Italy Pavilion in EPCOT

And since we are DFB, you can probably already guess that means we are headed to the Italy Pavilion in EPCOT to dine our hearts out. Of course, we are taking you along with us, so let’s see where we are dining!

We are headed over to Tutto Italia Ristorante in EPCOT to feast on some authentic Italian cuisine. This restaurant features a richly decorated dining room in the middle of the Italy Pavilion. You can dine on a variety of Italian food including Parmigiana, Gnocchi Sorrentina, and sip on a large selection of wines and cocktails.

Tutto Italia

While Tutto Italia is one of the pricier restaurants in EPCOT, in past reviews we have felt like it had some of the best Italian food in Disney World. However, we are back to put the restaurant to the test, so let’s head on over!

Atmosphere

You can find Tutto Italia in the middle of the Italy Pavilion. The restaurant is located right next to the Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar, which is a cozy wine bar that boasts over 200 bottles of Italian wines and small plates.

Entrance

Inside of Tutto Italia you will find a richly decorated dining area with a warm and cozy Old World ambiance. The restaurant features lots of warm colors and woodwork throughout. The walls are also adorned in beautiful paintings. You will feel like you have been transported to Italy once you step inside (just pretend all the Disney World apparel is a coincidence!)

Dining Room

The carpet continues the cozy ambiance and features lots of yellow flowers. There are numerous chandeliers scattered throughout the restaurant and large, yellow vases provide the finishing touch for the decor.

Warm atmosphere

There are paintings all around the restaurant that depict various Italian scenes and murals of ancient Rome. We especially loved this painting of a gondola in Venice, but you could spend all day just admiring the paintings in the restaurant.

The tables are also made of wood, and the table settings are elegant and inviting.

Our table

Now that we have made it to our table, let’s take a look at the menu!

Menu

Tutto Italia serves a meu filled with authentic Italian dishes including chicken, fish, handmade pasta, lasagna and more. The menu is created by Joachim Splichal, award-winning chef and California restaurateur. Let’s take a look at the offerings!

Now that we have taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into what we ordered!

Drinks

We started off with some drinks! First, we got the Espresso Martini which is made with vanilla vodka, coffee liqueur, and Italian espresso. You can get it for $18.

Espresso Martini

We thought the Espresso Martini was smooth and sweet. Overall, it is what you would expect from an Espresso Martini, but it wasn’t anything special. If you are a fan of this drink, you will feel satisfied with this one, but it isn’t the best Espresso Martini we have had in Disney World.

Espresso Martini

Next up, we got the Italian Sangria which is made with Cabernet Terre di Bacco, rum, and fruit juice. You can get this drink for $16.

Italian Sangria

Just like the Espresso Martini, this Italian Sangria is about what you would expect. It was a sangria, and it was tasty, but it wasn’t anything that knocked our socks off. We could definitely tell that the sangria was made with a high-quality red wine and that really added to the overall flavor.

Now that we have some drinks, let’s move onto the food!

Eats

For an appetizer, we got the Tortino di Melanzane which is baked eggplant parmigiana, pomodoro, mozzarella, and parmesan. This dish costs $19.

Tortino di Melanzane

This was one of our favorite things we got, and it was really just incredible. The eggplant was wonderfully soft, and it soaked up the sauce and cheese. It was also a very light dish that didn’t make us feel super full. We shared it amongst two people, and we thought it was the perfect amount to feel satisfied, but still ready for a main course. Although we would have gladly eaten many plates of this dish!

Tortino di Melanzane

For our main dishes, we got the Pesce Spada which is grilled Swordfish with crushed potatoes, Scillian tomato pesto, and piccata sauce. You can grab this dish for $36.

Pesce Spada

We really enjoyed this dish and thought all of the elements complimented the fish well. Most flavor came from the tomato pesto and piccata sauce as the fish itself did not have a lot of flavor beyond tasting meaty and a bit salty. The fish had a great char on the outside, but you really got the flavor from the sauces. The sauces were bright and added a great amount of acidity to the dish. The crushed potatoes were a great addition to bring down the lightness and acidity of the dish. The flavors all melded well together to create a very tasty main course.

