  1. Hello, we are DFB, and we LOVE food. Specifically, we love Disney food. And we have a lot of favorites, but beignets have to be near the top of that list. Mickey Beignets And because we love beignets so much, it’s vital for us to know exactly where to find these indulgent pastries. And because we love our readers just as much as we love our food, we are sharing that list with YOU! So, without further ado (though we think treats deserve ALL the pomp and circumstance), let’s dive into EVERY WHERE you can find beignets at Disney World! Pumpkin Spice Mickey Beignets Wait, WHAT are beignets, you ask? Oh, dear reader, let us introduce you to your new favorite breakfast item, dessert, and well, anytime snack! In a nutshell, beignets (pronounced ben-YAY) are little squares of dough, deep-fried to golden perfection and buried under a mountain of powdered sugar. They’re at their absolute finest when piping hot and paired with a steaming cup of coffee or a rich café au lait! New beignets? Count us in The cherished beignet has a history stretching back to the 17th century, with the roots of fried dough even reaching as far back as ancient Rome. These delightful treats are believed to have traveled with French settlers, making their way to Louisiana when these settlers established their homes there. While you can find beignets in various corners of the globe, they are most famously associated with the French Quarter. Their irresistible charm has sparked a trend, leading to beignet cafes popping up all over the place! Scat Cats Beignets Is your mouth watering yet? Are you itching to find out where to grab these little pockets of deep-fried bliss? Excellent, then we’ve done our job! Now, let’s get into where to find these little beauties. Because these treats have deep roots in New Orleans, you’ll likely find them at New Orleans or Cajun/Creole-themed locations and restaurants. So, here we go! Scat Cat Club Café and Lounge Scat Cat’s Club Cafe at Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter is dedicated to serving up a unique-to-the-Resort favorite: Beignets! For a long time, guests at Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter could find the Resort’s beloved Beignets inside the food court, Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory. However, a renovation delivered a way for guests to grab some Beignets without lining up in the food court when Scat’s Cat Club transformed into Scat Cat’s Club Café and the neighboring Scat Cat’s Club Lounge! Baton Rouge Beignets Mickey Beignets are available from early morning well into the late evening. Look for seasonal flavors (such as Gingerbread around the holidays) and the now-famous boozy Baton Rouge Beignets, which are filled with your choice of Bailey’s, Kahlua, or RumChata for guests 21 and over! Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie Tucked into the back of EPCOT’s France pavilion is a charming bakery that is packed with truly tasty treats, both sweet and savory. Les Halles Beignet And because of its French origin, you can find Beignets at this spot in EPCOT, too. Sometimes you’ll find the classic beignets, but sometimes you’ll find specialty ones, filled with chocolate and hazelnut spread or other fruit or custard fillings. Grab plenty of napkins, you’ll need them! France Booth for EPCOT Festivals Now, this isn’t a guarantee, but in the past, we’ve seen various beignet-inspired options at the France booth for a few different festivals. Beignet aux Trois Fromages: Warm Beignet filled with Three Cheese Blend We’ve seen the Beignet aux Trois Fromages during the Food & Wine Festival, as well as the Beignet Caramelise during the Flower & Garden Festival. So though these menus get updated and change up for every festival, if you’re visiting during a Festival, stop by to see if you spy any beignet-inspired treats on the menu! Golden Oak Outpost Now that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has taken over Splash Mountain, some of her delicious recipes have popped up in Magic Kingdom, too. Including her “man-catchin’ beignets!” Golden Oak Outpost is located in Frontierland steps away from Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and offers up a variety of hearty quick-service offerings. On the menu here are Tiana’s Famous Beignets — light, sweet, and fluffy beignets with powdered sugar and drizzled with honey. BEIGNETS! You’ll want to keep an eye out, because even though the Golden Oak Outpost doesn’t offer a huge menu, you’ll often find some unique snacks that you can’t find elsewhere in the parks. Friar’s Nook The Friar’s Nook in Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland is a hidden gem of a counter service location tucked within view of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train! The Friar’s Nook menu changes If you have a hankerin’ for Tiana’s Famous Beignets, Golden Oak Outpost isn’t your only stop. Friar’s Nook also carries these treats. Make Your Own! If you can’t make it to Disney World, or perhaps you have a vacation home and access to a full kitchen, you can always make Disney beignets yourself! Yummy! We’ve got you covered with a recipe to make Tiana’s Famous Beignets and even how to make those classic Mickey Mouse Beignets! 