It is almost Halloween, which means Disney World is about to transform into a winter wonderland as it prepares for the holiday season. Christmas is almost here! There is so much to experience during the holiday season at Disney World. On select nights, Magic Kingdom hosts Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Jollywood Nights is returning once again this year on select nights in Hollywood Studios. Plus, you can experience the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. There is so much to see and do, and if you are planning to visit for the holidays, we have tips on when you should start booking your holiday trip to Orlando! Previously, we told our readers to wait until October to book holiday travel, and now the time has finally come to start thinking about booking your airfare to Orlando! According to Google’s travel trends, Orlando is the number one destination for Thanksgiving, and it falls second behind Tokyo for Christmas. It is no secret that many people want to travel to Orlando for the holiday season as visitors want to experience all the holiday decor across the Central Florida theme parks, and many schools are out on winter break. Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade 2023 There is so much to consider when booking a flight, and cost is a huge factor. By purchasing your plane ticket at the right time, you can save money on your trip! That means you can budget more for festive food and souvenirs! Christmas in Magic Kingdom According to Google’s travel trends, for domestic travel during Thanksgiving, prices tend to be at their lowest 45 days prior to departure, with a range of 26 to 59 days out. If you want to travel to Disney World for Thanksgiving, it is best to start looking at flights NOW. You can have a Thanksgiving feast year-round at Liberty Tree Tavern For Christmas, it is better to start looking ahead. Historically, flights are at their lowest 58 days before departure, and the low price range is about 36 to 72 days out. It is best to find a cheap Christmas flight in the latter part of October. Christmas in Hollywood Studios It is a bit different for international flights. You should plan on booking your flight as early as possible, as the low price range is 50 days or more before departure. In most cases, prices are at their lowest 101 days before departure, so you won’t see a significant price decrease by waiting to book your travel closer to your departure date. Christmas in Magic Kingdom There is so much to see and do during the holiday season at Disney World, and we are impatiently waiting to start seeing Christmas decor go up all across the resort, including the famous gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian. It can be an extreme challenge to “wing it” when it comes to a Disney World vacation. Spaceship Earth With things like Lightning Lanes and virtual queues, scheduled ride refurbishments, dining reservations, and Disney Park Passes, it’s hard to just “go with the flow” during a Disney World vacation or even plan one super last minute. There’s just so much information to know before you travel! And if you’re visiting EPCOT soon, there’s an update you need to know about. EPCOT will be opening one hour later on Sunday, November 3rd. The park typically opens at 9AM, but on that day, it won’t open until 10AM for regular guests. EPCOT is still set to close at its usual time of 9PM that day. ‘Walt the Dreamer’ Statue in World Celebration If you’re staying at a Disney World hotel, Early Theme Park Entry on November 3rd will start at 9:30AM. You must have a confirmed resort reservation to take advantage of this perk and get the extra park time in the morning. Early Entry Sign So why is the park opening late? Disney hasn’t shared any details, but it could be related to the runDisney Wine & Dine Half Marathon that takes place that morning. The runDisney races often have routes through the theme parks, and while they start early in the morning, the longer races can take a while to get through. ©runDisney If you’re heading to the park that weekend, just know that crowds may be heavier because of the runDisney festivities. This race weekend in particular makes EPCOT a popular park to visit, and crowds can get extra heavy during lunch and dinnertime as people hit the International Food & Wine Festival booths. A trend has been taking Disney World by storm and it seems to only be getting more popular. Pirna Prix Mocktail at EPCOT in Disney World Mocktails and non-alcoholic drinks are becoming more prevalent, especially as data shifts and shows younger generations aren’t drinking as much alcohol as previous generations. Plenty of celebrities are living sober lives these days, too, and it looks like a Marvel star is launching a new brand for folks who do the same! Calling all fans of Tom Holland and people who don’t drink alcohol! The Marvel icon and friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is launching a new non-alcoholic beer called BERO. ©Bero The actor shared a post on Instagram along with the caption, “Something’s brewing…Launching 10.16.24…Berobrewing.com LINK IN BIO.” The link goes to the BERO Brewing website, which still looks like it’s password-protected for now. We expect it will