We also got the Gnocchi Sorrentina which is potato dumplings with roasted tomatoes, pomodoro sauce, and burrata cheese. You can get this dish for $29.

Gnocchi Sorrentina

We love ourselves a good gnocchi dish, so we were excited to taste this one! This dish was very well made, and it felt like a dish you would get from an Italian grandma. In a sense it felt very homemade, but in the best way possible. We could tell the ingredients were all high-quality and it was a super comforting dish. It wasn’t the best gnocchi we have ever had, but we still really enjoyed it.

Gnocchi Sorrentina

Next up is dessert! First, we got the Limoncello Float which is Sicilian limoncello over homemade limoncello gelato and fresh strawberry. This dessert costs $19.

2024-wdw-epcot-tutto-italia-review-Limon

Limoncello Float

We were pleasantly surprised by this dessert. It is likely what the Ice Cream Martini in France wishes it was instead of being a drink where you end up eating ice cream and just sipping on vodka because of how it melts. Instead, this Limoncello Float actually melts really well together. When your first combine the two it tastes like straight Limoncello, but once it has melted a bit it ends up being a refreshing, sweet dessert drink.

Limoncello Float

Last but not least, we also got the Tiramisù which is the classic coffee-flavored Italian dessert. It is made with ladyfingers dipped in coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of eggs, sugar and mascarpone cheese and topped with fresh cocoa powder. You can get this for $14.

Tiramisù

This was a wonderful Tiramisù! It was like a cloud, light and fluffy, and delicious. The dessert was decadent tasting, although we do wish the lady fingers had a bit more texture. It was so light and fluffy that you didn’t really notice a texture difference when you were eating the lady fingers because they had soaked up so much of the coffee. However, we really enjoyed this dessert, and it was a great way to end our meal!

Tiramisù

Overall

We had a great meal at Tutto Italia with our favorite dishes being the Tortino di Melanzane, Pesce Spada, and Tiramisù. Overall, we could tell all of the food and drinks were made with really high-quality ingredients and we could taste that a lot of care went into each dish. This restaurant is definitely on the pricier side, and while it didn’t leave us completely in awe, we still feel like this restaurant serves up some quality Italian food. If you have some time, are not working with a specific budget, and are craving some Italian food, we think Tutto Italia could be a great option for you.

Nosh or Not?

You may want to stop by Tutto Italia if…

  • You are craving some delicious Italian dishes. Tutto Italia serves up a variety of authentic Italian dishes, and if you are craving Italian, this restaurant is sure to satisfy!
  • You are looking for somewhere with a warm and cozy atmosphere. We love how warm the ambiance is inside the restaurant. You feel welcome and cozy while you are enjoying some yummy food. It is a great break from the hustle and bustle of the World Showcase.
  • You want a large selection of wines to pair with your meal. Tutto Italia has a large menu of wine that you can pair with your meal. As well as a variety of other alcholic beverages,

We might recommend walking on by if…

  • You are looking for a quick meal. Tutto Italia will take a bit of time to finish your meal. It isn’t incredibly slow, but plan to spend a decent chunk of time to really enjoy your dining experience. If you are looking for a quick meal nearby you can check out the Via Napoli pizza window or head over to The American Adventure Pavilion for Regal Eagle Smokehouse.
  • You have a strict budget to adhere to. This restaurant is on the pricier side and if you have a larger group, it will quickly add up. If you are hoping to adhere to a strict budget, this may not be the best option to stretch your dollar.
  • You want to have the best Italian food ever. The food is tasty, but it likely won’t be the best Italian food you will ever have. It is some of the better Italian food we have found at Disney World, but don’t expect a lifechanging experience either.

Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney food reviews! We have eaten everywhere, and we aren’t stopping there. We are constantly reviewing new food items, and revisiting dining locations, so stay tuned so you don’t miss any of the yumminess!
