Do you want to build a snowman? “Let it go!” Construction on the Disneyland Paris Resort’s new Frozen area is moving full speed ahead. Recently, thanks to Mother Nature, the construction site was gifted with a weather event that even Disney Imagineering couldn’t create. In an Instagram post containing snaps of the storm, the park wrote, “First snow of the season means the first snow at the construction site of World of Frozen, opening in 2026 at @disneylandparis! “ @DisneylandParis Instagram Paris’s World of Frozen is being built as part of a massive reimagining of the much-maligned Walt Disney Studios Park. The land — which will be similar to its counterparts in Hong Kong and Tokyo and feature a version of Frozen Ever After — is scheduled to open in 2026 as one of several major additions including a Lion King land, several more new areas, and additions to the existing Avengers Campus. All these additions will culminate in the park being renamed Disney Adventure World. World of Frozen, a land themed to Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Frozen” will open alongside the debut of the park’s new name, Disney Adventure World, in 2026. The new World of Frozen at Disneyland Paris got a dusting of real-life snow recently, leading to some images where fantasy truly met reality. Disney World may be known as the Most Magical Place on Earth, but that doesn’t mean it’s all magic, all the time. Cinderella Castle In fact, things go wrong at the Disney parks probably more often than you realize — they’re just really, really good at fixing any problems in a relatively quick manner. And today, folks hoping to enjoy all that Magic Kingdom has to offer are realizing just how often things can go wrong! Heads up if you’re currently at or plan on heading to Magic Kingdom today — an entire land is currently closed off to visitors. We were taking a stroll around Magic Kingdom and when we got to the entrance of Frontierland, we noticed Cast Members stationed out front advising people they’d have to wait a bit to enter the area. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad We couldn’t see anything too obvious from where we were standing, so we went to speak with a Cast Member. They couldn’t tell us much — or anything official — but they did say that the area was closed due to “technical difficulties” and that it would reopen as soon as possible. When we checked the My Disney Experience app for attraction closures in this area, the only one that was officially listed as closed on the app was the Country Bear Musical Jamboree. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure both showed as still being open on the app. Closed We asked a Cast Member about this as well, and they confirmed that technically, Country Bears was the only attraction closed. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure were both still accessible via the bridge from Adventureland and available to ride. So, it seems for now the situation is centralized to the old western town section of Frontierland. UPDATE: As of 3:32PM, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is now closed as well. Celebrate the release of Moana 2 with a NEW Disney Park snack! Award Wieners Moana 2 is already a big hit in theaters but its popularity hasn’t been limited to just the movie screen. Moana-mania has even made its way to the Disney Parks, with special character updates, movie-themed souvenirs, and even limited-time snacks. In fact, we headed over to Disney California Adventure to try the new Moana 2–themed hot dog! The brand-new Wayfinder Dog is a limited-time Moana 2 hot dog that can be found at Disney California Adventure’s Award Weiners hot dog stand in Hollywood Land. This seasonal offering is available now through January 7th, 2025. Wayfinder Dog The hot dog is made with sweet and spicy pulled pork with fiery tropical chutney on a toasted bun. It’s a monster of a hot dog and the kind you’d be forgiven for eating with a fork and knife. The Wayfinder Dog is served with your choice of Cuties Mandarin Oranges or Filmstrip Fries and we opted for the fries in our review. ©Disney You can purchase this hot dog at the Award Wieners window or via mobile order on the Disneyland app and it will set you back a whopping $15.79. So is this nearly $16 snack worth its high asking price? We were SHOCKED by the answer! This hot dog is a little intimidating The Wayfinder Dog is pretty scary on first look. This thing is messy and huge, which isn’t always a great combination for a handheld snack like hot dogs. However, we’re happy to say that the Wayfinder Dog was surprisingly very good! The heat levels were consistently spicy but never too hot. This bad boy has a consistent kick that never lets up, but if you can handle moderate heat you might be able to handle this hot dog. We got TONS of tropical island flavors in every bite and felt the hot dog had a fantastically