When you travel to Disney World, you have to consider something really important: how are you getting there? Orlando International Airport Although some folks drive (especially if they live close to the Orlando area), most people who visit Disney World fly into Orlando International Airport. If you’ve visited Disney World multiple times, you’ve probably become pretty familiar with that airport. However, things could be changing soon at Orlando International Airport because, according to The Orlando Business Journal, the airport just named a new CEO. The Great Orlando Aviation Authority has named Lance Lyttle as its new CEO at its March 19th board meeting. The authority oversees both Orlando International Airport and Orlando Executive Airport. Lyttle is currently managing the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Orlando International Airport GOAA Chair Tim Weisheyer said that the plan is for Lyttle to start in his role as CEO in mid-April. The board will work to negotiate a contract with him. Weisheyer also said he was impressed with Lyttle’s vision for the airport, including baggage handling, something that Weisheyer shared needed to be upgraded in Terminals A and B. “He’s clearly a forward-thinking, innovative leader who’s going to help us move our strategic plan into the future… He also understands the mechanics of running an airport at an exceptional level,” Weisheyer said to the Orlando Sentinel. Baggage Claim Area at Orlando International Airport Other changes are already in the works for the airport. New local restaurants are being brought into the airport to upgrade some of the dining options (which, let’s face it, aren’t great unless you’re flying through Terminal C). The airport also recently updated its logo, branding, and app. A new parking guidance system is also on the way. Terminal C is about to get another big expansion, too. Inside Terminal C at MCO Airport We’ll be keeping an eye out for more Orlando International Airport announcements, so stay tuned to DFB for more. If there’s one thing we know about Disney fans, it’s that we always have opinions on what’s next for the parks. ©Disney Whether it’s a new ride, a revamped land, or a totally fresh idea, we’re full of suggestions. With all that in mind, we wanted to find out from you what expansion you’d like to see next in Disney World, you did not disappoint. We reached out to our followers on Facebook to ask: “What expansion would you like to see next in Disney World?” We had quite a few people leave their opinions in the comments! What do you think? Now, let’s dive into some of your top responses! “Wall-E in Tomorrowland!” First up we’ve got Taub who suggested, “Wall-E in Tomorrowland!” and honestly, we couldn’t agree more. It’s so cute! Tomorrowland is all about the future, but some parts of it are feeling a bit more retro than futuristic these days. Bringing Wall-E into the mix could breathe some new life into the land with a ride, a walk-through experience, or even a high-tech interactive show. Imagine hopping on a slow-moving dark ride through Wall-E’s world, complete with animatronic Eve, space travel, and some classic Pixar heartstring pulling. Sign us up. “A Coco land!” Next, we’ve got Shawn who was all about bringing Coco to the parks with, “A Coco land!” And let’s be real—how has this not happened yet? Coco topiary The world of Coco is colorful, musical, and packed with the kind of storytelling Disney does best. A whole Coco-themed land could bring the magic of the Land of the Dead to life with a boat ride (think Pirates of the Caribbean, but with marigold bridges and skeletons playing guitars), an interactive mariachi performance area, and some seriously good Mexican food. Plus, can you imagine the nighttime visuals? Glowing alebrijes everywhere. Yes, please. “More Muppets” Next, Cheryl simply said, “More muppets,” and we can’t argue with that. The Muppets absolutely deserve a bigger presence in the parks. ©Disney A new Muppet-themed restaurant, a new attraction, or even a full-blown land with wacky Muppet antics could be incredible. The Muppets are taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster but we’d love to see even more of them in the parks! Imagine a dark ride where you’re part of the Muppet Show chaos, or a meet-and-greet with Kermit and Miss Piggy in a brand-new version of the Muppet Courtyard. The humor and nostalgia potential here are off the charts. “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” Next, Brooks brought up a classic: “20,000 leagues under the sea.” If you remember the old submarine ride from Magic Kingdom, you know how cool a modern take on this concept could be. 