2. We are SO ready for the Disney Treasure to set sail! Aren’t you?! ©Disney Listen, we’re stoked about this brand-new ship that’s coming to the Disney Cruise Line fleet. We just can’t wait to experience everything like the Haunted Mansion Parlor, Jungle Cruise-inspired bar, and Aristocats-themed lounge just to name a few. But before we go and get too excited, we’ve got to talk about booking our trip so that we can make sure we’ll be able to book the stateroom we want. To that point, let’s break down which staterooms are selling out the fastest on the Disney Treasure so you don’t miss out! Just in case you didn’t know, aboard the Disney Treasure there are four (4) stateroom types: Inside, Oceanview, Verandah, and Concierge (they go from least expensive to most expensive in that order), ©Disney During its inaugural season, the Treasure will offer seven-night sailings (7) to the Eastern and Western Caribbean. There are stops at Castaway Cay starting on December 21st, 2024. Bookings are available now through early 2026. ©Disney Now, we’ve taken the time to dive into each and every one of the itineraries currently listed so that we can give you a heads-up on which staterooms are selling out the fastest and on which particular dates. ©Disney As we said earlier, there are currently sailings starting on December 21st, 2024 all the way through June 6th, 2026. We found 11 dates (as of right now) that have staterooms that are sold out. Here they are and which staterooms are unavailable: December 21 – 28, 2024 (Inside and Oceanview — Sold out) January 11 – 18, 2025 (Inside, Verandah, and Concierge — Sold out) January 25 – February 1, 2025 (Inside — Sold out) February 1 – 8, 2025 (Concierge — Sold out) February 15 – 22, 2025 (Verandah and Concierge — Sold out) February 22 – March 1, 2025 (Concierge — Sold out) March 1 – 8, 2025 (Concierge — Sold out) April 26 – May 3, 2025 (Concierge — Sold out) May 17 – 24, 2025 (Inside and Oceanview — Sold out) May 31 – June 7, 2025 (Concierge — Sold out) June 7 – 14, 2025 (Concierge — Sold out) September 6 – 13, 2025 (Inside — Sold out) At the moment, that means that the “Concierge” staterooms are the fastest to sell out on the Treasure since there are 8 sailings where they are sold out. The next fastest to sell out are the “Inside” staterooms with 5 total itineraries sold out. Concierge Verandah. ©Disney As always, if you’re looking to book a sailing, we recommend doing so as soon as possible and it doesn’t hurt booking out as far as you can as well. 3. On your marks, get set, runDisney! runDisney merch You can take part in numerous runDisney events throughout the year, but right now we are gearing up for the next race weekend, the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend which is coming up in just a few months. Ahead of the event, we just got a sneak peek at the medals that will be given out to finishers! We got a sneak peek at the medals for the 2024 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend, and we think we might just be in love! The Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend is taking place from October 31st through November 3rd, 2024. The weekend consists of three different races: a 5K, a 10K, and a half marathon. ©Disney Unfortunately, all of the races are currently sold out, but you can also participate in the festivities by purchasing a ticket to the post-race party which is held in EPCOT (no medals included though). If you are participating in the races, or just like looking at shiny things, we have a sneak peek at this year’s medals for you! ©Disney Starting off with the medal for the 5K race featuring the Swedish Chef. There will be lots of Muppet-y fun to be had during the 3.1-mile race and the cherry on top is that you get to celebrate with this medal. ©Disney Next up is the 10K medal featuring Tiana! This medal is gorgeous and we are already feeling hungry just looking at the plate of beignets she is carrying. This medal