balanced sweet and savory flavor profile. The chutney was deliciously sweet with a nice little kick and the hot dog was cooked nicely, as well. There’s a lot of deliciousness happening here The pulled pork is the star here and is generously coated in sauce. Packed with flavor, including a hint of barbecue, the meat was very juicy and seasoned well to amplify everything you’re tasting. The added pineapple was also such a great touch! It provided a nice citrusy/tropical flavor that complimented the rest of the hot dog wonderfully. The fries were also super solid. They’re standard Award Wieners Filmstrip Fries that are thick, plentiful, and reliably tasty. We’re big fans of these flavors There are some small problems with this dish, however. The bread the hot dog came in wasn’t as crispy as we would’ve liked and it got soggy fast. It does soak up the flavors well, but that also compromises its structural integrity. It’s also topped with pork rinds that didn’t really add anything to the hot dog. The price is also hard to swallow. Without a Magic Key discount, the regular hot dog price of $15.79 for a hot dog and some fries or mandarin oranges is still steep. With all that said, we still think this is a very good hot dog and worth a try! The Wayfinder Dog is expensive, but it is super hearty and filling while offering some really great tropical flavors for anyone who can handle a little heat! Award Wieners in California Adventure The Wayfinder Dog joins several other special Moana 2 limited-time snacks coming to the Disneyland Resort this holiday season! Staying in Disney California Adventure, Schmoozies! is offering a Tropical Slushy made with pineapple, orange juice, grenadine, and coconut milk slushy topped with whipped cream and shredded coconut. ©Disney Meanwhile, Studio Catering Co. and Hollywood Lounge are offering a new Boat Snacks Burrito. This dish comes with Kālua-style Pork with spiced ham and egg fried rice, spicy cabbage slaw, and charred pineapple served with Hawaiian mac salad. ©Disney Hopping over to Disneyland Park, River Belle Terrace is serving Coconut-Macadamia Pancakes made with short stack pancakes with coconut cream, toasted macadamia nuts, and tropical fruit. ©Disney River Belle Terrace is also offering the Hamburger Steak & Eggs, which comes with spiced ham, fried rice, eggs, and mushroom gravy. ©Disney Finally, Bengal Barbecue is serving up a Grilled Shrimp Skewer with sausage and pineapple topped with coconut vinaigrette. ©Disney All Moana 2-themed treats are available until January 7th, 2025. There’s nothing quite like spending the holidays at the Disney parks and hotels. Snow on Sleeping Beauty Castle You get to experience special holiday eats and treats, characters, entertainment, ride overlays, and so much more. Plus, it’s hard to NOT be in a good mood when you’re walking around and taking in all the sights, sounds, and smells of Disney during the holidays — and it looks like a new hotel has joined in on the fun this year! Pixar Place Hotel is the result of a transformation of what was previously Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel. Pixar Place Hotel officially made its fully transformed debut on January 30th, 2024 — and this is the hotel’s very first holiday season as Pixar Place so they’re all decked out to celebrate! We stopped by to see how the hotel was decorated — including plenty of Christmas trees at the entrance. Pixar Place Hotel Luxo Jr. was looking particularly festive all lit up in a Christmas glow with decorations as far as the eyes could see! Luxo Jr! In the lobby, there’s plenty of seating — and even some that’s been taken over by Christmas trees! It looks pretty dang cozy over here if you ask us. Plenty of Christmas Trees You’ll also notice there’s plenty of garland up around the lobby that features different Pixar characters and references… Garland …along with plenty of Pixar-themed ornaments all over the Christmas trees. Pixar trees The decor continues outside with these fun bubble-esque Christmas trees as well. Pixar Place Hotel is certainly looking ready for the holidays! How fun! Deadpool & Wolverine took the world by storm when it was released over the summer, quickly breaking records and becoming a global hit. Deadpool and Wolverine at Disney California Adventure We’ve even seen Deadpool and Wolverine pop up in a pretty unlikely place — Disneyland Resort! The two heroes have been telling stories at Disney California Adventure, and if you know anything about Deadpool, it’s probably that he’s not exactly kid-friendly and even pokes fun at Disney and Mickey Mouse himself. But, as it turns out, there was one joke in the original Deadpool & Wolverine script that was SO vulgar, Disney forced writers to cut it altogether. Deadpool & Wolverine was a box office hit this summer, and the film was full of jokes about the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the