likely be updated and available to order on October 16th, the official launch date noted in Holland’s post. ©Bero Tom Holland has spoken openly about his sobriety journey, which began after the actor decided to participate in “Dry January” in 2022, he shared on an episode of the “On Purpose with Jay Shetty” podcast. Disney’s Animal Kingdom is home to some pretty fantastic snacks and meals, and you don’t have to look very far to find them. Animal Kingdom A lot of our favorite restaurants and snacks are located in Animal Kingdom, which means that sometimes it’s hard for us to decide where we want to eat! However, a new sandwich dropped at Restaurantosaurus recently so we knew we had to try it out, and we were NOT disappointed! Restaurantosaurus will be going away with the DinoLand U.S.A. retheme into the Tropical Americas soon, so we’re soaking in the menu items while we can. For Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month, the restaurant added a burger…but it’s only scheduled to be around through October 15th! Restaurantosaurus We’re talking about the Cuban Burger for $15.29! And let us tell you, it was DIVINE. This is a Seared Angus Burger with all the traditional flavors of a Cuban Sandwich including Mojo Pork, Swiss Cheese, Pickles, and Creamy Mustard Sauce topped with Potato Strings. Cuban Sandwich meal We love how the potato strings are so crunchy and contrast beautifully with the melted Swiss cheese, and we adored how the pork was just lightly seasoned. The meat is certainly pork, but it almost reminded us of pulled pork or a pot roast, but we loved it! It was incredible! Y’ALL. This mustard sauce! We loved it and how it went with all the flavors, which overall blended beautifully. It was all portioned very well and was just a delight to eat. If you like Cuban sandwiches, this is a must-try for sure! A look inside It also comes with a fried pickle on the side, which we also really enjoyed! While the breading around it took some of the snap of the bite away, it does still have a crunch to it. Fried Pickle! The meal also comes with fries, which are regular Disney World fries. They’re nothing special — they’re not bad, but they won’t blow your socks off. Fries We’re so excited about this new offering, and we hope you all love it as much as we did! Halloween is just around the corner, and that means Disney World is about to start getting into full Christmas mode! Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade 2023 Disney World usually begins decorating the resort before the end of October, so we’re expecting to start seeing signs that the winter holidays are near sometime soon. Little things have already started popping up, such as Christmas merchandise in the stores! But now, we’ve got more evidence that Disney has Christmas on the brain. According to Scott Gustin on X, the Jungle Cruise will be revamped into the annual Jingle Cruise beginning November 2nd! The Jingle Cruise is an annual ride overlay that comes to Magic Kingdom each year for the holidays. The boats get renamed with fun holiday names, some of the animal don Christmas outfits, and the Skippers start telling punny holiday jokes instead of their usual ones. It’s a jolly and merry ride for sure! Jingle Cruise Currently, the Jungle Cruise has been undergoing a refurbishment since August 26th, but it will reopen on October 16th. Then in less than a month, we’ll see the Christmas theming come aboard the cruise! The Jingle Cruise This is a big sign that Christmas is on its way to Disney World! A new attraction is coming to Disney World! ©Disney After Voyage of the Little Mermaid failed to reopen at Hollywood Studios after the pandemic-related closures, we were left wondering (for a WHILE) about what the fate of this show might be. Eventually, Disney shared that a new, reimagined show inspired by The Little Mermaid would take its place in the fall of this year. But, it doesn’t look like that will be the case any longer. “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” is a reimagining of the stage show “Voyage of the Little Mermaid,” which hasn’t opened since the parks closed in 2020. The theater had been left sitting empty for years, but in late 2023, Disney finally shared that this new show would be opening in the fall of 2024. Now, it looks like that opening date has been pushed back. The Little Mermaid: A Musical Adventure We had previously seen a casting call for this show on the Disney Jobs website, and even recently explored whether or not we thought this timeline was feasible at this point based on what we had observed in the parks. It looks like our hunch was right, as the timeline has been pushed from fall 2024 to summer 2025. The Little Mermaid: A Musical Adventure Disney hasn’t shared why this change has been made and they likely won’t, but it isn’t the only update in store for Hollywood Studios. A massive overhaul is coming to the park when the new Monsters Inc. coaster and land arrive — we just don’t quite know where yet. Whether the changes to “The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure” are related to this upcoming retheme remains to be seen, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated on any additional changes. A new land themed to Pixar