Disney4me
We go to Disney World every day, and because of that, we tend to notice quite a bit. EPCOT And lately, we’ve noticed that different generations have wildly different approaches to the parks. Of course, it makes sense when you think about it. But, there’s one generation that’s bringing a weird sort of energy to the parks. No offense, Gen Alpha, but Disney needs to get rid of these trends. Gen Alpha represents people who were born between 2010 and 2024 (ish) — so essentially, babies (if any babies are reading this we will be very impressed!) to middle schoolers. Yes, this is a very “old man yells at cloud” coded post, but we already roasted millennials so we figured it was only fair. And, while Disney probably can’t do much about these things except for maybe one of them, we still think they need to go. The Frozen Fad Needs To Fade Put your pitchforks away! We didn’t say Disney needs to get rid of every instance of Frozen that exists in the parks, but you can’t deny that there’s a LOT of it. There are multiple character meet and greets dedicated to the franchise, plus rides, shows, and stores, and don’t even get us started on the souvenirs. Frozen We love the story of Frozen and you can’t deny that the songs are a BOP. But, you know when you find a new favorite food or song and it’s all you eat or listen to for a while, and then suddenly you realize you’re sick of it? That’s kind of the vibe we’re feeling about Frozen these days. Which is perfect, because we’re still anticipating the third and fourth installments of the franchise to come out. Pay Attention To Your Surroundings This certainly isn’t exclusive to Gen Alpha by any means, but there seems to be a trend of folks getting so into their Disney experience they aren’t paying as much attention to their surroundings as they maybe should be. We talk about not stopping in the middle of the sidewalk quite often, but it seems the trend has spilled over to lines as well. Be aware of your surroundings in crowds and lines! Give others space, people! We know you want to get to the front of the line because so do all the other people in line — that’s kind of the whole point of waiting in one. But, pushing and shoving your friends into other people or getting all up in someone’s business to try to get them to move forward is less than cool. TikTok Is Taking Over Speaking of stopping in the middle of the walkway, please quit making TikToks in the middle of the walkway as well. We’re super thrilled that you feel confident enough to film yourself doing a dance while surrounded by thousands of people, but just make sure you’re not in anyone’s way when you do it. We can’t blame you for wanting to document your experience (since that’s kind of our whole thing, too) but don’t forget to live in the moment — you’re at Disney World, after all! Mickey says put down your phone! Of course, we’re really not here to yuck anyone else’s yum — we totally understand why these trends are popular among Gen Alpha. As long as you’re not disturbing anyone else, do yo thang (oh man I’m old) and live your best Disney World life!
