Disney4me
We often highlight how important planning is before embarking on a Walt Disney World trip, but you’d be surprised how many people forget to account for late-night snacking. Capt. Cook’s Here at DFB, we’re all about giving you the latest and greatest Disney World dining tips, but sometimes it’s just as important to remind you about some tips that have existed for quite a while. For example, we were just reminded of one major caveat at dining at one popular Disney World hotel restaurant when you’re craving a late-night snack! Capt. Cook’s at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has you covered when it comes to super solid counter-service options! This island-inspired restaurant offers quick and casual breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Here, you can pick up classics like burgers, Polynesian favorites like the Aloha Pork Sandwich, and the iconic Tonga Toast. However, if you visit Capt. Cook’s after a certain time in the evening, you’ll be severely disappointed, as most of the warm options won’t be available. Capt. Cook’s Restaurants that are open 24/7, such as Capt. Cook’s and Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, will often offer a severely limited Late Night Dining menu. Capt. Cook’s Late Night Dining menu is all about flatbreads and on-the-go snacks. Capt. Cook’s late at night With staff limited, the menu naturally gets cut down quite a bit. After 11PM, you’ll only be able to find Pepperoni Flatbread, Cheese Flatbread, and Hawaiian Flatbread when in the mood for warm options. The Late Night Dining menu also includes premade baked goods like cupcakes, pastries, and cookies. You’ll also find plenty of grab-and-go snacks. ©Disney In our latest pursuit of something to satisfy the late-night snack cravings, we tried the Hawaiian Flatbread and Pepperoni Flatbread, and we have some thoughts. Starting with the Pepperoni Flatbread, this snack is $13.29 and is made with Pepperoni and marinara sauce with mozzarella and parmesan blend. Pepperoni Flatbread This is the definition of a standard flatbread. The cheese and pepperoni are comparable to something you’d find at Pizza Hut and overall, this is a solid option. In the past, we’ve labeled this a pass unless you have picky eaters who are in desperate need of a late-night snack. However, we can’t deny that this flatbread is decent compared to other late-night options and is a trusty go-to for a quick bite. Super solid Next, we tried the Hawaiian Flatbread, which is also $13.29. This flatbread is made with marinara sauce with mozzarella and parmesan blend topped with ham, pineapple, and red onion. Hawaiian Flatbread This flatbread is ideal if you’re looking for a late-night snack with sweet and savory flavors. We’ve been fans of the Hawaiian Flatbread for quite a while and how different it is compared to other snack options. Crispy and packed with taste melted cheese, this flatbread provides a really strong variety of flavors, including the sweet pineapple and savory ham. If you like Hawaiian flavors, check this snack out! Have you tried this flatbread? And there you have it! What are your go-to late-night snack options at Disney World?