will help celebrate the completion of a 6.2-mile race in style. ©Disney The half marathon race is going to be hosted by Chef Remy and Linguini, and the medal is the perfect way to celebrate the completion of this 13.1-mile race. Chef Remy is front and center on this medal and we think it is absolutely adorable! Plus, this year celebrates 15 years of the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend. ©Disney The last medal that is available during the weekend is this two course challenge medal. This medal can be earned by completing BOTH the 10K and half marathon race. You will be able to celebrate with Tiana, Remy, and Mickey Mouse with this special spinning finisher medal. The two course challenge means you have run a total of 19.3-miles! ©Disney We are loving the medals for this year’s event and we are cheering on everyone who is running in the races. 5. We have some AMAZING fry news to share with you today from EPCOT! Regal Eagle Smokehouse There is lots and lots of great food in EPCOT. Here at DFB, we love the School Bread, the Caramel Butter Bar, and Pretzel Bread Pudding, just to name a few. However, there is also another item that we love but has been missing for a bit. While we were in EPCOT today we saw that one of our favorites has returned! The Loaded Burnt End Fries are back at Regal Eagle Smokehouse! They are back! Before we get WAY too excited about this discovery, we did speak with a Cast Member who said that the Loaded Burnt End Fries will continue to be a limited offering and there are no guarantees it will be available. The dish will not appear on Mobile Order, so the only way to know if it is available is to walk inside and wait in line at the register. You will be able to see a placard if the fries are available that day. Loaded Burnt End Fries Of course we had to grab some of our beloved Loaded Burnt End Fries, you know, for science. Plus, we have to see if they are as good as we remember them! Loaded Burnt End Fries You can grab these Loaded Burnt End Fries for $12.99. They are seasoned French fries with burnt ends, macaroni & cheese, and beer-battered onion rings. Right out of the gate, we were pleasantly surprised to see that the dish is more visually appealing than before! Even before digging in we were drooling a bit, not gonna lie. It is a good portion of food and as you can see, there is quite a bit going on in this dish. Loaded Burnt End Fries Now onto the taste! The mac & cheese was delicious and creamy. We love this mac & cheese and it was great in this dish too. We thought the green onions added a great freshness to the dish, plus they look pretty on top. The fries have LOTS of seasoning on them and it actually works really well. We would say the seasoning tastes like seasoning salt with paprika in it. However, the onion rings were a bit on the greasy side and some of ours were fried together which made for a mega onion ring. We have been waiting for this moment! Last but not least, the burnt ends. We thought the burnt ends tasted even better than before. The meat was chewy with a bit of tenderness, and was rich and full of great BBQ flavor. We had a couple of pieces that were too crunchy to eat and a few that were more fatty, but overall, we thought the burnt ends were even better this time. This dish is definitely on the heavier side so plan accordingly. It may not be the best option for lunch in the middle of the day when you have a whole park day ahead of you. But, it is definitely tasty! Regal Eagle Smokehouse As a reminder, you may not be able to get your hands on the Loaded Burnt End Fries all the time. They will only be a limited offering, but if you do see them while you are at Regal Eagle Smokehouse, we think you are in for a real treat. 6. Okay, we are getting impatient. We need EPCOT Food & Wine Festival news NOW! It’s almost festival time! We’ll have to admit that it’s making us even more impatient having to wait a little longer for the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival to begin this year (soon, SO soon, though). We’re also curious as to how CommuniCore Hall and Plaza will be used during the festival (as Disney did previously say these were intended as festival spaces). We also NEED TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THE FOOD. Seriously, we are ready to see some menus! However, we just noticed a clue that more EPCOT Food & Wine Festival news could be coming soon! This year’s EPCOT Food and Wine Festival runs from August 29th through November 23rd, 2024. So far, we still don’t have any menus for the festival, nor do we have any information that