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea A fully immersive, deep-sea adventure with giant squid animatronics, a steampunk Nautilus, and a journey through Captain Nemo’s world would be a dream for classic Disney fans. Plus, with today’s technology, the visuals could be absolutely mind-blowing. “None” Lastly, Pam had a different take: “None. Please, for the love of Disney. Halt future expansion and projects for at minimum 2 years. Focus on maintenance and customer care/training. Let’s get back to Walt and Roy’s values.” There’s no denying that Disney’s been in full expansion mode for years, and some of you think it’s time to pause and regroup. Construction Those were just some of your thoughts on what expansion you’d like to see next in Disney World, and now we want to hear even more from you! It’s been a YEAR in Disney World. Let’s just say keeping up with all the changes (and those to come) has been a challenge. Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom We’ve literally watched part of DinoLand, U.S.A. in Disney’s Animal Kingdom get shut down to make way for a new land. We’ve seen the end of It’s Tough To Be A Bug so that a new Zootopia-themed show can take over its spot. We’ve mourned the upcoming loss of Muppets Courtyard as it gets converted into a Monsters, Inc. land. Over in Magic Kingdom, we’re a little upset about the upcoming loss of Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island for a Cars expansion. But something else is changing soon in Magic Kingdom, too: nighttime entertainment. The Happily Ever After fireworks show that happens every night in Magic Kingdom will be changing soon. Previously, the show was moved from 8 PM to 8:30 PM, but on March 30th, the show will be moving even later, from 8:30 PM to 9 PM. So that’s a whole other half hour you’ll have to wait to catch the show. Of course, this has to do with the fact that the days are getting longer and it’s getting darker in the parks later. Welcome, spring! Happily Ever After If you want to make sure to get a good spot for the fireworks, you should do so early or take advantage of the Happily Ever After fireworks dessert party, which gets you a buffet of snacks and sweet treats, as well as reserved viewing areas for the show. The dessert party can be pricey, but if you want a PRIME view of fireworks without having to stake out a spot super early, it could be worth it for you and your group, especially if you love sweets. Okay, so rides in Disney World get updated ALL the time. Just right now, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Magic Kingdom is closed for a long update. Star Tours in Disney’s Hollywood Studios In EPCOT, Test Track is getting a completely new theme. Another ride that has received a few updates lately is Star Tours in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, including the addition of new scenes with new characters. Well, it seems that Disney isn’t quite done with that ride in Hollywood Studios because a new permit suggests that ride is about to get something NEW. Last year, Star Tours received some new scenes that included characters from some of the hit Star Wars TV shows on Disney+, including Ahsoka, Andor, and The Mandalorian. A new permit recently filed for the location of the ride, though, suggests something else is coming to the ride soon, too. The permit is to “install set elements,” which suggests something physical is coming to the ride, its queue, or potentially the ride’s gift shop (which shares the same address). ©Orange County, Florida Disney has not made any announcements about plans to change the ride, so we can’t be 100% sure what these set elements are, but something new does seem to be coming to the area, whatever it is. It would be kinda cool to see an update made to the queue, but as we mentioned, this could also be for a fun scene or something that’s being added to the gift shop. Whatever it is, we’ll be keeping an eye out for construction at the ride. Could something new be coming to the queue? This is just one of many updates that are coming to Star Wars rides in Hollywood Studios. Disney previously announced that Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run in both Hollywood Studios and Disneyland will be getting a new mission to celebrate the release of The Mandalorian and Grogu movie in 2026. We’ll be keeping an eye out for more updates in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad shut down on January 6th, and according to Disney will “reopen with a little bit of new magic in 2026.” Big Thunder Mountain Railroad under construction in Disney World Astro Orbiter The Astro Orbiter, the latest incarnation of the traditional Rocket Jets spinner attraction that takes riders high above Tomorrowland, closed for refurbishment on January 13th. Disney World has seen its fair share of hits and misses over the years. Alien Encounter ©Disney While some attractions become instant classics, others… well, not so much. Whether it was a concept that didn’t land, a ride that aged out of relevance, or just something that straight-up didn’t work, Disney has had to say goodbye to several failed attractions over the years. Let’s take a look at a few rides that flopped so hard they had to be shut down. Stitch’s Great Escape (Magic Kingdom) First things