have a ramp instead of a staircase. Go up the stairs Here, you will find your own private patio—it is huge! It has a table, four chairs, and a bench. It is the perfect place for a morning coffee. Private Patio Once inside, you will find yourself in the kitchen and living room area. There is a large table that can seat six people and a bar that can seat three. The Kitchen The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, sink, dishwasher, and a full fridge with a freezer and ice maker. There are also utensils, plates, bowls, glasses, and other cooking needs. Kitchen When we stay at a resort with a freezer, we like to buy Mickey Premium Bars to keep in our freezer so we can always have Mickey ice cream whenever we please! You can pick up Mickey ice cream and other quick meals at the Artist Palette inside the main building of Saratoga Springs. The kitchen is fully equiped! The living room has a TV, two chairs, and a couch. The couch is a pull-out that converts into a queen-sized bed, and one of the single chairs converts into a twin-sized bed. Thus, the living room sleeps three. The Living Room This leads into the master bedroom, which sleeps two. It has a queen bed and its own connected bathroom. Master Bedroom The bathroom in the Master Bedroom has a tub inside the shower. The Master Bathroom On the other side of the kitchen you will find the hallway that has the second bedroom. This room has a bunk bed and a TV. It can sleep two. Twin bunk beds The third bedroom is right next to the room with the bunk beds. It has a queen bed, a TV, and can sleep two people. Bedroom three Across from the third bedroom is the laundry closet. It contains a washer and dryer and some laundry supplies. Laundry Closet At the end of this hallway, there is a full bathroom. Bathroom The Treehouse Villas are a great escape for those who want a more laid-back vacation. It is also great for large families who want to stay together on vacation, or for smaller families who each want their own space. Treehouse Villas If you prefer to be closer to the main lobby and have better transportation options, this resort may not be for you. Pool House Regardless, the Treehouse Villas are beautiful and are indeed a hidden gem of Disney World. Want More Details About Disney World’s Hotels? 17. A new lounge is coming to Magic Kingdom in 2025 that will be themed to the classic Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. We are looking forward to stopping in after a long day at sea! Cinderella Castle The new Pirates of the Caribbean lounge will continue the story of Pirates of the Caribbean and provide a place for pirates of all ages to gather. However, there is one question that we don’t know the answer to yet: will this new lounge serve alcohol? Now, you may be thinking, why wouldn’t a tavern serve alcohol? Location, location, location. It may seem obvious that a Pirates of the Caribbean tavern would serve alcohol, after all pirates REALLY love their rum. However, the fact that the tavern is being built in Magic Kingdom might throw a wrench in that idea. Pirates of the Caribbean To better understand why a Pirates tavern might not be serving alcohol, we need to take a bit of a trip down memory lane. When Magic Kingdom opened in 1971 there was NO alcohol served anywhere in the park. It wasn’t until 1982, when EPCOT opened, that alcohol was served in a Disney World park. Even as the other two parks (Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom) were built and alcohol was served in them, Magic Kingdom remained a “dry” park where you could not purchase an adult beverage. EPCOT However, that changed in 2012, when Be Our Guest opened with the new Fantasyland expansion and became the first dining location in Magic Kingdom to offer alcoholic beverages. Alcoholic beverages have since been added to more menus around the park, but you still cannot purchase alcohol at counter service or kiosk locations. If you are looking for an alcoholic beverage in Magic Kingdom, you can ONLY get one at a table service restaurant. You won’t be able to walk up to a popcorn cart and find a beer on the menu in Magic Kingdom. Be Our Guest Read more about the history of alcohol in Magic Kingdom here! So, that leads us to the million-dollar question of whether Disney is going to consider the new Pirates of the Caribbean Tavern as a counter service or table service restaurant? Will you be able to procure an adult beverage inside or will you still need to make your way to a different table service restaurant? Gold Rush at Liberty Tree Tavern We have a theory that since they serve food, the tavern will be