food demonstrations and seminars might return (something we haven’t seen since 2019 at the festival). Mexico Booth Spread from 2023 But we did notice that Disney DID recently update its EPCOT Food & Wine Festival website, suggesting we’ll be getting some big news about the festival soon. We did click on a link to see the festival marketplaces (aka the food booths), but that information has not been added yet. Could it be added soon, though? ©Disney There’s also some information about the Eat to the Beat Concert Series, but we’ve already seen a full lineup of the concerts that will be coming to this year’s festival. The website also mentions the return of Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit for the Halloween season, as well as Emile’s Frontage Montage (the cheese crawl), and Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak (the scavenger hunt). Remy’s Hide & Squeak 2023 There will be merchandise — OF COURSE, including collections with the festival logo, Remy, and Mickey! Another NEW thing we noticed, though, is what the Mini Festival Gift Cards will look like this year. These little gift cards can be worn on the wrist for easy paying at food booths. ©Disney That’s really all that’s been added to the page, but the update HAS to be Disney getting ready to release more details about this year’s festival (and AGAIN, we need to see those food booth menus!). We’ll be keeping an eye out for ANYTHING Disney happens to announce or reveal about this year’s festival, so stay tuned to DFB for more. We’ve Gotta Share Some BAD NEWS About the 2024 EPCOT Food &Wine Festival IT'S WINE & DINE TIME! Food & Wine Festival can be a bummer. 9. Listen — we’re just gonna come out and say it. Compromising some of the classic Disney World snacks to construct a brand new version of them or an entirely new snack of their own is either a stroke of genius or pure delusion… and sometimes both are the case! POWERADE Mountain Berry Blast Float We’ve eaten our way across Disney World’s snacks time and time again only to find ourselves a bit bored after a while (blasphemy — we know). But, once you get past the initial shock over our insane itch to create something different and exciting you’ll either thank us or call us unhinged and we’re ok with either! Working at Disney Food Blog and being in Disney World ever day certainly has its perks. Not only are we always surrounded by the wonder of the theme parks and hotels, but it gives us a fairly unique opportunity. Before long we’ve committed full restaurants, snack carts, and limited-time menus to memory and then we get our gears turning. Delicious! It’s not super often but on occasion seeing the same menu items over and over again can become well… a little boring to us. So, we’ve found our own spice to life and came up with a few ways that make eating certain things and even carrying our snacks around Disney World sooo much easier and enjoyable! Some might call them unhinged, but we say, don’t knock ’em until you’ve tried ’em — let’s take a look at a few that have topped our list. Onion BBQ Fries This is one that we’re not totally certain why it didn’t come to us before but when it did come together, was a total game changer to our fries! Snack hack for under $5! By ordering a side of french fries, drizzling barbecue sauce over top of them from the self service pump to add as much or as little as you want AND requesting a side of chopped onions to sprinkle over top of them you’ve just built yourself some new fancy fries. We’ve tried this hack at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe in the past and it’s proven to be a genius choice time and time again. Plastic Cheese + Our Beloved Hushpuppies This unhinged snack hack combines to our of most cherished snacks in all of Disney World. But we’re warning, this one might be too much flavored yumminess for one undertaking… unless you feel like you’re up to the challenge! Hushpuppies Hear us out, feel free to dunk, dip, or smother the hushpuppies from Columbia Harbour House in a side of cheese sauce in whatever capacity you feel like on that given instance. And for variety, use this hack over and over again with a different method and see if you form a preference! Plastic Cheese + *checks notes* CHICKEN? It makes sense when you think about it! We cover chicken tender and chicken nuggets in OTHER types of cheese, so it stands to reason that when we combine our love for the chicken nuggs and the chicken tendies its AMPLIFIED by the addition of the warmth of the melted plastic cheese sauce. Loaded Chicken Strips We get it — this hack won’t be