first, this one’s got layers. The building that housed Stitch’s Great Escape has a long history, starting with Flight to the Moon in 1971. That ride didn’t last long (because, you know, we actually made it to the moon). It was replaced by Mission to Mars in 1975, which kept the NASA vibes going until Disney decided to go full nightmare fuel in 1995 with ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter. That attraction was terrifying, so in 2004, Disney tried to dial it back with Stitch’s Great Escape, but it just didn’t work. ©Disney Stitch’s Great Escape While the ride was technically meant to be less scary, the experience of being trapped in the dark with a burping, chili dog-breathing Stitch was somehow even more unpleasant. The attraction closed for good in 2018, and since then, the building has been mostly used for pop-up merchandise stores or, more recently, as a Cast Member break area. Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy (Hollywood Studios) This one never really got a fair shot. Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy was a short, show-based attraction that debuted in 2019, featuring a high-tech animatronic Lightning McQueen. Lightning McQueen animatronic While the tech was impressive, the show itself was short, not super engaging, and easy to skip. It kind of felt like filler content rather than a must-see attraction. Disney must have thought so, too, because it’s already on its way out. ©Disney The space is being repurposed for Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After, a stage show debuting in summer 2025 that will let guests watch Disney’s most notorious villains plead their cases for why they’ve been “unfairly” treated. Honestly? Sounds like a fun upgrade. But it is interesting that it’s being placed in Hollywood Studios when an entire Villains Land is making its way to Magic Kingdom. Choices. It’s Tough to Be a Bug! (Animal Kingdom) If you ever wanted to be poked, prodded, and sprayed in the face while watching a 3D movie, It’s Tough to Be a Bug! was the attraction for you. It’s Tough to be a Bug This A Bug’s Life-themed show opened with Animal Kingdom in 1998, but over time, it became one of the park’s least popular experiences. The film itself felt outdated, and I’m not sure how many people wanted to feel like bugs were crawling all over them, no matter how “immersive” that might be. It’s Tough to be A Bug! The show officially closed on March 17, 2025, to make way for Zootopia: Better Zoogether, a brand-new show based on Zootopia, set to open in winter 2025. For the low wait times and the sheer fear this caused children, this “failure” did stick around for a really long time. ©Disney Body Wars (EPCOT) EPCOT’s Body Wars was basically Star Tours, but instead of space battles, you were zooming through the human body. This motion simulator ride, which debuted in 1989, was part of the Wonders of Life pavilion and took guests on a journey through the bloodstream. ©Endorexpress.net The concept was cool, but the ride itself? Not so much. The intense motion made a lot of people feel sick (which probably wasn’t ideal for an educational attraction), and once Star Tours came along, Body Wars just couldn’t compete. ©Wikipedia The pavilion also had limited seasonal hours, which didn’t help. By 2007, it was officially shut down. World of Motion (EPCOT) World of Motion was another EPCOT opening-day attraction, taking guests through the history of transportation – from the invention of the wheel to futuristic cars. ©Disney It was lighthearted, full of animatronics, and had that classic Disney dark-ride charm. But as time went on, it started to feel outdated, and Disney wanted something with a little more thrill factor. General Motors, the ride’s sponsor, agreed, and in 1996, World of Motion closed to make way for Test Track, which brought a more high-speed, interactive experience to the space. While Test Track has been a solid hit, some EPCOT purists still miss the charm of World of Motion. Now, Disney is adding a bit of World of Motion back into Test Track during its refurbishment. So was it really a failure? Only time will tell, we guess. ©Disney Not every Disney attraction can be a Haunted Mansion or Pirates of the Caribbean, and that’s okay. These “flops” – whether they were poorly received, outdated, or just plain weird – show that Disney is always willing to evolve and try new things. Some of these replacements have been massive successes, while others just didn’t cut it. Either way, it’s always interesting to look back at what was and speculate on what’s coming next. In the meantime, stay tuned to DFB for all the latest from Disney. Disney World just keeps changing, but that’s kinda the whole point — the parks and resorts are meant to grow and evolve. However, 2025 has been bringing more changes than EVER! In Disney’s Animal Kingdom, DinoLand, U.S.A. has started a phased closure so it can become Pueblo Esperanza. Even Disney World hotels are changing! Swan and Dolphin Hotel Magic Kingdom is getting both a Cars expansion AND a Villains Land. