We got to experience a very special event recently! Moonlight Magic We went to Disney Vacation Club’s exclusive event for members, Moonlight Magic, at Hollywood Studios. Moonlight Magic events are complimentary for members and take place at different parks throughout the year. Members can sign up and reserve their spots on the Disney Vacation Club Website. We are so grateful that we got to check out this event that gives Disney Vacation Club members and their families a chance to enjoy attractions, special character interactions, entertainment, and snacks after hours! As we mentioned, Moonlight Magic is for Disney Vacation Club members and can be compared to a Disney After Hours event—except this one is free! Park capacity is limited, which means ride wait times stay low throughout the night. Moonlight Magic We went to the Moonlight Magic offering in Hollywood Studios, and the event lasted from 9:30PM to 12:30AM, after the park closed to the general public. Unlike other After Hours events, this event does not grant you early admission into the park. Moonlight Magic in Hollywood Studios First, we got our map and wristbands! Wristband The map was specially made for the event! Map for Hollywood Studios Moonlight Magic We were even given snack coupons that we could use throughout the night. Just like other After Hours events, you can get unlimited ice cream and other snacks. BUT these snack certificates allowed us to get qualifying food and drink items that were part of the Disney Dining Plan at select dining locations. This is another huge perk of this free event! Snack Coupons We made sure to get lots of ice cream! Free ice cream! Specialty entertainment offerings included this DJ who was set up in front of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. DJ Of course, we also spent the night finding all the cool character meet-and-greets! We got to see Moongirl from Moongirl and Devil Dinosaur, some of our favorite monsters from Monsters Inc., Mickey and Minnie in their Halloween best, and even Jawas from Star Wars! Breea and the Jawas Seeing George Sanderson was a huge surprise! Hey, Monsters! Mickey and Minnie greeted in front of Hollywood and Vine. Mickey and Minnie are ready for Halloween! As expected, wait times were super low throughout the night since attendance is limited. Check out those low waits! Look at how low the wait time for Rise of the Resistance was! 10 minutes for stand-by is almost unheard of! Only 10 minutes for Rise! If the night could not get any better, we even got to see a special showing of Fantasmic! Fantasmic! at Moonlight Magic The park was pretty empty throughout the night, so it really did feel like we had the park to ourselves at some points. Moonlight Magic Moonlight Magic is one of the many perks that Disney Vacation Club Members get to take advantage of as part of their membership. We had so much fun at Moonlight Magic and can’t get over how this event is free! Check Out More Disney Vacation Club Perks! Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! It’s been less than a month since Hurricane Debby turned Tropical Storm Debby hit Florida. Tropical Storm Debby at Magic Kingdom The worst of the storm mostly hit Northern Florida while its bands swept across Disney World and Orlando causing lots of rain and storms. The parks never closed, but many flights were delayed and canceled at the Orlando International Airport. The National Hurricane Center continuously monitors the tropical areas for developing storms and hurricanes as Florida continues to be in hurricane season. Now, the NHC has been following two tropical disturbances in the Atlantic for possible development — here’s what you need to know. Click Here to Subscribe Over the past couple of days, the National Hurricane Center has marked two areas of tropical disturbances in the Atlantic that have the potential to develop into tropical storms or hurricanes. ©NHC According to the NHC, the area of low pressure in the Western Atlantic has a low chance of formation within the next 48 hours and 7 days, roughly a 10% chance of formation. The disturbance in the Central Tropical Atlantic is also an area of low pressure with a 0% chance of formation in the next 48 hours and a low 20% chance of formation through the next 7 days. ©Fox35 These are low chances, making it less likely for tropical storms to develop, but it is something to be aware of and monitor if you live in the Florida area or plan to be at Disney World in the coming week. It may get rainy and wet while you’re in the parks. Tropical Storm Debby at Animal Kingdom Rain happens all the time in Florida and hurricane season continues into November for the area. If you’re planning a trip to Disney World this fall, we suggest packing rain gear regardless of these possible developments. Disney World’s Lightning Lane system has changed. Genie+ is no more and now we’re left with Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass, which you can purchase all at the same time and days ahead of your trip. Goodbye Genie+ Like Genie+, though, Multi Pass is still a paid-for service, and it still uses surge pricing where the pricing fluctuates daily. So on days Disney anticipates the parks will be busier, they raise the price of Multi Pass and Single Passes, and on slow days they drop. Based