personal lives of the actors, and yes — even Disney. But, according to Variety, there was one joke that Disney asked Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds to keep out of the final script. ©Disney Ahead of the film’s release, Reynolds shared in interviews that one Deadpool joke was left out of the movie — but he hadn’t confirmed what that joke was. Now that the original script has been released by Disney, we officially know what the House of Mouse was trying to avoid in the final movie, and we can’t really say we blame them (although it is a pretty funny gibe if you ask us!). ©Marvel Fair warning if you haven’t seen the movie — SPOILERS AHEAD! Don’t say we didn’t warn you. Okay, the line is from the moment after Deadpool learns that Magneto is already dead, so he breaks the fourth wall out of anger and shouts, “F—! What we can’t even afford one more X-Man? Disney is so cheap. I can barely breathe with all this Mickey Mouse c— in my throat.” Deadpool telling stories But, ultimately, the line that replaced this one was only slightly less vulgar. In a prior interview with Entertainment Weekly, the film’s director, Shawn Levy, said: “There was only one line in the entire movie that we were asked to change,” he said. “We have made a pact, Ryan and I, to go to our grave with that line, but I will say that it was replaced with an equally dirty line of dialogue about Pinocchio shoving his face up Deadpool’s a– and starting to lie like crazy. I was like, ‘Ryan, that’s your replacement line in response to, ‘Can we clean it up?’ That’s Ryan Reynolds for you, audacious to the very edge.” It looks like Levy and Reynolds won’t get to take this one to the grave after all since the official script has been released with the original joke still in it. Deadpool & Wolverine We’re honestly shocked Disney let the Deadpool & Wolverine writers get away with as much as they did — but hey, it’s a rated-R movie for a reason! Just keep this in mind if you’re planning on streaming this movie on Disney+ and don’t want little ears in the house to hear some of the more vulgar jokes and language in the film. Some BIG news was dropped recently for Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Muppets Courtyard in Hollywood Studios Disney officially announced that the new Monsters, Inc. Land will be replacing Muppets Courtyard at Hollywood Studios. This announcement confirmed several things — the Muppets will be removed from the south side of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Muppets will be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, and a whole new theater show is coming to Monsters, Inc. Land. The announcement also confirmed that the beloved Muppet*Vision 3D show will be removed, but we also spotted a subtle and mysterious clue that has us questioning what might be in store for this popular show! There are many mixed feelings about the new Monsters, Inc. Land and Muppets developments. Those who love the Muppets are sad to see the courtyard being removed from Hollywood Studios, and the biggest disappointment may be the loss of Muppet*Vision 3D. Muppet*Vision 3D Muppet*Vision was the last project Jim Henson worked on and is a true theme-park classic. Those who love the Muppets and those who barely know the Muppets have enjoyed this Hollywood Studios staple since its addition to the park in 1991. The show combined 3D effects with real-world effects and animatronics. Its silly antics have been a source of laughter for guests of Disney World for years. Kermit in Muppet*Vision So when the news was shared that it would be going away forever, many fans were devastated. However, tucked away in the big announcement about Monsters, Inc. Land and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster was a small yet impactful clue. Disney stated, “As we move forward with these changes, we are having creative conversations and exploring ways to preserve the film and other parts of the experience for fans to enjoy in the future.” Muppet*Vision 3D We’re not sure what “exploring ways to preserve the film and other parts of the experience for fans to enjoy in the future” means exactly, but that wasn’t the only mysterious clue we got about this popular show, which really has our curiosity piqued! The Jim Henson Company also shared a statement with a hidden clue. In a statement shared on social media, the Jim Henson Company added, “As we learn of the show’s upcoming closure in its current form at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we look forward to Muppet*Vision 3D’s next act.” So it sounds like the Jim Henson Company knows what could be in store for Muppet*Vision and what its “next act” will entail! Muppet*Vision 3D Could Muppet*Vision 3D get a 2D replication and show up on Disney+ for fans to enjoy? Is there a new location being considered for the show elsewhere at Disney World? When it comes to iconic