  1. Believe it or not, being the editor of a digital media website that talks about Disney cupcakes all day is a full-time job. Actual photo of me talking about hot dogs for my job Trust me, I know how ridiculous it sounds, but being an editor for Disney Food Blog is, in fact, my actual, real job — and it’s one I take very seriously. Just kidding! While there is plenty of serious business to be had at Disney Food Blog behind the scenes, there is also plenty of fun and excitement — and I’m bringing you along for a day in the life of a DFB editor! DFB has been around for a while, which means that by now we’ve got a pretty good system down that keeps the ship afloat. I’m actually one of a few editors, and we all share duties while having individual responsibilities as well. But, one thing is always certain — no two days will ever look the same here at Disney Food Blog. You never know when breaking news might pop up (or when Disney will announce the cupcake to end all cupcakes). Cinderella Castle On a typical day when I’m running things, I’ll wake up bright and early to check for any news that may have popped up overnight that we need to cover before making sure our writers have enough assignments to keep them busy for the day. And, while you might think that eventually there couldn’t possibly be any more Disney or theme park and travel news, we still haven’t run out yet! Animal Kingdom Ultimately, my day mostly consists of editing and publishing posts on the sites, along with keeping an eye on any potential news that might pop up. There are also lots of boring tasks on my daily to-do list, like coming up with exciting topics and titles to write about, along with checking to see how previous posts have done on the site. Oh, and meetings. I’ve got plenty of meetings! Disney’s Hollywood Studios Even though no two days are alike, I can pretty much always count on some sort of news popping up throughout the day, whether it’s Disney, Universal, or other travel and theme park topics we cover here on DFB. Luckily, I’m part of a fabulous team that can handle anything that might come up when it does. There are a lot of moving parts here at DFB, with multiple different teams and departments. Part of my job as an editor involves communicating with each department to make sure everyone is on the same page across the DFB brand as a whole. EPCOT We have reporters in the parks every day as well, which means I’m also keeping tabs on the information that they’re sending in case it’s newsworthy. If breaking news does pop up, I’ll make sure we have all the info we need before assigning our writers to get the news out there. And, since you’re reading this, you’ve probably realized that I still do quite a bit of writing for Disney Food Blog too! I started out as a writer and still enjoy that side of things, but being an editor definitely keeps things interesting. Slinky Dog Dash in Toy Story Land In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more Disney World updates to share with you. 2. Attention, Disney fans! Please report to Tomorrowland. We have someone you’re going to want to meet. There are some NEW characters coming to Disneyland! Welcome to the future! The highly-anticipated SXSW Conference is happening NOW, and Disney is dropping all kinds of big news! We’ve been on the edge of our seats waiting to see what kind of mind-boggling new technology would come out of this event, and all we can say is…WOW. Get ready to meet a new friend! Disney confirmed that H.E.R.B.I.E. and the characters from Fantastic Four are coming to Tomorrowland! Disneyland Tomorrowland On July 25th, 2025, Disney is set to debut a new Marvel movie called The Fantastic Four: First Steps. For all you Mandalorian fans, you might recognize a familiar face in the new Marvel movie — Pedro Pascal will play Mister Fantastic! Pascal will co-star along with Vanessa Kirby (as Susan Storm), Joseph Quinn (as Johnny Storm), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (as Ben Grimm). Fans have been waiting for this movie for a LONG time, so we have a feeling this premier is gonna be a BIG one. ©Marvel We can’t WAIT to meet Mister Fantastic! And get ready to meet H.E.R.B.I.E., a flying robot that is described by Marvel as a “fully functioning analog computer [that] assists the Fantastic Four in their quest to protect Earth.” Isn’t he cute? We love a weird robot! ©Disney We still don’t have an official debut date for H.E.R.B.I.E., but we’ll keep our eyes out for updates! Based on Disney’s track record, it’s likely that H.E.R.B.I.E. and friends will arrive in Disneyland around the same time that the movie is released. See ya then, pals! ©Disney We can’t wait to meet him! ©Marvel This is a lot of news to take in, right? 