Animation Studios’ “Monsters, Inc.” is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Taking place after the events of the film, Monstropolis need humans’ laughter to power the city. Guests can even ride on a door like Mike and Sully in the iconic scene from the film with Disney’s first-ever suspended coaster. BIG changes are coming to Magic Kingdom! Magic Kingdom Disney announced earlier this year that a new Villains Land and new Cars attractions will be coming to the park. Villains Land is expected to be going in the area beyond Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, while the new Cars attractions will be replacing Tom Sawyer Island and Liberty Square Riverboat. But now, a new announcement has just been made for a LONG closure coming soon to Magic Kingdom. Disney announced on the Disney World website that Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will be closing for an extended closure. The site shares that the ride will close on January 6th, 2025, and won’t open again until 2026! ©Disney The message also notes that it will be reopening “with a little bit of new magic.” We’re not sure what that might entail as of now, but we’ll be watching for more information from Disney! Pueblo Esperanza is the NEW Tropical Americas-themed land coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. ©Disney This new land will feature details from the Tropical Americas as well as Encanto and Indiana Jones rides. We’ll see the beautiful and bountiful life from these areas of the world while enjoying aspects of some fun Disney movies! The new land will be replacing what is currently DinoLand, U.S.A., at Animal Kingdom, and construction will be beginning soon. In fact, Disney just made a HUGE announcement about the first phase of the creation of this new land. Disney had previously announced that it would begin work on Pueblo Esperanza sometime in the fall of 2024. However, they mentioned that you still had time to ride the popular ride Dinosaur before it, and the other DinoLand rides would go away forever. “Get that dino!” Well, now we know exactly when the first phase of DinoLand attractions will be closing to make room for the new land. Disney announced that the last day for TriceraTop Spin, Fossil Fun Games, and Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures at Animal Kingdom is January 12th, 2025. Construction walls will go up around these areas on January 13th. It seems as though DINOSAUR, the Boneyard, Restaurantosaurus, Dino-Bite Snacks, and Trilo-Bites will stay open for now. TriceraTop Spin This means that we only have a limited time left to enjoy these DinoLand attractions! Hurry over to Animal Kingdom before they’re gone forever. When the new land is done, there will be a ride through Casa Madrigal, an Indiana Jones ride, and a carved wooden carousel featuring tropical animals. There will also be at least one restaurant and other attractions, including a large fountain where stories will be told by gathering villagers. The Tropical Americas are home to the largest biodiversity on Earth, so it’s likely we’ll see some amazing details from these areas. It was a Disney Channel reunion! ©Disney Celebrities have been visiting Disney Parks since Disneyland first opened in 1955, with the nearly 70 years since seeing everyone from dignitaries and actors to sports stars and musicians making documented visits to the parks. Recently a former Disney Channel star shared some snaps from a recent visit to Disneyland Paris. Spouse’s post also included images of the actor (looking purposely disaffected, as is his image) with Mickey Mouse, Pluto… @ColeSprouse Instagram … and Cinderella. @ColeSprouse Instagram Sprouse and his brother starred in the Disney Channel smash hit Suite Life of Zack and Cody as well as its spinoff Suite Life on Deck from 2005-2011. He went on to even greater success in the role of Jughead Jones on the long-running Archie Comics adaptation Riverdale. There’s a new hotel addition coming soon to Disney World! ©Disney For a while now, we’ve been watching construction at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, where a new Disney Vacation Club (DVC) tower is being built. The Island Tower is set to open in December with new dining, entertainment, and hotel rooms, and we can’t wait! We stopped by the Polynesian Village Resort recently to check out the construction progress, and things are moving along FAST. Disney only has two months for everything to be ready for the first guests, and the outside of the building is really coming together. Construction progress A new walkway has been paved around the pool area, and it looks like elements for the Moana-themed splash pad have been installed. Disney has also started planting some trees that definitely help give off the island vibe. New walkway The pool even had water in it during our visit! This pool area has a great view of Seven Seas Lagoon — we could see the Disney Wedding Pavilion in the distance. The pool Windows have been installed on the building, and it looks like it’s time for final touches to start going inside. There are still some exterior elements that need to be completed, including painting on some of the support beams. Work inside After we checked out the