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is closing Muppets Courtyard to make way for a Monsters, Inc. land, while the Muppets will take over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. Well, now, we’ve got another big change to tell you about: a restaurant in Disney World has permanently closed and will soon become a new gaming experience. The restaurant in question is Picabu at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin. Picabu previously offered a taqueria, family meals, pizza, kid-friendly foods, grab-and-go snacks, and more. It is now permanently closed to make way for something new. Picabu The space will be converted into Lagoon Games, Lanes, & Eats, which is described as “an all-new, innovative game room experience” that will be exclusively located at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin. This space will offer “the perfect blend of excitement and entertainment, featuring the latest in interactive gaming, from thrilling new releases to timeless classics.” The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin also released some concept art for the space. ©Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin It also seems like the “lanes” part of Lagoon Games is referring to bowling lanes, as seen in more concept art released for the experience. ©Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin The gaming experience will also offer dining from 11 AM to 11 PM daily with “delectable dishes and refreshing drinks at Lagoon’s exclusive dining space.” The description promises a menu “designed to satisfy every palate, you can fuel your gaming experience with everything from gourmet snacks to mouthwatering meals.” The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin has not yet announced an opening date for Lagoon Games, Lanes, & Eats, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for that announcement and let you know. As Disney Food Blog writers, we’ve seen just about every piece of Disney merchandise out there, but even for us, this is one of the craziest items we’ve seen. Our nails are ALWAYS done! Also, as writers and theme park reporters, we pretty much always have our nails done for photos and videos (and therefore, it’s a business write-off, obviously). Listen, while we love themed nails as much as the next person, this new product takes things to the next level. Disney Shopping Japan, which is Japan’s version of the Disney Store, just released press-on nails for Disney characters and movies, and you need to see these. ©Disney First up is Winnie the Pooh, where there are whole nails inspired by Pooh and Piglet. There’s a pink plaid nail, and the other ones remind us of honey. ©Disney Next are these Zootopia nails! These have Judy and Nick’s ears on them and spring flowers. The ears look like direct images from the movie — cute or weird? You decide! ©Disney The next set is Bambi-themed but without Bambi himself! They have a Thumper and Miss Bunny nails and a big spring bouquet. We love how all of these nails are perfect for spring. ©Disney The last set is the most interesting. It’s Lady and the Tramp-inspired. Neither Lady nor the Tramp are on these nails, but instead, they are focused more on Tony’s, the Italian restaurant where they share that famous plate of spaghetti and meatballs. One nail even looks like it has a meatball design under Lady’s collar! OK… spaghetti and meatball nails? Now, THAT is interesting. You’re thinking outside the box, Disney, and we like it. ©Disney These nails are pretty unique and would be great for those spring pictures at Disney! Sadly, we can’t buy these in the U.S. (yet), but you KNOW we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for spaghetti and meatball nails to hit the States. A LOT is changing in Disney World in 2025. Now, we’re not even talking about the construction that’s started in Animal Kingdom or the construction that will start soon in Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. Blizzard Beach No, we’re talking about some big policy changes. One of the BIGGEST changes, though, is a new perk Disney just started offering to visitors staying at Disney World hotels. This perk gets you one free day at Disney World’s water parks on your arrival day. However, this new perk has started to create some BIG complications at those parks. Because people are getting to go to the water parks for free, well, they’re GOING to the water parks in numbers we may have never seen before. And although Disney provides transportation to and from the water parks from Disney World hotels, a lot of people are driving to the parks. And that’s where we run into a BIG problem. A lot of people are driving to the water parks We recently took a trip to Blizzard Beach, which reopened in late 2024 (Disney usually has only one of its two water parks open at any given time of the year). When we arrived, we were told