  1. Are you ready for a runDisney race? ©Disney RunDisney is a series of races held by Disney every year that go through EPCOT, Magic Kingdom, Disneyland, and more! If you can’t get to the theme parks, Disney has finally released the themes for the 2025 Virtual Series and we are in love. Are you ready to race because runDisney is back in 2025! This hugely popular Disney experience sees fans running a 5K, 10K, a half marathon, or marathon through Disney property with a shiny medal waiting at the end. There are runDisney weekends all throughout the year with rotating themes and high demand every time. ©runDisney If you have always wanted to participate in these events but can’t make it to the theme parks or don’t want the pressure of running with groups of people, it seems like the virtual races are for you! This year runDisney is celebrating 10 years of offering virtual races with 4 themes inspired by the parks. First up is the Pirates of the Caribbean 5K which will have you running or walking 3.1 miles. ©Disney If you want to make running a bit more funny, the next theme is inspired by the Jungle Cruise! We aren’t really runners so this feels like the perfect way to laugh through the pain of running. ©Disney Finally, the third 5K option is inspired by Big Thunder Mountain! You could have the wildest run in the wilderness. (Although we can’t say we encourage running through the wilderness!) ©Disney For their big grand finale, Disney shared that everyone who signs up and completes all three 5Ks will receive a fourth medal inspired by Happily Ever After, the fan-favorite fireworks show in Magic Kingdom! That’s a total of 9.3 miles for anyone counting. ©Disney Event registration opens on April 1st, 2025 and the races can be completed from June 1st through August 31, 2025. We think these themes are too cute and they might even make us consider running. We won’t actually run, but we’ll consider it! If you’re already looking into next year, registration for the 2026 runDisney races opened earlier this month on March 11th. ©Disney For anyone in the race at the parks or at home! Happy running and good luck. As always, keep following DFB for all of your Disney news and updates. 2. Disney World changes all the time, and even for people like us who are in the parks every single day, we still get confused sometimes about what the best way is to make sure your Disney World trip works for you. Magic Kingdom One of our favorite ways to make Disney work for us is to save money anywhere we can. Something you’ll often find costs the most when you’re in Disney World that it sometimes feel you can’t really get around is dining. However, there IS a way to successfully bring down the cost of dining on your vacation, and it may not be in the way you expect. We can’t tell you how many times we’ve ordered a signature drink, limited time beverage, or even a quick service entree with a completely jacked up price. And that price is jacked up JUST because it has a glow cube, it’s in a fun little cup, or it has a side item that we really weren’t that interested in eating anyway. While those extra $3-$4 don’t seem like a ton, when it happens more than once, or you’re ordering more than one of something with it, then it starts to get really pricey. Lotus Flower Glowing Cube from 2023 However, it’s important to know that in some cases, you may be able to ask for the beverage WITHOUT the additional glow cube, which will knock down the drink price! The same thing applies to those light-up sippers or asking for a Lapu Lapu from Tambu Lounge at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort MINUS the carved-out pineapple cup. As cool as it is, it really adds to that price tag, and sometimes it’s more important to save a few bucks (and saving those $5 could get you a whole other snack somewhere else on property)! Lapu Lapu When it comes to paying less for an entree, try ordering it without the side. This might not be applicable for EVERY quick service entree, but oftentimes it CAN be done and will help you save a couple bucks on dining in the process. However, keep in mind that most of the time you CANNOT mobile order an entree and ask for it without the side. You’ll have to stand in line and ask a Cast Member in person whether this is something that can be done or not, which means you might be sacrificing spending more time in line for saving a few dollars. Pecos Bill We’ve tried each and every one of these ourselves and can confirm that while they won’t work every time, it’s certainly worth it to ask if you’re traveling on a budget. Now, it’s also important to be polite when you ask and respect if you’re told it won’t be possible — it’s never okay to be rude to Cast Members! 