There are so many things to think about like which snacks you want to try, the place you want to stay, the way you’re getting to the parks, and more. The fact that Disney is constantly changing doesn’t make it any easier so we’re wrapping up the the biggest Disney news stories from this week all in one place! It’s been a big week for Disney news! Starting with some overseas Disney happenings, the Disney Adventure is gearing up to set sail. The Disney Adventure is the latest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet and it’s expected to set sail later in 2025 from Singapore. This week Disney revealed even more info on the new ship. ©Disney The new ship will have several different areas including Disney Imagination Garden, Marvel Landing, Disney Discovery Reef, Wayfinder Bay, Town Square, and Toy Story Place. For this week’s announcements, we found out Marvel Style Studio is going to help everyone’s superhero dreams come to life through makeup, costumes, and hair! This spot will also turn into an adult-only lounge in the evening. ©Disney Cruise Line Duffy and Friends will be prominent faces on this cruise thanks to the new “Duffy and the Friend Ship” show, the Duffy and Friends Shop, a new meet and greet, and the Duffy and Friends Discovery Quest! The show will feature original songs as Duffy and his pals set sail on an imaginary adventure. The Discovery Quest will also be an interactive game for guests to play throughout the ship. ©Disney Cruise Line The Royal Society for Friendship and Tea will bring an afternoon tea experience to the high seas with Disney Princesses! The tea will be an afternoon full of treats, stories, and music that all help “teach children the society’s values of kindness, bravery, and determination.” ©Disney Cruise Line Finally, “Captain Jack Sparrow & The Siren Queen” is an all-new show that will Captain Jack Sparrow and his band of pirates battling an “ink-squirting squid” during their hunt for a rare treasure! ©Disney Cruise Line We can’t wait to see all of these when the ship finally sets sail in 2025! Learn More About The Disney Adventure News Next up, Disney World is taking center stage with the rest of the news. First is the news that the permits have been approved for construction working toward the major Magic Kingdom expansion coming soon! The new Villains Land coming to Magic Kingdom will feature fan-favorite Disney Villains from popular Walt Disney Animation Studios films and two new attractions. The Magic Kingdom expansion includes major ride additions, shopping, and dining through two additions focusing on a Cars area in Frontierland and a brand-new Villains Land behind Big Thunder Mountain. The permit was approved by the South Florida Water Management District. Coming to Frontierland at Magic Kingdom, a new area themed to Pixar Animation Studios’ “Cars” will leave Radiator Springs and head to the wilderness with two new attractions including an off-road race. This project is for the construction and operation of a stormwater management treatment facility just east of Magic Kingdom. It also includes pavement upgrades, facility renovations, and other minor upgrades around the area. This is the first major hurdle these expansions have passed so it could signal construction beginning soon. More Details About The New Permit Approval Next up, Disney Springs is making big moves by letting us know that LEVEL99 is replacing the former NBA Experience! LEVEL99 is a home for “real-world, challenge-based, social entertainment” for adults with over 50 physical and mental challenges set in artistic environments. Future home of LEVEL99 This new spot is essentially like a huge, futuristic arcade for adults! Disney shared that this will be the largest LEVEL99 to date with over 60 challenge rooms and duels. This will be a major addition to Disney Springs and we can’t wait to see this abandoned building brought back to life. We will admit though, we still miss DisneyQuest. What Is LEVEL99 and What Do You Need To Know About the NEW Disney Springs Location? To wrap up our weekly news, Magic Kingdom and EPCOT are about to experience some major changes because Virtual Queues are going away! Starting on February 25th, the virtual queues for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will be removed giving guests access to a traditional queue for these attractions. Cosmic Rewind We can expect these lines to be pretty long and to impact how you’ll rope drop these two parks on your next trip. You can still purchase lightning lanes for these attractions if you want to skip the lines but if you’re not paying, hop in line! We’re excited that there won’t be any more 7 AM or 1 PM stressful moments for now. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom Now this doesn’t mean virtual queues are gone forever! We anticipate we will see the return of these virtual lines when another major attraction opens in the park (although we aren’t sure when that will be exactly.) Why 7 AM Doesn’t Matter in Disney World Anymore There you have it folks!
