REVIEW: I’m Not Saying That Lavender French Fries Changed My Life, But Yes, I Am.

Recommended Posts

We always look forward to stopping by the Refreshment Port during the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival.

2025 Refreshment Port

Why? Because it’s always home to one of our very favorite things: POUTINE! But not just any Poutine… (although you can enjoy Traditional Poutine here all year long). During EPCOT’s seasonal Festivals, Refreshment Port also serves up a specialty Poutine just for the current event! And this year is no different, with the Provence Poutine making its debut. We hope you’ll join us for our complete review. (In fact, you can find a review for every single Outdoor Kitchen at the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival right here!)

Menu

Because the Refreshment Port is open year-round, there are items on the menu that you’ll find even when an EPCOT Festival is not taking place, including Traditional Poutine. But it’s the NEW Provence Poutine that’s made it to the menu exclusively for the Flower and Garden Festival!

Available to drink throughout the Festival are Country Boy Brewing Raspberry Lemon Hard Cider, Villa Maria EarthGarden Sauvignon Blanc, and a Frozen Mojito with Boyd & Blair Rum.

Eats

We are definitely intrigued by the new Provence Poutine for $9, as the ingredients are unlike any other Festival Poutine the Refreshment Port has ever served.

Provence Poutine

The base of the French fries is seasoned with Herbes de Provence, and the batch is topped with goat brie, lavender honey, hazelnut croquant, and fresh lavender!

When we ordered this, we did not know what to expect, but we were pretty surprised by the brilliant seasoning. It is both an interesting and unique option.

The cheese is fantastic because it is flavorful and helps to mix up the flavor profile. We will say that if you are looking for a unique dish, then this is a great option. We were very impressed by this, and we don’t take this lightly, but we are declaring this one of our Best of the Fest Dishes!

And what does one sip with Provence Poutine? Let’s take a look…

Drinks

At Refreshment Port, there is a little something for everyone (well, everyone aged 21 and over, that is). A cocktail, a hard cider, and a wine are available to order.

The Frozen Mojito with Boyd & Blair Rum is back for its third year running, and we’re gladit’s back! It costs $13.

Frozen Mojito with Boyd & Blair Rum

In previous years, we’ve found this frozen refresher to be bright, crisp, and delicious, with just a hint of a tart taste.

If you’d like to try a fruity cider, the new Country Boy Brewing Raspberry Lemon Hard Cider ($12) is up for grabs, while the Villa Maria EarthGarden Sauvignon Blanc ($6.50) is available for wine drinkers.

OVERALL

We were really impressed by this brand-new Poutine offering! Not only does it taste good, but it is also beautiful with the fresh lavender — very on-brand for Flower and Garden! Picky eaters may have an issue with the different seasonings, but overall, this dish is nothing too crazy, yet it is still delicious! We will be returning to get the Provence Poutine, as it made our Best of the Fest list!

Thanks for joining us once again this year at the Refreshment Port! And remember, there’s a LOT more where this came from…