3. Get ready to turn into your own Marvel superhero! Avengers Campus ©Disney Disney California Adventure’s Avengers Campus has given parkgoers the opportunity to meet their favorite Marvel superheroes and enter the world of Marvel through a couple of attractions since it opened in 2021. However, one major criticism since opening is that it might not be enough. The scope of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is massive — it is the highest-grossing box office franchise of all time — so it’s unsurprising that guests often feel the Avengers-inspired land could do more. Well, Disney’s heard the fans and plans to DOUBLE the attractions within the land, including a brand-new Iron Man-themed thrill attraction! Stark Flight Lab will also be joined by the other new attraction: Avengers Infinity Defense! According to Disney, this Avengers Campus ride features a scenario where “technology that allows the Avengers to jump between worlds has gone missing, and King Thanos is using it to wreak havoc everywhere.” Avengers Infinity Defense will have guests join in battle across the multiverse alongside the Avengers to defeat King Thanos and recover stolen Stark technology. Riders will board their vehicle and join the Avengers as they visit Marvel locations such as Wakanda and Asgard while taking on King Thanos in a large battle across the multiverse. NEW ride vehicle! We can’t WAIT to jump on both of these new Marvel rides! In the meantime, continue to follow us here at DFB for all the latest Avengers Campus and Disneyland news! 4. Disney just announced more details about the Cars area coming to Magic Kingdom! Magic Kingdom We just learned more about the ride vehicles that will be coming to this new area and got a look at concept art for them! The new Cars area will be coming to Frontierland in Magic Kingdom. The Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island will be transformed into this new area. Construction is expected to begin in early 2025. While Disney has previously announced that this new Cars area will feature TWO new attractions, we now have even more details about the ride vehicles that will be used! ©Disney The Disney Imagineering team took a trip out to Arizona to take a ride in some real off-road vehicles to provide some inspiration. Afterwards, they worked with a motocross company to build a dirt track and work on creating the new ride vehicles. ©Disney To make sure the attraction is as realistic as possible, they are using a customized production vehicle with sensors all over to gather data on how it feels to drive on varying terrain. We are in for a bumpy and realistic ride it sounds like! ©Disney We also got a first look at some of the concept art pieces for the ride vehicles. They will each have their own personality with their own name and number. It will feel like you are really racing through this new attraction! We can’t wait to take a ride in them. ©Disney We are excited to find out even more about this new area and we can’t wait to experience these new attractions. 5. Back at D23, Disney announced that an official Monsters Inc. themed land, Monstropolis, would be coming to Hollywood Studios. Not only that, but Chairman Josh D’Amaro told the crowd, “You’ll go into the factory and experience the first suspended coaster ever in a Disney park. Remember in the movie how those claws grab the doors and hoist them up into the air to take them away? We’re doing that, too. And you’re going along for the ride.” D23 Ever since then, we have been eagerly anticipating any news about the upcoming attraction (because just like Josh D’Amaro, we too have always wanted to ride on the doors like Mike and Sulley!). Now, the day has finally arrived-Disney has revealed all-new details about the coaster! Let’s go check it out. In the video, you can see the coaster being LIFTED off the ground! We have NEVER seen anything like that before. It’s the world’s first! ©Disney This helps eliminate the need for a vertical hill in the coaster, making it different from other coasters. The new Monsters, Inc. Land will take humans to Monstropolis for the first time ever! Here, the monsters are looking for your help. They need our laughs to power the city and keep things working. A new land themed to Pixar Animation Studios’ “Monsters, Inc.” is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Taking place after the events of the film, Monstropolis need humans’ laughter to power the city. Guests can even ride on a door like Mike and Sully in the iconic scene from the film with Disney’s first-ever suspended coaster. Inside the Monsters, Inc. plant, you’ll find the first-ever suspended roller coaster in a Disney park. A suspended roller-coaster is one where you sit in your seat, but your legs dangle off the ground. The seat is attached to the track above your head instead of under your seat. ©Disney It sounds like it’s going to be tons of fun! We even got to see a 3-D model of the new ride at the D23 event. The model looks really cool! You can how you’ll be inside the factory and whipping and twisting through the area holding all the doors to the human world. Concept art and model for the Monsters Inc. Land coming to Hollywood Studios Monstropolis is taking over Muppets Courtyard in Hollywood Studios while the Muppets are moving over to Rockin’ Roller Coaster. From the concept art, it also looks like we’ll be gaining HarryHausen’s from the Monsters, Inc. movie! ©Disney We’ve waited 23 years for this ride announcement, and we’re super excited to finally get to ride on a door through Monsters, Inc! In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more. Will There Actually Be TWO COASTERS in Disney World’s Villains Land? 9. Disney World hotels do a lot right. Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort The perks are a nice bonus, the amenities keep us coming back for more, and some of the theming just blows our minds. With all that said, there’s one Disney World hotel bed trend we just don’t seem to understand — and we KNOW we’re not alone. What’s the deal with murphy beds? Disney has been including them in rooms more and more, and we’re not sure why. Murphy bed Practicality is the name of the game when it comes to Murphy beds, but we don’t find them to be all that practical. Murphy beds can be pulled down from the wall and then put back up, and their foldability is supposed to create more space. “More room for activities,” as one might say. But are they really saving space? This table becomes a bed Maybe it’s just us, but in our experiences, we don’t usually fold the bed back up every day. Murphy Bed in a family suite When the goal is to typically get out of the hotel room to explore Disney World, you’re not usually thinking about making the bed or folding it up. On the flip side, do you really want to come back to your room after a long park day and then take a bed down from a wall instead of just plopping right on? Pull-Down Bed Then there’s the question of quality. A standard Disney World hotel room comes with two beds, and we’re usually fans of those beds’ comfort. Murphy beds just aren’t as comfy. If you’re sacrificing a good night’s sleep so you can have extra space in a hotel room that you aren’t using for most of the day, is it really worth it? Murphy Bed folded to provide table seating Between the diminished comfort and the hassle of folding the bed up and down every day, we keep coming back to the question of “Why?”. Murphy beds can be found at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa (the first Disney World resort to use them), Disney’s Riviera Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows, The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and many more Disney World hotels, so Disney has clearly embraced the trend of using them more frequently, indicating that they’re popular in certain circles — just not ours. 12. As we have reported, HUGE changes are coming to Disney World this year. Tree of Life We have new shows, lounges, and of course, some closures happening around the parks. And with closures, we will be loosing some of our favorite things, like snacks! You’ll want to be sure to grab these two snacks before they go extinct. On January 12th, we said our final goodbye to TriceraTop Spin, Chester and Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures, and Fossil Fun Games inside of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Parts of DinoLand are already being demolished to make way for the new Tropical Americas area coming to the park in the years to come. Triceratop Spin But, for now, some of our favorite snack stands over in DinoLand are still here. We aren’t sure when we could see these snacks become extinct so head over and order them while you can! First, we’re going with something sweet… the Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich from Dino Bite Snacks. This snack location is to the right of Restaurantosaurus. Dino Bites We’ve often shared our praises for the ice cream cookie sandwiches. Whether it be the classic vanilla ice cream sandwiched between two freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies, or one of the seasonal specialties with limited time ice cream flavors and holiday sprinkles, we’ve LOVED chowing down on these massive sweet treats for a while now. Valentine’s Cookie Sandwich Our second snack recommendation is grabbing the Buffalo Chicken Chips at Trilo Bites. This stand is right before you head into DinoLand from Discovery Island. These are seasoned house-made chips topped with pulled buffalo chicken, arugula, crunchy diced celery, diced tomatoes, and lots of bleu cheese dressing. Buffalo Chicken Chips It’s a unique snack that is great to share — especially for someone who LOVES that buffalo chicken/bleu cheese combo. We’re already begging Disney to keep this snack and just move it’s location when the time comes because we are not ready to say goodbye to this savory snack. Again, we don’t have exact timelines for when these treats will disappear but we do know that DINOSAUR, Restaurantosaurus, and the Boneyard will be open through the end of the year. We will share a closing date as soon as we have it. Dinoland U.S.A. Speaking of saying goodbye, the final tour has arrived for one of our favorite attractions! Our ‘DINOSAUR: The Final Roar’ Tee is a dino-mite tribute to the wildest ride through prehistory, styled like an epic ’80s band tee. With retro vibes and a nod to extinction-level awesomeness, this tee lets you rock out as we say goodbye to this legendary attraction. The Final Roar- DINOSAUR – Adult Tee Shirt Pueblo Esperanza is the official name for this new land coming to Animal Kingdom. This will become home to two signature attractions — an Encanto ride featuring the Madrigal family and a new Indiana Jones adventure ride! A Carousel will also provide another ride option. While we don’t have details about what food will be found here yet, we can’t wait to find out. Pueblo Esperanza Market Concept Art ©Disney For more Disney news, be sure to follow us at DFB. Some purchases in Disney World may seem like unnecessary (and overpriced) luxuries, but when you’re in the middle of a long, hot park day, they can be total lifesavers. Here are a few things we never thought we’d buy in Disney World, but they made our day so much better. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Preferred Parking at the TTC If you’ve ever parked at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) and had to wait for the tram – or worse, walk what feels like miles to the Monorail or ferry – you know it can start your day off on a pretty frustrating note. That’s where Preferred Parking comes in. Zurg parking lot Full disclosure: it is an extra cost (it can be $15–$25 more than standard parking), but it gets you much closer to the entrance, which means less walking and more energy for all the fun stuff. Parking at the TTC If you’re arriving later in the day, this upgrade is even more worth it because standard parking spots fill up fast, and you could end up parked wayyyy in the back of the parking lot. Preferred Room at Your Disney Resort At first, paying extra for a Preferred Room at your Disney resort might seem unnecessary – after all, all rooms are technically within the same hotel. But after one too many long walks from the farthest building at a Value or Moderate Resort, you can quickly realize how much of a difference it makes. Disney’s Port Orleans — French Quarter Resort Preferred Rooms are closer to transportation, dining, and amenities, which means less time trekking back and forth after a long park day. When your feet are aching, and all you want is a shower and a comfy bed, having a room close by is a game-changer. Lightning Lane Premier Pass Lightning Lane Premier Pass is one of the most expensive Disney World upgrades you can get. With prices ranging from $129 to $449 per person, per day, depending on the park, it’s a major splurge. But if you truly want a stress-free day with zero planning, this pass lets you skip the lines at every Lightning Lane attraction without having to reserve times. ©Disney While the Lightning Lane Multi Pass is a much cheaper option, the Premier Pass is perfect for those who don’t want to micromanage their day or worry about missing out on the most popular rides. Is it pricey? Yes. Is it a complete luxury? Absolutely. But if you’re only visiting Disney World for a short time and want to maximize every second, it might be worth considering. Plus, it’s cheaper than a V.I.P. Tour. A High-Quality Park Bag I used to think any backpack would do for a Disney trip, but after one too many sore shoulders and sweaty backs, I realized the value of a high-quality park bag. For example, have a look at Enter the Corkcicle EOLA Cooler Backpack. ©Amazon It’s stylish, durable, and insulated, which means it keeps your drinks cool while also functioning as a regular backpack. ©Amazon Having a bag that’s comfortable to carry and helps keep snacks and water bottles cold is a game-changer, especially in the Florida heat. Yes, it’s more expensive than a basic backpack, but it’s an investment that makes park days so much more enjoyable. Get it here! So, while it’s not absolutely necessary to purchase any of these things while you’re at Disney World, they will make your Disney day a whole lot smoother, more comfortable, and way more enjoyable. 16. There are plenty of rules that we have to follow while in Disney World. Selfie sticks and large strollers are some common items that have been banned from being brought into the parks over the years. Magic Kingdom However, there are a few surprising items that absolutely ARE allowed in the parks! Service dogs are a common sight throughout the theme parks. But did you know that there is another service animal that is allowed to enter Disney World? It might surprise you, especially if you saw it walking around in the parks! Disney’s official statement on service animals reads, “At Walt Disney World Resort, a service animal is a dog or miniature horse that is trained to do work or perform tasks for, and to assist, an individual with a disability.” That’s right! A miniature horse is allowed as a service animal for those guests who need assistance. Dapper Dans While these aren’t nearly as common a sight as service dogs, if you happen to spot a miniature horse in the parks, don’t be shocked! We don’t often see mini horses at ALL — service animal or not — so the idea of spotting one at the parks is intriguing to us. We have seen horses, of course, on Main Street, U.S.A. or Tri Circle D Ranch over at Disney’s Fort Wilderness. Horses at Tri Circle D Keep in mind that with any service animal, certain areas and attractions in the park are off-limits. If you have a