3. Disney has filed two new permits for Zootopia: Better Zoogether in Animal Kingdom. ©Disney The permits request the installation of new set designs and electrical work for the show that is expected to open in Winter 2025 in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The ride is replacing the recently closed It’s Tough To Be A Bug attraction. We can’t wait to see the rest of this show come to life later this year. 4. Disney held its Annual Shareholder Meeting on March 20th, 2025, and we heard updates on several different areas of the company and even heard from the shareholders themselves. Walt Disney Company Headquarters in Burbank During the voting portion of the meeting, a few different shareholder proposals were discussed, including climate risks to retirement plan beneficiaries — and the proposal to end the company’s participation in the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index. Several different proposals were voted on at the March 20th meeting, a few of which were put forth by the company — including electing new directors of the board and confirming executive compensation packages. But, there were additional proposals from a few shareholders at the meeting as well — that Disney’s board recommended other shareholders vote against. ©Disney | Walt Disney Company Headquarters The first proposal came from James McRitchie ROTH IRA, represented by As You Saw, who wanted Disney to address the climate risks to its retirement plan beneficiaries. According to McRitchie, the company has “not acted to meaningfully address the emissions generated by its retirement plan investments. The plan’s most popular option by assets invested is the BlackRock LifePath series. The funds in this series account for 31% of plan assets. These funds invest heavily in high-carbon companies and companies contributing to deforestation.” Walt Disney Company Headquarters ©LA Times The proposal sought to have Disney publish a report disclosing if and how the company was protecting retirement plan beneficiaries from high-carbon companies. In response, Disney stated that it did not believe “a report on this matter would be a valuable use of Company time and resources, nor enhance long-term shareholder value,” and recommended shareholders vote against it — which they did during the meeting. Walt Disney Studios The National Center for Public Policy Research (which describes itself as a non-partisan independent conservative think tank) also made a proposal at the meeting, requesting Disney reconsider its participation in the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI). The proposal said that companies like the Human Rights Campaign “seek to sow gender confusion in children, encourage irreversible surgical procedures on confused teens, effectively eliminate girls’ and women’s sports and bathrooms, and roll back longstanding religious liberties.” In addition, the proposal said Disney’s perfect score in the CEI was due to a “partisan, divisive, and increasingly racial” agenda and urged the company to remain “neutral” when it came to political matters. In its proxy statement, Disney said the proposal was unnecessary and that it didn’t “believe this proposal would provide additional value to shareholders.” Pride wall photo op by Tiffins and the DVC kiosk In a statement to USA Today, Stefan Padfield, executive director of the National Center for Public Policy Research’s Free Enterprise Project, said: “It is not surprising that our proposal received low support, given the concerns we have about bias and conflicts of interest infecting the votes and recommendations of the Big 5 asset managers and proxy advisors, as well as the company’s management.” This proposal did not pass, receiving only 1% of votes to approve. Cinderella Castle The final shareholder proposal dealt with the selection of ad buyers and sellers, requesting Disney conduct an evaluation on “how it oversees risks related to discrimination against ad buyers and sellers based on their political or religious status or views.” Disney claimed that “an additional Board-level evaluation and report would not be in the best interests of shareholders,” and this proposal also did not pass. Ultimately, three shareholder proposals were discussed, and all three failed to pass. There are still some shareholder votes that need to be counted, but for now, this is how things have shaken out. 9. The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort is going through a transformation of its own — and part of it has officially been completed! Swan and Dolphin Hotel The Marriott-owned hotels previously announced a $275 million transformation featuring a new 120,000-square-foot event space expansion, along with upgrades to its existing space, and guest room renovations. While many of these renovations are still in the works, the guest room renovations are now complete and we’re sharing a peek! It’s official! The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin has completed the renovation of all 756 guest rooms in the Swan hotel with a sleek, modern design that will allow “guests to leave the everyday behind and enter a world of wonder.” These hotels are located in the EPCOT resort area, between the Yacht Club and the BoardWalk, and are owned by Marriott — but they get many of the same perks that Disney World’s Deluxe Resorts get. ©Marriott The new rooms exude a fresh, warm, and inviting ambiance featuring white-oak luxury tile flooring complemented by a rich hand-tufted rug, while crisp white walls accented by a tranquil blue feature wall instill a sense of calm. ©Marriott The beds feature a wooden headboard with white upholstery, with plenty of room for storage underneath, too. The entire renovation project at the Swan and Dolphin will take place over the next several years, and will include “modernized upgrades to existing meeting spaces and Swan guest rooms.” There will also be some technology enhancements throughout