New Attractions In 2025, we will see several new attractions coming to Disney World this will change where you will be spending your time in the parks. You will want to plan on staying at Magic Kingdom at night to catch the new parade offering will be known as Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away. ©Disney We will also see a new villain show: Unfairly Ever After open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in summer 2025. Also at Hollywood Studios, “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” will reopen after an extended closure in 2020. We also are getting Zootopia: Better Zoogether — a new show coming to the Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. ©Disney Ride it One Last Time You’ve probably heard that some of its classic attractions are set to close their doors permanently, and if these are some of your favorites, you should make time to say goodbye to them. Here’s what’s on the chopping block: DINOSAUR and It’s Tough To Be A Bug at Animal Kingdom Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island at Magic Kingdom Muppet*Vision 3D at Hollywood Studios Dinosaur Take photos in front of these attractions and bring tissues because, after this year, they will be gone! We love The Muppets! Down for Refurbishment There are a few attractions that will be closed for refurbishment during 2025: Big Thunder Mountain (From January 6th for a year) Astro Orbitor (January 13th until Summer 2025) Hall of Presidents (January 20th with no end date) Test Track (until late summer 2025) Gran Fiesta Tour (January 13th until March) Kali River Rapids (January 6th for a few months) Test Track If these are some of your must-dos, go ahead and plan to use that time you would have used to ride it and do something you’ve never done before! Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Construction With the new exciting lands coming to both Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, we can expect to see some construction walls coming up in 2025. Cars Land is coming to Magic Kingdom and will be located where Rivers of America is so we expect to have a lot of construction here. This could cause some changes with locations available to stand for the parade, especially in Frontierland. ‘Cars’ area in Magic Kingdom ©Disney The Tropical Americas aka Pueblo Esperanza is taking over Dinoland U.S.A. so we will be seeing some walking paths changed here. Since Dinosaur is staying open through 2025, only part of Dinoland will be blocked off. @Disney We also have Muppets Courtyard is becoming Monsters, Inc. Land in Hollywood Studios. While we don’t have a timeline on this, we might see some walls go up here. ©Disney New Lounges We have two new lounges opening up in 2025. If you want to hit these new spots, you might want to prioritize visiting and carving out time in the parks to do so. This could mean sacrificing a few rides or a show to make time for these. We have a new Spaceship Earth lounge opening in EPCOT before the Summer of 2025. ©Disney We also have the Pirates of the Caribbean tavern opening in late 2025. We are expecting this tavern to be a very popular place so you will want to plan accordingly if you are interested in grabbing a drink here. ©Disney Water Park Perk There is a NEW perk for those staying at Disney World hotels. On the day you check-in, you’ll be able to get a FREE ticket for your entire party to one of Disney World’s two water parks, Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon (whichever one is open at the time). These tickets generally run around $70 per person per day, so that’s a pretty sweet perk. Instead of heading straight to the parks or Disney Springs, you could be hitting the water slides. Blizzard Beach We have a lot to look forward to in 2025 at Disney World. Be sure to stay tuned to DFB for the latest news and tips to plan your trip!