service animal, make sure you take off-limit areas into account. Be sure to talk to a Cast Member if you wish to ride an attraction that does not allow service animals to ride. The CM will either offer Rider Switch or have accommodations in place for your service animal such as a portable kennel. Space Mountain Service animals may NOT ride the following: Magic Kingdom Park The Barnstormer Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Peter Pan’s Flight Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Space Mountain Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Tiana’s Bayou Adventure EPCOT Mission: SPACE Soarin’ Test Track Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Disney’s Hollywood Studios Alien Swirling Saucers Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith Slinky Dog Dash Star Tours – The Adventure Continues Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror Slinky Dog Dash Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park Affection Section at Rafiki’s Planet Watch Avatar Flight of Passage Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain® DINOSAUR Kali River Rapids Maharajah Jungle Trek: Aviary Area Dinosaur Keep in mind you will have to let your service mini horse or dog use the bathroom when in the parks and Disney provides a detailed list of locations where this is permitted: Magic Kingdom Park Adventureland: adjacent to the Pirates of the Caribbean Frontierland: near the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Liberty Square: behind the Liberty Tree Tavern Fantasyland: near the Walt Disney World Railroad Tomorrowland: By Space Mountain Restrooms Epcot Future World East: next to the restrooms behind MouseGear Future World West: next to the Imagination! restrooms United Kingdom: right of restrooms The space between the Outpost and Germany Pavilion Disney’s Hollywood Studios In the courtyard of First Aid Across from Baseline Tap House Toy Story Land: near Alien Swirling Saucers At the entrance to Toy Story Land Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park Discovery Island: near First Aid DinoLand U.S.A.: next to the planter at the Restaurantosarus restrooms Asia: right of the planter at Maharajah Jungle Trek restrooms Rafiki’s Planet Watch: right of the planter at Conservation Station entrance Pandora: on path near the Satuʻli Canteen Service Animal Area Disney World is happy to welcome service animals when required by guests. Keep in mind you should never approach a service animal at work. So if you DO spot one, don’t try to pet it or take a photo with it. But if you need a medically required service animal, maybe consider the regal, majestic, petite world of miniature horses. For more Disney news, be sure to follow us at DFB. 18. We’re making a stop at the Canada Popcorn Cart today at the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival! Canada Popcorn Cart The 2025 EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival has officially begun and it has a LOT to offer. There are plenty of food booths with tasty items, unique topiaries to check out, merchandise to grab (of course), and even concerts to watch. But don’t let it overwhelm you, we’ve got you covered with everything you need to know. This year, the Canada Popcorn Cart has a special Festival drink on the menu — let’s check it out! Menu There is one Festival-specific item at the Canada Popcorn Cart this year — the returning Peach Smash made with Canadian Club Whiskey with lemon, peach purée, and ginger The menu! Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself! Drinks As we mentioned, the Peach Smash is back again this year! This drink is made with Candian Club Whisky, lemon, peach puree and ginger for $11.50 Peach Smash When we had this drink at last year’s Flower & Garden Festival, we enjoyed it! Yum! This drink is very ginger-forward, and we loved it! The peach flavor was on the more subtle side and settled on the bottom, so don’t forget a straw to mix it up! It was light and crisp and not heavy on the whisky flavor, and we can’t wait to have it again. OVERALL While the Canada Popcorn Stand doesn’t have too many options, they know what they do well! We loved this Peach Smash, even with the forward ginger flavors. It was so refreshing and pairs great with a batch of that maple popcorn. Have you tried this drink before? 19. It’s happening! The EPCOT’s 2025 Flower & Garden Festival has officially kicked off! 2025 Booth We’re talking about the Northern Bloom booth — one of the Outdoor Kitchens (also known as Food Booths) at the park’s springtime celebration! Stop here while enjoying the Festival’s famous Disney topiaries, garden displays, and entertainment. Join us as we review Northern Bloom to see if it lives up to its reputation as a deserving fan-favorite booth once again this year. Menu At Northern Bloom, most items are returning, but this year also brings us one new beer. We can’t wait to dig into the Seared Scallops. There’s also a good selection of beers here, including a Beer Flight. 