the property. ©Marriott The expansion will bring the Swan and Dolphin’s total meeting space to 469,000 square feet between its three buildings — the Swan, Dolphin, and Swan Reserve. Add in the already 2,619 hotel rooms, and that will make this property one of the biggest convention spaces on the East Coast. ©Marriott “We look forward to delivering such a major transformation for our customers. These enhancements will be a great addition to our iconic and award-winning operation,” said Area General Manager Sean Verney. “It positions our property to remain at the forefront of meeting and convention venues globally.” ©Marriott As far as the meeting space expansion goes, it will include a new two-story annex. It will have 41,000 square feet of multi-purpose space and 24,000 square feet of additional pre-function space, all connected to the building’s original convention space. The second floor will have a new ballroom, as well as a foyer. Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin at night We can’t wait to see what these renovations look like when they’re all finally complete! 12. Disney just dropped some BIG updates, but some major things were missing! Magic Kingdom On March 20th, 2025, Disney held its Shareholder Meeting and gave some updates on a few different areas of the company. But what about the things they didn’t talk about? What important news was MISSING from Disney’s latest drop and what could it tell us about the future of the parks? Let’s find out! Despite announcing a sequel to the hit film “Coco” and sharing a first look at the “Lion King” ride coming to Disneyland Paris, a few things were missing from the latest shareholder announcements! ©Disney Since Disney CEO Bob Iger returned to the company in 2022, he knew he had some incredibly important tasks to check off his To-Do List. But, there’s one task that might prove to be the most integral to the future of Disney — choosing a successor to replace him once his contract expires. Though his contract has already been extended once since his return, it’s set to expire in 2026. We were anticipating some sort of rumblings about Disney’s search for a CEO successor, but unfortunately, there wasn’t a peep this time around. ©Disney And, in case you missed it, there are quite a few expansions in the works for Disney parks both domestically and internationally. Disney is planning a HUGE expansion for Magic Kingdom, the biggest it’s ever done for that particular park. For the expansion, Imagineers are looking to tell stories “beyond Big Thunder Mountain” in addition to the Cars area retheme. Existing and Potential New Parade Path Over in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Dinoland, U.S.A. will be going away to be replaced by something else. At first, Disney mentioned that the new land could be themed around Moana or Zootopia (maybe something similar to the new Zootopia land at Shanghai Disney Resort). However, more recently, we learned that Disney is leaning more towards theming the area to Encanto and Indiana Jones. @Disney At Disneyland, an Avatar Experience is coming along with a new “Coco” ride, and the Avengers Campus is getting new attractions as well. Even the international parks are getting some love! And, while these expansions were mentioned during the shareholder meeting — we didn’t get any news or updates. ©Disney Finally, we were hoping we’d maybe get a trailer for “Zootopia 2” coming to theaters later this year, but we didn’t get that either. Instead, we got an updated look at the live-action “Lilo & Stitch” hitting theaters soon. ©Disney That’s a peek at some of the things Disney failed to discuss during their latest Shareholder Meeting, which leaves us with even more questions about what the future could look like. What projects might be canceled or changed down the line? Only time will tell, but we’ll be sure to watch for any news and keep you updated! 13. Disney World is one of those places where you think you’ve planned for everything…until you realize you hadn’t. Disney World If you’re like us, you’ve definitely had those moments where you’re in the parks, scrambling to keep your kids entertained while waiting in line or wishing you had a better way to capture the magic from their perspective. Well, with that in mind, let me introduce you to the $36 splurge that made our trip 10X better: the Yehtta Instant Digital Camera. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Check Out the Yehtta Instant Digital Camera Yehtta Instant Digital Camera Let me tell you why this camera is an absolute game changer (and yes, this was an impulse Amazon buy, but trust me, this little camera is worth every penny). The Yehtta Instant Digital Camera is essentially a digital camera with a built-in thermal printer. Yehtta Instant Digital Camera Your kids can snap photos, print them instantly (without needing ink), and even save digital versions to the included SD card. Yehtta Instant Digital Camera Let me hit you with a couple of reasons why it was a must-have on our trip: It’s rechargeable, so you don’t have to worry about extra batteries. It comes with an SD card and paper rolls. Out of the box, it’s ready to go. It’s super kid-friendly. No sharp edges, no complicated settings – just snap, print, and go. It’s lightweight and durable. It won’t weigh down your park bag, and