Disney4me
Cast Members are the ones who really make the magic happen at the Disney parks! Our Disney World trips would not be the same without them. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Cast Members Sure, the rides are amazing, the merchandise is tempting, and the details throughout the parks are incredible, but none of it would be the same without the Cast Members! We love Cast Members here at DFB, and we actually have quite a few former Cast Members on our team. They worked in various areas around the parks, and we asked them what rules they wish people would stop breaking. Four main rules seem to get broken A LOT, so if you want to make Cast Memebers’ job a bit easier, keep on reading. Here are the four rules that Cast Members wish people would stop breaking: Not Being Where You Should Be There is A LOT to take in at Disney World! The lights, the sounds, the smells, and we totally get that it can be a bit overwhelming at times. But Cast Members really wish you would pay attention to lines on the ground indicating where you should and should not be standing. Festival of Fantasy Parade In attractions, you will often see yellow lines that Cast Members will ask you to stand behind. During parades and fireworks shows, there will be areas designated by ropes or white tape that indicate where you can stand to view the show. Sometimes, the lines can be confusing, but you can always ask for clarification from a Cast Member! Being where you are supposed to be makes their job SO much easier. Not Showing Up On Time If you have opted to purchase a Lightning Lane service or book advance dining reservations, do your best to arrive as close to on time as possible. Things happen, and you may not always make it right on time, but stay on top of your reservations in the My Disney Experience app to make Cast Members’ jobs easier. They will try their best to accommodate you whenever they can, but it isn’t always possible. They really don’t want to be the one to ruin something for your group, so try your best to be on time! Haunted Mansion Lightning Lane Not Respecting Character’s Boundaries This is a HUGE one for Cast Members, especially character attendants and character performers. It is super important to respect the character’s boundaries. Don’t lift the character up or put them in an uncomfortable position. Also, don’t try to get them to “break character.” Have fun with them and interact all you want, but make sure it is in a respectful way! Santa Duffy Not Putting Away Your Belongings We know how exciting it is to be the next person in line to board an attraction. As you hop in a Cast Member directs you to put away your belongings, including your phone. Cast Members are begging you to listen! While you may REALLY want to film yourself on the attraction or have your phone in easy access, it makes the Cast Members’ job so much easier if you stow those items away. There are certain attractions where it is perfectly fine to have your phone out, but just make sure you are listening to Cast Member instructions. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster As well, if you are ever evacuated from a ride, you will get asked to put your phone away. This is for your safety to ensure you are watching where you are going. The backstage areas often have uneven areas or small walkways, so they want to make sure you are watching. Help the Cast Member out by putting your phone away! Cast Members assist in evacuating a ride vehicle at Tiana’s Bayou Adveture. Listening to Cast Members will be the easiest way to make their jobs easier for them! They want you to have the best vacation possible, but they also want to make sure everyone stays safe and that everyone is treated fairly.
