Disney4me
Hurricane Milton has made its way across Florida, and as a result, Disney World and Disney Springs has been closed since yesterday, October 9th, at 2PM and will remain closed until tomorrow, October 11th, when the parks will reopen. Orlando International Airport Orlando International Airport remained open, but it put a pause on any and all commercial flights, only staying open to allow emergency, medical, and relief flights into and out of the airport. However, the airport just made an important announcement on when it will reopen (which might be good news to some folks who ended up stranded in Orlando due to the hurricane). Orlando International Airport recently posted to social media that it will receive a few domestic flights this evening, although no departures or international flights will happen there. It has requested that passengers not come to the airport for flights scheduled to depart for tonight. However, the airport announced that departures will resume tomorrow, October 11th. GOOD NEWS: TPA TO REOPEN AT 8 A.M. FRIDAY We remain closed to the public today Repairs to our campus are underway We're working with our partners to make sure staff can return safely Check directly with your airline for the latest flight updates pic.twitter.com/CqxUkvpRGe — Tampa International Airport (@FlyTPA) October 10, 2024 Keep in mind that because of the airports being closed and so many flights being canceled, you’ll want to make sure any flight you have scheduled is departing on time tomorrow. Keep an eye on your airline’s website, as well as the airline’s mobile app. Make sure you have notifications turned on your phone and set up text or phone messages from the airline for flight status changes, if available. Airlines flying in and out of Florida are going to be a little backed up, so you’ll also want to pack your patience for your next flight.