on the pricing for Genie+ in 2023, and looking at current Lightning Lane trends, we have some pretty good ideas about when we’ll see the 2024 prices for Multi Pass and Single Passes SKYROCKET. One significant difference between Genie+ and Lightning Lane Multi Pass is that Genie+ used to have a Multiple Parks option that was the same price as the highest-priced park, which was always Magic Kingdom. You could only choose Lightning Lanes in multiple parks if you purchased this option. Now, with Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you purchase it for the park you plan to start in and then you can still park hop and grab Lightning Lanes for any other park without paying an additional cost. Lightning Lane Multi Pass pamphlet When we took a look at the prices for Genie+ in 2023, we noticed there were a few dates when the prices went extremely high compared to the other days of the year. These were times when we saw prices from $29 for the Multiple Parks and Magic Kingdom option all the way up to $39! If we look at the Multiple Parks option, Magic Kingdom had the same price while the other parks were lower, but they all still increased to the highest they had been all year. Genie+ Based on that information and data, we expect that Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year will have very high prices for Lighting Lane Multi Pass. Last year, Genie+ was around $27 for most of November. It increased to $35 on November 20th, 21st, 23rd, and 24th. November 23rd was Thanksgiving. This year, Thanksgiving is November 28th, and it’s probably likely that we’ll see Multi Pass increase in pricing starting November 25th. Prices during Thanksgiving week 2023 ©Disney If we look at Christmas, last year, Genie+ for Magic Kingdom was $29 on December 18th which was the first day of the skyrocketing prices. From there they just continued to get higher. On December 21st, Magic Kingdom was $29, while it was $35 on December 22nd. Then from December 23rd through December 31st, Magic Kingdom was $39! On New Year’s Day 2024, it was $35. Genie+ prices hit a record high on Dec. 23, 2023, and stayed there. ©Disney That means this year, we can likely expect Multi Pass to start climbing in price around one week before Christmas and likely hit its highest price just a few days before Christmas. If you’re headed to Disney World around any of these major holidays, be prepared for higher crowds, higher wait times for rides and restaurants, and higher prices for Lightning Lane Multi Pass. Magic Kingdom at Christmas 2023 Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass are more simplified now, but there is still a lot to know! When you think of Disney World as a whole, there really aren’t THAT many attractions that are still abandoned. Tomorrowland However, it’s more than you would expect, since you’d assume that a company like Disney would want to make use of every single space they can to bring in new attractions, and therefore new guests, right? In some ways, yes, but there are still several abandoned attractions and areas around Disney World that Disney has done absolutely nothing with. And TWO of them are in Tomorrowland, which is pretty wild. Tomorrowland Terrace is just a restaurant that’s been sitting empty for years (save for Fireworks Dessert Parties), but the REAL abandoned attraction in this area has been sitting fully abandoned for the past 6 years — Stitch’s Great Escape. Before we go any further, we have to delve into a little history. Stitch’s Great Escape was ORIGINALLY an attraction called ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter, and it sure was terrifying. This attraction opened in 1995 in Tomorrowland and was originally going to be where guests encountered Xenomorphs, which are the aliens from the movie Alien, but Disney instead worked with George Lucas, who created an original storyline for the ride. Alien Encounter ©Disney In this attraction, guests become prey to a ravenous alien monster. At the beginning of the attraction, a sinister robot named S.I.R. demonstrated new teleportation technology that the guests were volunteering to test. To demonstrate the technology, the robot used a cute alien, but based on its screams, it became clear to the guests that the technology wasn’t really all that advanced. Then, guests continued into an immersive theater where they were STRAPPED DOWN to their seats and watched as something went wrong with the technology and brought a bloodthirsty alien into the room with them. Alien Encounter Promotional Art ©Disney But what was REALLY scary about this ride was that after you saw the alien transported into the room with you, all the lights went out and you were in PITCH BLACK. Disney then used your other senses to make it really feel like the alien was lurking right around you — you could hear, smell, and even FEEL the alien moving around you. And if that wasn’t scary enough, at one point a “maintenance technician” comes in to try to help restore the power, but after some gruesome sound effects, you got splashed with a warm liquid…and we think you know exactly what that was implying. ©Disney ExtraTERRORestiral Alien Encounter Needless to say, this ride was genuinely TOO terrifying for Disney World and it closed in 2003. This is where Stitch’s Great Escape comes in — Disney