The U.S. State Department has issued new travel advisories for some countries in the Caribbean — including a couple of Disney Cruise Line destinations.

A Level 1 travel advisory has been issued for Grenada — especially on the islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique due to varying stages of recovery from Hurricane Beryl in July 2024. The Level 1 warning says to “Exercise Normal Precautions” and that some restaurants, hotels, and other businesses may be impacted. This is a Disney Cruise Line destination, so if you’ve got an upcoming trip make sure you keep this in mind.

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is also under a Level 1 travel advisory due to the continued impacts of Hurricane Beryl. The islands of Canouan, Mayreau, Palm Island, and Union Island are all in varying stages of recovery from the storm.

Bermuda — which is also a Disney cruise destination — has also received a Level 1 travel advisory, warning travelers to “Exercise Normal Precautions” on this tropical island as well.

The State Department has four levels of travel advisories. Level 1 says to “Exercise Normal Precautions,” Level 2 says to “Exercise Increased Caution,” Level 3 says to “Reconsider Travel,” and Level 4 urges “Do Not Travel.” Luckily, the advisories that were recently issued are the lowest level, but this is something to still be aware of if you’ve got an upcoming vacation.