for everyone so your mileage may vary, but, we’re BEGGING you to try it out just once! If You’re A French Fry & Ice Cream Aficionado There’s just some bizarre food combinations that sound like they shouldn’t go together and will blow your minds the first time you try them. We’re totally standing by the notion that french fries and ice cream should come hand in hand all the time. Disney Fries at Casey’s Corner Buuuut, since the the rest of the world hasn’t totally caught up to our food science just yet, we have to catch you up to speed. If you’re strolling down Main Street U.S.A. and find yourself looking for something to snack on, we suggest a side of fries from Casey’s Corner and a scoop (or two) of ice cream from the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. Pumpkin Ice Cream Listen, a lot of our hacks involve new takes on french fries so this should come as a surprise to no one, but when you’re able to be the boss and choose your own ice cream flavor to scoop your crispy french fries into your taste buds will be screaming with excitement! You Can Add Crab To WHAT? WHERE? This one you’ll technically have to leave Disney World’s parks for but you won’t have to go far. Crabmeat fans have ANOTHER reason to rejoice when they find out they can combine their favorite seafood with an authentic Hispanic flair (boy, we never thought we’d see the day when we combined those two in print). Rosa Mexicano Rosa Mexicano is one of our best kept secret restaurants in Disney World since it resides at the Dolphin Resort. If you’re ever in a mood to spice things up with their table side guac, just know you CAN add lobster to it! How Do We Carry It All? We’re really peeling back the curtains here. While its always our goal to eat every snack we purchase in Disney World sometimes we spot something we want to take home to our kids, our spouses, or just save for later because we’re completely stuffed. Tupperware Set It’s probably unconventional, but we’re not above bringing baggies and small Tupperware containers into the park with us to save our left overs or spare snacks. This works especially well for messy snacks like caramel apples and fudge, that we’d otherwise have a terrible time trying to keep off of the rest of our belonging and fit the comfortably in our bags while we complete our day in the parks. It’s a win win all around and we’re not letting even the tiniest bite go to waste! And while we’re on the subject — who says these things are JUST for popcorn? Munchling Donald Duck popcorn bucket If you spot us running around with corn dog nuggs in our popcorn buckets, no you didn’t (or come join us, it’s great on this side of the snack hack)! So there you have them! These are our most genius hacks we’ve uncovered when snacking around Disney World. So now we’re curious… which one are you planning to try first? We’re always talking about the food, snacks, and treats around Disney World so be sure to stay tuned with us for all the latest! 10. I have a recipe for inspiration to share with you: Take a pinch of passion, a dash of opportunity and a sprinkle of Disney pixie dust. Mix in behind-the-scenes insights and a lot of fun. This makes four days worth of magical memories for two dozen lucky culinary fans! This recipe came to life last week when Walt Disney World Resort, Visit Orlando, New Orleans & Company and Southwest Airlines came together to select 24 young women – all of whom are aspiring chefs – from non-profit organizations and programs out of New Orleans, Louisiana to Orlando, Florida for a trip at The Most Magical Place On Earth. They followed in the footsteps of Princess Tiana from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “The Princess and the Frog”, whose story drew inspiration from the impactful life of NOLA restauranteur Leah Chase, on a journey from the bayou into the heart of Walt Disney World. The future culinarians were invited to savor all Walt Disney World has to offer with fine dining and fun in all four theme parks and across the Disney Resort hotels, including a special tour of Victoria & Albert’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. They were also invited into the kitchen themselves to learn from Disney chefs across the world-class culinary teams at the resort! Attendees visited the MICHELIN star-winning Victoria & Albert’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and got to learn side-by-side with world-class Disney culinarians. “I love this trip, it’s been so amazing,” said 19-year-old Dailayah Ernest from Warren Easton High School. “[This experience] will help me find the right