Disney World rides, Magic Kingdom is THE place to be. Space Mountain Let’s face it — Magic Kingdom was the first EVER Disney World park, so the classic rides that remain are just timeless. Sure, TRON Lightcycle / Run is thrilling and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure still has that new smell, but is anything more fun than riding Space Mountain in Tomorrowland (okay, if you’re older, maybe “fun” isn’t the right word…but we’ll get to that). However, we’ve got a new set of rules that we think Space Mountain needs. Wear shorts under skirts Learn from our mistakes. Getting in and out of those Space Mountain ride vehicles can be downright embarrassing if you’re wearing a skirt. We HIGHLY recommend wearing some shorts or slipshorts under skirts, no matter their length. If you’ve ever had to step out of a Space Mountain vehicle in a skirt, you get where we’re coming from. Space Mountain with the lights on So instead of possibly flashing those waiting for the next ride, just do yourself a favor and save yourself from that embarrassment. The PROBLEM with the Year-Long Closure of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom You better be prepared to walk Okay, so you’ve somehow managed to get OUT of those ride vehicles (it’s even awkward in pants) and you’re ready to exit the ride. Well, it’s a LOOOOOOONNNNGGG hike to leave the ride. You thought the walk ONTO the ride was long, the walk after feels like it takes forever. We hope you like to walk… Honestly, we’re always just SO happy to see the gift shop at the exit because we know we’re finally ALMOST back out into Tomorrowland. Disney Is Building 8 New Rides, But They Still Won’t Give Us This Roller Coaster You must sign a waiver for your back adjustment Okay, this might just be us getting older, but Space Mountain will literally shake every bone loose in your back and you’re basically getting the equivalent of a free chiropractic adjustment. You don’t even have to fill out your insurance information. If your back hurts when you look at this sign, you might be a Disney adult. No, seriously, our back hurts just thinking about this ride. We usually regret it after we ride it EVERY single time. But will we deny that free chiropractic care? Nope! So there should be a waiver…you know, just in case. 7 Rides Disney World Pros SKIP in Magic Kingdom Don’t play in the ball pit Disney straight up put a ball pit inside Space Mountain’s exit and yet it’s forbidden to jump in it or play in it. We can imagine a lot of kids crying because they can’t go in the cool spacey ball pit that isn’t really a ball pit. Space Mountain Exit Okay, so we get it. This is all part of Space Mountain’s retro-futuristic decor and ball pits were probably not popular when the ride was built, but still… BEWARE of the Loading Zone on These Two Disney World Rides You have to complain that the other Space Mountain is better Are you really a Disney adult if you haven’t been on at least TWO versions of Space Mountain? Well, if you have, you’ll probably understand that the one in Magic Kingdom is the lesser of pretty much all of them. For us, we’ll be sure to let everyone in our group know that this Space Mountain is okay, but the one in Disneyland is WAY better. Disneyland’s Space Mountain is better So, yes, we make ourselves ride the inferior back cracking version of Space Mountain while we complain about how the one on the West Coast is way better (but, y’all, it really is). If you don’t already know about the gloriousness that is plastic cheese, welcome. If you do, welcome back. While we call it plastic cheese here at DFB, it is technically called cheese sauce at Disney World, but we really feel like plastic cheese does a better job of encapsulating the deliciousness that is cheese sauce. Plastic Cheese Plastic cheese elevates a number of items at Disney World including, but not limited to, corn dog nuggets and pretzels. There is nothing quite like sitting in front of Cinderella Castle chowing down on some Corn Dog Nuggets and Cheese Sauce from Casey’s Corner. Pure perfection in our books. From the first bite, you can likely tell that there isn’t much (if any) real cheese in the plastic cheese, hence why we call it plastic cheese. However, we still believe that it isn’t a Disney World trip without at least one thing of plastic cheese. But we learned something that we just can’t unknow about plastic cheese, so we had to share it with you. If you want to remain blissfully unaware, turn back now, we won’t blame you. But if you are curious, let’s get into it. Plastic cheese, yum! We actually learned two things about this glorious sauce that we kind of wish we didn’t know. First off, while we are sure it will surprise no one, plastic cheese isn’t quite the healthiest thing you could be putting in your body. But where this ooey gooey goodness really shines is in sodium content. Plastic cheese has LOTS