There’s a reason why some of the EPCOT World Showcase pavilions rarely change their menu items, and this unique snack is living proof!

EPCOT is home to some incredible restaurants, snacks, and quick bites that make up all of its lands and World Showcase pavilions. When you’re really looking for some eats that you just can’t seem to enjoy anywhere else in Disney World, EPCOT is certainly the place to turn. We recently rediscovered a snack that’s been around for a while, and we have to admit, it hasn’t lost its charm yet!

We recently made our way over to EPCOT for a full day of exploring and decided we wanted to pick up a snack along our route. We already know there’s a wide variety of snacks, quick-service meals, and even grab-and-go options to satisfyour hunger, but on this particular day, we were feeling extra adventurous. As we made our way around to the Morocco Pavilion in the World Showcase, we decided to stop by Tangierine Cafe for a quick bite!

Tangierine Café

This hole-in-the-wall cafe is nestled inside the front buildings, welcoming you into Morocco. The inside of the restaurant is decorated with intricate mosaic tile, while the sounds of Arabian music fill the space. This spot is known for its Mediterranean small plates of chicken or lamb Kebabs or Stone-Baked Moroccan Bread served with dips.

So, we hopped in line and placed our order for a Chermoula Chicken Kebab. This dish is made of grilled chicken tossed in spices served with Carrot-Chickpea Salad and Garlic Aïoli for $6.25.

We were actually quite surprised by this one — in a good way. We thought the chicken was well-tossed in the spices with a very mild heat that didn’t bother our taste buds in an off-putting way. In fact, we really enjoyed the slight heat to the tender chicken, and the garlic aïoli drizzled on top of the bites of chicken were a great zesty addition. The carrot-chickpea salad even had a few raisins in it, adding a little sweetness to it, which we really appreciated.

Overall, this could serve as a great snack to grab and take with you, sit for a quick break, or pick up as a way to tide you over before a bigger, more filling meal. While it’s not a complicated snack, it gets the job done and seems to be a crowd-pleaser, so there’s no wonder it’s one of the items served here most of the year. If you happen to visit EPCOT during the Flower and Garden Festival, be warned the kebabs might look a little different for the season!