didn’t want to change the way the theater was laid out or the basics of the attraction, so they kept the same idea and just replaced the bloodthirsty alien with Stitch. Stitch’s Great Escape officially opened in November 2004 and it was essentially the SAME attraction — but now it was Stitch going on the same rampage around the room while guests were strapped down to their seats. ©Disney Stitch’s Great Escape Sounds better, right? Because Stitch is cute and cuddly? ABSOLUTELY NOT. The lights still went out right after you saw Stitch break out of his transportation tube and you felt, heard, and smelled (unfortunately) Stitch moving around the room. Thankfully, Stitch does not kill a maintenance worker like the original attraction had, but he did burp in your face, spit on people, and overall terrorize kids to no end. Stitch’s Great Escape Back in 2016, there were rumors that the attraction was going to get the chopping block and it moved to just being open seasonally. Otherwise, it was kept closed and wasn’t available. A similar schedule was continued in 2017 and it was only set to be open for just a few short weeks from the end of December 2017 into early January 2018. Around this same time, the queue of the ride became Stitch’s Alien Encounter, and the sign was changed to reflect that. Stitch’s Alien Encounter When the beginning of January 2018 rolled around, the attraction closed as expected…and then never reopened that year OR in 2019. Then, the COVID-19 pandemic closed down the Disney World parks, and it was then that Disney announced the official closure in 2020. Now, Stitch doesn’t even meet in this area after the pandemic closures, but you can find him wandering around Tomorrowland or over near the stage! So this area, truly, is completely abandoned. Where Stitch’s Great Escape used to be. (Construction photo from 2020) There have been numerous rumors over the years about what will replace this, but Disney has made no announcements for the space. For a short period of time, it was used as a pop-up shop for TRON merchandise when TRON Lightcycle / Run first opened. And that’s the history, friends! While Stitch’s Great Escape certainly had more fans than Alien Encounter, watch different videos on YouTube of the attraction and you’ll hear plenty of genuinely terrified screaming from guests the moment those lights go out. And it was a LONG attraction too — you were in the dark for several minutes, not just a few seconds. And from a psychological perspective, that genuinely could have been scarring for guests, especially young children who didn’t understand it wasn’t real. We’ll keep our eyes and ears peeled to see if anything may be coming to this new space, so be sure to stay tuned to DFB! It’s SPOOKY time! Yep, spooky season has officially arrived in Disneyland. Halloween is here! The Halloween decorations are OUT (and Disneyland goes HARD with the decorations in both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure). The spooky snacks have arrived! And Oogie Boogie Bash has finally kicked off for the season. We stopped by the party to check out all the special offerings, including the SNACKS. So let’s look at the exclusive eats available at the party. First we’re cruising into Cars Land to check out the Garlic-Parmesan Chicken Strips for $13.49 at Flo’s V-8 Cafe. These were just fine. It was a little on the greasy side and the garlic was VERY strong, taking away from most of the parmesan flavor. The fries were also pretty greasy from sitting underneath the chicken. Garlic Parmesan Chicken Strips We also picked up the Orange Chicken Strips for $13.49. This had a great mix of sweet and spicy flavors — it starts with sweetness from the orange glaze and then you get some heat from the aioli. The sauce was also great for dipping your fries! Ultimately, we definitely recommend this one over the garlic parmesan version! Orange Chicken Strips You can’t just go to Disneyland and NOT get a churro, and we had to try the special Oogie Boogie Bash churro, the Poison Apple Churro for $7.50. You can get this churro at the churro cart near Goofy’s Sky School or at Señor Buzz Churros. Really the only difference between this and the regular churro is the granny smith apple icing, which was mostly a sweet apple flavor. It didn’t taste artificial to us, and it had a bit of sourness at the end. Poison Apple Churro So if you’re headed to Oogie Boogie Bash, which runs through October 31st, be sure to grab some of these exclusive snacks. Stay tuned to DFB for more. Disney made TONS of exciting announcements for Disney World at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, and we’re still not over them. Hollywood Studios A new Villains Land, new Cars rides, and a new nighttime parade are all headed to Magic Kingdom. But Disney’s Hollywood Studios also got some exciting news; a new Monsters, Inc. land is coming to the park! While we don’t know everything about this new land such as what it will all include and where exactly in Hollywood Studios it’s going, we do know there will be one roller coaster that we’ve been waiting 23 years to ride. However, there is one thing fans are worried about when it comes to the new thrill ride. Disney shared that the monsters are inviting us humans to Monstropolis to enjoy some fun and help them power