Disney4me
Disney World is expensive; there’s no way around it, but there are ways to save a little money on your next trip. Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway Lightning Lane One of the best ways to save money, though, is to avoid pricey upgrades and extra costs, such as Lightning Lanes. Lightning Lanes are part of Disney’s paid skip-the-line service, and there are multiple tiers: Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Single Pass, and Premier Pass. If you’re planning a trip to Disney World and are considering a skip-the-line option, you might want to check the prices before you splurge. This is our warning to you that for the next few days, Lightning Lane prices are changing! We keep track of all the latest Lightning Lane price announcements to help track any price increases or decreases. The prices change based on the crowd levels in Disney World, so the closer we get to spring break, the higher we expect the prices to rise. Can’t budget for something if you don’t know how much it costs, right? In our research, we noticed that Lightning Lane prices increase dramatically in the coming days. Note that you’re not getting anything different between February 28th and March 3rd; that price increase is due to Disney’s surge pricing model. Lightning Lane at MuppetVision*3D On March 4th, pricing stays essentially the same, with the exception of the Lightning Lane Multi Pass at Hollywood Studios. Here, the price jumps up to $35 from $32, and the Rise of the Resistance Lightning Lane Single Pass increases another dollar to $25. Cosmic Rewind Lightning Lane Not to mention that Lightning Lane Premier Pass, the pass that lets you skip EVERY ride in a single park once, also sees a major price increase on March 3rd. You’ll pay $449 for Magic Kingdom, $249 for EPCOT, $349 for Hollywood Studios, and $199 for Animal Kingdom (remember that this is priced per person, per park, per day). This is an increase from the day prior, March 2nd, where Magic Kingdom’s pricing is the same, EPCOT’s is $239, Hollywood Studios is $339, and Animal Kingdom’s is $159. Lightning Lane at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT So, why the jump? Well, it’s clear Disney is expecting some major crowds on these days, as they usually bump up pricing when ticket sales show the parks will be more crowded. With that in mind, if you’re traveling through Disney World on these days, pack your patience and be ready to bob and weave around more crowds than you originally expected.
