Disney World is full of tempting treats, but finding one that’s both delicious and budget-friendly? Now that can be a challenge! Gaston’s Tavern menu at Magic Kingdom With so many over-the-top snacks popping up in the parks, it’s easy to get caught up in the hype and drop serious cash on a single dessert. But what if we told you that one of the best sweet treats in Magic Kingdom is just over five bucks? Let’s talk about a crispy, custardy dream that might just be your new favorite snack. Crème Brûlée Croissant from Gaston’s Tavern We’ve seen a lot of crazy croissants in Disney World, but the Crème Brûlée Croissant from Gaston’s Tavern is simple, elegant, and worth every penny of its $5.29 price tag. Crème Brûlée Croissant Imagine a flaky, golden croissant filled with smooth vanilla bean custard, then topped with a crackly, caramelized sugar crust. Sounds amazing, right? Well, it is – but first, grab some napkins, because this thing is messy. Messy, but delicious The croissant itself isn’t quite as fluffy as some others we’ve tried, but it still has that classic buttery softness. The real magic happens on top, where the brûléed sugar layer adds a satisfying crunch and a deep, caramelized sweetness with just a hint of that signature brûlée char. And then there’s the custard – so much custard. It’s light, creamy, and packed with vanilla flavor, making every bite a perfect balance of crisp, creamy, and sweet. Honorable Mentions Warm Cinnamon Roll from Gaston’s Tavern Gaston doesn’t just serve up breakfast – he serves up one of the biggest, gooiest cinnamon rolls you’ll ever see! This warm and fluffy treat, priced at $7, is a fantastic way to start your day in Fantasyland. It’s generously covered in a rich maple-flavored icing that adds the perfect touch of sweetness. Gaston’s Tavern — Warm Cinnamon Roll Want to make it even better? Ask a friendly Cast Member for an extra cup of icing! While they may not always be able to grant your request, more often than not, they’ll be happy to provide a little extra drizzle to take your cinnamon roll experience to the next level. It’s big enough to share – if you’re willing! Cheeseburger Spring Rolls at The Adventureland Cart They may not win any beauty contests, but when it comes to flavor, the cheeseburger spring rolls are a real winner! Sold at the Adventureland Spring Roll Wagon near the entrance to the land, these crispy, golden rolls are a longtime fan favorite for a reason. Cheeseburger Spring Rolls The cheeseburger spring roll takes everything you love about a classic fast-food burger – savory beef, melted cheese, and even a hint of pickle flavor – and wraps it all up in a crunchy shell. Priced at around $9.50, you get two rolls and a side of mayo-based dipping sauce packed with pickle bits for an extra tangy kick. Cheeseburger Spring Roll Not sure if you want two of the same flavor? No problem! The cart often offers a second rotating spring roll option, and you can mix and match to get the best of both worlds. Adventureland Spring Roll cart Again, if you’re someone who loves filled pastries (or even if you just have a soft spot for crème brûlée), this croissant is absolutely worth a try. It’s indulgent without being over-the-top, and at just over five bucks, it’s a great way to treat yourself without breaking the bank. So the next time you’re in Magic Kingdom, swing by Gaston’s Tavern and give it a try, and in the meantime, stay tuned to DFB for all the latest from Disney. The days of waking up at the crack of dawn just to stare at your phone are officially over (for now, at least)—Disney World’s Virtual Queue system is officially no more! Or, at least, for the time being. Magic Kingdom A Virtual Queue at Disney World is a digital reservation system that allows guests to secure a spot in line for certain popular attractions without physically waiting in a standby line. Instead, guests join the queue through the My Disney Experience app and are assigned a boarding group. When their group is called, they can return to the ride within a designated return time. But now, Virtual Queues are no longer in use for current attractions at the parks. Starting February 25th, Virtual Queues are no longer being used for Guardians of The Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind over at EPCOT, and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Over at EPCOT, Guardians of The Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind started its first day of being Virtual Queue-less with just 45 minutes. A huge shock, especially when keeping in mind that Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure was at 55 minutes this morning! My Disney Experience app But of course, things changed pretty quickly, and as wild as an actual rollercoaster, Cosmic Rewind went from 45 minutes to a whopping 170! Ouch! My Disney Experience app The almost 3-hour wait was mind-blowing (but not surprising given the popularity of this attraction) however the standby line has now settled to 85 minutes. Phew, what a ride huh? Cosmic Rewind is also available to ride for guests staying at a Disney World resort hotel and entering the park with Early Entry. Guardians of The Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind At the Magic Kingdom, however, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure experienced a delayed opening, which was not ideal for its first day without a Virtual Queue. The lines were backed up but finally, at 9:31 am, the attraction was back up and running. Despite the delay, however, the ride was posted at just a 45-minute standby wait time. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure standby line Currently, the wait has shifted to 20 minutes, which was surprising to us, given its late start, as well as the popularity of this attraction. However, we’re guessing the times will shift throughout the day. My Disney Experience app If these wait times seem less than ideal for your upcoming trip to Disney World, keep in mind that Disney offers a skip-the-line system for purchase called Lightning Lane Single Pass that allows you to bypass the standard line for a shorter wait. Guardians of The Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Overall, the first day without Virtual Queues at Disney World hasn’t been too bad so far. We’ll keep you posted on any major changes or impacts as the day unfolds. Stay tuned with us here at DFB for all the latest in Disney news! Hollywood Studios is full of movie magic, thrilling attractions, and…some truly hilarious guest commentary. Disney’s Hollywood Studios With so many immersive experiences and unexpected surprises around every corner, it’s easy to understand why guests might get a little confused. But some of the things we’ve overheard? Absolute comedy gold. Here are some of the funniest things we’ve heard while wandering around Disney’s Hollywood Studios. “Is this a roller coaster?” If you’ve ever been on Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, you know that it’s a high-speed, indoor, launch coaster with multiple inversions. You also know that there’s a giant set of speakers blasting Aerosmith into your ears and a shoulder harness locking you into place. Rock on! Which is why it’s so funny when guests, already seated and fully strapped in, turn to the Cast Members and ask, “Wait…is this a roller coaster?” At that point, it’s too late – you’re going from zero to 57 mph in 2.8 seconds, whether you were expecting it or not. “How does the ride vehicle get outside?” About the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, this one always makes us chuckle. Guests will often stand outside the attraction, staring at the track section that sits out in front of the show building, and try to figure out exactly how the ride vehicle gets there. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Some assume it somehow loops back outside, while others try to work out an elaborate track-switching system. The truth? That section of track is just a prop! The actual ride never goes outside – but we love watching people try to crack the case. “Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster doesn’t go upside down.” One of the funniest theme park debates we’ve ever heard was a full-on argument about whether or not Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster actually goes upside down. Get ready to go topsy-turvy One guest insisted it didn’t because they “can’t ride things that go upside down” – despite having ridden it three times already. Their friend, knowing this was incorrect, pulled out their phone, did a quick Google search, and broke the news. Oops. Talk about ruining the magic. Muppets Are Taking Over! Speaking of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, in Disney announced that the Muppets will be partnering with some of “music’s biggest stars for a rockin’ music festival” in the coaster’s upcoming re-theme. This likely means that while the Muppets will be the stars of the ride, we can also expect appearances from some major musical artists. ©Disney Looking closely at the artwork, we can see that the concept art suggests a colorful design for the ride vehicle that aligns with the Electric Mayhem’s iconic aesthetic. It even appears that Dr. Teeth’s keyboard is integrated into the vehicle, which would be a fantastic touch! ©Disney Also, it looks like the ride will feature some of our favorite muppets like Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem crew – Animal, Floyd Pepper, Janice, Zoot, and Lips – along with Kermit and Miss Piggy. ©Disney Since the ride will now be set at a music festival, there’s definitely room for more surprise Muppet appearances along the way like Fozzie Bear, Beaker, Dr. Honeydew, and the Swedish Chef. “I’m in the park with the tower ride…you know, the Jurassic Park ride?” Ah, here’s the classic Disney park mix-up. Hollywood Studios has The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Universal’s Islands of Adventure has Jurassic Park River Adventure. These are, in fact, two completely different rides, in two completely different parks, owned by two completely different companies. Tower of Terror But that didn’t stop one guest from confidently announcing into their phone that they were at the park with “the Jurassic Park ride” while standing right next to Tower of Terror. Somewhere, their friend was frantically looking for a T. Rex that simply did not exist. “Wait…is this an actual hotel?” For our last one in this post, we come to the Tower of Terror. Oh, the Tower of Terror. One of the most iconic rides in all of Disney World, featuring an eerily abandoned hotel, a creepy backstory, and a drop sequence that has guests screaming in terror (or delight). But we can’t tell you how many times we’ve heard guests ask if there’s a real hotel component to the attraction. Hollywood Tower Hotel No, you cannot book a room at The Hollywood Tower Hotel, but we fully support the idea of Disney turning this into a Tower of Terror-themed resort. Imagine the ambiance, the theming, the ghostly bellhops greeting you at check-in – Disney, make it happen! Fun Facts And before we wrap things up, here are some fun tidbits about Tower of Terror that you might not know! Standing at 199 feet, Tower of Terror is the second tallest attraction in Disney World. It’s just half a foot shorter than Expedition Everest! Any taller, and the FAA would require it to have a blinking red aviation light, which would ruin the illusion of a spooky abandoned hotel. The attraction is packed with references to The Twilight Zone, including the Mystic Seer machine from Nick of Time and Caesar the Dummy from Caesar and Me. Speaking of Caesar, Cast Members make it a habit to greet him daily – because no one wants an angry dummy lurking around! In the pre-show video, keep an eye on the little girl in the elevator – she’s holding a very familiar stuffed mouse! The queue is full of hidden details, but one of our favorites is the mail slots in the check-in area. The letters inside? They’re real notes left by Cast Members for future Cast Members to read and add their own! Imagineers watched every episode of The Twilight Zone (twice!) to make sure they got the details just right. The attraction’s color scheme and Moroccan architectural influences were carefully chosen to blend in with EPCOT’s Morocco Pavilion, because you can see the tower from across World Showcase Lagoon! Tower of Terror Disney Parks are full of memorable moments, and sometimes, those moments come in the form of hilarious guest commentary. We get it – between the elaborate theming, thrilling rides, and immersive experiences, Disney World can be a little disorienting! But hey, if it leads to more overheard gems like these, we’re not complaining. As always, stay tuned to DFB for all the latest from Disney. If you want to relive the 90s at the happiest place on Earth, then 90s Nite at Disneyland Resort is where you need to be! This event is a Millennial’s dream and features dance parties, sing-alongs, and more to celebrate the 1990s. ©Disney 90s Nite will take place on March 4th and March 6th. Unfortunately, the event is already sold out for 2025, but Disney announced the most PERFECT popcorn bucket we have ever seen for it, and we needed to share it with you! You will probably want to make sure you are sitting for this reveal because we think this popcorn bucket is amazing. During 90s Nite, attendees can purchase a Powerline Max Bucket! But we also have even better news. While it is only available at 90s Nite for now, it will be available