their city with our laughs. We can’t wait to step foot into Monstropolis, and hopefully, code 2319 is gone for good! Monsters Inc. Land Concept Art ©Disney There is one area of the city that we are particularly excited to visit, and that is the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Factory. Disney shared concept art and a scale model of the new roller coaster which Josh D’Amaro, Disney Experiences Chairman, explained, “The first time I saw Monsters, Inc., all I wanted to do was ride on one of those doors like Mike and Sulley.” Same! “You’ll go into the factory and experience the first suspended coaster ever in a Disney park. Remember in the movie how those claws grab the doors and hoist them up into the air to take them away? We’re doing that, too. And you’re going along for the ride.” ©Disney But here’s the problem: we wonder if those doors will be real, physical doors, or just a bunch of screens. We asked our readers on Instagram if they would be ok with screens on this new roller coaster, and 60% of respondents shared that they do NOT want screens on this new roller coaster. If you look closely at the concept art, though, it does kind of look like screens of doors along the sides of the ride instead of individual doors. Those doors look like they’re on a screen, not real doors. ©Disney To be fair, it would require A LOT of doors to fill the entire side of the roller coaster, and if you look at the other side of the concept art, it looks like there may be some physical doors on the ride zooming past us as we go by. These look like physical doors. ©Disney Screens may be easier in some ways and may even create a better experience. If you think about a few other rides in Disney World that use screens, the screens make the experience WAY more exciting. For example, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is an amazing roller coaster that uses screens to a big advantage. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Another ride that uses screens effectively is Toy Story Mania. The screens add to the effects and enjoyment of the ride. Compared to Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin using physical targets, Toy Story Mania is a much better experience with the screens. Toy Story Mania However, some may say that screens have detracted from Tiana’s Bayou Adventure compared to all the animatronics and physical decor on the old Splash Mountain. Screens on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Screens may make or break a ride depending on how they are used and the style of the ride. So we’ll have to just wait and see what comes to be on the new Monsters, Inc. ride in Hollywood Studios! For more Disney news, keep following DFB! The Secret Proof That Disney’s NEW Monsters Inc. This one-time parade will take place this coming Thursday, August 29th at 1:30PM. ‘Tis the season for many limited-time treats! Magic Kingdom Starting in August and running through the end of the year, we get dozens upon dozens of seasonal treats in Disney World. With Halloween, Christmas, and a host of other holidays throughout those few months, it seems like there’s always something new to try. And if you’re on the hunt for a limited-time offering in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, then we’ve got you covered! Now available at Woody’s Lunch Box in Toy Story Land is the Pumpkin Lunch Box Tart. This treat looks very similar to other Halloween Lunch Box Tarts we’ve seen in the past, but is it worth snagging? Often, the Lunch Box Tarts at this restaurant can be dry and disappointing. But we’re going to give it a go! Pumpkin Lunch Box Tart It’s a pumpkin pie-filled pastry tart with marshmallow fondant, candy corn, and Halloween sprinkles on top for $4.79. The pumpkin flavor kinda reminded us of canned pumpkin, but it had a little bit of sweetness mixed in from the fondant on top. It’s very Halloween-ish! It was surprisingly soft and the sugary flavors worked nicely with the pumpkin and the pastry. You’ll need to like sweet treats to enjoy this, but we definitely thought it was one of the better Lunch Box Tarts from this location! inside the pastry We’ll be on the lookout for more Halloween snacks coming soon in Hollywood Studios. It may be time to change your EPCOT game plan. EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival The 2024 EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival kicks off on August 29th, and longtime festival-goers are already pouring over the list of booths and entertainment this year to plan their festival experience. However, it might be wise to keep in mind that the festival is going to look a wee bit different than in years past. The heart of the Food and Wine Festival will always be the food booths spread throughout the park. At these booths, you will find food and drinks from around the World. Each booth offers unique bites and oftentimes desserts along with beer, wine, or a cocktail! Nitro Cake Pop at the 2023 Food and Wine Festival In previous years, most of these booths have been centered around the World Showcase. In fact, this has led many to skip the front of the park entirely and spend their festival day entirely in World Showcase. However, things are bit different in 2024. Swirled Showcase This year, there are several new and revamped