We’ve just finished celebrating all things Halloween and the last Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is now over. The holiday season has just arrived in the parks and the first Jollywood Nights in Hollywood Studios and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom are coming up SOON. However, ANOTHER holiday celebration will be coming to Disney Springs soon — and there’s even a special parade!

Diwali is the Hindu festival of lights, symbolizing the spiritual victory of light over darkness. It’s celebrated around mid-September and mid-November with celebrations that last several days. Now, that celebration is coming to Disney Springs.

The Diwali DanceFest is coming to Disney Springs November 7th through November 9th. The festival will bring hundreds of performers from all over the North America to celebrate, starting with a special dinner for performers and their guests at eet by Maneet Chauhan on November 7th.

Then everyone can watch the FREE parade in Disney Springs on November 8th, starting at 11AM — the beginning of the parade is near the Cirque Du Soleil tent. The parade will include over 300 performers!

A dance showcase will kick off events on November 9th at the Finding Nemo Theater in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. You’ll get to see performances from dance studios across North America, special live performances by B FUNK and Sa Dance Company and the whole thing will be hosted by Broadway star Shoba Narayan, who played Jasmin in Disney’s Aladdin. Doors open at 6:25PM.

Speaking of eet, you can also take advantage of Dancing Elephant Happy Hour Monday through Thursday from 2-5PM! You’ll get half-off wines, beers, and cocktails, as well as Happy Hour bites like Naan Pretzel Bites with Beer Cheese, Mozzarella Sticks with Tetcha Pizza Sauce, and Cheese Quesadilla with Raita. Um…YUM!