that although Blizzard Beach itself might not reach full capacity, the parking lot reaches capacity fast, especially on weekends. This usually happens between noon and 1 PM. Now, that doesn’t mean you can’t visit the park, but it does mean you’re encouraged to park elsewhere or take a Disney bus or rideshare. Blizzard Beach parking lot If for some reason, you do still choose to drive to Blizzard Beach and the parking lot is full, you might be instructed to park at Animal Kingdom and take a shuttle bus from there to the water park instead. So if you DO choose to drive to the water parks, your best bet is to come very early or around 4 PM, when people are starting to leave (but that only gives you a few hours in the water park because it closes at 6 PM). Full parking lot at Blizzard Beach However, as we stated, this is more likely to happen on the weekends when more people are driving to the water parks. Your best bet is to take the bus from your hotel or use Uber or Lyft. Don’t want to go through all of the stress of booking your Disney World trip alone? Have you ever been to an exclusive Disney World event? Magic Kingdom at Night Well, guess what? Magic Kingdom After Hours are back! We thought we’d bring you along so you can get an idea of what this separately ticketed event has to offer. If you’re jumping at the chance to experience attractions with super low wait times, enjoy free snacks, and meet rare characters, then you’re seriously going to want to check out After Hours. All of those things are great, but undoubtedly one of THE best “perks” about events like this has to be the low crowd levels. Don’t believe me that there could be low crowds at Magic Kingdom? Well, let’s show you how busy Magic Kingdom is tonight! Disney World After Hours events are back at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios! These special ticketed events take place on select nights from January through July and allow guests to enter the parks at 7PM. Magic Kingdom After Hours At Magic Kingdom, the event officially kicks off at 10PM and ends at 1AM, which means that for four (blissful) hours, you and all the other After Hours guests will have the park all to yourselves. Ticket prices range from $175 to $185 plus tax, but Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members can get discounted tickets. Aren’t you excited?! As far as crowds go, there were low crowds all over the place! We met Mickey Mouse with a SUPER short line. Mickey Meet and Greet One can’t go to a Magic Kingdom After Hours and not meet the boss himself! Hey Mickey! After that, we headed on over to Tomorrowland, and would you look at all those crowds. Not a soul here Over at Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, there wasn’t any line to speak of. Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin There was absolutely no one at the PeopleMover. PeopleMover Space Mountain had one of the shortest wait times ever. Space Mountain No one to be found in front of the speedway. Tomorrowland Speedway If you love the teacups, this was your time to shine. Mad Tea Party Fantasyland was basically barren. Fantasyland You’d never see these wait times during the day. Peter Pan’s Flight Well, as they say, there’s always room for one more. Haunted Mansion There were no crowds to be seen in Liberty Square. Liberty Square There was basically no wait for Pirates. Pirates of the Caribbean And Frontierland as a whole was vacant. Frontierland There were so few people waiting on the Enchantment fireworks that they were sitting on the ground. Waiting for the Enchantment Fireworks Even Main Street was mighty empty. Main Street, U.S.A. So, if you are looking for a great way to avoid the crowds in Disney World, After Hours is likely your best option! There have been several reports of airplane incidents over the past few months, including engine fires and ground stops due to space launch debris. Now, another situation occurred at Disney World’s closest airport, Orlando International Airport (MCO). MCO According to CNN, a Southwest Airlines plane mistakenly tried to take off on the taxiway instead of the runway. The Boeing 737 was cleared for takeoff from Orlando Airport to Albany, New York, but the plane began to accelerate on a parallel taxiway instead of the proper runway. Air traffic control alerted the pilots, who stopped the plane, and there were no crashes or damage. Southwest The plane reached 70 knots, about 80 mph, before stopping. For takeoff, planes are usually traveling at around 150 mph, but on taxiways, they go about 35 mph. Southwest Airlines at the Orlando Airport Southwest is working with the FAA and NTBS (National Transportation Safety Board) “to understand the circumstances of the event.” Stay updated on everything that might affect your upcoming vacation by following Disney Food Blog. Here at DFB, our mission is to help provide information, tips, and news to you to make your Disney trips easier. Disney’s Hollywood Studios We will tell