for all guests later this spring at Disneyland! ©Disney That’s right. You can purchase the Powerline Max Bucket whether or not you have a 90s Nite ticket. You will just need to be a bit more patient if you don’t have a ticket. The bucket will be available at 90s Nite on March 4th and March 6th and then during regular hours later in the spring. Powerline Max is coming soon to a bucket near you! We are obsessed with this new popcorn bucket! However, if you are attending 90s Nite, the bucket is not all there is to look forward to. In addition to being able to take advantage of the attractions, special entertainment, fun merchandise, and themed photos, there will also be some exclusive food and drink offerings. ©Disney We’ll start with the Fried Apple Pie Sundae, which will be available at Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor. This treat is fried apple pie served with vanilla ice cream, spiced caramel, and whipped cream. ©Disney You can also grab the After School Fruit Punch at the Little Red Wagon. The punch is apple juice with pineapple and cherry flavors served with a themed glow cube. This is a fun, non-alcoholic option available at the event. ©Disney There are even more non-alcoholic options too! You can get the Lemon-Lime Punch at Galactic Grill and Red Rose Taverne. It is made from Powerade and Sprite and has a creamy mango topper. ©Disney If you are looking for something savory, you can grab the Chicken-Bacon Cheesy Garlic Pretzel Bread at Edelweiss Snacks and Maurice’s Treats. This snack is a chicken and bacon-stuffed cheesy pretzel bread. ©Disney We aren’t stopping there, though. You can also find Loaded Taco Fries at Galactic Grill. This dish consists of crinkle-cut fries topped with refried beans, seasoned ground beef, spiced cheese sauce, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, olives, green onions, and a sour cream drizzle. ©Disney For a sweet and savory combo, you might want to try the Chicken and Funnel Cake at Stage Door Café. It is a funnel cake topped with chicken tenders, whipped syrup with powdered sugar, and whipped cream. ©Disney You can also get a Crunchy Taco at River Belle Terrace. The taco is filled with ground beef and jalapeño-cheese sauce over crispy tortilla chips with pico de gallo. ©Disney There is an Orange-glazed Chicken Bowl available at Bengal Barbecue. The bowl features garlic fried rice, scallions, and orange sauce. ©Disney We saved the best for last. You can also grab a Monte Cristo Pizza from Cafe Orleans. Yep, a Monte Cristo PIZZA. This snack is puff pastry with house-made blueberry thyme jam, rosemary ham, turkey breast, gruyère, brie, and Swiss. ©Disney Even if you aren’t attending 90s Nite, there is so much to do at Disneyland that it can feel a bit overwhelming. Let’s talk Disney World! Cinderella Castle There are so many things to think about when it comes to planning your Disney World trip! There are tons of different hotels to choose from, foods to add to your bucket list, and more. Another thing to think about is Lightning Lanes, and we’re revealing one major tip for when you’re booking them on your trip! Lightning Lanes can make your Disney trip more magical or more stressful, but this one major tip can be a game changer on your next trip to see Mickey! Lightning Lane is Disney’s skip-the-line service that comes in three different tiers. The first, and most frequently used, is Lighting Lane Multi Pass. Multi Pass gives you access to most of the Lightning Lanes in Disney World with a guaranteed 3 Lightning Lanes. Lightning Lane If you’re staying at a Disney World hotel, you can book your Lightning Lanes 7 days before your park day. If you’re staying off-property, you can book them 3 days in advance. Once you use your first Lightning Lane on the day of your visit, you can then continue to book throughout the day, holding a maximum of 3 Lightning Lanes at a time. Dumbo Lightning Lane The next tier is Single Pass! Single Pass gives you access to the most popular ride in each park, once per day. In Magic Kingdom, there are actually two. One is for Tron Lightcycle / Run and the other is for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Rise of the Resistance is the single pass in Hollywood Studios with Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind taking the top spot in EPCOT. And then there is Avatar Flight of Passage in Animal Kingdom. ©Disney Finally, the newest tier is the Lighting Lane Premier Pass! The Premier Pass gives you access to every Lightning Lane in the park of your choosing, but it’s going to cost you a pretty penny. There’s no booking, no stress, you just walk right up and tap in. For pricing, this is the range per park. Magic Kingdom: $329-$449 plus tax Disney’s Animal Kingdom: $129-$199 plus tax EPCOT: $169-$249 plus tax Disney’s Hollywood Studios: $269-$349 plus tax So, you’re definitely shelling out the cash for less booking stress. ©Disney So now that we understand, what is the one major tip when it comes to booking your Lightning Lanes? Specifically with multi pass, you need to screenshot when you confirm your Lightning Lane times. Here’s what we mean. When you book your Lightning Lanes, they are saved for you on your My Disney Experience account where you can check your return times, modify times, and adjust as needed. If they’re saved for you, though, why should you screenshot your times? Living with the Land Lightning Lane While we love the My Disney Experience app, it isn’t perfect. We’ve had times when the app has glitched, removing our Lightning Lane times! This doesn’t happen often, we would even say it’s super rare, but when it does happen, you might be out of luck. If you have screenshots of your Lightning Lane times and the app glitches, you can head over to a guest relations tent and see if they can help fix the issue. Guest Relations Tent There are several blue tents scattered throughout the parks with the title Guest Experience Team written on them! These are the guest relations tents that can save you from walking all around the parks looking for help when you have an issue or question. They can’t always solve your problem but if you have evidence that you, at one point, held that Lightning Lane time, the guest experience team can try to help you as much as they can. Guest Experience moved At the end of the day, even if you never have to use one of your screenshots, they operate kinda like insurance! It’s nice to have it just in case. It’s also important to remember that Lightning Lanes are not a necessity for your Disney vacation. Lightning Lanes allow you to save some time and avoid extra sun exposure, but you don’t need them. There aren’t any rides in Disney World that you have to pay to get on. Kali River Rapids Lightning Lane sign in Disney’s Animal Kingdom So there you have it! This former cast member tip can give you a bit of insurance on your Lightning Lane policy on your Disney World trip. Using this one major tip can save you tons of time and stress on your next Disney trip! As always, don’t forget to keep following DFB for all of your Lightning Lane tips and tricks. Some HUGE changes are taking place in Disney World today! For now, there will be no more virtual queues, although we will likely see them return at some point. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Today is the first official day for standby queues at both Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT. Of course, we will be bringing you full coverage of what the crowds and wait times look like today, but you may be wondering if these attractions will be available during Early Entry? Early Theme Park Entry is available for guests staying at a Disney World hotel. The perk allows guests to enter any of the four theme parks 30 minutes early every single day. You can get a headstart on the rest of the crowds and knock out some of your high-priority attractions! Wilderness Lodge While you can enter the theme park 30 minutes before its official opening, not all attractions will be available during this time. Select attractions in each park are available during Early Entry, so make sure you know which ones will be open before you waste precious time! Early Entry Previously, since both Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind were operating with a virtual queue, they weren’t available during Early Entry. However, now that both attractions offer a standby queue, will they be available during Early Entry? Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Currently, ONLY Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is available during Early Entry. That means Cosmic Rewind will be available for hotel guests 30 minutes before EPCOT opens to all guests. However, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure won’t open until the park opens for all guests. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure This morning, Cosmic Rewind had a 35-minute wait during Early Entry, which bumped up to 50 minutes shortly after the park opened for all guests. However, the wait time was posted at 170 minutes by 9:30 AM. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is currently not included with Early Entry but was temporarily closed when Magic Kingdom opened for all guests. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind While only Cosmic Rewind is currently available with Early Entry, that doesn’t mean Tiana’s Bayou Adventure won’t be added eventually. Disney can always update the attractions that are available during Early Entry. Of course, we will keep you updated with any changes! Tiana’s Bayou Adventure If you are headed to Disney World and want to know which Disney World hotels are best for first-timers, make sure you check out our video that ranks them and has lots of tips: Stay tuned to DFB for all your Disney World news! Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has long been a fan favorite, but recently, it’s been getting even MORE love — especially from Disney Adults. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Island Tower It’s all because of the NEW Island Tower that recently opened up at this iconic hotel. And honestly, it’s pretty easy to see why people love this Disney Vacation Club (DVC) property. There are new dining options, a new pool, and a whole lot more that might make you want to book a trip, too. The new Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is utterly gorgeous, so it automatically gets points for that. Inside the building, you’ll find lots of stunning artwork in bright colors that help to bring the Polynesian vibe to life. Island Tower lobby Even though this is a DVC hotel, anyone is welcome to book a room here — and there are plenty of reasons why you might want to! Proximity to Magic Kingdom Look, it’s hard to beat being so close to Magic Kingdom if you’re planning on spending any significant amount of time in this park. In addition to being on the monorail loop, which spits you right out in front of the Magic Kingdom gates — you also have the option of walking. This is one of those scenarios when you’ve got options, which is great! Walking Path If you’re looking to walk to Magic Kingdom, staying at the Island Tower is better than the rest of the Polynesian because you’re actually closer to the entrance of the walking path. It’ll take you past Disney’s Wedding Pavilion at the Grand Floridian all the way around to the Magic Kingdom. Polynesian Monorail Station The monorail is a little bit further of a walk if you’re staying at the Island Tower, but it’s still hard to beat the quick trip! The Island Tower shares a monorail station with the rest of the Polynesian Resort, so you do have a bit of a walk over to the area, but you’ll be at Magic Kingdom in no time. Stellar Dining The new dining option at this tower is Wailulu Bar & Grill, which is a mix between a walk-up pool bar and a table service restaurant. This casual walk-up pool bar and grill features an all-day menu for lunch and dinner, but specialty coffee and on-the-go morning pastries are also available during breakfast. You’ll find it located just off of the new Cove Pool, and the vibes are immaculate. Pineapple-Coconut Bread There are no reservations for Wailulu — you’ll have to walk up and take your chances to dine here, but we haven’t had any problems doing so! We’ve thoroughly enjoyed every meal we’ve had here — both breakfast and lunch/dinner. At breakfast, the Pineapple-Coconut Bread is unmatched. It’s perfectly sweet, and fluffy, and is a big portion for the price. This burger is Moana approved At dinner, we loved the Wayfinder Burger — so much so that it’s officially in the running for the best burger in Disney World, potentially dethroning the Steakhouse 71 Stack Burger. The Wayfinder Burger is made with two pressed patties, American cheese, onion jam, and volcano sauce on a sweet bun served with mac salad or sweet potato fries. Trust us on this one! Even Better Fireworks Views It’s no secret that the Polynesian offers some stellar fireworks views, but the Island Tower takes things up a notch with its garden terraces. The Bamboo Forest Terrace, which is on the 3rd floor, offers decent views, but not as great as higher-level terraces. Bamboo Forest Terrace For a better view, you may want to head up to the Wave Break Terrace. This one is located on the 5th floor, and like the other terraces, it has a stunning atmosphere during the daytime. A night, though, it’s definitely the fireworks hot spot. Wave Break Terrace But, those aren’t the only options! You can also watch the fireworks with music piped in from the Island Tower lawn. No matter how you shake it, the Island Tower is a welcome addition to Disney World. So, what are you waiting for?! Overview of the lobby In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more updates from Disney World hotels. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog so you don’t miss the latest Disney news! A massive change is about to hit Universal Studios Hollywood. Universal Studios Hollywood Studio Tour A new hotel for the park was just approved, but it’s just been confirmed that part of a popular attraction will be closing for good in less than one month. If you love the Studio Tour attraction at this park, the Fast & Furious-Supercharged section will be open for the last time in March 2025. Unlike the Fast & Furious-Supercharged attraction in Universal Studios Orlando, which is a completely separate attraction all on its own, this version of the attraction is located inside the Studio Tour attraction. Universal Studios Hollywood Studio Tour In this section of the tour, you ride along with the cast of the iconic franchise on a high-speed chase that reaches up to 120 miles an hour (thanks to 3D-HD imagery, a 360-degree screen, and realistic special effects). However, this part of the attraction will officially have its last run on March 10th, 2025. ©Universal The closure is likely due to the “Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift” coaster opening in the park in 2026, although no official opening date or timeline has been announced just yet. Ah..the life of a celebrity. We bet they NEVER have to wait in a standby line for Flight of Passage and will probably never know the pain of having to stand on a full bus at the end of the night. What a life! Imagine being escorted through the park with not one — not two — but THREE V.I.P. Tour Guides. That’s a whole army; are they standing in some kind of triangle formation to block celebrities from all angles?! We have questions. Via @joshgad on Instagram We may not have reached celebrity status quite yet, but we do know a thing or two about the life of a celebrity on vacation at Disney World. Thanks to our team of former Cast Members (and personal experience on a V.I.P. Tour), we know alllll the top-secret locations that regular guests don’t have access to in Disney World. Can ya keep a secret? Club 33 Lounge Club 33 is one of the most exclusive clubs at Disney. Even if you have the money to join (memberships cost THOUSANDS of dollars each year), Disney doesn’t just hand out invitations to anyone with a checkbook. There’s a BIG waitlist to join, so unless you happen to be best friends with Bob Iger himself, you might have to wait for a spot on the coveted Club 33 invite list. Someday! Club 33 Mosaic Logo Club 33 started in 1967 as a dining location where Disney hosted celebrities, dignitaries, and friends. It’s like the inner sanctum of the Disney parks! According to D23 and The Walt Disney Archives, the club gets its name from its address at Disneyland Resort — 33 Royal Street. The main Club 33 lounge is located in Disneyland, but there are outposts in Disney World and Tokyo Disneyland, too. See this nondescript building in Adventureland? That’s a secret Club 33 destination! Adventureland Club 33 Location Now, it’s not exactly like Disney publishes a list of all its Club 33 members for the whole world to see, but it’s safe to say that some major Disney celebrities likely have access to the Club 33 locations worldwide. Here’s Exactly How Much It Costs to be a Club 33 Member in Disneyland Backstage Here’s the thing. If you’re a major celebrity, you probably want a little privacy on vacation. Sure, we’ve seen actors, actresses, models, and sports stars wandering the parks with their V.I.P. escorts, but often, celebrities will duck backstage to get from place to place. Lots of spaces are off-limits to regular guests! See that green door to the right of that big gate? That will take you backstage to a restricted area exclusively for Cast Members and V.I.P. guests. Instead of trekking through the World Showcase, celebrities have a personal chauffeur who will drive them to different sections of the park. The same thing happens in all four parks! Shh! It’s a SECRET! This way, celebrities don’t have to worry about being swarmed by fans. It’s a lot quieter backstage! Cinderella Castle (and the famous Stage) As much as we’d LOVE to dance around on the stage in front of the Cinderella Castle…that place is off-limits. Let us in!!!! Unless you’re a world-famous artist participating in the Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade, you probably won’t get too close to this stage. In the past, we’ve spotted Sir Elton John, Derek Hough, Julianne Hough, Kristin Chenoweth, Darren Criss, and so many other artists performing in front of the castle for the holiday season. It’s pretty magical! Getting ready for the holidays The rest of the year, the stage is reserved for Mickey and his pals as they perform in Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire. V.I.P.s only! But how do celebrities get to the stage? Well, they have special backstage access INSIDE Cinderella Castle! Talk about a top-secret location. Now, all we have to do to get on that stage is learn the choreography for the show and get ourselves a job as a dancer, right? Who wants to hold the camera for our audition tape? Main Street, U.S.A. Is CLOSED in Magic Kingdom, and We Know Why In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more. Disney is making changes to Lightning Lane Premier Pass… again. ©Disney The service rolled out at both Disneyland and Disney World in late 2024, providing park guests with the option to skip the line at popular rides without needing to schedule a return time — at a hefty price. And now, the purchase window for Lightning Lane Premier Pass at Disneyland is changing. Beginning February 25th, 2025, Disneyland visitors will be able to purchase Lightning Lane Premier Pass 7 days in advance of their park visit — which is currently the same as Disney World. Previously, those wishing to purchase Premier Pass for Disneyland were only able to do so up to 2 days before their visit. Lightning Lane at Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway Disney also shared that guests visiting with a Walt Disney Travel Company package can purchase Lightning Lane Premier Pass when they receive their park tickets 3 days in advance of their arrival. Lightning Lane entrance As a refresher, Disney Genie+ has become Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Individual Lightning Lanes have become Lightning Lane Single Pass. On October 23rd, 2024, a NEW third option, the all-inclusive Lightning Lane Premier Pass made its debut. This inclusive option grants