of sodium in it. Definitely one of the reasons it tastes so good, but also a bit sad. While Disney doesn’t put out the nutrition of most of their food items, we did find a similar cheese sauce that is sold by Gehl’s to see just how much sodium is in it. Crunchy Corn Dog Nuggets with Cheesy Goodness In a 1/4 of Gehl’s Cheddar Cheese Sauce, you will find 570 mg of sodium which accounts for 28% of your recommended sodium intake. That is a lot of sodium for only a 1/4 cup of cheese sauce. Granted, when you get a side of cheese sauce at Disney World, it isn’t a huge serving, and if you share it with others, the amount of sodium you eat goes down. This is good to know if you are limiting your sodium intake or have other dietary restrictions. Dip that cheese as much as you please! Secondly, we also learned that plastic cheese can be a bit dangerous! There used to be self-serve stations for cheese sauce back in the day, but they had to be removed because someone burned themselves. We can definitely see how you could easily burn yourself, as the cheese sauce can be very hot. While we wish we could still douse our food in plastic cheese, we understand that having it out is a safety hazard. YUM While we won’t be able to unknow these things about plastic cheese, we can guarantee you that you will still find us savoring our plastic cheese. In fact, just writing about the gooey sauce is making us hungry from some… Corn dog nugget with lots of plastic cheese! Nights are about to get BRIGHTER at Disney World. Cinderella Castle at night Earlier this year, Disney announced that a BRAND-NEW parade would be coming to Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. Following in the footsteps of iconic offerings like the Main Street Electrical Parade and SpectroMagic, this new nighttime spectacular was set to debut in 2025. Now, we know its full name! The new after-dark parade offering will be known as Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, expanding on the Disney Starlight moniker, which as announced back at D23. The full name was announced during the The Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular, which aired on ABC on December 1st. ©Disney The parade, which will be the first nighttime offering of this type at the Magic Kingdom since the East Coast version of the Main Street Electrical Parade concluded its final run in 2016, will use the latest in entertainment technology “to tell new stories about the characters you love. All of this is brought to life by the magic of the Blue Fairy, in addition to beloved characters from Walt Disney Animation Studios films Peter Pan, Encanto, Frozen, and more” according to Disney. ©Disney The announcement of the full Starlight name wasn’t the only news to come out of the special, as Disney also confirmed that the Disney Villains-based stage show coming to Hollywood Studios in 2025 will be entitled Villains: Unfairly Ever After during the same broadcast. ©Disney Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, the new and newly-named nighttime parade at the Magic Kingdom, is scheduled to premiere at Walt Disney World in the summer of 2025. Are you a member of the Disney Vacation Club? Riviera Resort The pricey timeshare-style program from Disney allows owners to buy points that they can then use to book stays at a variety of Disney properties, including hotels at Disney World and Disneyland Resort. You don’t have to be a DVC member to stay at those particular resorts, but if you travel to Disney destinations often enough, it might be worth buying into the program. However, recently there has been a big problem facing DVC members. If you’ve been a Disney Vacation Club member for several years, you may have noticed that recently, there’s been a BIG push for people to join DVC. Disney has been advertising the perks, offering tours, and hyping up the new resorts constantly, trying to get people to buy in. Saratoga Springs And honestly, it’s been working pretty well! For Disney as a company, this is good news. But for the average consumer? Well, it might not be so convenient. Because now, the pool of DVC members is much greater than it was before, which means the pool of available reservations to book is much smaller. Wilderness Lodge When you become a DVC member, you choose a “home” resort for signing your contract. With that particular resort, you’ll be able to book your stay 11 months in advance. At any other resort, availability will open 7 months in advance. But thanks to the influx of members, many DVC people are having a hard time finding availability at that 7-month mark, meaning that it’s more of a challenge to snag reservations that aren’t your home resort. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort This is particularly a problem during popular travel dates or holiday seasons. During those times of the year, some people have begun the frustrating practice of “walking” reservations. What does that mean? Allow me to explain. Let’s say, for example, that you want to stay in a Disney World hotel December 23rd-27th. “Walking” a reservation would mean that you start booking early — like making your reservation for December 15th when it opens up, then waking up every day and modifying the reservation back a day until you have your desired dates. This practice makes it very hard for the people who are actually booking for December 15th to find their desired room or dates. The Disney Vacation Club Imaginatrium But what about the new hotels? Yes, Disney has added new DVC properties in recent years, like at Disneyland Hotel or the Fort Wilderness Cabins. And at the end of 2024, they’ll be opening a DVC tower at the Polynesian Village Resort. But with each new property, more and more people are tempted to buy DVC, and therefore the demand is sometimes outpacing the supply. Disney Vacation Club Ultimately, this makes it more of a challenge for DVC members to get “bang for their buck” when it comes to those contracts. They’re often having to book single-night stays randomly to actually use their points. That can be frustrating when you paid big bucks to get those points in the first place! “The Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular” aired on ABC on December 1st with lots of fanfare and fun! ©Disney The show was full of holiday cheer, dancing, singing, and an exciting announcement! In the middle of all the excitement of the holidays, Disney slipped in a fun announcement about upcoming shows coming to Disney World next year. We knew a new Disney Villains show was coming to Hollywood Studios, but now we know the official name of this show! Disney announced the official name of the show during “The Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular.” The new Villains Show will officially be called Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After! ©Disney This new show is taking over Sunset Showcase, the building that once held Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy. The Cars-themed show permanently closed its doors on October 7th, and the new Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After will premiere in the summer of 2025! ©Disney Captain Hook, Maleficent, and Cruella De Vil, along with other “fiendish foes,” will be breaking through the glass and will transform the stage into the “mysterious, reflective realm of the Magic Mirror.” They will perform live production music and dances. We recently saw that Disney was casting several villains for the new show, so we know progress is being made to bring it to life on time next summer! ©Disney Apart from this new villains show, a new Villains Land is coming to Magic Kingdom! Well, we got some good news and bad news about Disney’s Hollywood Studios this year. The good news is that an ENTIRE new land themed around Monsters, Inc. is coming to the park — and it will feature the ride we’ve always dreamed of — a ride based on the doors chase scene in the movie! YES!!! Muppets Courtyard in Hollywood Studios But then we started wondering, where exactly would this new land go? Well, Disney gave us some bad news recently because we also learned this new land would be replacing Muppets Courtyard, closing Muppet*Vision 3D. BUT then we got good news AGAIN because Disney also announced Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is getting a new Muppets theme. Yes, we’ve been in a whirlwind of “Sweet Emotion” lately! BUT that means Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster will have to close…so when will that happen? Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith has been at Disney’s Hollywood Studios since 1999. The ride’s grand opening was an invitation-only party where some lucky guests got an opportunity ride the coaster WITH members of Aerosmith (you can see a photo of this event at the ride’s exit just outside the gift shop). The ride features onboard sound, a fun pre-show with Aerosmith, and a launch that can take you from 0 to 57 mph in less than three seconds. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster The coaster features trains designed to look like limos with each train having a special license plate that indicates which Aerosmith song you’ll hear during your ride. Songs include “Walk This Way,” “Sweet Emotion,” “Dude (Looks Like A Lady),” and more. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster In order for Disney to re-theme the ride, we know it will have to close. So let’s take a look at when that might happen. We believe construction on the new Monsters, Inc. land will begin sometime in 2025, which means Muppets Courtyard will close then. Disney may go ahead and close Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at the same time so that they can work on both projects at the same time. So we COULD see Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith permanently closing in 2025. ©Disney However, Disney may not want to have construction going on in TWO parts of the park simultaneously, so it could hold off until the Monsters, Inc. land is complete or close to completion. That could push the permanent closure of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster to later, say 2026 or even beyond. This would make sense since an entire land will basically be closed while Monsters, Inc. is under construction and Disney may not want to have another ride closed at that time. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster So knowing what we know now (which isn’t a lot), we’re guessing Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster will close in either 2025 or 2026. That means you still have plenty of time to enjoy the Aerosmith version of the ride if you want. Of course, Disney has not made any announcements about this yet, so we won’t know for sure until the company confirms, but we’ll let you know when that happens. Stay tuned to DFB for more. So we’ve noticed a trend with some Disney snacks. It’s croissants — Disney has suddenly become obsessed with croissants and are just out there doing some wacky things with this classic snack. Jolly Holiday In Disney World, we’ve seen croissants stuffed with cookie dough, peanut butter and jelly croissants, and croissants with espresso (in case you want your breakfast and coffee together in one snack). Well, this trend seems to have made its way to the West Coast because a NEW croissant has just arrived in Disneyland, and it’s another unique “thinking outside the box” snack — and we mean that in the best way possible. So let’s head on over to Jolly Holiday to check out the Crispy Chocolate Dipped Croissant for $8.29. This is a croissant dipped in chocolate, topped with Flaked Corn Cereal, and filled with Bavarian Cream. Yep, it’s a croissant with Frosted Flakes on it — AND WE ARE HERE FOR IT. It honestly tasted like a bowl of our favorite cereal combined with a chocolate-covered croissant and the flavors just WORK. Crispy Chocolate Dipped Croissant At first, you get the rich, chocolatey flavor with a bit of crunch from the cereal. Then there’s this lovely Bavarian cream inside with a rich vanilla flavor (although it can make the croissant a bit messy). The cream combined with the cereal just adds to that breakfast flavor. The croissant is served chilled, which is the only thing we didn’t love, but it makes sense because the chocolate shell might melt otherwise, so we’ll forgive this one minor issue. It’s basically breakfast This could be one of our favorite snacks from Jolly Holiday in a long time. If you love Frosted Flakes and croissants, just get them together like this. Also, Disney, keep doing these zany things with croissants because we are LOVING IT. This is one Disney trend we hope lasts for a long time. Grab it now while it’s available! It’s been a HUGE week in Disney World — at least for food. We’ve been eating and drinking our way around EPCOT this week That’s because the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays has officially kicked off and have spent the past few days eating and drinking our way around this year’s food booths. Let’s just say we also ate a lot of cookies and enjoyed the first Candlelight Processional of the year where we got to see the voice of Olaf himself, Josh Gad, (who also voiced Le Fou in the live-action Beauty and the Beast) narrate the Christmas story. However, Disney World restaurants still had a few changes this week, so we’re going to tell you all about them between bites of cookie. EPCOT The Land Cart Mediterranean Vegetable Wrap has been added to the menu. It’s made with Pickled Vegetables, Hummus, Cucumber, Spring Mix, Tomato, and Plant-based Chipotle Cream (Plant-based) for $10.75. The Land Cart Açaí Parfait and Roasted Red Pepper Hummus have been removed. REVIEW: Is This NEW EPCOT Smoothie Even BETTER Than POG Juice?! One of our favorite parts of Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort is the pool. That might sound random if you’ve never visited this resort, but trust us; it’s worth the hype. Disney’s Beach Club Resort The pool has all kinds of EPIC features, like a sand bottom, a lazy river, and a GIANT pirate ship water slide. Need we say more? Clearly, the pool is a big perk for a lot of people, but if you’re basing your hotel decisions on that pool alone, you might want to listen up. We have an important update! The Stormalong Bay and Shipwreck Pool at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club will be temporarily closed for refurbishment in early 2025. The closure begins in January 2025 and will last through May 2025. Stormalong Bay During the closure, you can still visit the Tidal, Admiral, and Dunes Cove leisure pools. These are a little smaller than the main pool, but hey, a pool is a pool, right?