you what you actually need in your park bags, tell you which restaurants are a skip, and which Disney World hotels are the best. So when we found out about this Lightning Lane hack, I knew we had to share it, even if it was against my editor’s wishes. But she’s not here, so if you promise not to tell her, I will let you in on this BIG news. There’s a LOT to learn about Disney’s premium skip-the-ride-line service. So much so that we’ve created a completely detailed (and completely FREE) Lightning Lane guide to help keep it all organized and easy for you to keep track of. So what’s the scoop? There is a 3-hour grace period where you can scan into your Lightning Lanes EVEN if it’s already way past your return time window. Of course, we didn’t want to tell you about this secret before having tested it out ourselves first so we had a few of our DFB reporters test this one by purposely being late for their Lightning Lane return window. They learned that the maximum amount of time they were able to scan in and still get the “green light” of approval was 2 hours AFTER their Lightning Lane return window was supposed to have ended. Lightning Lane at Peter Pan’s Flight Next time when your Disney World app gives you a one-hour return window, just remember it’s more like a three-hour return window. In the past with Genie+, the grace period was only 15 minutes, so this 3-hour window was a BIG shock to us and we are not mad about this. Now, Disney could change this rule at any time, so we don’t suggest relying on it unless you really have to. For example, if your dining reservation runs later than intended, you get stuck in a line longer than anticipated, etc. Lightning Lane It’s nice to know that you’ve got a safety net to fall back on if you’re running behind schedule. April is quickly approaching, and that means your next trip to Disney World could be too! Spaceship Earth April can be a tricky time in Disney World for a number of reasons, but that’s no reason to panic about your upcoming trip! We here at DFB are experts and we have people in the parks every single day so you’re not caught off guard. If you’re heading to Disney World in April, these are the mistakes you may be inclined to make, but we’re here to warn you NOW so that won’t happen! Don’t Underestimate Spring Break Crowds April is when a lot of spring breaks fall for schools all around the country, and that means it’s important for you to expect them. Now, we’re not telling you to NOT go to Disney World during this time of year, because we understand that spring break is the only time many families can go, but you need to adjust your expectations before you step into the park. Magic Kingdom It’s going to be crowded. That’s very much a given, and it’s better if you go into your park days expecting to see higher wait times and larger crowds and then are pleasantly surprised, rather than the opposite. If you’re planning on buying Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Single Pass, you’ll also want to make sure you’re on top of making those reservations as soon as you can, because they’ll sell out quick! Believe The Heat! April is a strange time because it’s not too hot, but summer is on the way, so temperatures are heating up around in Disney World. When you’re traveling to the parks during this month, you’ll want to be sure you dress for warmer weather but also be sure you have a light cardigan or jacket with you, because inside restaurants or attractions can be chilly with that AC blasting! EPCOT Even more importantly: wear that sunscreen! Even if it doesn’t feel too hot or it’s cloudy, slather that sunscreen on and make sure you’re protected against the sun. The last thing you want is to get a sunburn and be uncomfortable for the rest of your trip. Trust us, we’ve been there, done that, and we don’t recommend. Don’t Forget That Certain Rides Are Closed April also means that certain rides are closed in Disney World, and it’s important you know about them ahead of time so you’re not caught off guard and disappointed that you can’t ride something! In April, you won’t be able to experience Big Thunder Mountain Railroad or Astro Orbiter in Magic Kingdom, TriceraTop Spin has officially been demolished in Animal Kingdom as part of the massive retheme to Pueblo Esperanza, and It’s Tough to Be A Bug is no more as well. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad However, it’s also important to remember that your Magic Kingdom and EPCOT rope drop strategies have likely changed, as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind both no longer have Virtual Queues. Both now have regular standby queues, or you can purchase a Lightning Lane Single Pass for Cosmic Rewind, and Tiana’s is included with Multi Pass (but it does book up fast!) Traveling to Disney World can be immensely stressful, yet exciting at the same time. We know there’s a lot to plan and figure out, but we’ll be here to make sure you’re as prepared as possible, so stay tuned to DFB! We had the chance to stop by this colorful little food truck in Disney World, and we’re happy we did! Here at DFB, we love to check things out and update you on all kinds of snacks to eat — I mean, it’s in our name! Cilantro Urban Eatery Food Truck Disney Springs in Disney World has so many food options to choose from. It can be overwhelming sometimes, so let us help you out — go to Cilantro Urban Eatery! The food item we got from there was SO GOOD, and we wanted to share our thoughts with you. At the Cilantro Urban Eatery food truck, we were enticed to try out this thing called the Burger-rrito. This is described as a signature Venezuelan-style burger in wrap, with angus beef, BLT, cheese, potato sticks, mustard, ketchup, chipotle mayo, and avocado mayo, wrapped and pressed in a flour tortilla. OK, that sounds very good. I mean, Burger and Burrito mix?! Sign us up! Cilantro Urban Eatery Menu This thing was TASTY! The burger meat itself tasted evenly salty and high-quality and was very well seasoned! The veggies are fresh and crisp, and we loved the extra crunchiness from the potato sticks. Burger-rrito We chose to opt out of the ketchup and mustard because we didn’t want it to feel too busy, plus we wanted to taste the chipotle and avocado mayo a little better. We’re glad we did because those flavors came out AMAZINGLY. The chipotle mayo had no kick to it; it was very very mild. Regardless, it was really tasty so we didn’t mind the weak chipotle flavor. YUM! The burrito is STUFFED with ingredients, and yet wasn’t soggy at all! The tortilla was soft and pleasantly toasted and warm. This is officially a meal we would go out of our way to get! It’s a unique fun twist on a burger/burrito — and not to sound like a broken record, but it’s delicious! Our one and only critique is we wish it came with a side of fries or chips. After all, it was $15. Get the Burger-rrito! WE KNOW – there are SO many great snacks at Disney World! How do you choose (we don’t want to choose but will blow our budget on Day 1 otherwise)? We’ve got you covered! We have reviewed nearly EVERY snack available at Disney World, and we’ve written a series of DFB Guides about them! Check out our DFB Guide to Walt Disney World Dining + Snacks Bundle for all the details you need to plan your snackin’ and spending. You can even download them to your smartphone – it’ll be like we’re right there with you in the parks! If it wasn’t made clear, we’d definitely get this again! So, next time you make your way to Disney Springs, give it a try! We’ll always be looking out for more snacks to review around Walt Disney World. It’s hard to believe we’ve lived without Test Track in EPCOT for almost a whole year, but here we are. Test Track Test Track closed back in June 2024 for a massive re-theme and isn’t scheduled to reopen until late summer 2025. So yep, that’s another full-year closure for a major ride (note that Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Magic Kingdom is also undergoing a massive year-long refurbishment). But why is Disney taking SO long to finish the Test Track re-theme? Well, we have a few ideas. Everything is Getting Gutted and Replaced Disney has not yet really shared a lot of details about the new version of Test Track except that it’s getting new show scenes to showcase technological advances and how our lifestyles and relationships to mobility connect everyone. The queue will also be getting six new exhibits. This suggests that the entirety of the ride interior and queue area has probably been demolished and is being re-done. That takes time. ©Disney The ride vehicles are also changing. Concept art suggests the new vehicles will be taking inspiration from the old World of Motion vehicles (this was the ride that existed in this space before Test Track). Disney Confirmed 6 BIG Additions for EPCOT’s Reimagined Test Track Attraction Completely New Exterior However, the OUTSIDE of the ride is also changing, so pretty much everything of the old Test Track is going away to make way for new things, inside and out. Again, this is going to take a lot of time to completely overhaul the ride. Here’s what the ride’s new exterior will look like. ©Disney That’s a BIG difference from the old entrance into the ride. There’s a new sign, new lighting, new everything. What Will the New Version of Test Track Be Like in Disney World? Of course, we’re just guessing here because Disney has been very tight-lipped about what the new Test Track will look like or how different it will be when it reopens later this year. It does seem that the refurbishment is a huge undertaking, though, and one that will take about a year to complete. Stay tuned to DFB for more. So it’s bound to happen when you fly on a plane, whether you’re going to Disney World or somewhere else. Yep, you’re going to have to use the bathroom. The urge happens and, well, you can’t do anything about it but listen to your body. Flying Southwest Now, it’s kinda a hassle to use those