Getting Started and Crowds

It was a rainy morning in EPCOT, but that did not stop people from wanting to be among the first to experience the festival. It’s a good thing many people were prepared and packed their ponchos!

We were held up for a bit

Once we were let into the park, we were held up for a bit, which made the crowds seem worse. Things started to clear up once we were let inside the park. Be warned — EPCOT Festivals tend to attract crowds, especially on the weekend.

See what the crowds are like on the first day of the festival here!

Signs and Decor

When you enter EPCOT from the front entrance, you’ll be greeted with a topiary inspired by Moana 2. There is a Moana, Maui, Pua, and Hei-Hei topiary. Plus, at nighttime, Moana’s oar and Maui’s hook light up!

EPCOT is celebrating 30 years of the Flower and Garden Festival, so there are signs throughout the park with big “30s” on them! You will also find signs and decor featuring Spike the Bee throughout the park! The banners have the cute phrase “30 Years and Growing!”

SO CUTE!

Here’s another fun banner you might spot during the event — how cute!

Only Disney Adults would be excited about trash cans, but for good reason! There are special Orange Bird trashcans for Flower and Garden! We spotted one outside of the Creations Shop!

We love that this year’s decor pays homage to 30 years of this beautiful festival, and we hope that it will continue to grow and be a staple of EPCOT’s festivals for years to come!

Festival Passport

Just like other EPCOT Festivals, the Flower & Garden Festival has its own passport packed with all the info you’d ever need about the event! We grabbed ours at the front entrance of EPCOT, but you can also find them at a majority of the kiosk areas at the outdoor kitchens, most merchandise locations, guest relations, and at the International Gateway Entrance. You can also get all this info via the My Disney Experience app.

It’s time to shop!

You will find the most Flower and Garden merchandise at the Creations Shop towards the front of EPCOT. There are typically smaller merchandise displays throughout the park, too, at spots like World Traveler, CommuniCore Hall, and The Odyssey.

No festival is complete without classic merchandise like a Loungefly bag, Spirit Jersey, and ears. It’s a good thing this festival has all of that!