it’s tough enough to survive a few drops. It captures their perspective. Your kids get to document their own Disney experience in a way that’s fun for them. Yehtta Instant Digital Camera The one drawback is that the print quality isn’t perfect. It’s more like an old-school receipt printer than a high-resolution photo. Yehtta Instant Digital Camera print And if your kid is trying to capture fast-moving action (say, someone waving from a coaster), the timing might be a little off. Yehtta Instant Digital Camera print But honestly? My kids didn’t care. They were thrilled just to have their own camera and to see their pictures print instantly. Yehtta Instant Digital Camera Now, did it make our trip easier? Absolutely. It gave my kids something fun to do while waiting in line, distracted them from the occasional meltdown, and kept them engaged throughout the day. Plus, since the digital photos are saved on the SD card, we can keep their best shots in full color even if they didn’t print them in the moment. Yehtta Instant Digital Camera So, should you buy it? If you’ve got kids who love taking photos and you want a simple, mess-free way to let them capture their own Disney memories, this is 100% worth the $36. It made our park days smoother, more fun, and even a little more magical. Get it here! In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest deals on Disney products, so stay tuned for more. 14. Disney held its Annual Shareholder Meeting on March 20th, 2025, and gave updates on several different areas of the company — but it wasn’t until the very end that things got interesting. ©Disney | Walt Disney Company Headquarters CEO Bob Iger participated in a shareholder question and answer session at the end of the meeting and was asked about the company’s plans to address domestic theme park attendance along with price increases. But don’t worry, no price increases have been announced… yet. During the Walt Disney Company Annual Shareholders Meeting on March 20th, 2025, CEO Bob Iger answered a few questions from shareholders — one of whom asked about the company’s plans to address attendance and price increases in the theme parks. ©Disney In response, Iger said that he was just at Disney World on a weekday in the middle of March recently and it was rather busy across the property. He continued and said that consumer demand for the parks and resorts is still extremely high, and so is the value Disney offers — noting that it’s “tremendous” especially when compared to other entertainment offerings like concerts and sporting events. Walt Disney Studios In addition, Iger said that the company’s current expansion efforts focusing on new rides and experiences “provide more capacity and more value to our guests.” There is more being designed and built today around the Disney parks — both domestically and internationally — than at any other point since the company has been in the theme park business. It’s certainly an exciting time to be a Disney fan! ©Disney As far as price increases are concerned, Iger said that they appreciate that the parks create “lifelong memories for families,” and that in recent years — especially since Iger has returned as the leader of the Mouse House — they have provided “several options for families looking to spend less.” This includes the lowest-priced ticket to Disneyland, which has not increased in price since before the COVID-19 pandemic. Disney has also tripled the number of days in which this ticket price is available. 15. Disney had their Annual Meeting of Shareholders, and we got a model for a new ride coming to the Disney Parks! The Lion King topiary at EPCOT The very first Lion King attraction is coming to an international park soon and we’re so excited to get more details on it. Disney just dropped a sneak peek at the Lion King attraction coming to Disneyland Paris! ©Disney This attraction is in a new themed area of Disney Adventure World, previously known as Walt Disney Studios Park, where there will be “dining, shopping, and a chance to meet some favorite characters.” Disney says, “The new attraction will bring you alongside Simba’s journey from cub to king — it’s going to feel like you stepped right into the movie.” ©Disney The ride reminds us of Splash Mountain/Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and it looks like it will be a log flume ride. We’re expecting to get wet! It’s going to be great during the summer. This is the model they plan the attraction on, so it’s crazy to see how big it is! These help Imagineers plan out decorations, tracks, and the amount of physical space elements take up. ©Disney It looks just like Pride Rock! On top of the mountain, we can see either Mufasa or Simba. The concept art shows Rafiki, Timon, and Pumbaa, but we haven’t seen them on the models quite yet. These animatronics are going to be so neat to see, and we’re thrilled to see how they’re going to do the meet and greets. ©Disney We’re so excited about this attraction opening and about seeing the very first Lion King attraction. It’s set to open sometime in 2026, but we’re already looking forward to it! Disney has been saying that it will feel like stepping into the movie, and since this is such a classic movie, we know it’s going to be fun. 17. Remember me…well, if you’ve been singing that song non-stop (and probably crying