set up as a sit-down lounge with servers. When looking at the concept art, you will notice a server carrying drinks. For that reason, we feel like the tavern will be closer to a table service spot and will serve alcohol. The glasses in the concept art look like they have alcohol in them. Pirate Tavern Concept Art ©Disney There are wine glasses with what looks to be red wine inside, as well as beer steins with beer colored liquid inside. The ambiance of the bar seems to be more similar to a sit-down location versus a grab and go kiosk. While it is just our own speculation of whether alcohol will be available, we are thinking that you will be probably be able to enjoy an adult beverage at the new Pirates of the Caribbean Tavern. Pirates Tavern Concept Art ©Disney We have a feeling that this new tavern may work similarly to Oga’s Cantina in Disney’s Hollywood Studios where you are seated as if you are at a table service location (or in some cases standing) and are served by a server. We won’t know for sure until we get confirmation from Disney, but those are just our thoughts on the matter until we know for sure! Oga’s Cantina in Disney’s Hollywood Studios While we wait to see if alcohol will be served at this new tavern, there are SO many amazing dining locations to explore at Disney World. 20. Okay, we’ll admit it, we LOVE POG juice. If you haven’t this wonderful concoction of passionfruit, orange, and mango fruit juices, you are missing out. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort For example, if you have breakfast in a few places in Disney World, you can get POG juice in nearly unlimited amounts. But you can also find POG-flavored treats throughout Disney World. We’ve had everything from POG cupcakes to POG gelato to a POG-flavored eclair. ALL the POG. So when we found out you could get POG Juice Macarons from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, we hopped on the Monorail and headed on over! If you head on over to Kona Island at the Polynesian, you can order a box of five POG Juice Macarons for $7.99. But wait, there’s more! Not only are these POG Juice-flavored, but they are also plant-based, meaning they don’t have any dairy or eggs in them. Okay, that makes us a little skeptical because how could you POSSIBLY make a good macaron without eggs and dairy? Well, Disney figured it out! Five perfect macarons In fact, it’s rather remarkable Disney figured out how to get an authentic meringue-like texture with these macarons without egg and dairy. Yes, Disney nailed it. HOWEVER, with that being said, these tasted more like coconut to us, than POG-flavored, which could have something to do with what was used to replace the egg and dairy in the recipe. But overall, they’re still delicious. Not very Pog flavored, though These are a great choice for those with plant-based diets who’ve wanted to try macarons and haven’t been able to. We’d love to see these rotate out at Kona Island with different flavors throughout the year (hint, hint, Disney). Extreme closeup So, if you’re looking for a solid macaron, you might want to head on over to the Polynesian to grab a box of these. You don’t even have to share them if you don’t want to! 21. Things are changing SO much in Disney World that it’s hard to keep up. We recently said goodbye to Genie+ (Disney’s skip-the-line service) and hello to Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass. Even more changes are coming soon, too, with the addition of a Cars land and a villains land to Magic Kingdom, a Monsters, Inc. land and villains show in Hollywood Studios, and a land re-theme in Animal Kingdom. However, one big change is happening tomorrow on September 9th, and it’s happening to a popular ride in Magic Kingdom. So we wanted to remind you about this change so you’re not caught by surprise. As we previously reported, TRON Lightcycle / Run will be getting rid of its virtual queue tomorrow, September 9th, and will switch to a standby line. That means if you want to ride it, you’ll need to either wait in the standby line or purchase the Lightning Lane Single Pass (it’s like a paid express pass). So you won’t have to get up at 7AM to try and get in the ride’s virtual queue and we wanted to make sure you knew that! TRON Lightcycle / Run However, if you choose to wait in the standby line, we’ve got more updates. First, you won’t be able to ride TRON Lightcycle / Run during Early Theme Park Entry. Instead, you can try to rope-drop it, but let’s just say almost everyone will probably have that exact same idea. We expect that standby line to be pretty long in the morning, so it might be best