construction outside, we hopped on the Monorail to get a different view. And from there, we could see the new mural on the side of the building. Very Polynesian and whimsical! A mural! We can’t wait to explore this hotel building ourselves when it opens on December 17th. We’ve already learned about some of the perks that those staying at this tower will have, and we’ve even gotten a sneak peek inside the rooms. There’s going to be a lot to see! We go to Disney World every day, and that means we’ve tried out a bunch of different bags to find which ones we like the best. EPCOT And what have we found? Well, everyone is different! Some members of our team prefer larger bags, while others just want a crossbody. Okay, so you know us, and we have a lot of favorite dining spots ALL over Disney World. Animal Kingdom But if you asked us about our favorite park for food, we very well might tell you that if we could choose a park JUST based on its food, we’d choose Animal Kingdom every time. The food there just SLAPS. However, we have a favorite quick-service spot there, too, and yes, you know where we’re going with this if you’ve been with us for a while. Two words: Cheeseburger Pods. Yep, we love Satu’li Canteen, and well, now a former Disney Imagineer who had a lot to do with helping create Animal Kingdom has commented on that restaurant! We love that! Of course, the person who helped create the land would put it so succinctly. All we know is that the food here is INCREDIBLE and it fits the Pandora theme SO WELL. Extra, extra, read all about it! Seriously, we’re sure Disney World hasn’t had a wink of sleep because it has dropped so many new updates this week. If you’ve missed out, this is your chance to catch up! Cinderella Castle I’m back again with another round of WHAT’S NEW UPDATES AT DISNEY WORLD, a rundown on all the epic news and updates that happened at Disney World this past week. This week, we got the 4-1-1 on a Disney World hotel pool reopening, a Hollywood Studios attraction now being permanently closed, and a popular restaurant finally being open 7 days a week! EXCITING POOL NEWS: A Disney World Hotel Pool Has Finally Reopened There is one commonly overlooked form of entertainment at Disney World — pools. Fuentes del Morro Pool When people think about their Disney World trip, they tend to focus on the four theme parks. And we get it, the parks are obviously a huge draw and full of excitement! However, the pools at the Disney World hotels are lots of fun. Several include water slides, hot tubs, and a bit of relaxation amid your semi-chaotic “vacation.” Luckily, anyone staying at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort has some pool news to celebrate! Caribbean Beach Resort Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort has six pools, including the Fuentes del Morro pool and five leisure pools. While the Fuentes del Morro Pool has lots of exciting features, such as two waterslides, spray water cannons, and a shipwreck play area, the leisure pools offer great escapes from the boisterous ongoings of the parks. Fuentes del Morro pool One of the five leisure pools has been closed for some time for refurbishment, but we have great news. The Barbados Leisure Pool has now reopened for your use to relax and swim! Barbados pool The Caribbean Beach Resort is divided into five villages representing different areas of The Caribbean. As you might imagine, the Barbados Leisure Pool is located in the Barbados Village. While it was closed, those staying in the Barbados Village were welcome to check out one of the other village pools, but you’ll no longer need to travel far to soak up some sun! Barbados Village Pool The Caribbean Beach Resort is a very spread-out resort with sandy beaches, jogging trails, fishing experiences, a playground, and more. It is located along the Disney Skyliner with its own Skyliner station that it shares with Disney’s Riviera Resort. If you’re looking for a Moderate resort to stay at on your next trip, this may be a great option if you enjoy a leisurely experience and Caribbean vibes. Caribbean Beach Resort We’re happy to see this pool reopen for Caribbean Beach Resort guests to enjoy! A Definitive Ranking of EVERY Disney World Hotel! NEWS! A Disney’s Hollywood Studios Attraction Is Now Permanently Closed The time has officially come in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Hollywood Studios Recently, we said goodbye to an adorable attraction that was fit for all ages. Over on Sunset Boulevard, tucked away close to where Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is located but even FURTHER behind it sat Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy, but as of now, it’s no more. Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy It was announced back in the beginning of September that Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy would close to make way for a new show, and the official last day of operation was October 7th. As of now, the area is roped off and construction will begin soon to turn it into the new show area. The area is now roped off! In case you didn’t get to experience it, Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy was about a 15-minute show that brought you to Lightning McQueen’s virtual racing track to teach you how to use it, but his nemesis Chick Hicks breaks into the system and challenges Lightning McQueen to another race. Lightning McQueen’s friends step in to help him when Chick starts to cheat during the race, helping Lightning win despite all the struggles in his way, reminding us that at the end of the day, winning or losing doesn’t matter — it’s the friends you have with you. Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy Kids and adults alike appreciated the show, especially the epic Lightning McQueen animatronic. It was quite iconic and impressive, and we really will miss him! Lightning McQueen animatronic However, this area will become the home to a new Villains show in 2025! So far, we know that this show will feature villains like Captain Hook, Maleficent, and Cruella de Vil, and it’s been teased that they’ll break through glass as they take the stage for live production numbers! ©Disney We’re excited about this new addition coming to Hollywood Studios! REVIEW: The Locals Want Us to Gatekeep This Hollywood Studios Spot…but You NEED TO KNOW! EXCITING EPCOT NEWS: A Popular Restaurant Will FINALLY Be Open Seven Days A Week Again Four years ago, Disney World closed and then later reopened due to the global pandemic. After four years, some things still have not returned to normal in Disney World. EPCOT For example, much of Disney World’s streetmosphere entertainment, like the Citizens of Main Street, have never returned. Some restaurant offerings (like afternoon tea at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort) never returned. Although a lot of things are now back to normal, even some restaurant hours haven’t been the same since 2020. One EPCOT restaurant, though, has finally returned to being open seven days a week, for the first time since 2020. Japan Pavilion in EPCOT Takumi-Tei, in the Japan Pavilion in EPCOT’s World Showcase, closed with Disney World in 2020 and didn’t reopen until 2022. After its reopening, though, its hours remained limited to Thursday through Mondays, meaning it was closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Takumi-Tei However, a few weeks ago, Takumi-Tei expanded its hours and added Wednesdays to when it would be open. We recently noticed that the restaurant will add Tuesdays back to its schedule as of November 5th, meaning the restaurant will be open seven days a week for the first time since its reopening. You’ll be able to book the restaurant for dinner every day from 4:30PM to 7:30PM. ©Disney We recently visited Takumi-Tei, and although the restaurant is pricey, we’d revisit it again. The dining experience is second to none, and the food is well-presented and tasty. The restaurant features a prix-fixe menu consisting of two “omikase” (aka where the chef curates your meal) multi-course meal options: an omnivorous “Kiku” meal for $250 per person and a plant-based “Hasu” meal for $250 per person. An attraction that was part of the 1988 opening day for Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park will be closing soon. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Animal Kingdom’s park icon, the Tree of Life has been home to It’s Tough to Be a Bug! Along with the It’s Tough to Be A Bug closure, Disney also announced that DinoLand U.S.A. will be transformed into a Tropical Americas-themed land named Pueblo Esperanza, including three new attractions! These attractions include an Encanto-themed attraction, a carousel, and an Indiana Jones-themed attraction. So, when will this attraction close to park guests? It’s Tough to be a Bug! At the Destination D23 fan convention in 2023, it was announced that It’s Tough to be a Bug! themed after the Pixar film A Bug’s Life will be re-themed as Zootopia: Better Zoogether. It’s Tough to be a Bug! No exact closing date has been announced. But keep in mind that the announcement may be imminent as the new Zootopia show is confirmed to open in the winter of 2025. Downtown Disney is the shopping and dining district at Disneyland Resort. Downtown Disney You’ll find lots to enjoy in this part of Disneyland. There are dining locations like the new Tiendita, Céntrico, and Paseo, as well as stands like Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs and more. You can also shop at some of your favorite stores like Disney Home, The Disney Dress Shop, The LEGO Store, the Star Wars Trading Post, and more. Downtown Disney has been getting lots of new shops, restaurants, and attractions recently, and we just spotted a cute new candle stand on our last visit! A new shopping stand has popped up at Downtown Disney! Havilah & Co. is a brand new candle business that has set up its new shop in Disneytown Disney. They have a wide variety of scented candles to choose from. The new candle stand! The company is a 50/50 company, meaning that 50% of the profits from every sale are donated. Every candle at the stand is $44, with half of that going to help young entrepreneurs, according to the company’s website. Havilah & Co. The candles are made with a “100% natural coconut blend wax with no harmful chemicals.” Your purchase of a candle includes a gift box with the candle, a scent card, and a set of matches. Lots of scents to choose