2025 Northern Bloom Menu We can’t wait to dig in! Eats Returning to this booth this year are the Seared Scallops. These are served with French Green Beans, marble potatoes, and bacon vinaigrette! Yep, you read that right, BACON vinaigrette! Grab the Seared Scallops for $8. Seared Scallop We really enjoyed the Beef Tenderloin Tips in the past as well. You can get them for $7.75 this year. They pull apart really easily, just like a pot roast would. This dish has a lot of flavor, and we also thought the meat had a nice, tangy flavor to it. The mashed potatoes had a lot of butter! We could even taste the buttery goodness underneath all of the sauce. Beef Tenderloin Tips The Chocolate Maple Whisky Cake was a rich chocolate cake with maple and whisky sauce. Chocolate Maple Whisky Cake LOVE! The Chocolate Maple Whisky Cake was wonderful! It was gooey, decadent, and chocolatey. The cake was moist and easy to cut into. It was all the best parts of dessert! Grab the Chocolate Maple Whisky Cake for $4.75. Drinks At a previous festival, we grabbed the Collective Arts Brewing Grapefruit Lime Sour and the Florida Orange Groves Sparkling Blackberry Wine. Collective Arts Brewing Grapefruit Lime Sour The Collective Arts Brewing Grapefruit Lime Sour was tasty! We would describe it more as a hard cider, but we did enjoy this one! You can sample it for $5.75 for a 6 oz and $9.75 for a 12 oz. And finally, the fruity wine, the Florida Orange Groves Sparkling Blackberry Wine. This wine could be a bright and crisp delight or could be a fruit-flavored cough syrup in disguise. So, which side of the spectrum does this wine lean toward? Florida Orange Groves Sparkling Blackberry Wine The Florida Orange Groves Sparkling Blackberry Wine is a nice, sweet blackberry wine. The wine itself is not super heavy on the alcohol and it is very palatable. We think this would be a great wine for walking around the World Showcase and sipping on! You can grab it for $12. OVERALL Northern Bloom is such a classic booth at this festival, and it’s one that we enjoy year after year. You can’t be the scallops with the bacon vinaigrette and the beef tips are such a hearty option. While there aren’t many exciting new things here, it’s still a solid option! 20. Tangierine Cafe is back again at this year’s EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival, and we hate to say it…but it’s becoming the booth that brings no surprises to these Festivals. Find out what we mean… Tangierine Café The 2025 EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival has officially begun and it has a LOT to offer. There are plenty of food booths with tasty items, unique topiaries to check out, merchandise to grab (of course), and even concerts to watch. But don’t let it overwhelm you, we’ve got you covered with everything you need to know. Come along with us to visit the never-changing Tangierine Cafe… Menu Perhaps it should come as no surprise anymore that the menu at Tangierine Cafe is the same as it has been for several years. Once again you’ll find two varieties of grilled kabobs, a Mediterranean flatbread with dips, and a sweet cake for dessert. Drinks this year include the returning Pomegranate Mimosa, three hard ciders (one IS new for 2025), and a cider flight that showcases all three hard ciders. 2025 menu Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself! Eats The never-changing Grilled Kabobs for $6.25 feature Lamb Kefta or Chermoula Chicken served with carrot-chickpea salad and garlic aioli on top. Grilled Kebab — Lamb Kefta These have been on the menu for MANY festivals and if you’ve enjoyed them in the past, you’ll likely enjoy them again this year. Grilled Kebab — Chermoula Chicken Also returning for this year is the Mediterranean Flatbread with chermoula, roasted vegetables, artichoke, olives, feta cheese for $5.25. This was new in 2024 and we found it to be ALMOST a best of the fest item! Mediterranean Flatbread Our review in 2024 said “It has a luxurious garlic aioli drizzled on top of it, which isn’t listed on the menu. And honestly, the aioli was the bed part. It was like dunking Mediterranean bread into a tasty garlic dip.” Also returning to the booth this year is the Orange Blossom-Saffron Cake. Orange Blossom Saffron Cake Last year, we found this cake to be not overly sweet and a pleasant surprise all around. It’s $5.25. Drinks The Pomegranate Mimosa for $11.50 is made with sparkling wine and pomegranate juice. It’s back again this year. Pomegranate Mimosa In the past, we have found this to be fruity, simple, and refreshing and a nice change of pace from the traditional orange mimosa. Three hard ciders round out the menu this year, including a new Blake’s Hard Cider Co. Tropical Mango Imperial Hard Cider. The other ciders are Keel Farms Pear Honeysuckle Hard Cider and 3 Daughters Brewing Pomegranate Hard Cider. The 3 Daughters Brewing Pomegranate Hard Cider was a favorite in 2024. 