spot for me. I also hope this inspires other women and little girls to follow their dreams, because good things happen to people who follow their dreams!” Paving the way for the next generation of dreamers, doers, movers and makers is part of the DNA of Disney, and for the culinary team hosting this group of aspiring chefs, it was a full-circle moment of inspiration. One of the visiting aspiring chefs showcases a dish to her fellow tripmates and members of the Disney culinary team. The group visited Princess Tiana in her new attraction, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, for a thrilling good time. The group dropped on in to say hello to Princess Tiana, Louis, and all the critters of the bayou at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. As the group returns home to New Orleans, we hope they take with them a little extra special spice – inspiration for their culinary careers, encouragement to dream big, and, as Tiana says, “never, ever lose sight of what’s really important!” The post Aspiring Culinarians Visit Walt Disney World for That Special Spice appeared first on Disney Parks Blog. 13. If you grew up watching Disney Channel sitcom shows in the 90s and 2000s, chances are you were glued to the TV for hours at a time. ©Disney While we look back fondly over those nostalgic years and even dedicate whole after-hours events at Disneyland themed to them, there is just one thing that frustrates us — a strict cancellation rule marking the end of the show from its very beginning. If you grew up with either One Saturday Morning cartoons on ABC or Disney Channel sitcoms, you most likely participated in a calculated exercise from Disney. You see, during this decade of TV show time slots, there was a roughly 4-hour window of shows that ran almost back to back of each other. This is where shows like Pepper Ann, Lilo & Stitch: The Series, Even Stevens, House of Mouse, and Lizzie McGuire would typically show up (and conveniently just after we all got home from school). ©Disney What y0u probably didn’t realize unless you were keeping very good count on them (and who had time for that when we were all suckered into the plots of the shows), is that each of these shows had a particular number in common — 65. According to Entertainment Weekly, this number signaled the end of the series and an almost unspoken cancellation once it was hit. ©Disney The specific math behind the reason for the magical number has to do with a seasonal rotation of shows. If Disney Channel kept four of these shows in a seasonal rotation for around 13 weeks at a time the number they would eventually all reach was 65. This meant that the main story of the show was expected to be wrapped up by the the time the show reached this number (whether we as an audience liked it or not). Unfortunately, all of the shows we previously mentioned fell victim to this magical number even when faced with immense popularity. ©Cast of ‘Even Stevens’. EVERETT COLLECTION However, there were a few that were able to escape this fate like Lizzie McGuire and Even Stevens who’s true ending were wrapped up in either made-for-TV or theatrical releases giving us a more definitive ending to their respective runs. Sing to us, Paolo, sigh! Hilary Duff and Adam Lamberg ©Disney Now that we’ve laid that hard fact on you super thick and probably just jolted your entire childhood after-school memories making you question everything, you’re probably left wondering if the 65 episode rule is still in effect today. The short answer to that is no, thanks to one groundbreaking show — That’s So Raven! ©Raven-Symone, Anneliese Van Der Pol, Orlando Brown. TONY RIVETTI/DISNEY CHANNEL/EVERETT COLLECTION Yep, our future-seeing teenage friend “just trying to stay outta trouble but somehow always getting herself deeper in the process” was the one to break the mold. As popular as the other shows were, they just simple didn’t hold a candle to Raven Baxter played by Raven-Symoné and her two best friends. Eventually, Disney couldn’t deny the huge outpouring of support the show had backing it and when the 65 episode mark was reached, That’ So Raven said ‘watch this’ and Disney Channel’s hand was force to renew them for a 4th season. ©Anneliese van der Pol, Orlando Brown, and Raven-Symoné on ‘That’s So Raven’. ABC PHOTO ARCHIVES/DISNEY GENERAL ENTERTAINMENT CONTENT VIA GETTY That’s So Raven’s popularity couldn’t have come at a better time thought because its run helped merge the gap between shows like Lizzie McGuire ending and usher in the beginning of what felt like the dawn of the next generation with shows