to wait it out and see if it gets shorter later in the day. Otherwise, your best bet to skip the long lines might just be paying for the Lightning Lane Single Pass. TRON Lightcycle / Run This could mean more traffic in Tomorrowland, too, as everyone heads over to the standby line, but hey, once they’re in the line, that might mean LESS crowds throughout the park, so bright side, RIGHT? But yeah, we just wanted to give you a heads up and a reminder that things are about to change with TRON Lightcycle / Run in Disney World. Stay tuned to DFB for more. 22. It’s the season of all things spooky, so yes, we’re riding Haunted Mansion a lot right now in Disney World. Okay, granted, we don’t need it to be Halloween to ride one of our favorite rides, but we love trying to spot new things. Haunted Mansion We’ve recently seen some new additions to the Haunted Mansion, too. Last year, we finally got our own version of Hatbox Ghost. Then there was the addition of a nice Rolly Crump Easter Egg. Then one of the picnic ghosts returned to the cemetery scene in the ride. Now, the second picnic ghost has returned after having been gone for some time. During a recent visit to Magic Kingdom, we decided to ride Haunted Mansion…AGAIN. Seriously, we’ll never get tired of this ride. So, yes, we previously reported that a ghost having a picnic had recently returned to the ride. Here’s what he looks like, top hat and all. Picnic ghost This poor man, though, seems to be having a picnic all by himself. How sad! However, he’s not supposed to be alone, as seen in this Haunted Mansion concept art. He’s supposed to be having a picnic with a lady friend. ©Disney Well, we’ve got some good news. Mr. Top Hat Guy is no longer by himself. His lady friend ghost has joined him. She’s been missing for a while, so maybe the two had a bit of a spat or something. She’s back! Maybe Miss Fancy Pants just needed a vacation and took a little time to reflect on her unlife as a ghost. Who knows why she was gone, but it’s good to see her back and picnicking with her friend. Reunited So be sure to pay your respects to this couple the next time you ride Haunted Mansion in Disney World. And stay tuned to DFB for more. 23. We know a thing or two about dining at Disney World! California Grill Not only have we dined at every restaurant at Disney World, but we have even stayed at every hotel in Disney World. We have ranked hotels and restaurants, but then we thought, “What if we ranked Disney World hotels just based on their restaurants instead?” So that is precisely what we are going to do! Buckle up because this list is long! We will be going from our least favorite to our favorite. Olivia’s Cafe 16. Saratoga Springs Saratoga Springs is home to one quick service location and one table service location. They also have a window that serves quick bites to golfers who are golfing on the Lake Buena Vista Golf Course. Saratoga Springs While this resort does have a table service restaurant, the Turf Club is just okay for us. The theming is dated, and the menu is not too spectacular — despite having gotten an overhaul recently. It is still a good place to dine if you are staying at the resort, but we would not go out of the way for it. Turf Club Bar & Grill Artist’s Palette is the resort’s quick service location; you can find rotational menu items and single-serve pizzas. The menu is tiny, which is why Saratoga Springs is ranked last on our list, but you can find some fun cupcakes here! The Artist’s Palette 15. The All-Star Resorts All three All-Star Resorts (Movies, Music, and Sports) have a bar and a food court. The food court menus are extensive and cater to a large array of tastes. World Premiere Food Court There are no table service locations for this resort, which ranks it as low, but we placed it a bit higher than Saratoga Springs since the menus at the food courts offer much more. All-Star Resorts 14. Pop Century and Art of Animation Just like the All-Star Resorts, Pop Century and Art of Animation only have food courts as their dining option as they are Value Resorts. Everything Pop Just like the All-Star Resorts, they have an extensive menu. We ranked these two resorts to be higher than the All-Star Resorts since they are within walking distance of each other, meaning it is easy for you to check out both food courts. Landscape of Flavors These resorts also have a Skyliner station, which means you have easy access to other dining options at the other Skyliner hotels. Skyliner Station at Disney’s Pop Century and Art of Animation Resorts 13. Old Key West Up next, we have Old Key West. This resort is home to Olivia’s