returning locations spread out through World Celebration, World Discovery, and World Nature (AKA the three neighborhoods that make up the former Future World). These include two booths in the new Communicore Hall (Macatizers and the Festival Favorites Menu), Coastal Eats near Mission Space, The Fry Basket and Flavors From Fire near Refreshment Station, and Brew-Wings Lab at the Odyssey. EPCOT’s CommuniCore Hall In addition, Sunshine Seasons and Connections Eatery will also feature some festival-exclusive offerings. Sunshine Seasons If your usual plan for the Food and Wine Festival is to head straight to World Showcase, you’re going to miss a TON! So, we suggest switching up that game plan. We have all of the booths and menus on our sites. So you can plan ahead and figure out which booths you want to hit. Check out a FULL LIST of the booths HERE! We will also be reporting LIVE from the festival. So you will be able to follow along here and on our socials. On top of all of that, we will released our annual BEST of the FEST so you know exactly what is worth your time in money. All of this should help you plan out what booths you need to hit and will help you make sure you don’t miss something special that isn’t in World Showcase. Somehow, despite all odds, I’ve managed to make going to Disney World part of my job. Hi, Walt! I know just how fortunate I am to be a member of the self-proclaimed Theme Park Journalist club — but you can’t tell me that driving between Tampa and Orlando on I4 regularly isn’t hell on earth. Still, I do it because I love that silly little mouse so much. Okay, that, and a whole lot more. Here’s what makes driving nearly two hours to Disney World every month worth it. As an editor and writer here at DFB, I don’t spend nearly as much time in the parks as our reporters do, but since I’m lucky enough to have an Annual Pass and live near Tampa — I make it my business to go at least once a month. You know, for “work.” You’ll often catch me there two or three times per month, depending on how much patience I have to deal with both Tampa and Orlando traffic on any given day. Spoiler: it’s not a lot. But, those Disney World gates just keep pulling me back in, so I put on a playlist or the latest episode of Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend and hop in the car. Despite the sometimes arduous journey, here’s what makes it all worth it. Shakin’ Jamaican Cold Brew from Joffrey’s Let me sing you the praises of one of the BEST cold brews in the game anywhere, but especially at Disney World. Joffrey’s Shakin’ Jamaican Cold Brew is described as “a delicious island-inspired cold brew coffee with hints of caramel and vanilla, served over ice.” You can choose to add vanilla, caramel, Irish cream, or hazelnut syrup for an added charge, but I like mine straight-up. I’m typically not a flavored coffee gal, but I’ll do some pretty shady things for a Shakin’ Jamaican. Joffrey’s Shakin’ Jamaican Cold Brew It’s a cold brew made from 100% Arabica beans that are slowly blended with smooth caramel, rich vanilla, and tasty coffee liqueur flavor, and it’s not sweet unless you decide to put syrup in it. And, I know what you’re thinking. “Sam, isn’t there a Joffrey’s IN Tampa? And can’t you also buy canned Shakin’ Jamaican to have at home?” Shhh. Just let me live. Cheeseburger Pods from Satu’li Canteen If you’re seeing a pattern in that most of my reasons involve food, you would be right. I mean, I do work for Disney Food Blog so are you really surprised? Anyway, if you’re a person who likes burgers and hasn’t ventured over to Satu’li Canteen at Animal Kingdom to get the Cheeseburger Pods yet, you need to go before I beat you there and eat all the soft, pillowy bao buns they have. Cheeseburger Pods at Satu’li Canteen What is a Cheeseburger Pod, you ask? It’s a delicious little bundle of joy — a bao bun. Cheeseburger Pods are stuffed with ground beef, ketchup, mustard, pickle, and cheddar cheese. Word on the street is that it’s an old family recipe from Imagineer Joe Rohde, and I’d just like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Joe Rohde for sharing this creation with us. Imagine the taste of a McDonald’s cheeseburger combined with a fluffy bao bun. Dang it, now I want Cheeseburger Pods. Ngumu Jungle Juice Over at the Dawa Bar in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you can get your hands on Ngumu Jungle Juice. It’s essentially a boozy POG juice — and it is deliciously dangerous. POG Juice is a truly delightful drink found at several restaurants around Disney World — “POG” stands for Passion Fruit, Orange, and Guava, but the Ngumu Jungle Juice takes POG to a whole new level. Ngumu Jungle Juice This cocktail is made with Snow Leopard Vodka, Bols Peach Schnapps, and POG juice. It’s fruity and sweet, but still a bit tart from the fruit juices and makes for an excellent “walking around” drink while you’re exploring Animal Kingdom. Might I suggest grabbing one and taking a stroll around the Tree of Life? And, if you plan on going back for more — tip your bartenders well at the beginning and they may even hook you up from time to time. Living with the Land If you ask me what my favorite ride is at Disney World, my answer will likely change based on any given day. Pirates of the Caribbean and the Haunted