from! These candles could make a great gift as we start entering the holiday season or a simple way to add ambiance to your own home as the days get cooler, plus, you know that half of your purchase went to a good cause. There are so many dining options in Disney World that you may be confused as to why someone would choose to go to the McDonald’s on property. Ba Da Ba Ba Bah… But for our reporters, and many of the Disney World staff who are there every single day, sometimes you’re just in the mood for some basic fast food. Or, maybe you’ve got a picky kiddo and you don’t want to fight them on what they’ll eat (or if you’re picky yourself!), or are arriving at the resort late and want to grab something with a drive-through. Whatever your reasoning, we get it. However, there is one thing about this McDonald’s we need to warn you about — you might not be expecting it! This McDonald’s is almost just like any other you’ll find across the nation — the same menu, same taste (for the most part), all the things you know and love about the chain. However, when you go to take a sip of your drink, you’ll notice that there’s something different with your straw. Happy Meal Since the McDonald’s is located on Disney World property, that means there’s one very obvious rule it has to follow — using paper straws instead of the plastic ones you usually get at these restaurants. This is because back in 2018 Disney made a commitment to reduce plastic waste in an effort to help the environment. Their 2030 Environmental Goals Report states that they have successfully eliminated over 200 million plastic straws and stirrers per year with this change! Disney World McDonald’s While this is great for the environment, it doesn’t make it great for drinking sometimes, as many drinks are much harder to enjoy with those paper straws, and you’ll find that to be the case around all of Disney World (except for Joffrey’s locations, which use those biodegradable sugarcane straws that we’re much bigger fans of). So, if you’re not a fan of these straws, you’ll want to prepare to take the lid off your drink and just drink it straight from the cup, or you can bring your own reusable straw. Hi. Frequent traveler here. I go to Disney World a lot. I recently flew to Paris (and stopped by Disneyland Paris, duh). I’ve tested some tricky airplane gadgets and accessories, and I have some thoughts. Orlando International Airport One thing that is hard for me — and many others — is falling asleep on an airplane. Those airplane seats aren’t exactly comfortable. But what can you do about it? Well, we tested two viral neck pillows from Amazon, and there was a clear winner. OK, we’re starting with this neck pillow that is officially known as a Neck Donut. It comes in this handy little bag and folds up to be pretty compact. Neck Donut bag Our first thoughts? Unfolded, it looks a little bit like a neck brace. But on a long flight, that might be just what you need to keep your head supported! Ultimately, this felt like a regular neck pillow when we put it on. This product was able to hold its shape throughout the flight but still folded up easily. It was pretty darn comfortable! Donut Neck Pillow After a while, we will admit that our neck started feeling a little stiff, but that’s hard to avoid when you’re sleeping upright. We would go with this over any classic neck pillow, and if you’re looking for something on a budget, this is great. If you’re looking for a comfortable, basic travel pillow, you should be able to fall asleep easily with this product. View Online! Time for the competition to enter the arena. We also tested the viral Trtl (as in “turtle”) on Amazon, and this one did NOT disappoint. ©Amazon This isn’t a typical neck pillow. It’s more like a fleece headrest with soft fabric and a sturdy hard side to lean your face on. Yes, we were skeptical at first (especially for the price), but after seeing SO MANY positive reviews, we went for it. ©Amazon We LOVE this product. Yes, it is more expensive than the Neck Donut. However, for those who travel a lot or plan to spend multiple hours on a long flight, comfort is an important factor to keep in mind. The best way to describe what this does is to imagine resting your head on someone’s shoulder. This pillow was specifically designed to remove any neck stiffness or discomfort so you can sleep for hours — upright — without any pain when the pillow comes off. 10/10 would recommend. View Online! We don’t know about you, but we are excited about all the new things coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Disney’s Hollywood Studios First, there’s going to be a villains-themed show, which is set to premiere in 2025. FINALLY, the villains are getting their time to shine in Disney World. However, what’s even more exciting is that Disney plans on building a Monsters, Inc. land in Hollywood Studios, and that land will have a new suspended coaster ride based on the doors scene in the movie! We’ve only wanted that ride FOREVER. However, the more we think about it, the more we’re worried about that ride. We’ll tell you why. It could have screens Okay, so we’ve already shared this concern before, but we’re worried that the ride might use screens. Now, granted, screens aren’t ALWAYS a bad thing, but if they’re used a lot, it just takes away from the ride (and we saw a lot of complaints about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure for its use of screens). The concept art of the ride certainly makes the wall of doors on the right look like screens. ©Disney However, if this is the ONLY use of screens and there are other scenes and parts of the ride using animatronics and practical effects, it could work and not take away from the ride. If the New ‘Monsters, Inc.’ Coaster Follows This ANNOYING Trend, 60% of Disney Fans Will NOT Be Happy It might be a LONG time before the ride is completed Disney has not yet set a timeline for the new Monsters, Inc. land or ride, and we haven’t seen anything exciting happening at Hollywood Studios yet, so it doesn’t look like the company is in a hurry to get started on it. Given that, it could be likely that we’ll be waiting YEARS for the ride to be finished and open. ©Disney We HOPE to start seeing construction start at least as early as 2025, but until Disney announces its plans for certain, we’re just going to have to wait. When Is the New Monsters, Inc. Land Opening in Disney World? It might replace Muppets Courtyard There is already a LOT of speculation about where the new land and ride will go, and many fear it will end up replacing Muppets Courtyard, meaning that Muppet*Vision 3D could be a thing of the past once work begins on the new land. Muppet*Vision 3D We’re hoping this is NOT the case, as there are other areas of Hollywood Studios that probably have the space for the new land, and let’s just say we wouldn’t cry if it replaces Launch Bay instead. Is This the END of The Muppets at Disney World as We Know It?! The seats might not be comfortable or friendly to all body types Looking at the concept art, the seats for the suspended coaster don’t look entirely comfortable. We don’t see any pull bars that go over the shoulders, though, so it looks like you might be strapped in with your feet dangling over the edge of the seat. However, one thing we notice in looking at the seats is that they’re pretty slim, meaning they might not be accessible to all body types. ©Disney We have to give Disney some credit, though. The TRON Lightcycle / Run bikes aren’t friendly to all body types, but Disney does provide accessible seating for those who need it — could this ride have something similar? Close-Up Look At NEW Monsters Inc. Coaster Announced for Disney World! It might not be family-friendly One thing we’re really worried about is what the height requirement might be for the new ride. We did a little digging and looked at similar suspended roller coasters (based on what little knowledge we have about this one) at Six Flags, and the height requirements ranged from 42 inches to 54 inches. By comparison, Slinky Dog Dash has a height requirement of just 38 inches. Slinky Dog Dash has a 38″ height requirement Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and TRON Lightcycle / Run both have height requirements of 48 inches, while Expedition Everest has a height requirement of 44 inches. So, this suspended coaster might have a higher height requirement than a few of the Disney World coasters, meaning younger ones might be left out. What Will Disney’s NEW Monsters, Inc. Roller Coaster Be Like? We Found Some CLUES You might have to store things in lockers Given how wild this ride turns out to be, you might have to store things in a locker, like you do for TRON Lightcycle / Run. A suspended roller coaster means more things could fly off (including shoes), so you may have to go through the whole process of storing your items before your ride. Lockers at TRON: Lightcycle / Run Also, the concept art does not show any places on the ride vehicle to store your things. That can be a hassle, especially since you’ll have to retrieve your items after the ride. The Secret Proof That Disney’s NEW Monsters Inc. Land Has Been in Development for YEARS So, these are some things to think about as we start to learn more about the new ride coming to Hollywood Studios. Well, it has been A WEEK in Disney World. What’s better than a Mickey pretzel and beer? Most of this week we’ve been worried about Hurricane Milton, and Disney World even closed briefly as a result. Needless to say, not a lot has happened with Disney World restaurants this week, but we did notice a few minor menu changes. We’re still waiting for that big round of food price increases we usually get this time of year, but for now, let’s just focus on the few updates we have. Magic Kingdom Cinderella’s Royal Table Under Finales, Berries Mousse is no longer available. Cinderella’s Royal Table That’s the only change here. Review: I Ordered the Most Expensive Meal in Magic Kingdom — Here’s What I Loved About It Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory The Mickey Beignets are no longer on the menu here. Beignets — A Port Orleans Resort tradition! They were temporarily added while Scat Cat’s Cafe underwent refurbishment — however, now that Scat Cat’s Cafe has reopened, you can get the Mickey Beignets there. CONFIRMED: This Is STILL One Of the BEST Late-Night Dinners in Disney World Disney Springs Raglan Road Raglan Road has changed up its Brunch menu.
