Disney4me
It’s time for MIMOSAS at the 2024 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival! Come with us as we visit the Shimmering Sips booth! Shimmering Sips Booth 2024 Oh…you’re still here? Alright, well then let’s go over ALL the details you need to know. The 2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival has started, and that means we’ve got lots of eats and drinks to grab, merchandise items to check out, and entertainment to see. But now we’re heading to one spot in particular — the Shimmering Sips booth — to let you know what items here are worth your visit! Menu Over at the Shimmering Sips booth, you’ll find, well, mostly sips! You can get a guava cake here along with various mimosas, and a mimosa flight(!). This is also the spot where you’ll get your completer prize if you get enough qualifying dishes in the cheese crawl (Emile’s Fromage Montage). 2024 Shimmering Sips Food Booth Menu Now that we’ve taken a quick look at the menu, let’s get into the full review of what you can get here. Eats First up, we tried the only treat available to purchase here. It’s a plant-based Guava Cake with whipped cream and coconut. This is a plant-based item that costs $5. Last year brought some significant changes to this item and our opinion of it — we were not fans of it then! It was a miss for us this year, too. We’re torn on this one. On the one hand, one reporter just can’t get past the weird texture, although said the flavor was excellent. However, another of our reporters really like it. Guava Cake with whipped cream and coconut Now that we’ve gone through the dessert here, let’s talk about those mimosas! Drinks As you might have guessed, there are quite a few drinks on this menu! You can choose from individual mimosas, a MIMOSA FLIGHT, and a new Fruited Sour Beer and Sparkling Wine Cocktail. We ordered the Mimosa Flight, which features the returning Tropical Mimosa made with Sparkling wine, Minute Maid Passion Fruit, Orange, and Guava Juices; a Berry Mimosa made with La Gioiosa Berry Fizz and white cranberry juice; and another returning mimosa, the Blood Orange Mimosa made with Sparkling wine and blood orange juice. The flight is $14 and the individual drinks are $7 each. The flight is a perfect mix of Mimosa flavors, plus they’re pretty good sizes. We also always get asked where we got this when we’re carrying it around. Mimosa Flight To answer your question, yes, the Tropical Mimosa is a POG Juice Mimosa. We LOVED this mimosa in 2023. This one is, OBVIOUSLY, our favorite. It’s POG-flavored, so that kinda makes it the perfect mimosa to begin with, right? POG Mimosa A Berry Mimosa was on last year’s menu too — and it’s back again for this year. Last year, we thought it tasted like a grape and cranberry juice mix. It wasn’t anything special, but tasty enough. Berry Mimosa And, returning again this year is the Blood Orange Mimosa. Last year this one was just OK for us. Blood Orange Mimosa All three of these are good mimosas. We might just stick to getting a single serving of our favorite of the three (rather than the flight), but if you aren’t sure which one you’ll like best, want to try two of the three, or just want to grab some drinks to share (and then maybe come back later to order your favorite one separately), the flight is the way to go! New to Shimmering Sips this year is a Fruited Sour Beer and Sparkling Wine Cocktail made with Brewery Ommegang Dream Patch Fruited Sour with Cherry, Blueberry and Raspberry, and sparkling wine. This is priced at $9. Our team was torn on this one. One reporter didn’t love it, but others did. We have come to the opinion that if you love rosé, you might like this fruity, light fizzy wine. Fruited Sour Beer and Sparkling Wine Cocktail This booth is where you can also get the CORKCICLE Stemless Flute if you want a fancy souvenir! It is priced at $24. Overall If you’re a mimosa fan, THIS is the booth for you! We think of all the fizzy drinks available here, the Tropical POG Mimosa is the one to order, but we might tell you to skip the cake — again, though, it comes down to personal taste, so the cake could be a hit for some folks.