one-time entry to each available Lightning Lane experience in both of the Disneyland Resort theme parks for one price, eliminating the need to monitor Lightning Lane availability and make new Lighting Lane reservations throughout the day, and granting the ability to simply show up at an attraction and enter the Lightning Lane (as opposed to booking a specific time). Astro Blaster Lightning Lane At Disneyland, Lightning Lane Premier Pass prices “vary by date and demand within a $300 to $400 range.” As of February 25th, you’ll be able to purchase Premier Pass up to 7 days ahead of your visit starting at 7AM Pacific time. These are subject to very limited availability. Before you purchase, everyone in your party will need valid park admission and park reservations for that date — so keep that in mind. Frontier Airlines If you’re someone who flies to Disney World, you’ve got a whole other added expense that locals don’t have to worry about — so we totally understand why you might want to save when you can. And, you might be in luck because a popular budget airline just added new routes to Orlando! Popular budget airline Breeze Airways is adding additional flights to and from Orlando International Airport (MCO), per the Orlando Business Journal. Beginning June 6th, Breeze will fly between MCO and Greensboro/Winston-Salem, North Carolina twice a week! ©Breeze Airways In addition, Breeze will be boosting its service between Orlando and Portland, Maine along with Orlando and Lancaster, Pennsylvania to four times a week beginning in June and lasting through the summer. Beginning May 9th, Breeze will start service from Orlando to the Raleigh/Durham region in North Carolina as well. ©Tad Denson | Breeze Airways This will no doubt bring even more travelers through the Orlando International Airport, which saw a staggering 57.21 million passengers in 2024. At MCO, Breeze had 531,331 passengers in 2024, which made it the airport’s 12th-largest carrier by volume. It’s taken years, but FINALLY the Villains are getting the representation they deserve in not one, but TWO Orlando theme parks! The new Villains Land coming to Magic Kingdom will feature fan-favorite Disney Villains from popular Walt Disney Animation Studios films and two new attractions. Disney World has announced that a brand new Villains Land will be coming to the open area of land behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Magic Kingdom in the coming years, and Universal Orlando is getting ready to open Epic Universe on May 22nd, 2025, where one of the new lands is Dark Universe, celebrating all things classic Universal Monsters. While both of these lands focus on the villains in these stories, they’re going to be VERY different from each other, and we’re wondering which one will be visited more often! Villains Land in Magic Kingdom When Disney confirmed Villains Land was on the way at the 2024 D23 Ultimate Disney Fan Event, they said the land would be home to the villains we “know and loathe” from some of our favorite and classic Disney films. Their full quote reads: “The evil ambition of all these Villains means that the possibilities are endless for the stories that can be told — and visitors to the dark and thorny land should be prepared for whatever chaos might come their way.” Villains Land announced at D23 (2024) We also know that the land will be home to two new attractions, dining options, and shopping locations, all at an “incredibly twisted grand scale” according to Disney. And from the concept art we’ve seen, that certainly seems to be the case! Villains Land coming to Magic Kingdom ©Disney As we’re still years away from the opening of this new land, we don’t have exact updates on what attractions we can expect here, but from the concept art, it looks like a winding, thrilling roller coaster is in the works. The color palette of the land also appears to be MUCH darker than anywhere else in Magic Kingdom, which seems to indicate the major tonal shift between heroes and villains. ©Disney Overall, we’re thrilled to hear more information about this new land as it comes out, but for now, we’re left with more questions than answers. How dark is Disney going with this land? Is it similar to the Descendants films (which are focused on the children of prominent Disney villains but are still very much kid-friendly), or will we see a darker tone that adults often pick up on in these Disney films? We’ll have to wait and see! Dark Universe at Epic Universe Now Dark Universe is truly what it sounds like — this is a DARK area that will not be for the faint of heart. As this land is getting ready to open in a few months, we DO have tons of information on what to expect out of this new land, and all we can say is that if you’ve got kiddos with you, really ask yourself if they’re okay with scary things before you take them in! ©Universal Dark Universe is set in the fictional world of Darkmoor. Universal says: “Once guests make their way through the cemetery, they will find themselves in the village proper, where misbegotten scientific experiments scar the land and unnatural creations lurk in the shadows. This is Darkmoor, home to monsters, monster makers, monster hunters and the welcoming villagers who are just trying to survive.” ©Universal Uh, yeah, trying to survive? This place is intense! Visitors will also “encounter everything from the experiments of Dr. Victoria Frankenstein to the shadowy landscape where monsters roam in a world of myth and mystery.” It’s also been hinted that additional Halloween Horror Nights events will be held in this land during the Halloween season, so that’s how you KNOW this place is spooky. We mean, come on, they have a FLAMING WINDMILL! ©Universal What can you experience in this thrilling, terrifying land? The biggest attraction of the area will be Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment where you’ll enter Frankenstein’s Manor — the official synopsis for the ride reads, “Dr. Victoria Frankenstein continues the work of her ancestors deep below the family estate. A demonstration of her experiments to control monsters goes awry when Dracula leads a revolt of enraged monsters including The Wolf Man, The Mummy, the Creature from the Black Lagoon and more.” We also know this ride will have some of the most advanced and state-of-the-art animatronics ever seen, and we’re STOKED! ©Universal But that’s not all! There is a family coaster attraction in this land called Curse of the Werewolf. Here you’ll enter the Guild of Mystics and be “greeted by Maleva, the guild’s all-knowing seer and leader, who warns them that they bear the mark of the werewolf. Guests then board a wagon and venture into the forest, racing to escape the werewolves before they become one themselves.” Alright, so