like we’ve been), you’ve problably been wondering what the future of Coco is for Disney. Mariachi Cobre with Miguel Now, we’ve already been promised a new Coco ride for Disney California Adventure, but with the movie having been such a hit, all the news we’ve had about a potential sequel to the movie are rumors. Well, Disney has finally confirmed that a Coco sequel IS FINALLY HAPPENING. However, here’s the bad news — it’s not set to release until 2029 (!!!). Yes, Disney held its Shareholder Meeting today and just decided to casually mention that Coco 2 is in the works at Pixar. Then the company took to social media to announced that the second Coco movie wouldn’t release until 2029. OUCH. It’s a good news/bad news kind of situation, but the thing to remember here is that it that a sequel IS happening and you’re not Poco Loco. UPDATE: Disney has since removed the year “2029” from all posts and press releases about Coco 2. We’ll be on the lookout for more updates. The Coco sequel will reunite the team who worked on the original movie, including director Lee Unkrich and co-director Adrian Molina. Mark Nielsen will produce. ©Disney Based on this news, we’re guessing we’ll probably see the Coco ride in Disney California Adventure well before the new movie comes out, but it is what it is. It’s officially happening, though, and in 2029, we’ll be reunited with Miguel, Dante, and the rest of the Rivera family. If you still need to get your Coco fix, though, don’t forget that there’s a Coco dining experience onboard the Disney Treasure, so now might be a good time to book a Disney Cruise. Stay tuned to DFB for more. The Complicated Reason Why ‘Coco’ Hasn’t Taken Over the Mexico Pavilion in EPCOT Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! 18. If you’re struggling to figure out which Disney World hotel you’re going to stay at for your vacation, may I humbly suggest the Swan and Dolphin? Swan and Dolphin Hotel Located in the heart of Disney World, these hotels might not be Disney-owned, but they come with some of the same deluxe benefits at a more moderate price point. I’ve stayed here multiple times, and every single trip, I find myself booking another stay before I’ve even checked out. From unbeatable location perks to incredible dining, here’s why the Swan and Dolphin keep pulling me back in. The Price Is Right If you’ve looked at Disney hotel prices lately, you know they can get quite high. The Swan and Dolphin sit in that sweet spot where you get deluxe-style perks without the deluxe price tag. Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin These hotels often run cheaper than Disney’s deluxe resorts but still offer perks like Early Entry and Extended Evening Hours which are huge bonuses if you want to maximize park time. Plus, when you compare these prices to Disney’s moderate resorts, you’re sometimes paying the same amount for WAY more benefits. Walk to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios This is probably the #1 reason I keep coming back. The Swan and Dolphin are within walking distance of EPCOT (and a quick Skyliner trip to Hollywood Studios), meaning you can skip the bus and get to the parks faster. EPCOT International Gateway Entrance I love being able to take a quick stroll over to the International Gateway entrance of EPCOT or hop on a Skyliner to Hollywood Studios. If you’ve ever been stuck waiting for Disney transportation at the end of a long park day, you know how valuable this is. A More Grown-Up Vibe I love Disney, but sometimes I want a break from the all-day, in-your-face theming. The Swan and Dolphin strike a perfect balance. It’s a beautiful resort! You still feel like you’re in Disney World, but the atmosphere is a little more relaxed compared to some of the more heavily themed resorts. If you’re traveling with adults or just want a quieter retreat after a chaotic park day, this is a great place to stay. The Restaurants Are Top-Tier For a hotel that’s technically on Disney property, the Swan and Dolphin have some incredibly good food. There’s something for everyone here, from the sushi at Kimonos to the Italian food at Il Mulino. bluezoo restaurant bluezoo is another standout if you’re looking for a high-end dining experience. And if you want a quick breakfast or coffee before heading to the parks, there are solid grab-and-go options as well. Close to Two Other Great Disney Resorts One underrated perk is that you’re right next to Disney’s BoardWalk and Yacht & Beach Club Resorts, which means even more dining and entertainment options. Beaches & Cream A short walk puts you at Beaches & Cream (hello, Kitchen Sink Sundae) or the BoardWalk’s lively nightlife. Even if you’re not staying at one of these hotels, being this close makes it easy to enjoy what they have to offer. Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin at night The Swan and Dolphin are my go-to for a reason. You get a deluxe-like experience without the insane price tag, amazing dining options, and one of the best locations in all of Disney World. While it may not have the same over-the-top theming as some Disney-owned hotels, the perks far outweigh that minor trade-off. If you haven’t given these hotels a shot yet, they might just become your new favorite Disney World stay. In the meantime, stay tuned to DFB for all the latest from Disney. 