One of Disney World’s once-bustling restaurants has been sitting abandoned for months and no one seems to care at all! No sign of Big River Grille One of the highlights of becoming a Disney World expert is when you can recount the park and hotel histories, and closures, and even impress your friends with abandoned places hiding in plain sight. There’s one particular abandoned Disney World hotel restaurant that’s patiently waiting its turn, yet no one seems to know what to do with it! We’ve all been caught up in a whirlwind of Disney World construction happening at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn Resort lately and for good reason. It’s an incredible option to consider when you’re choosing where to call “home” during your next Disney World vacation. It’s got a turn of the century Atlantic City vibe during the day and becomes a hot spot of dining and activity by night along its waterside Boardwalk stroll. Disney’s BoardWalk Inn But, if it’s been a while since you’ve visited this Disney World hotel (and may have been out of the loop a bit), you might be shocked to find that one of its restaurants is no longer available. Disney’s Boardwalk Inn Resort once housed the Big River Grille & Brewing Works restaurant which was a popular dining option for both travelers and locals alike. Big River Grille & Brewing Works This restaurant served up several different kinds of beers, along with great burgers, steaks, nachos, and more. Inside, you’d be mesmerized by the floor-to-ceiling glass walls which provided a glimpse into the beer-making process. Bar You see this wasn’t just a restaurant to dine in, it was also a fully functioning brewery! While you were dining and enjoying your meal, you were also treated to views of an on-site brew master crafting the establishment’s various beers. It truly was an experience to step inside and witness such a sight that you couldn’t get anywhere else in Disney World! You can see the whole process However, this restaurant quietly and abruptly closed its doors on January 22nd, 2024. Shortly after discovering the closure, we headed out there for a visit to check out the progress and we noticed that the restaurant’s name had been taken down off of the outside overhang and most of the interior has been stripped down to its bare bones. The sign is gone! Although there’s been A LOT going on around this former restaurant, Disney hasn’t announced any plans for this location or given us any clues to how long we can expect it to sit abandoned. This seems ironic to us since the highly anticipated Blue Ribbon Corn Dog stand JUST opened mere steps away from this location and the second location for the upcoming The Cake Bake Shop is supposed to open at some point this year. Mexican Street Corn Dog We guess there’s always time to get around to it after these current projects are completely wrapped up, but considering both Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs AND The Cake Bake Shop’s original opening dates were pushed back several times, we’re not holding our breath about any announcement soon. Even at that, we’d still be skeptical of any ambitious timelines given how long it had taken to transform the former ESPN Club restaurant into The Cake Bake Shop. Cake Bake Shop construction Oh well, for now, all it seems we can do is wait and speculate on what we think would fit in this former restaurant space at such an immersive hotel! We’re always keeping up with the latest changes around Disney World’s hotels, parks, and everything in between. The holidays are a time for gathering with loved ones, reliving warm traditions and giving thanks. For many families, Holidays at the Disneyland Resort is an embodiment of what makes this season special! For those beginning to make travel plans to experience the holiday season and the debut of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Disneyland park, mark your calendars for one of the most magical times of the year: Holidays at the Disneyland Resort runs November 15, 2024, through January 6, 2025! Here’s how you can look forward to making spirits bright during this especially enchanting time at The Happiest Place on Earth. New Holiday Experiences Debut in 2024 This holiday season, Santa Claus and select characters will visit and create special memories with guests at the Fantasyland Theatre at Disneyland, which will also feature cookie decorating, craft making, storytelling and atmospheric music throughout the day. Santa will also make stops for photos at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail in Disney California Adventure park, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disneyland Hotel and Pixar Place Hotel through December 24. (Don’t forget to also look for Santa in the finale of “A Christmas Fantasy Parade” at Disneyland park!) As we previously revealed, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will debut charming new looks in Disneyland, reminiscent of writing warm letters to loved ones during the holidays. As another holiday treat, we are sharing a preview of the outfits some of their pals will sport on Main Street, U.S.A., as seen at the top of this post! Also keep an eye out on Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure and throughout Disneyland for characters making holiday appearances. From November 22, 2024 through January 1, 2025, the Chip and Dale’s Ornament Trail pursuit will debut at Downtown Disney District, where you can search for special ornaments hidden among the holiday trees and shining lights adorning the district. You’ll be able to purchase an activity map at select shopping locations in Downtown Disney and the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort and redeem it for a collectible holiday keepsake at World of Disney or Disney’s Pin Traders.