Disney4me
The opening day of Epic Universe is right around the corner! ©Universal Epic Universe is Universal Orlando’s newest theme park, and it is set to open on May 22nd, 2025. We cannot wait to step through each of the five portals into the worlds of Celestial Park, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, Dark Universe, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic, and How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk. While we eagerly await for the park to open, here are four things to keep in mind before visiting. Here’s what you need to know! There is No Park Hopping or Single Day Tickets As of Right Now Universal is expecting Epic Universe to be popular, and for good reason; the park looks fantastic from the previews that we have seen! To help with the demand, no single-day tickets will be available for Epic Universe when the park first opens. There will also be no park-hopping. Dark Universe Concept Art ©Universal Currently, the only way to visit Epic Universe is by purchasing a vacation package or by purchasing multi-day tickets to visit the other two theme parks. The good news is that Universal said that more ticket options will be available in the future. Complete Guide to Buying Epic Universe Tickets Concept Art for Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge ©Universal Epic Universe is Not Included for Annual Passholders One of the best perks of being an Annual Passholder is being able to visit the theme parks when you please. Due to the high demand to visit Epic Universe, Annual Passholders will not be able to use their Annual Pass to visit the new park. ©Universal For the time being, Annual Passholders can purchase single-day tickets to visit Epic Universe. While it is unfortunate that this is limited and an extra cost to Annual Passholders, it is nice that there is an exception to the multi-day ticket rule. Universal Orlando Epic Universe Will Have Its Own Security Area Currently, Universal Orlando has a vast secured area, which includes CityWalk, Universal Studios Florida, and Islands of Adventure. This means that once you go through security, you do not have to go through security again, even if you are moving parks or visiting CityWalk. Security However, when Epic Universe opens in May, it will not be part of the central security hub and instead will have its own security area. If you are visiting Epic Universe, but you visit CityWalk first or vice versa, just know you will have to go through security again. CityWalk Epic Universe May Enforce a Locker Rule When we tell you the rides at Epic Universe are going to be epic, we really mean it! Currently, there are quite a few attractions at Universal that require you to put your belongings in a locker before boarding an attraction. This is done in order to make sure that you don’t lose your belongings on a ride or that they don’t hit someone or hinder the ride. Lockers at Universal While it has not been confirmed, we expect Stardust Racers, Curse of the Werewolf, Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment, Dragon Racer’s Rally, Hiccup’s Wing Gliders, and Mine-Cart Madness to use a locker system. Lockers at Universal We are so close to the opening of this new park and can’t wait to experience it for ourselves when it opens on May 22nd.