a little less scary, but we can only imagine how frightening this will look at night — especially to kids! ©Universal We also know there will be multiple places to dine here, such as: Das Stakehaus (a quick service dining location which is an “old inn and dining hall built over the ruins of ancient catacombs.”) The Burning Blade Tavern (another quick service that pays homage to Universal’s classic 1931 film Frankenstein — it’s an “old mill which Darkmoor Village’s monster hunters [The Hounds] have transformed into their hangout.” De Lacey’s Cottage (the sweets shop where you’ll find ice cream, cinnamon bread, twisted taters, and more) ©Universal There will also be meet and greets with iconic Universal Monsters including Dr. Victoria Frankenstein’s Monster and the “alluring” Bride of Frankenstein, Victoria Frankenstein’s servant, Ygor, and The Invisible Man, among others. A Monster Makeup Experience will also be available for guests, and you can shop for your favorite souvenirs at Pretorius’ Scientific Oddities. Comparing The Two Despite both lands being inspired by the Villains or monsters of their respective stories, these two lands couldn’t be more different. Without even seeing attraction, dining, or shopping plans for Villains Land, we feel we can say with full confidence that even if Villains Land looks spooky, it’ll still be kid-friendly. ©Disney Why? Well, because it’s Magic Kingdom! As much as some hardcore Villains fans really want a more intense villainous area, and there truly are some Disney Villains who have done some truly heinous acts, Magic Kingdom just isn’t the place for an intense, dark land. Parents will bring their kids in the land to visit characters, which we’re assuming could be people like Captain Hook, Maleficent, The Evil Queen, and Jafar, and as it’s connect to Magic Kingdom, arguably the most kid-centered of all the parks, there’s an extremely slim chance this land would be an ENTIRE 180 degree tone shift. Villains Land coming to Magic Kingdom ©Disney However, Universal has made monster movies for decades — that’s why Dark Universe exists in the first place! It’s also why Halloween Horror Nights is far more intense than Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has ever been (as you can tell by the name differences) and people looking for a real scare have always gone to Universal. Dark Universe is essentially a way to bring those Halloween Horror Nights vibes to life all year round. ©Universal So what does all this mean? Well, we can’t say definitively since we still don’t have a lot of information about Villains Land, but we’d bet money on the fact that if you’re traveling with kids who don’t have an affinity for horror and monsters, Villains Land will be the place to be. However, if you yourself, or the party you’re traveling with are into the more intense scares, or you just want a land geared more towards adults (AKA, they’re not sugarcoating the fear — again, you won’t have to worry about jumpscares like in haunted houses), you’ll want to visit Dark Universe. Dark Universe Concept Art ©Universal However, we’ll be visiting both lands when they open to bring you ALL the news you could ever possibly need/want. We’ll be detailing all the rides, attractions, meet and greets, dining locations, and everything in between so you can make an informed decision on which land is better for you and your group to visit on your trip. Magic Kingdom is home to tons of attractions that are geared towards all ages. Cinderella Castle The Barnstormer, Prince Charming’s Regal Carrousel, “it’s a small world,” and Dumbo are just a few that come to our minds immediately, but that’s one of the wonderful things about the park — it truly is for adults and kids alike! What makes Dumbo extra special is the indoor play place kids can run around in to burn off some excess energy, but we’re here to remind you that the play area will be CLOSED for refurbishment very soon! The Disney World website currently states that the Dumbo indoor children’s playground will close for refurbishment on February 24th, 2025 and is expected to reopen sometime in Spring 2025. Dumbo Disney hasn’t announced what exactly this refurbishment will look like or contain, but we’re expecting to potentially see some of the playground equipment updated, perhaps the floors or benches redone, or the lighting to be changed a little bit. Dumbo Thankfully, the Dumbo attraction will remain open and operational during this time, so you’ll still be able to ride with no issues, but just keep in mind that your kids won’t have an option to get out of line and play while you wait. The Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station will be open nearby for kids to play in, but it’s not always operational. Dumbo the Flying Elephant Looking for more recent Magic Kingdom news? We’re suckers for a great Disney celebrity story, and this one is sure to pull on the heartstrings a bit! ©Netflix We’ve become pros at scouting celebrities when they visit Disney World, guessing who might pop into the parks for a quick visit when they’re nearby, and even copying celebrity vacation styles. However, Disney celebrities also have a honed skill to make us laugh and hit us right in the feels at the same time, and this latest Netflix clip of a Disney celebrity parodying her own song came right when we least expected it. Alright, Disney Adults, this one is for you! It’s no secret around here that when Frozen first lept to the silver screen it was a smashing sensation. It’s a wonderful story of two sisters who might have a different opinion of how they view the world (thanks to one of them having mystical ice powers) and how their bond saved not only the pair but their kingdom. But, the voice behind our beloved Princess Anna, Kristen Bell, is quite the charmer. Kristen Bell We all know she’s got quite a voice to lend to such an iconic character and that soundtrack is an earworm of itself. But, perhaps one of the most popular songs in the entire film, “Do You Wanna Build A Snowman” has found new life with the familiar voice. Anna and Elsa in the Festival of Fantasy parade During the SAG Awards on Netflix, Kristen took to the stage and channeled her inner Anna before the crowd singing a parodied rendition of the song and changing the iconic line to “Do You Wanna Be An Actor?” What followed quite literally melted us inside and out. During the song, Bell made references to what it’s like starting with a dream and aspiration while clips of notable celebrities rolled on a gigantic screen behind her. Each scene highlighted a familiar face to the crowd, some when their careers were just budding, and we spotted several Disney celebrities throughout the parody like Jamie Lee Curtis, Harrison Ford, Selena Gomez, Elle