Cafe, that serves up breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can even Mobile Order from this table service restaurant. Olivia’s Cafe There is also a bar, The Gurgling Suitcase, along with a quick service option. While we love the menu at Oliva’s Cafe, Old Key West ranks lower as all the dining options are in one location far from many hotel buildings. Gurgling Suitcase 12. Caribbean Beach Caribbean Beach is on the Skyliner line and is home to one of our favorite all-you-care-to-enjoy restaurants, Sebastian’s Bistro. This location serves up a great family-style meal for a decent price. Sebastian’s Bistro There is also a quick service location that offers grab-and-go items and there is also a quick service window, Spyglass Grill. Spyglass Grill 11. Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground Fort Wilderness is home to the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue, which is an all-you-care-to-enjoy meal that features alcohol included in the price of your meal. Combine this with a fun dinner show, and it makes it the perfect reason for you to visit Fort Wilderness. Hoop Dee Doo If you want to try the delicious food at Hoop Dee Doo but do not want to sit for a table service meal, you can dine right next door at Trail’s End as they serve many of the same menu items. Trail’s End Restaurant And if you are looking for some bar eats and fun western cocktails, you can head to Crockett’s Tavern, which shares the same building as Trail’s End. Moonshine Cocktail Flight at Crockett’s Tavern 10. Port Orleans — French Quarter and Riverside We have two words for you– Mickey Beignets. That is right, Port Orleans French Quarter is going to be the one place where you will find Mickey Beignets at Disney World. Port Orleans — French Quarter Both French Quarter and Riverside have quick-service dining options as well as a few lounges. If you are looking for a table service meal, you will need to head over to Riverside to dine at Boatwright’s Dining Hall. Also, at Riverside, you will find Yehaa Bob Jackson at River Roost Lounge on select nights. He is a staple of this resort, and people go out of their way to see him perform. Boatwright’s Dining Hall 9. Coronado Springs Coronado Springs is home to some really great dining options and some just okay options. The great dining options help boost Coronado Springs up on the list. Coronado Springs We love to grab a bite to eat at Three Bridges Bar and Grill. This location is in the middle of the water and is so popular that most nights, there is a wait. You can also Mobile Order from this location. Three Bridges Bar and Grill On the top floor of the Gran Destino Tower, you will find the Dahlia Lounge, which offers quick bites and drinks with an expansive view of Disney World. Dahlia Lounge at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort And right next door, you will find the beautiful Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood. The architecture in this restaurant is so pretty, and the food is also excellent. Toledo Coronado Springs is also home to a food court. You will also find Rix Sports Bar and Maya Grill near the food court. Rix Sports Bar, unfortunately, tends to rank at the bottom of most of our restaurant rankings, and Maya Grill does as well due to its limited hours. Rix Sports Bar & Grill With all of that being said, Toledo, Dalia Lounge, and Three Bridges significantly help Coronado Springs’ ranking. 8. Contemporary Resort With a prime location right next to Magic Kingdom, the Contemporary is a great spot to stop at for breakfast before you head into the parks or a great stop for a mid-day break from the parks. Disney’s Contemporary Resort The Contemporary is home to Chef Mickey’s, which is an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet that doubles as a character meal! Chef Mickey’s For a more casual but still elevated dining experience, you can check out Steakhouse 71, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you are in the mood for a nicer table service meal, you can head up to the top floor of the resort and dine at California Grill. This restaurant not only has a delicious menu but has stunning views of the Magic Kingdom. Trust us, you are going to want to dine here during fireworks. Steakhouse 71 Along with table service meals, the Contemporary is also home to a bar and a quick-service location. 7. BoardWalk Inn The BoardWalk shines at night when it is all lit up and filled with different entertainment acts. Here, you will find fun bars like Jellyrolls and AbracadaBar. Jellyrolls If you are looking for a quick bite to eat, you can check out the deli, ice cream shop, pizza window, and the newly opened Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs. Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs For table service, the BoardWalk has both an Italian restaurant, Trattoria al Forno, and a seafood restaurant, Flying Fish. Flying Fish Plus, the BoardWalk will soon be home to the Cake Bake Shop. It is also very close to EPCOT and other resorts, which means even more dining options! 7. Wilderness Lodge Wilderness Lodge is home to so many different dining options. You can dine at Whispering Canyon, where your servers get in on the fun. This location is also all you care to enjoy. Whispering Canyon Artist Point — Story Book Dining with Snow White offers a unique character meal where you can meet Snow White, Dopey, and Grumpy. Artist Point restaurant For a more relaxed table service meal, Geyser Point Bar and Grill has excellent views of the water and the resort. This spot also offers Mobile Order. Plus, the resort has a great quick-service grab-and-go option as well. Geyser Point Bar & Grill 6. Polynesian Village Resort The Polynesian is home to many popular dining spots. Here you will find ‘Ohana, which is an all-you-care-to-enjoy meal. In the morning, for breakfast, you can find Stitch, Lilo, Mickey, and Pluto here. ‘Ohana If you are looking for other breakfast options, you can get the famous Tonga Toast at both Capt. Cook’s and Kona Cafe. Kona Cafe, a table service, also offers Mobile Order. Capt. Cook’s is a solid quick service option for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Kona Cafe There are also plenty of great bars at the Polynesian. You can grab a coffee and sushi at Kona Island. If you want to grab a drink and try some of ‘Ohana’s most popular dishes, you can dine at Tambu Lounge. Tambu Lounge And how could we forget? The Polynesian is home to Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto, which might arguably be one of the most popular bars at Disney World! A line usually forms before Trader Sam’s even opens! Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto 5. Riviera Resort As Disney World’s newest resort, the Riviera has solid dining options. You can dine on the top floor at Topolino’s Terrace for breakfast and a character meal. At nighttime, Topolino’s Terrace offers a delicious menu with stunning views of EPCOT. Dining room at Topolino’s Terrace There are also great casual options here, like their quick service location, Primo Piatto, and their bar, Bar Riva. The Riviera is also home to one of our favorite spots to grab a coffee at Le Petit Café. Bar Riva The Riviera is also on the Skyliner line, connecting it to other resorts for other dining options. 3. Yacht and Beach Club While they are two separate resorts, Yacht and Beach Club are so close together that it is almost like they are one combined resort. Stormalong Bay At Beach Club, you will find Cape May, which is a buffet for breakfast and dinner. During breakfast time, Minnie’s Beach Bash takes place, where you can meet Minnie and her friends. Cape May Cafe Beach Club is also home to Beaches and Cream, where you can order the iconic Kitchen Sink Sundae. Kitchen Sink Over at Yacht Club, you will find great options like Ale and Compass Restaurant and the Ale and Compass Lounge. If you want to dine at a steakhouse, you are in luck at you will find Yachtsman Steakhouse here. Next door to Yachtsman is the Crew’s Cup Lounge, which offers a laid-back environment with some of the same eats you can find at Yachtsman. Ale and Compass To round out these two resorts, they each have their own grab-and-go and quick service locations. Plus, they are super close to EPCOT and the BoardWalk, which means more dining options. 2. Animal Kingdom Lodge Who would not want to dine with safari views? Animal Kingdom Lodge is home to solid dining locations, and we will go out of our way to eat here! Animal Kingdom Lodge You can find African-inspired cuisines at Boma, The Mara, Sanaa, and Jiko. Boma offers a buffet for both breakfast and lunch. Sanaa is one of our favorite places to dine, and the bread service is a must-get. Boma The Mara also offers quick grab-and-go meals, and there are plenty of bars and lounges around the resort, which is why it ranks so high on our list. Animal Kingdom Lodge It was so hard for us to place Animal Kingdom Lodge in second since we think it truly has some of the best dining locations on the property, but our number one pick has Animal Kingdom Lodge just beaten by a little. Sanaa 1. Grand Floridian And for our number one pick, we have the Grand Floridian. The Grand Floridian is home to SO MANY dining locations. It is also in the perfect spot where you can walk or take the monorail from Magic Kingdom to dine here before or after your park day. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort Dining at the Grand Floridian is so good that we even think highly of its quick service location, Gasparilla Island Grill. You can find an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet and character meal at 1900 Park Fare. For another casual table service meal with no characters, you can dine next door at the Grand Floridian Cafe. 1900 Park Fare For more upscale dining, you can dine at both Citricos as well as one of our favorites, Narcoossees. Narcoossees is right on the water and has a great view of Magic Kingdom’s fireworks. And for the most upscale dining experience of them all, you can dine at Victoria and Alberts. Narcoossees The Grand Floridian is even home to a Beauty and the Best themed bar, the Enchanted Rose Lounge. Enchanted Rose Lounge in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort Based on the number of dining options and its proximity to the Magic Kingdom, it had to make the top of our list. Gasparilla Island Grill And there you have it! While all of these resorts have their pros and cons for dining, there are so many great options, and each resort or nearby the resort, that you will not have trouble finding a good place to eat. 24. Sometimes you just want a classic steakhouse meal with a classic steakhouse experience. Yachtsman Steakhouse The thing is, there are several steakhouses in Disney World, but the ones most people think about are places like Le Cellier in the Canada Pavilion in EPCOT and Steakhouse 71 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. However, one of the most overlooked steakhouses is probably Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, just steps away from EPCOT via International Gateway. We just revisited Yachtsman Steakhouse to see if it’s as good as we remember, and we’re taking you along for the ride! Atmosphere Yachtsman Steak House is in Disney’s Yacht Club, so yes, it has a classic nautical vibe. One thing we love is that you can even see the chefs working on your food because the restaurant has an open kitchen. However, what sets this place apart is that there’s a butcher window where you can watch your meat being cut (however, if that’s NOT your thing, you might want to look away!). Yachtsman Steakhouse also has several dining rooms with lots of wood incorporated into its nautical design. Inside the restaurant Seating is plentiful, with standard tables and chairs, as well as some booths. Tables are set up with cloth napkins and utensils. Yep, we’re eating a lot fancier here than we do when we’re grabbing something from the food court at Disney’s All-Star Resorts. So yes, it’s a little fancy, but at the same time, it doesn’t feel bougie. It’s a cozy, kinda upscale vibe. Table setting Okay, let’s get to eating! Menu You’ll see that Yachtsman Steakhouse is a traditional restaurant in that the menu screams “classic steakhouse.” You can grab a variety of First Course options like soups and salads. Of course, this is a steakhouse, so if you’re here for steak (as you should be), you’ll find the Butcher Cuts or one of the Chef’s Signature items. You can also add to your entree with a Butcher’s Cut Enhancement. You can also get a Sauce Flight — say WHAT? If you want chicken or fish, that’s also an option, as well as a variety of side items and desserts. The menu Want something to drink? There are specialty cocktails, beer, and wines. Drinks menu As you can see, the wine list is quite extensive. More drinks There’s a selection of whiskey, bourbon, vodka, gin, rum, scotch, tequila, and even some flights. Even more drinks Okay, let’s dive into some food! Eats The complimentary bread service is one of our favorites at Disney World. Although it’s not flashy, the yeast rolls and flaky onion rolls are delicious and served with garlic confit and salted butter. Bread The flaky onion rolls are amazing — they pull apart like layered biscuits and have these little pieces of onion on them. YUM. Onion roll For our appetizer, we ordered the Lobster Bisque for $18 made with Lobster Biscuit, Crème Fraîche, and Espelette Oil. This is one the best soups we’ve had in Disney World, and that’s counting the lobster bisque we recently had at Narcoossee’s. It’s so creamy and buttery, with just the right amount of lobster, without tasting overtly fishy. It’s decadent enough to split, too (which we did, so the photo below is a half portion). We’re glad the server warned us of how rich