3 Daughters Brewing Pomegranate Hard Cider The Keel Farms Pear Honeysuckle Hard Cider was a bit of a disappointment last year. Keel Farms Pear Honeysuckle Hard Cider If you want to check out all three hard ciders this year, we recommend the Cider Flight for $10.25. OVERALL Overall, we wish that Tangierine Cafe: Flavors of the Medina would shake things up for the EPCOT Festivals. But hey, there are some solid snacks here, and we can’t be mad at consistency! If you’re a big fan of what’s on the menu here then we do recommend stopping by! Click here to see FULL reviews of EVERY. SINGLE. BOOTH. at the Flower & Garden Festival! 22. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again — no two Disney World days are alike. Magic Kingdom No matter how much planning you do, you might run into hiccups that put a damper on your day, which is why it’s always a good idea to stay flexible. If you’re heading to Magic Kingdom soon, you need to know about this fireworks change! Heads up if you’re heading to Magic Kingdom soon! Happily Ever After fireworks showtimes are changing this weekend. Currently, you can catch Happily Ever After nightly at 8 PM. But, on Sunday, March 9th, those showtimes move to 8:30 PM. Happily Ever After This is to help account for the light difference once the clocks change for Daylight Savings Time, which is happening this weekend as well. Then, on Sunday, March 30th, 2025, Happily Ever After fireworks showtimes change yet again. Starting then, you’ll be able to see the fireworks nightly at 9 PM. We LOVE Happily Ever After! Showtimes will be at 9 PM for the foreseeable future — at least as far as the Disney World calendar currently shows. Disney will often change the showtimes for fireworks to account for how long it stays light out, with the showtimes getting later thanks to those long summer days. This isn’t the only change happening in Magic Kingdom currently — and we’ll be sure to keep you updated on it all! Happily Ever After Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is currently closed for a lengthy refurbishment. Tom Sawyer Island and the Rivers of America Are Closing Permanently: These classic attractions will make way for a brand-new Cars-themed area, which will definitely expand Frontierland in a whole new direction. Villains Land Construction Is Underway: Beyond Big Thunder Mountain, Disney is working on the all-new Villains land. If you’re coming in 2025, and the noise, walls, and disruption are most likely going to be impossible to ignore. DVC Lounge Replacing the old Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade: Over in the heart of Frontierland, the former Shootin’ Arcade is being replaced with a Disney Vacation Club lounge. 23. We’re turning to YOU, our readers, for some Disney World tips! Welcome to Disney World! We’ve become experts when it comes to planning Disney World trips, but we also know that our readers provide so much valuable input on what makes a Disney vacation great. We asked you about some of your favorite CHAOTIC Disney World tips, and ya’ll didn’t disappoint! The Enchanted Mic Podcast wrote, “Use paper maps and no cellphones,” and we just have to say…COULD YOU IMAGINE?! Well…kinda, right? We don’t want to age ourselves, but you don’t become Disney World experts without having some sort of memory of the days of old when paper maps were common practice and the My Disney Experience app didn’t exist. Hey, Disney World really leans into nostalgia, so why not embrace a different era when you visit? ©Disney Reader Cath wrote, “Skip table dining. Share quick service or kids meals and snacks! You can sample more and save a fortune.” That’s a really bold tip, but we actually understand it. If you’re budgeting and want to try a little of everything, this tip can be useful! Chaotic? Yes. Pragmatic? Also yes. Kids meal in EPCOT! Reader Erin suggested something only few can do: visit four parks in one day. Four Parks One Day! We Went to All Four Disney World Parks in 63 Minutes! If you have the park-hopper ticket add-on, this is technically possible, but you better have the energy and a willing spirit to accomplish this! EPCOT Rope drop came up quite a bit, too. Reader Syd wrote, “There is nothing more chaotic than rope drop… you are literally taking a chance to get injured by getting push[ed], shoved, walked over, and don’t forget about the strollers coming for your ankles…It’s worth it, but so chaotic.” Reader Stephanie added, “Rage days at [Magic Kingdom] – where you get there an hour before rope drop and stay a full 15-plus hours doing every single ride and show. It’s a total chaotic blitz.” Disney Adults Are DIVIDED Over This Controversial Park Tip Rope dropping is not for the faint of heart, and there are just as many Disney enthusiasts that refuse to partake as those who swear by it. All we know is that rope dropping is MOST DEFINITELY chaotic. Hollywood Studios at rope drop And then there were some incredibly chaotic (and funny) tips! 24. Over the last century, The Walt Disney Company has crafted a world built on innovation, creativity, and storytelling. However, what makes Disney unique is how artistry and technology work together to bring stories to life for people around the world every day. On Saturday, this relationship will be on full display when Josh D’Amaro, chairman, Disney Experiences, and Alan Bergman, co-chairman, Disney Entertainment, present The Future of World-Building at