tiny little bathrooms because you first have to get out of your seat (and you can only do that if the “fasten seatbelt” sign above your seat is off). You might even have to get past other people if you’re not sitting on the aisle, and then you have to make your way to the closest facilities. Once you’re in there, though, there’s a very important rule you need to follow. There’s usually a sign on the toilet seat that tells you not to put things in there. So don’t do that, because, on one recent flight, people did…and it got…well, gross. Planning a trip to Disney World or Disneyland or even a Disney Cruise doesn’t have to be hard! Let the experts at Small World Vacations help you — it’s FREE! According to CNN, an Air India flight from Chicago to New Delhi recently had to return after hours into its trip because the bathroom toilets were clogged up. Yes, people were just shoving everything into the toilets, even though you’re not supposed to do that. A Southwest airplane’s interior. About one hour and 45 minutes into the flight, the crew were notified that some toilets on the plane were out of order. Later, it was determined that 8 out of the 12 toilets on the aircraft were “unserviceable” resulting in “discomfort to all on board.” An investigation revealed that “polythene bags, rags, and clothes,” as well as other items had been flushed down the toilets and were “stuck in the plumbing.” Premium Seating on ©Southwest Airlines The plane was then diverted back to Chicago, where passengers were provided with accommodations at local hotels and alternate flights. Perhaps what’s more shocking is that this isn’t the first time things have been found in Air India toilets. A spokesperson said that “blankets, innerwear, and diapers, among other waste, have been flushed down toilets on other flights.” Anyway, we wanted to reiterate that you should NEVER flush anything in aircraft toilets. There are indications that this is against the rules and if people continue to do that, you very well could not make it to your destination. Have you heard of SEA LIFE Florida at LEGOLAND? Prepare to be AMAZED! SEALIFE hard hat The team at LEGOLAND Florida Resort has some fantastic projects currently in development, and we want to tell you everything we saw. It honestly made us think we might need to become aquarists ourselves! Come with us for an under-construction sneak peek at SEA LIFE Florida. We just had the incredible privilege of visiting LEGOLAND Florida Resort for the SEA LIFE Florida Aquarium Hard Hat Tour Media Event! There are over 40 SEALIFE aquarium attractions around the world, and this new one in LEGOLAND is the most technologically advanced yet. Media Badge SEA LIFE at Legoland will have so many cool exhibits to check out — a freshwater swamp, seahorse nursery, coral reef, and a fun little area called Sting Ray Bay! There will even be an Ocean Tank, which will become home to three blacktip reef sharks — the stars of the aquarium. One of the sharks is coming all the way from Germany; talk about a long journey! SEA LIFE Florida SEA LIFE Florida will also feature an interactive touch pool with species you won’t find here in Florida, including sea anemone, abalone, snails, and sea stars. We cannot WAIT to explore all the new exhibits. SEALIFE at LEGOLAND But that’s not all! We learned that in the new interactive Jelly Invaders area, you will be able to CHANGE THE COLOR that the jellyfish are floating through, so it will appear like the jellyfish themselves are changing colors. How cool is that?! We learned a LOT! There will even be colorful caves where there will be glow-in-the-dark creatures. And, if you love octopi, you’ll find one living in Blackbeard’s ship (or what’s left of it — it’s more of a shipwreck!). Getting a look at the tanks OK, this might be our favorite news of the trip. So, as we mentioned, there will be a BIG ocean tank (we’re talking around 150,000 gallons of water). Inside this tank, SEALIFE Florida is creating a theme park-inspired design, complete with a haunted house section (!!!). In this part of the tank, the team revealed that they will use a substrate to make part of the tank appear darker, you know, to match the spooky theme. The idea for this tank came from the question, “What would fish do if they came to Florida?“ It’s a work in progress! SO many exciting things are coming to LEGOLAND Resort in Florida, and on tour, we were told, “SEA LIFE is just the beginning.” We even got a little teaser about something “super secret” happening at the back of the resort. Stay tuned for more details! We had a blast! Another fun thing coming to LEGOLAND is the Lego Festival, which starts on May 3rd. It will feature five interactive zones, and 49 all-new LEGO builds. ©LEGOLAND Florida If you’re traveling to LEGOLAND, be on the lookout for newly renovated hotel rooms coming to the LEGO Hotel featuring Ninjago and NEW Duplo themes. ©LEGOLAND We’re SO excited about everything that’s in development at LEGOLAND Resort!