21. Okay, hear us out. Sometimes you want cake, but you don’t want a WHOLE slice of cake (like those incredible and ginormous slices from The Cake Bake Shop that could feed us for DAYS). Amorette’s Patisserie So there are a few options. You could just get the cake slice anyway and eat just what you want of it. Or you could grab a cake pop (which is easily found at Starbucks locations throughout Disney World). However, we may have a new favorite way to appreciate cake — the Cake Bar. Now we’ve already seen a few Cake Bar options at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs, and we’ve been fans. Well, a new Thumper Cake Bar now available as part of Disney World’s Easter treats menu is now available! The Thumper Cake Bar is made with Mixed Berry Mousse combined with Vanilla Chiffon Cake for $8. It’s also got a cute little Thumper image on it. Now most cake pops and bars usually are frosting mixed with cake so you get a gooey filling. But this one is a fruity mousse mixed with cake and it’s 100% better. It’s got a light, fluffy texture, and it’s very moist, which should be the point. Thumper Cake Bar Now, it’s obvious that this cake bar would absolutely appeal to kids (and those of us who are kids at heart). But it IS a lot of sweet, so you might want to share it with a kid. We think it’s also a good value because of its size — $8 isn’t bad for this AT ALL. TASTY! Overall, this is SO much better than your standard cake pop, so we’re hoping Disney keeps hopping (see what we did there?) on the Cake Bar trend. Dessert on a stick? Seriously, what’s not to love? 22. Sometimes it feels good to be “bad”… EPCOT Well, not really bad. We obviously don’t condone breaking any Disney World rules, EVER. Let’s be 100% clear there. However, sometimes at Disney World, there are things that *feel* like they should be against the rules — to the point of being fun to “get away with” — but are actually perfectly fine to do. One of our favorites involves gift shops. The concept of theme park rides letting out directly into a gift shop — sometimes colloquially referred to as a “ride dump” — has become so associated with Disney over the years (and often been parodied in pop culture; see an incalculable amount of Simpsons parodies) that many believe it’s been part of the parks since the beginning. However, that’s not the case. The first Disney ride that led directly into a gift shop was the Tomorrowland classic Adventure Thru Inner Space, which began flowing directly into The Character Shop after a 1970s refurbishment. The first dedicated exit gift shops were built for Disneyland’s Star Tours (which ironically replaced Adventure Thru Inner Space) and Space Mountain in the 1980s. Since then, they’ve become relatively ubiquitous. Adventure Thru Inner Space ©D23 So, what’s the trick that feels “illegal”? Heading into the shop from its exit without riding the ride at all! Let’s take EPCOT for example. A vast majority of the park’s attractions and pavilions — Mission Space, Test Track (when it reopens), Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Frozen Ever After, and Journey Into Your Imagination to name a few — have gift shops at or near their exists. Southwest Airlines recently announced a ton of changes to its operations, including getting rid of its controversial open boarding process in exchange for assigned seating, offering premium seating options, and changing its rewards program. Let’s go somewhere! Following Southwest’s announcement that it would be getting rid of its “bags fly free” policy, the feedback has been… unpleasant, to say the least. And now, Frontier Airlines is throwing shade at Southwest by offering free bags on select flights. Frontier Airlines has announced that it’ll fly your bags for free on select flights — to be your “rebound” if you’ve been burned by the end of Southwest’s policy. But, this doesn’t apply to all flights — so here’s what you need to know. ©Frontier Airlines From now through August 18th, when you book a nonstop flight with an Economy Bundle, you’ll get one free carry-on bag, free seat selection, and free flight changes. If you want to earn a free checked bag, your travel dates must be between May 28th and August 18th, and you can use the promo code FREEBAG. Frontier Airlines You’re going to want to hurry, though, as this offer is only available on bookings completed by Monday, March 24th. In a press release, Frontier CEO Barry Biffle said, “Some airlines are walking away from what travelers love, but we’re running towards it. Think of this as the ultimate ‘divorce your old airline’ deal. If travelers show us the love, we’ll make these perks permanent.” Frontier Plane at the Orlando Airport He’s likely referring to Southwest, who recently announced it was abandoning what made it stand out from other airlines and saying goodbye to its decades-long policy of free checked bags. This change came shortly after Southwest announced that it would get rid of its open seating policy and switch to assigned seats. This means that beginning May 28th, 2025, Southwest will start charging flyers for their first and second bag (they always have charged for third and fourth bags). Frontier Airlines When the rule changes, only Rapid Rewards A-List Preferred Members and customers traveling on Business Select fares will receive TWO free checked bags.