Mansion will forever have my heart, but as I’ve gotten older I really appreciate the uniqueness and practicality of Living with the Land at EPCOT. This serene boat ride through the Land’s greenhouses is a true respite from the chaos of the parks — and something I always look forward to on EPCOT trips. Living with the Land I even considered walking down the aisle to the pan flute song from the ride at my wedding but went with a Tom Petty song instead. But, I did do the Behind the Seeds tour of Living with the Land for my 30th birthday and I highly recommend it to anyone who is a plant lover or just wants to go behind the scenes of this ride! Nostalgia Is a Heck of a Drug Being a Native Florida Woman, Disney World kinda runs in my veins. I grew up going to the parks with my family (my favorite trip was when we stayed at Wilderness Lodge and I became obsessed with Walt’s Chili for some reason???) and later went on plenty of school field trips (shoutout to Mrs. Englert and Mrs. Olson) and sang as part of the choir during the Candlelight Processional at EPCOT with my high school. So, when people say that Disney World is like a second home — it’s things like this that make it actually true. Main Street, U.S.A. Being able to visit Disney World so frequently growing up and still going to the parks so often as an adult is a privilege — and one I don’t take lightly. Let’s be real, though, nostalgia really is a heck of a drug — why else would I deal with scorching temperatures, massive crowds, long waits, and an even longer drive? The answer is simple: because I love it. And I really, really, really, really love cheeseburger pods. Cheeseburger Pods at Satu’li Canteen Of course, what makes this (relatively painless, truthfully) journey worth it for me certainly isn’t going to be what makes it worth it for you — so don’t yuck my yum! It’s often the little things, the moments that you can’t plan for or predict that become the most memorable when you’re at Disney World. No matter when you’re heading to the parks next, we’ll continue to bring you the latest tips and updates from Disney World — so stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for more! TRON Lightcycle / Run at night The Disney sci-fi franchise films began in 1982 with Jeff Bridges starring in the first installment. The next movie (Tron: Legacy) was finished in 2010, starring Bridges, Garret Hedlund, and Olivia Wilde. It’s that time again… EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival Every year, a massive change ripples through EPCOT that fundamentally alters how to approach a day at the park: The EPCOT Food and Wine Festival. The litany of special events and offerings offered by the crowds they draw – – along with the crowds they draw – – makes the park a very different place than it is normally. Whether you’re a festival veteran or have never been, it’s best to bone up on all the ways EPCOT is about to change. When the 2024 EPCOT International Food begins on August 29th, there are three major things to be aware of: International Marketplaces The core element of the Food and Wine Festival are the food booths spread throughout the park. There are booths and marketplaces from a ton of different cultures. You can find all sorts of different dishes and desserts along with fine wine, craft beer, and so much more! You can see ALL the booths coming to the 2024 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival here! Japanese Christmas Punch Eat to the Beat Concert Series Another major part of the Food and Wine Festival is the Eat to the Beat concert series. Offered as part of the standard EPCOT admission ticket, this series features world-renowned musical artists performing several times a day during the festival at the America Gardens Theatre in World Showcase. New and returning artists this year include The Fray, Sugar Ray, Yellowcard, Tiffany, Sheila E., Joey Fatone, Hanson, Boys II Men, and Smash Mouth. The full schedule of performers can be found here. Eat to the Beat Sign Crowds While the food and drink offerings are fantastic, they also tend to draw in LARGE crowds. The festival will usually be especially crowded during its first week (August 19th-September 8th in 2024) as well as holiday weekends and the festival’s closing days. In addition, some of the larger concerts (we’re looking at you Hanson) have a tendency to draw even larger crowds on the days they’re performing. Food + Wine + Disney = Heaven! Whether you’ve been to the Food and Wine Festival before or this is your first time hearing about it, keep in mind that EPCOT is going to be drastically different than usual over the next few months. If you are going the first week of the festival, be prepared for larger crowds than usual. You could find yourself waiting in long lines for booths. So just be prepared for that. Weekends tends to be pretty crowded during festivals as well. It has also been a few months since the last festival, so we think locals and out of town guests alike a really itching for EPCOT to be back in festival mode. We will be LIVE from the festival reporting on all of the booths and new food. Be sure to stay tuned for our annual best of the fest so you know exactly what you need to try when you visit the festival! IT'S WINE & DINE TIME! Food & Wine Festival can be a bummer.