this soup is because we would have filled up on this alone because it’s so good. Lobster Bisque The 7 oz. Filet Mignon is $59 and is served with Mashed Potatoes and a sauce of your choice (we chose the bordelaise sauce). First, we’re pretty sure those potatoes had some kind of cream (maybe sour cream) in them. Filet Mignon The steak is INCREDIBLE and we are almost ashamed to admit that we scarfed it down. We had it cooked medium rare, so it had a red center, but was warm throughout. It was perfectly cooked. We didn’t expect any less considering there is an actual butcher’s room IN the restaurant and all the steaks are aged in-house. This is why you should come here: FOR THE STEAK. Perfectly cooked We also got the Sauce Flight for $9, which comes with House Steak Sauce, Béarnaise, Peppercorn, Blue Cheese, and Bordelaise. Our favorite was the béarnaise and the peppercorn sauce, although the bordelaise was also very flavorful. However, the blue cheese and house steak sauce didn’t impress us — they were lacking in flavor. This is something you get if everyone is ordering steak at the table, but we just had the one, so we would’ve probably been better off just choosing just one of our favorite sauces. It was still fun to try them all out, though. Sauce flight We chose two sides for our meal, including the Truffle Macaroni and Cheese for $14.50. This mac and cheese was SO creamy and had just the right amount of truffle flavor, so it wasn’t overwhelming. Even the noodle shape was perfect because it carried the cheese well. Truffle Macaroni and Cheese We also got the Hot Honey-Bourbon Brussels Sprouts with Chili-candied Walnuts for $12.50. They were good, but we wouldn’t call them fantastic. There are far better Brussels Sprouts in Disney World, like what you get at The Polite Pig in Disney Springs. These are well-cooked and well-seasoned, and the walnuts add a nice crunch, but they’re still not much of a standout. Hot Honey-Bourbon Brussels Sprouts Our other entree was the Chilean Sea Bass with Rock Shrimp Perlou, Chorizo, Crab Beurre Blanc, and Pickled Heirloom Tomatoes for $56. So, this one disappointed us. We LOVE Chilean Sea Bass, but this was just not great. It was cooked well and flaked apart nicely, so the texture worked for us. However, it was SO salty, too much so. The rice served with it is forgettable (although it had a nice tomato flavor). The crab meat was nice, so we’ll give it that. But this isn’t something we’d ever order here again. Chilean Sea Bass At this point, we were pretty full, so we didn’t opt for dessert, but several choices were available. Nosh or Not You should visit Yachtsman Steakhouse if… You want a classic steakhouse experience. This is about as classic of a steakhouse experience as you can find in Disney World, from the atmosphere to the actual steak (which is excellent). You have time. Our meal took a few hours total, so you’ll want to have the time to spend there to really enjoy the experience. You’re staying at the Yacht Club. If you’re staying at the Yacht Club or one of the nearby hotels and want an upscale meal — or even a date night meal — without having to go far, this is a great option. You should skip Yachtsman Steakhouse if… You’re on a budget. When we say “upscale classic steakhouse,” that means this spot is going to be a little pricey. If you’re on a tight budget, you might want to eat elsewhere. You’re not staying at the Yacht Club. With all that being said, we think this isn’t the kind of restaurant you should travel to if you’re not staying at the hotel. Even if you’re staying in the EPCOT area, there are other restaurants in the vicinity that might be a better option. You’re not a meat eater. The menu at Yachtsman Steakhouse is pretty much targeted at carnivores. You’ll only find a few plant-based options on the menu, and they may not appeal to you. Overall We love the vibe of this restaurant, and our service was excellent. Our meal took a while to come out to our table, so you will need some time to enjoy dining here, but the food was good. Was it good enough to make a special trip to the Yacht Club? Well, maybe not considering the number of great restaurants in the EPCOT area. However, if you’re staying at the Yacht Club or nearby and want a nice dinner that feels a little upscale but not super flashy, this could be a good option. Overall, we don’t think Yachtsman Steakhouse is anything special, but at the same time, that might be just what you’re looking for: just solidly good soup and steak. 25. It can be really hard not to stay at a hotel on property when you go to Disney World, right? Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter With the accessibility to the parks and Disney Springs, all the immersion, and the food, you’ve really got it made when you’re thinking about staying in a Disney World hotel at any level — value, moderate, or deluxe. Now when it comes to Disney World and the hotels specifically, we all love a good hack that can make things easier for us or elevate our experiences. That got us thinking about some of the hacks that we’re not using, so we reached out to you to get your thoughts on the matter. Well, we asked and you delivered! We reached out to our followers on Facebook to ask: “What are your favorite Disney World hotel tips and tricks that not enough people use?” We had quite a few people leave their opinions in the comments! What do you think? Now, let’s dive into some of your responses! Split Stays First up, have you heard of a split stay? If not, here’s what they are. Basically, you book a stay at two different resorts (a more budget friendly one and a deluxe). In other words, you stay for part of your time at a value resort, and then you transition over to a deluxe resort for your last few days (and Disney will even transport your belongings from one room to another). This hack allows you to enjoy the luxury of Disney’s deluxe resorts without paying the premium price for your entire vacation. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa To this point, DFB reader Lori swears by it saying, “Split stays are the best! We stay in a less expensive hotel for the bulk of our stay and move to a deluxe for a night or two. It’s great ending your trip with a little luxury, but not spending that much money for the whole stay!” And if you’re still not convinced, Kate adds, “Say it with me, y’all: SPLIT STAY!” Again, this hack gets you to ask yourself, “Why settle for just one experience when you can split your time between a budget-friendly resort and a fancy one?” It’s like the best of both worlds! Plan a Resort Day Let’s be real. Disney World is magical, but it’s also exhausting. This is where the “Resort Day” hack comes in. This is one hack you’ll thank yourself for later. Take a day to rest at the pool! As DFB reader Steve puts it, “A resort day is as good as a park day.” We couldn’t agree more, and he’s not alone as many a Disney “pro” schedule resort days to break up the intense park days. For example, Greg shared, “We often plan our trips so we have no more than two park days in a row, then a resort day to relax. What’s the point of a vacation if you don’t have some downtime?” Planning a resort day gives you the time you need to recharge. As another example, Steven suggests, “Plan a resort day on travel days. And then resort days between park days. You have to have some R&R on vacation.” At the end of the day, make sure to remember Shawns words, “Make sure you budget in a resort day!” Take a Midday Break If you’ve been to Disney World, you know that midday heat can make you want to melt, which makes it the perfect time for taking a midday break back at your hotel! This is a hack that ensures you’ll avoid burnout and keep the magic going all day (and night). Wilderness Lodge DFB reader Jeff shared his strategy: “Rope drop for 4-5 hours. Go back to the hotel and nap for 3-4 hours. Close the park down. Sleep late the next day.” This plan lets you hit those early morning must-do rides and enjoy the cooler evenings. Elmer agrees: “Go back to your hotel room between 12 pm and 4 pm.” If you use this hack, trust us, your feet will thank you. Rent DVC Points Here’s a next-level hack you have to remember to use — Rent Disney Vacation Club (DVC) points. This one can get you deluxe accommodations at a fraction of the cost! Disney’s Riviera Resort DFB reader Spencer says, “Rent DVC points and stay at a nice hotel for the cost of a budget one.” Meanwhile, Pamela added, “I’ve stayed at Poly, AKL, and Riviera for much less than rack rate by renting.” If you want to get those deluxe resort vibes without the deluxe price tag, make sure to use this hack. Just be sure you’re using a reputable agency — like David’s Vacation Club Rentals. Be Kind to Cast Members Now this last tip might not save you money, but it will definitely upgrade your Disney World experience. Simply put, just be kind. To that point, DFB reader Greg said, “Always be kind to Cast Members and compliment them often.” Chad chimed in, reminding us all: “Being polite to other guests/cast members and following the rules.” ©Disney Not only does kindness have a habit of making someone’s day, but you’ll also find that Cast Members often go the extra mile when they feel appreciated.
