Disney4me Posted December 12, 2024 Report Share Posted December 12, 2024 The past few years, Disney has been going HARD on the live-action remakes! ©Disney Currently, they’ve got movies like Moana and Lilo & Stitch in the works, and in the past, we’ve seen everything from Cinderella to Beauty and the Beast. Now, another Disney princess is joining the live-action lineup! Variety has revealed that a Tangled live-action remake is now in the works at Disney. Michael Gracey, who was the filmmaker behind The Greatest Showman, is in talks to direct the new movie. Rapunzel in Festival of Fantasy The script is written by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, who worked on Thor: Love and Thunder. Casting for the roles has yet to be announced, and there’s currently not a set release date for the movie. Snuggly Duckling in the Movie ©Disney The original movie was released around Thanskgiving in 2010, and made $592 million at the global box office. The movie’s song “When Will My Life Begin” was nominated for an Oscar, and since the film’s release, Disney has also dropped a Tangled short film and TV series. The characters have become rather popular as well, appearing often in the Disney parks and on Disney merchandise. Rapunzel’s Tower We’ll be on the lookout for more news about this movie coming in the future, especially when Disney announces the cast! For now, we’ll have to get hyped for the live-action remakes of Snow White and Lilo & Stitch, which come out in 2025.