* You will also be able to enjoy dozens of limited-time, holiday-themed food and beverages throughout Disneyland Resort. Stay tuned to the official Disney Eats Foodie Guides for more detail, but for now we are thrilled to share some fan favorites will return like the Mickey Gingerbread! Among the novelties that will be available is the returning Holiday stainless steel tumbler. Beginning November 19, “Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates the Holidays!” will delight guests at Disneyland Hotel and, for the first time, Mickey’s Holiday Pajama Party breakfast and brunch at Storytellers Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will serve holiday-themed meals, accompanied by seasonal décor and select characters donning new pajamas. Reservations will be available on Disneyland.com at a later date. With new holiday merchandise to shop like the Mickey Mouse Family Christmas, Holiday Red and Snowman collections, you’ll find gifts for everyone on your list (or yourself!). An assortment of merry merchandise will deck the halls at holiday shopping locations like World of Disney, Emporium, Elias & Co. and more. Beloved Holiday Décor, Offerings and Entertainment Returns A breathtaking and distinctly Disney holiday atmosphere will spread across Disneyland Resort, with sparkling décor creating ideal backdrops for family photos. Guests can hear holiday stories about Walt and the Disney family during the Holiday Time at the Disneyland Resort Guided Tour, including highlights such as holiday themed treats and reserved viewing for “A Christmas Fantasy Parade.”** All three Hotels of the Disneyland Resort will feature festive fun, including a massive gingerbread house inspired by pastries and candies on display at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and all-new décor at Pixar Place Hotel. The hotels will also have festive in-room celebrations available for purchase and special activities and entertainment during the holidays. Bookable experiences at Tenaya Stone Spa will bring relaxing holiday comfort, such as the Underneath the Tree Signature Massage and Warmth of Holiday Foot Treatment. And for those wanting to extend their stay in the holiday magic, staying at the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort is a great way to do so, as they are just steps away from both theme parks and the Downtown Disney District. Check out Disneyland.com for the latest hotel offers. One very special Disney holiday tradition is watching “snow” fall from above and fireworks fill the air during the “Believe…In Holiday Magic” nighttime spectacular, which will perform nightly at Disneyland! And as an additional wintry treat every night, you’ll also experience “snowfall” along the Rivers of America, outside of “it’s a small world” Holiday, on Main Street, U.S.A., and the west end of Downtown Disney. In Disney California Adventure, hundreds of fountains dance to festive music and shimmering “snowflakes” fill Paradise Bay during the nighttime spectacular “World of Color – Season of Light” presented by Pandora Jewelry. Select attractions will receive seasonal overlays, including a world tour of good cheer for all ages at “it’s a small world” Holiday and seasonal surprises inspired by “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas” at Haunted Mansion Holiday in Disneyland park. The jolly residents of Radiator Springs get ready to “deck the hauls” with Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl and Mater’s Jingle Jamboree in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure park. Get a Taste of Disney Festival of Holidays and Disney ¡Viva Navidad! The welcoming and vibrant Disney Festival of Holidays returns to Disney California Adventure, highlighting a diverse season of celebrations in Southern California with a wide range of flavorful food and beverages, a variety of live entertainment and more. You can look forward to new and returning menu items at the Festive Food Marketplaces and select dining locations in Disney California Adventure. You may choose to purchase a scannable Sip and Savor Pass in either a four-coupon or eight-coupon version, which can be redeemed for select food and nonalcoholic beverages from participating locations.