We Made a Map of the BEST Places to Park in Disney World

Recommended Posts

There’s a lot to think about when planning your trip to Disney World. But we bet, out of all of the possible things swimming in your head, there’s one you haven’t thought of: parking.

We know it’s not the most magical thought when it comes to visiting Disney World, but it can be an important one. And so, to help you out with this, we’ve created a map of the most CHAOTIC places to park in Disney World so you can avoid or prepare.

We created this map to show you exactly where you’ll encounter the chaos. Think of this as some kind of treasure map, but instead of heading toward the gold, it leads you to a less stressful situation—or at least prepares you from being caught off guard.

Disney Springs and Magic Kingdom/TTC

Magic Kingdom

If you think parking at Magic Kingdom means pulling up right outside Cinderella Castle, think again. Magic Kingdom’s parking lot is actually located at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC), which means you’ll need to take additional transportation just to get to the park. And because it’s so grand, it can get very chaotic very quickly.

During peak hours, you could also find yourself parking at the very end of the parking lot, which means a longer time to travel through tram to the actual Transportation and Ticket Center. Unfortunately, there is no way to avoid this parking lot if you are headed to Magic Kingdom, however, we do have some advice.

Arrive early in the morning right before the park officially closes or later during the day to avoid massive lines to get a better parking spot. And, if you’re staying at a Disney World resort hotel, you can take Disney transportation that takes you directly to Magic Kingdom, avoiding the TTC altogether! So, that alone, could be a deciding factor if you’re contemplating staying at a Disney hotel.

Orange Garage at Disney Springs

Disney Springs is a shopping, dining, and entertainment hotspot, which means it gets VERY busy. So, it should be no surprise to anyone that it has made it on our map. Starting with Orange Garage.

Orange Parking Garage

Orange Garage is typically the most popular parking garage since it leads to key attractions at Disney Springs. And a full parking garage is absolute CHAOS. That’s why we suggest parking at Lime Garage which has easier access to the Marketplace and less traffic even during peak hours. The Surface Parking is also a great choice on a weekday.

Parking at Disney Springs Is About To Be More Chaotic

…But not so much on a weekend. This parking lot sees a lot of chaos on busy days since most guests think it will save them time bypassing the garages. Unfortunately, that won’t be the case. These lots fill up quickly, and,  thanks to the lack of shade, it could be a scorching hot nightmare to navigate. In this case, Lime Garage will be your best bet.