Disney — a featured session at the SXSW conference in Austin, Texas. The session will give an inside look into the “convergence of imagination, innovation and the future of experiential storytelling” at Disney. It will also give a snapshot on how that strategy not only sets Disney apart, but connects the company’s past, present, and future. Watch The Future of World-Building at Disney session on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. ET via a livestream, which can be found on SXSW’s YouTube channel. To find out more, we spoke with D’Amaro and Bergman about what brings Disney to SXSW, how the interplay between innovation and storytelling comes together, and what makes the company’s storytelling everlasting. The Walt Disney Company is not thought of as a technology company. So, why is it holding a presentation that focuses on innovation at SXSW? D’Amaro: Innovation is one of the core principles of our company — and has been for more than 100 years. We use — and invent — new technology to tell our stories in exciting, compelling ways. From robotics to ride vehicles to how we render the media in our attractions and so much more, technology is integrated into everything we do. So, of course, it makes sense for us to tell that story at SXSW, to demonstrate how we use technology to give our guests experiences they never dreamed possible. We live in a world right now where even some of the best storytelling can be forgotten. However, Disney stories are generational. How does the interaction between the studios and the parks make the company’s stories everlasting? Bergman: Everything we do starts with great storytelling, and we’re fortunate to have the very best storytellers at Disney no matter where you look within the company. A big reason our storytelling can withstand the test of time is the ability for people to experience our stories in so many ways — from our movies and TV shows to our parks, cruise ships, and consumer products. Those experiences are meaningful and can be shared and passed down across generations. At the heart of it all is the creative collaboration that’s built into how we operate. The first Imagineers were actually drawn from Walt’s filmmaking team, and they developed many attractions based on films like Snow White, Peter Pan, and Dumbo that are still beloved today. How is the interplay between on-screen storytelling and experiential storytelling something that only Disney can do? D’Amaro: One of our company’s core strengths is the incredible collection of storytellers we have under one roof. They all work together to make imagined worlds feel real. Those stories take many forms — from movies and TV to parks, cruise ships and consumer products — and that’s what makes Disney so special. Our storytellers collaborate across disciplines to bring our characters to life in new ways. Because a Disney story doesn’t end when the credits roll or when you walk out the park’s front gate — they keep growing and evolving. What is the most important aspect of the connection between artistry and technology? Bergman: Since Disney was founded, it’s been driven by bringing art and technology together. That’s put us at the forefront of many advancements, from Walt’s early shorts and the first animated feature, Snow White, to the many innovations in production technology and animatronics from our teams across the company including ILM, Pixar, and Imagineering. We view technology as an essential tool that makes us better storytellers and helps us create more immersive and compelling entertainment experiences. It’s especially helpful to have artists who understand technology and vice versa, and we’re lucky to have incredibly talented people like that who can also collaborate really well together. How does Disney Experiences fuel innovative storytelling at the Studios? D’Amaro: Storytellers across our company are constantly spurring one another on to do great work. We’ve seen classic park attractions inspire major motion pictures — Pirates of the Caribbean, The Haunted Mansion and the Jungle Cruise, just to name a few. And it goes deeper than that. Because Imagineers work so closely with our studios, our filmmakers are often excited to explore how their worlds might translate into immersive experiences for our guests. How does storytelling at the Studios fuel innovations at Disney Experiences? Bergman: They go hand in hand, and you see that every time you step into one of the parks. The influence of the films has been there since the beginning and has grown as the company has grown. Our studio’s creative teams build incredible worlds, and Disney Experiences takes those worlds and brings them to life, allowing guests to become part of the adventure. And in some cases, like with Pirates of the Caribbean, it can even go the other way. Not to mention that many of the creative leaders and storytellers at the Studio are huge Disney Parks fans themselves. So the teams draw inspiration from one another and we ensure that we maintain close connections throughout the storytelling process and in how we bring those stories to life in the parks and elsewhere.
