Disney4me
Disney World is known for being magical, right?! EPCOT at Disney World I mean, the rides, the food, and all the memories — it’s all second to none. But speaking of the food, let’s be real — sometimes the choices Disney makes can be pretty wild. To be sure most every snack with the name “Mickey” in it (i.e. Mickey pretzel) and Dole Whips always hit the spot, but there have been a couple of menu items that have made us gasp, guffaw, and sometimes even gag. Let’s talk about ’em! As we were saying, there have been some Disney World foods that have left us feeling like, “Did Disney really just serve that?” The Pickle Milkshake at the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival Yup, you read that right. We’re talking about a Pickle Milkshake. This “concoction” has definitely caused quite a stir. And while pickles and milkshakes together sounds like a dare that went too far, but it’s actually available at Disney World. Pickle Milkshake Imagine, if you can, the cool creamy sweetness of a vanilla milkshake but now add a hefty dose of pickle juice. Let’s just say that it’s such a twist that it’ll leave your taste buds confused. You can go ahead and put this in the one-and-done category. ALERT: Disney’s Infamous Pickle Milkshake Is BACK in EPCOT, and It Brought a Weird Friend Squid’s Revenge at Be Our Guest Restaurant So, back during Disney World’s 50th anniversary, Disney decided to push the boundaries of culinary creativity with the Squid’s Revenge drink at Be Our Guest Restaurant. We’re not talking about just an octopus-flavored drink (which would be wild in its own right), but a cocktail that’s served with an actual tentacle. Yup, a real deal tentacle. Yup, that’s an octopus tentacle in our drink. We’re all for adventurous eating and drinking, but this one just might have taken things a bit too far. It’s probably safe to say that the combination of alcohol and an actual sea creature might be just enough to trigger the gag reflexes in a lot of people. REVIEW: We Drank an OCTOPUS Cocktail in Disney World and It Went About as Well as You’d Think! The Swine Brine at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival Food & Wine is usually guaranteed to be a treasure trove of delicious discoveries, but the Swine Brine? Well, that’s a WHOLE different story. Swine Brine This “unique” cocktail features Jim Beam Bourbon, apple cinnamon cider, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, and an actual chunk of pork, which altogether sounds like a confusing mashup of flavors. This is probably going to be one of those novelties that you try once and then never speak of again. Hold On, WHAT?! Did This EPCOT Food and Wine Festival Booth Make Us Like SWINE BRINE?!