like The Suite Life Of Zack & Cody and the rise of Hannah Montana. After all was said and done, That’s So Raven completed a whopping 100 episodes making it the first in Disney Channel history. The first cartoon series to break past the 65 episode threshold was unsurprisingly Kim Possible. Kim Possible and Rob Stoppable These historic shows paved the way for future generations to enjoy their shows longer than the 65 episode rule that reigned before. Since then, Disney fans and generations have enjoyed shows like Wizards of Waverly Place and Phineas and Ferb which both ran well past 100 episode each and are already working on revival series respectively. Today, Disney Channel shows and cartoons are allowed to order more seasons for shows as the demand for them warrants and just because a show is granted a feature-length film, that doesn’t necessarily mark its demise on the showfront! 14. HUGE changes recently rolled out at Disney World and we’re working on getting the hang of them! Cinderella Castle Genie+ has officially been renamed to Lightning Lane Multi Pass (and Individual Lightning Lanes are now Lightning Lane Single Pass)! We tested the system on the day it debuted and are still running some more experiments — and in doing so may have discovered a pretty sweet hack! Genie+ is no more, and Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass have officially rolled out at Disney World. And, while we do have pretty positive thoughts on the new system, we do think it’s going to take a bit of time to get used to — just like the original Genie+. But — we may have discovered the ultimate ride hack! Lightning Lanes! To catch you up on the changes, as of July 24th, Disney World has officially switched over to Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Passes. Under the new system, you can: Make Lightning Lane plans BEFORE you’re in the parks Choose experiences and times prior to purchasing so you know what you’re getting with your purchase Book Lightning Lane passes for MULTIPLE vacation days, all at once CHANGES are HERE! You see, Disney World’s more popular rides only allow you to use a Virtual Queue or Lightning Lane Single Pass to ride — meaning you’ll have to try your luck at snagging a VQ spot or pay to ride the attraction. We decided to see what would happen if we booked both, so we purchased a Lightning Lane Single Pass, and were also able to get a spot in the VQ for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT. But, something interesting happened. ©Disney The Lightning Lane Single Pass we purchased was able to be redeemed between 9AM and 10AM — but the Virtual Queue boarding group we were placed in had an estimated callback time of 9:16AM. This was right in the middle of our Lightning Lane return time! In the past, the Genie+ system hasn’t allowed for overlapping plans like this, but it seems that has changed. ©Disney We were able to scan into our Lightning Lane and ride just fine, and then turned right around to scan in for our VQ! All in all, it took about an hour total to ride Cosmic Rewind back-to-back like this. If you’re trying to take advantage of multiple rides on one attraction like this, keep this in mind! ©Disney Genie+ is now called Lightning Lane Multi Pass. This is an optional, PAID service available on the My Disney Experience app. Lightning Lane Multi Pass users are able to bypass standby lines and utilize the Lightning Lane (previously known as the FastPass line) at select attractions in the parks by paying a single fee for multiple attractions. When purchasing Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you can make up to THREE Lightning Lane Multi Pass selections in a park ahead of your visit. Additionally, you must choose from a list of available times as you make your attraction selections, and you can continue to hold up to three Lighting Lane Multi Pass selections at a time. Tap Point for Lightning Lane entrance for Cosmic Rewind With Lightning Lane Single Pass, you can pay a fee to utilize the Lightning Lane for an individual, in-demand attraction. The only major change here is that you can make your purchase before your trip in order to plan in advance! Just like the Multi Pass, you can select your first THREE Lightning Lane Single Passes up to seven days in advance if you’re staying at a Disney World hotel. All other guests can purchase and select their first three Lightning Lane Single Passes three days in advance. Lightning Lanes! We’re running a number of experiments with the new Lightning Lane Multi Pass system to answer ALL of your questions. Don’t want to miss a thing?