*** Upbeat live entertainment expands the festival’s tapestry of diversity and brings high energy to the holiday fun. A slate of new cultural performance groups – along with returning favorites – will perform joyous music and dance across a range of genres. Plus, you will be able to enjoy holiday rhythms as iconic Disney characters march to the beat of festive music during the “Mickey’s Happy Holidays” cavalcade. You’ll also discover this year’s Disney California Adventure Festival of Holidays merchandise collection, which can be found at Merchandise Marketplace and Elias & Co. in Disney California Adventure. Paradise Gardens at Disney California Adventure will be home to the returning Disney ¡Viva Navidad! festivities, which include daily crafts, live music, menu items and décor inspired by Latin American traditions – with a dash of Disney flair. Here, you may also encounter Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, The Three Caballeros and Mirabel from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Encanto.” The Disney ¡Viva Navidad! street party will perform on select days, featuring The Three Caballeros accompanied by Mexican folklórico dancers and mariachis, Brazilian samba dancers and percussionists, and more. On days when the Disney ¡Viva Navidad! street party is not scheduled, guests may encounter Mirabel from Disney Animation’s “Encanto” or Miguel from Pixar Animation Studios’ “Coco” in festive street performances that celebrate the holidays and the gift of familia, outside the entrance to Paradise Gardens Park. Guests can check Disneyland.com and the Disneyland app for performance schedules. Plus, Celebrate the Opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland Park Beginning November 15 Adding more excitement alongside the holiday season, Tiana’s story will come to life in a new way at Disneyland Resort when the attraction Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens at Disneyland on November 15, 2024. With original music, new renditions of favorite songs from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “The Princess and the Frog” and intricate details throughout, you’ll join Princess Tiana and jazz-loving alligator Louis as you encounter familiar faces, make new friends and travel through the bayou. The attraction builds upon Princess Tiana’s storytelling that you can already experience uniquely at Disneyland Resort, whether it’s shopping at Eudora’s Chic Boutique Featuring Tiana’s Gourmet Secrets or dining at Tiana’s Palace quick-service restaurant. The reimagined merchandise locations coming to Bayou Country in Disneyland park, Ray’s Berets and Louis’ Critter Club, will feature themed merchandise inspired by the attraction that will further immerse you into the world of Princess Tiana. We can’t wait to welcome you to the bayou soon, and celebrate the holidays with you here at Disneyland Resort! Can you believe it’s almost 2025? Caribbean Beach Resort We know, we can’t believe it either! We’re just a few short months away from the new year, which means that your 2025 Disney World trip is getting closer and closer. We’re excited FOR you, but there are a few things you need to know if you’re staying on property, including NEW perks that hotel guests will get to experience that you need to know about! FREE Water Park Entry On Day 1 of Your Visit The most well-known new perk we’ve talked about a few times — on the first day of your visit, AKA your check-in day, you can recieve free admission to whichever of Disney’s water parks, Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach, is open at that time of year (for the past few years, they’ve been trading off which has been open each year while the other undergoes refurbishment)! Typhoon Lagoon Currently, Typhoon Lagoon is open, and it traded places with Blizzard Beach in March 2024. This means that most likely, Blizzard Beach will reopen in/around March 2025. So if your trip lands before then (and it’s not too chilly), you’ll be able to experience Typhoon Lagoon. But if your trip lands around or after March 2025, you’ll most likely be able to experience Blizzard Beach with this perk. Blizzard Beach Water Park This perk is ONLY available during the first day of your trip, so we recommend getting to your hotel and checking in as soon as you can on that first day so you can take advantage of as much water park time as possible! However, keep in mind that the water parks often close much earlier than Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, or Hollywood Studios, so you can finish up at the water park, change clothes, and head straight to one of the parks for more fun (IF you have a park ticket for the day), or you can head into Disney Springs! Disney World’s New Hotel Perk Is About to Cause Chaos in 2025 A NEW Fireworks Viewing Spot The other new perk was just announced recently, and has to do with the new expansion coming to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort! The new Island Tower is a Disney Vacation Club hotel that’s set to open on December 17th, 2024. However, anyone is welcome to book a reservation here! Island Tower Construction One of the new additions just announced for this hotel are the FOUR new Terrace Gardens, which are each uniquely themed and have plenty of seating to relax. You’ll look out onto Disney’s Oak Trail, Magnolia Golf Courses, or the Seven Seas Lagoon, which means that you’ll have a fantastic view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks each night! Artist rendering of the terrace garden inspired by the islands of Hawai’i. The tower will feature four distinctly themed terrace gardens for members and guests to enjoy. © Disney Now, it’s likely that these areas will fill up pretty quickly when this perk gets out, so if you’re looking to grab a great spot, we