Hollywood Studios isn’t known for having the best food.

Galaxy’s Edge

In fact, some people would say it has the worst food out of all the Disney World parks, and we see why! It doesn’t have a lot of options that really blow you away, and some of the quick service options have a bit of a reputation of being unreliable. However, there ARE hidden gems in this park, and one of them is located right in Galaxy’s Edge, but we bet a lot of you walk right by it!

Docking Bay 7 is located in Galaxy’s Edge, but it’s a little tucked away. If you don’t know to look for it and don’t check on the My Disney Experience App, you could walk right by it. It blends seamlessly in with the rest of the land, both on the outside and inside. True to its name, there’s a delivery shuttle parked right on top of it!

Atmosphere

Inside you’ll find a decent amount of seating, which is fantastic for such a busy land. The inside is themed to be a cargo hold, where Proprietor Chef Strono “Cookie” Tuggs runs the kitchen, having honed his skills in the kitchen of Maz Kanata.

You certainly won’t be taken out of the story Disney is creating in this restaurant, especially when it comes to the food! What we really love about this spot is that it’s far from your traditional chicken fingers and fries, or regular burgers. This spot serves up items like regional delicacies like Fried Endorian Chicken Tip Yip and Smoked Kaadu Ribs!

Eats

On our latest visit, we decided to grab the Endorian Fried Chicken Tip Yip for $16.29 which is is Crispy Chicken served with Macaroni & Cheese and Roasted Harvest Vegetables, as well as the Pirjanad Hot Chicken Tip Yip also for $16.29, which is Crispy Chicken glazed in a Spicy Chipotle Sauce and served with White Rice and a Relish of Sweet Corn, Shishito Peppers, Jicama, Plantains, and Cilantro.

Let’s eat!

The Endorian Fried Chicken Tip Yip is going to be one of the safer options at this location for picky eaters. The mac and cheese was good, cheesy and creamy, but certainly not the best you’ll have in Disney World. The Chicken Tip Yip is sometimes a little dry, but when we got it, it was so delicious and crispy! We did wish the roasted vegetables were a little crispier, but overall, we really enjoyed this dish and think it would be a great slightly elevated option for picky eaters.

Endorian Fried Chicken Tip Yip

As for the Pirjanad Hot Chicken Tip Yip, it’s one of our reporter’s go-to meals at Docking Bay 7 because it genuinely have a decent amount of spice (not “Disney spice,” actual spice)! The chicken is spiced very well and has a delicious crisp to it, the relish cools it down just a bit, and the white rice is a great palate cleanser. We love how well portioned everything is too — if you’re not opposed to spice, you’re definitely in for a delicious and filling option!

Overall

Overall, this may not be a great restaurant for picky eaters who don’t want their food to look different (if you say the Tip Yip is fried chicken to a child, they may look at you very strangely), but for those who are a tad more adventurous, and those who definitely want something unique, this is a great stop! While the pricing is a little higher compared to some other quick service restaurants, the majority of these meals are also very filling, so you’re getting your money’s worth.

As always, stay tuned to DFB for all the latest Disney World dining reviews!