Fanning, Keri Russel, Zoe Saldana, and more! ©Disney As the song wound down, we were even treated to a short clip of a young Bell herself starting out her career in what appeared to be a commercial spot for emergency treatment. Ahhh, the feels!! Kristen Bell And if you’re wondering after all of that asking, Bell’s resounding answer at the end was, “YES, I do!” This was a fun treat to find during the awards airing on Netflix which you can now stream if you want to see the entire awards ceremony in full. We’re always searching for a great Disney celebrity story, sighting, and more! Be sure to stay tuned with us to learn even more great Disney tips and tricks to help you plan your next vacation. We go to Magic Kingdom almost every day, so we know the best supplies you need for the trip. We like to throw everything we need inside a small belt bag so we don’t have to worry about going through a huge backpack when we need a quick charge on our phones. Magic Kingdom Here are our favorite products that fit right into your bag. Belt Bag, 40 Inch, Adjustable Strap Everywhere Bag ©Amazon Let’s start with the bag! This bag will feel small when you throw it around your shoulder, but you’d be surprised to see what it can fit. We put our phone, wallet, and other essentials in it so that when we’re riding an attraction, we don’t have to worry about accidentally leaving our phone on Big Thunder Mountain (and we definitely aren’t speaking from experience). SHOP ON AMAZON FuelRod Portable Charger Kit — Pack of 2 FuelRod Next up, chargers! If you’ve been following DFB for some time, you know we love FuelRods. We never have to worry about charging them because when they’re empty, we just swap them out at the free kiosks! Switching them out only takes a minute, and there are plenty scattered around Magic Kingdom, so we never feel like we’re looking for one. While you can get the battery packs in the parks, we highly recommend getting them here, where they’re cheaper and give you two! SHOP ON AMAZON Travel Mini Umbrella For Purse with Case © Amazon Florida weather likes to hit whenever you aren’t expecting it, but if you carry one of these with you, you’ll always be ready! This small umbrella fits right into the belt bag and is perfect for when your family is hiding out in a store and sends you out to go get Mickey pretzels. Disney’s Hollywood Studios isn’t really known for having the best dining options out there, but we’re here to assure you that if you know where to look, you’ll find some gems! Hollywood Studios at rope drop One of the most popular quick service spots in the park is Backlot Express, located right near the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular. It has plenty of seating with a lot of it indoors out of the sun, and while the menu is pretty generic, serving up classic theme park eats that will appease pretty much everyone in your party, there’s one option here that really blows our mind AND it’s a KIDS meal! One of the beauties about quick service restaurants in Disney World is that anyone can order off the kid’s menu, no matter how old they are! This is true whether you’re placing your order at the kiosk in person, or if you’re placing a Mobile Order (which we highly recommend). Backlot Express Over at Backlot Express, there are a few different kids’ menu options to choose from, but the one that really catches our eye every time is the Kids’ Disney Check Meals Teriyaki Tofu Bowl for $8.49. This is made with Seasoned Jasmine Rice, Marinated Tofu, Yuzu-pickled Edamame, Carrots, Cucumber, and Onions drizzled with House-made Lemon-Tahini Chipotle Vinaigrette and Sesame Seeds, and while it does come in an adult portion as well, we often find the kids’ bowl is the perfect size for us. Kids’ Disney Check Meals Teriyaki Tofu Bowl (Adult Portion) The kids’ bowl honestly is only a little bit smaller than the adult portion AND it comes with a kids’ soda cup included in the price, which can be refilled while you dine! It’s truly an amazing deal and we never don’t love it. Plant-based eaters and vegetarians will especially love this filling dish, and we love that it’s truly a healthier option in the parks. Kids’ Disney Check Meals Teriyaki Tofu Bowl You may not realize it when you’re on vacation visiting, but we’re in the parks every day, so take it from us — it’s HARD to eat healthy in Disney World when you’re there nearly every day! Salads are fantastic, but they often don’t stay with you for very long, and we need proper fuel to keep us going. Chicken tenders and chicken sandwiches have protein, sure, but most of them are also fried, which is another conundrum. We know we can always count on this bowl to be a healthier option AND we love it! More Recent Reviews! Disney World hotels are NOT all created equal (trust us, we’ve stayed in all of them). Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort Some hotel splurges are worth every penny, while others…not so much. If you’re going to drop some extra cash on your Disney stay, you want to make sure it’s actually going to enhance your trip. That’s why we’re breaking down four hotel upgrades that Disney pros agree are 100% worth it! Preferred Rooms at Value Resorts If you’re staying at a Disney World Value Resort (like Pop Century, All-Star Movies, or Art of Animation), you might be tempted to go for the cheapest room available. But here’s the deal – opting for a Preferred Room can save you time, energy, and frustration. Art of Animation Hotel At Value Resorts, the standard rooms are often located in the farthest buildings, which means long walks to the food court, pool, and bus stops. If you’re rope-dropping the parks or coming back after a long day, that extra trek can feel brutal. Preferred Rooms put you closer to the resort’s main amenities, making your stay just a little easier, and after a 20,000-step park day, you’ll be glad you made the upgrade. Club Level at Coronado Springs (or Any Deluxe Resort) Club Level is one of those Disney splurges that doesn’t seem necessary…until you experience it. At Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort (and at deluxe resorts), Club Level rooms come with access to an exclusive lounge that serves snacks, drinks, and even alcohol throughout the day. Pasta and meatballs Why is this worth the splurge? First, free food and drinks can help offset the cost – breakfast, midday snacks, and evening appetizers can easily replace some meals in the parks. Assorted meats and cheese, olives Second, the lounge is a peaceful escape from the chaos of Disney crowds. Instead of fighting for a table at a quick-service spot, you can relax in a comfy lounge with free refreshments. Chronos Club Lounge Plus, Club Level guests get personalized concierge service to help with dining and park plans.