suggest staking it out a little earlier in your trip and planning to get there around 15 minutes before to be sure you have a nice comfortable seat to watch the fireworks. Yes, it means you won’t be able to see the projections on Main Street U.S.A., but if you’re not a fan of crowds, it’s a great alternative! ©Disney More Recent Disney World Hotel News! 2 NEW Perks For Your 2025 Disney World Hotel StayThe Disappointing Truth About Disney World’s Moderate HotelsI Have Something Controversial To Say About Disney World Hotel Transportation, and You Might Be Surprised About ItDisney Experts Reveal the Hotel They’ll NEVER Stay In: There Was One CLEAR Winner (and a SURPRISING Runner-Up!)Are YOU Eligible For This Exclusive Disney Aulani Discount? Can you believe that EPCOT’s International Food and Wine Festival finally starts TODAY? 2023 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival We’ve been waiting MONTHS for this festival — we’ve had a 3-month drought with no festival in the park, and while we’ve found plenty of things to keep us entertained (it is Disney World, after all), we’re so excited to try all the items at this year’s booths. We’ve got our whole team in the parks to cover it all for you, and that does also mean the dishes that we’re not huge fans of. However, there’s one dish in particular that we’re telling you it’s WORTH it to try…even if the name and look make you want to run the other way. Flavors from Fire is a festival booth that’s been around since the 2017 Food and Wine Festival. This year, similar to the menu in year’s past, you’ll find lots of options from the grill, including a regular burger, a plant-based burger, and Smoked Corned Beef. Flavors From Fire However, the dining options are not what make this booth a little…interesting, to say the least. This year you can grab the new Deschutes Brewery Black Butte Porter and the returning Four Virtues Bourbon Barrel Zinfandel, both of which sound perfectly normal, but the third drink…the third drink is the Swine Brine. 2023 Menu Swine Brine is made of Jim Beam Bourbon, apple cinnamon cider, lemon juice, and Dijon mustard and has a whole slab of meat inside of it. So does it fit with the booth? Absolutely. Is that a good thing? …Debatable. Swine Brine So why are we telling you to get this drink? Well, for one, it’s arguably the most intriguing and unique item at the festival, and it’ll be very impressive to some if you say you bought it to try it out. But on another hand, we won’t lie — when we tried this drink for the first time in 2020, we were very skeptical and were pleasantly surprised! It won us over in one sip — it was cool and fresh, and we absolutely recommended it. Swine Brine (2020) When we tried it last year though, it wasn’t nearly as much of a hit. It started off with a sweet cocktail-ness and then immediately hit us with a strong flavor of bone broth which was alarming in the worst way. The pork inside the drink also looked gray in color, which was pretty off-putting. Unlike in 2020, it was a hard pass for us. Swine Brine (2023) What does this mean? It means we’re giving it another try this year, and we think you should too! We’ve seen this drink be great, and we have faith it can be again. More Food and Wine Festival News! Ten-year-old Xuanxuan had one wish: to visit Shanghai Disney Resort and sing the famous “Ballad of Mulan” before meeting none other than Mulan herself. An ancient folk song that nearly every child in China learns, it represents power and bravery in Chinese culture as it tells the story of Mulan. Xuanxuan has been fighting a brainstem glioma, a cancerous tumor, and she has been enchanted by Mulan, from the Walt Disney Animation Studios film, since the moment she saw videos of the courageous warrior riding a majestic warhorse during Mickey’s Storybook Express parade at Shanghai Disneyland. The Disney Princess looked so brave and beautiful, igniting Xuanxuan’s wish to one day meet her hero in person. “The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all.” On June 22, her wish came true! The excited wish child and her family arrived at the Royal Banquet Hall in the Enchanted Storybook Castle. Joining them were Shanghai Ambassador, Wendy Feng and three VoluntEARS from the Shanghai Disney Resort Calligraphy Club, who are experts in Chinese calligraphy. Xuanxuan was presented with beautiful calligraphy artwork of the “Ballad of Mulan” as a gift from the VoluntEARS and even got to try her hand at Chinese calligraphy in a special lesson – an experience she deemed one of her favorite parts of the whole wish. She then got to sing the song and meet her favorite character, Mulan. Xuanxuan proudly gave Mulan her piece of art, elegantly displayed on a fan. And the magic didn’t stop there! She then boarded Mickey’s Storybook Express to see Mulan in full armor, enjoyed the new The Adventure of Rhythm show and watched Mulan’s epic story unfold. The day ended with the wish child and her family exploring the park, creating even more magical memories together. After this special wish granting experience, Xuanxuan’s mom shared, “We had a great time, filled with happiness. We would love to thank all the volunteers sincerely. Xuanxuan and I felt so surprisingly happy and excited from the attention we were