Disney4me Posted Saturday at 06:42 PM Report Share Posted Saturday at 06:42 PM EPCOT has already gone through some MAJOR changes over the past few years, but there are still a few more to go. ©Disney The biggest changes were those made during the massive EPCOT transformation that re-imagined entire parts of EPCOT, gave us Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and CommuniCore Hall and Plaza. But EPCOT isn’t done just yet. Disney is also working on reimagining Test Track into a brand new version of itself. We’ve seen concept art of that re-theming, but Disney recently shared a look INSIDE the work being done at Test Track RIGHT NOW. Disney hasn’t released a lot of details about what the new version of Test Track will look like, but the company recently dropped a video with an Imagineer named Tessa, who is a show set designer on the project. Tessa talks about what she’s doing for the ride, which is basically designing the sets for each new scene of the ride. The video shows Tessa walking around inside the re-theming project. ©Disney Tessa speaks about how she works with others within Walt Disney Imagineering, including architecture and engineering, as well as with the ride’s partner and sponsor, General Motors (Chevrolet will still be sponsoring the new version of the ride). Together, they design the “immersive environments within the ride itself.” ©Disney So when you see the different scenes in the ride, that’s what show set designers have done. The new version of Test Track will feature new scenes that showcase technological advances, as well as how our lifestyles and relationships to mobility connect us. The new Test Track queue will feature six new exhibits celebrating vehicles and the people behind them. ©Disney You can watch the full video below.