getting.” Xuanxuan expressed sincere gratitude for the optimistic atmosphere she enjoyed during her once-in-a-lifetime wish. Making wishes come true is at the core of everything we do at Disney. We’ve worked alongside our friends at Make-A-Wish for more than 40 years to grant more than 155,000 Disney Wishes together globally… including this one. To learn more, visit worldwish.org/disney. In the warrior spirit of Mulan, we hope Xuanxuan embodies bravery throughout her journey and carries this newfound courage with her wherever she goes. Stay tuned as we continue to celebrate World Princess Week and share stories from around the world you won’t want to miss! We’re jumping for joy friends, because EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival FINALLY starts tomorrow! EPCOT Food & Wine Festival Words can’t express how excited we are to finally try out what these 25+ food booths and EPCOT spots have to offer us for this year. Menus for this year’s festival were released a few weeks ago, and we’ve been planning out our pathways around the first day of the festival ever since. Just today, we were in the parks checking out if menus were finally up around the different booths (many of them were!) and we noticed an area we’ve never seen before! Over near the Imagination Pavilion, there’s a new “neighborhood” of festival booths ready to open tomorrow. This area is called Harvest Hollow, and is home to three of this year’s booths! Forest and Field (you’ll find “autumn-inspired dishes paired with soothing sips.”) Milled and Mulled (Disney says “sweeten your day with freshly baked treats and specialty sips.”) Bramblewoods Bites (where you’ll find “hearty fare like grilled bison and roasted vegetables.”) Harvest Hollow While the booths won’t be open until tomorrow, we were already enjoying the absolutely adorable decor they had spread out over the area! ADORABLE! We also love how much seating there is right in this neighborhood — it’s often difficult to find areas to sit down and eat your items at the festival, which is why we recommend bringing a tray and being ready to eat on top of a trashcan, but this seating right nearby will be incredible! Look at all that seating! Having trouble picturing it on the map? We get it — here’s exactly where you’ll find this seating area and its three booths. Here it is! This year’s festival runs from August 29th through November 23rd, and we’ll be in the parks tomorrow experiencing each and every thing there is! More Food and Wine Festival News! There is one ride at Disney World that always has rumors looming about a potential re-theme. Hollywood Studios Disney World has been updating attractions lately. For example, Splash Mountain turned into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. The Country Bear Jamboree closed and re-opened with a new show of the Bears singing covers of Disney songs. We also got the unfortunate news that we would be losing the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer’s Island to make way for a brand new Cars Land. The difference with these announcements is that we got notice of the changes way before they closed. When Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster goes down to be refurbished rumors swirl around that the ride will open with a new theme. And while we know that these rumors have been going on for years, we must say it seems a little silly to freak out over it. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster We are not saying that we would not miss Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Staring Aerosmith, but instead saying that there is no reason to panic until Disney announces something. In most cases Disney gives fair warning of when a project is to start. For example, if you want to experience It’s Tough to Be a Bug! one more time, you need to do so soon as Zootopia: Better Zoogether will take its place in Winter of 2025. Zootopia: Better Zoogether ©Disney While Aerosmith has unfortunately announced their retirement, they posted on X that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster had re-opened after being closed for a lengthy refurbishment. We think this update shows that Aerosmith still has a good working relationship with Disney, and a re-theme is unlikely for now. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster It was rumored that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster would be replaced by a Monsters Inc. door coaster, and funny enough the attraction was finally confirmed earlier this month at D23. Although no location for this new land has been announced, it seems highly unlikely that the land would go where Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster currently is. Monsters, Inc. coaster While Disney has a ton of new and exciting projects like the Magic Kingdom expansion including a Villains Land and Cars Land, as well as a Pueblo Esperanza, the Tropical Americas-themed land replacing DinoLand U.S.A., we think it is pretty safe to say that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is not going anywhere anytime soon. Pueblo Esperanza Model Rest assured, if Disney were to ever announce a re-theme for Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster, we would make sure to keep you updated since you “Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing.” So as always keep following along with Disney Food Blog for more Disney news, updates, and tips! Take me out to the ballgame Magic Kingdom Park! That’s the tune the Little League team from Lake Mary, Florida will be singing this Thursday at Walt Disney World Resort. The team recently competed in the Little League World Series, defeating Chinese Taipei 2-1 to win the 2024 World Championship. After receiving a truly championship-worthy welcome at Orlando International Airport earlier in the week, the team will be honored with a parade down Main Street, U.S.A., this Thursday afternoon. The players from Lake Mary — located just north of Orlando — will be the Grand Marshals ahead of the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade on Thursday afternoon. Just like their pro sports heroes before them, the Lake Mary Little League team now gets to enjoy their victory at The Most Magical Place on Earth! The celebration for the Lake Mary team is scheduled to step off at 1:30 p.m. ET. It’s sure to be fun for the whole family, so come root for the hometown team as they parade from Frontierland all the way down to Main Street U.S.A. We got to experience a very special event recently! Moonlight Magic We went to Disney Vacation Club’s exclusive event for members, Moonlight Magic, at Hollywood Studios. Moonlight Magic events are complimentary for members and take place at different parks throughout the year. Members can sign up and reserve their spots on the Disney Vacation Club Website. We are so grateful that we got to check out this event that gives Disney Vacation Club members and their families a chance to enjoy attractions, special character interactions, entertainment, and snacks after hours! As we mentioned, Moonlight Magic is for Disney Vacation Club members and can be compared to a Disney After Hours event—except this one is free! Park capacity is limited, which means ride wait times stay low throughout the night. Moonlight Magic We went to the Moonlight Magic offering in Hollywood Studios, and the event lasted from 9:30PM to 12:30AM, after the park closed to the general public. Unlike other After Hours events, this event does not grant you early admission into the park. Moonlight Magic in Hollywood Studios First, we got our map and wristbands! Wristband The map was specially made for the event! Map for Hollywood Studios Moonlight Magic We were even given snack coupons that we could use throughout the night. Just like other After Hours events, you can get unlimited ice cream and other snacks. BUT these snack certificates allowed us to get qualifying food and drink items that were part of the Disney Dining Plan at select dining locations. This is another huge perk of this free event! Snack Coupons We made sure to get lots of ice cream! Free ice cream! Specialty entertainment offerings included this DJ who was set up in front of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. DJ Of course, we also spent the night finding all the cool character meet-and-greets! We got to see Moongirl from Moongirl and Devil Dinosaur, some of our favorite monsters from Monsters Inc., Mickey and Minnie in their Halloween best, and even Jawas from Star Wars! Breea and the Jawas Seeing George Sanderson was a huge surprise! Hey, Monsters! Mickey and Minnie greeted in front of Hollywood and Vine. Mickey and Minnie are ready for Halloween! As expected, wait times were super low throughout the night since attendance is limited. Check out those low waits! Look at how low the wait time for Rise of the Resistance was! 10 minutes for stand-by is almost unheard of! Only 10 minutes for Rise! If the night could not get any better, we even got to see a special showing of Fantasmic! Fantasmic! at Moonlight Magic The park was pretty empty throughout the night, so it really did feel like we had the park to ourselves at some points. Moonlight Magic Moonlight Magic is one of the many perks that Disney Vacation Club Members get to take advantage of as part of their membership. We had so much fun at Moonlight Magic and can’t get over how this event is free! Check Out More Disney Vacation Club Perks! Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! It’s been less than a month since Hurricane Debby turned Tropical Storm Debby hit Florida. Tropical Storm Debby at Magic Kingdom The worst of the storm mostly hit Northern Florida while its bands swept across Disney World and Orlando causing lots of rain and storms. The parks never closed, but many flights were delayed and canceled at the Orlando International Airport. The National Hurricane Center continuously monitors the tropical areas for developing storms and hurricanes as Florida continues to be in hurricane season. Now, the NHC has been following two tropical disturbances in the Atlantic for possible development — here’s what you need to know. The disturbance in the Central Tropical Atlantic is also an area of low pressure with a 0% chance of formation in the next 48 hours and a low 20% chance of formation through the next 7 days. ©Fox35 These are low chances, making it less likely for tropical storms to develop, but it is something to be aware of and monitor if you live in the Florida area or plan to be at Disney World in the coming week.
