Disney4me
I love Disney villains. They are iconic, classy, wicked, and absolutely delightful. Even now, as I’m writing this, I’m wearing a Disney Villains t-shirt. The Evil Queen So you can imagine how thrilled I was to learn that a Villains-themed show is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. However, I’m one of those Disney fans that has been chasing the rumors of a Villains theme park for YEARS in Disney World, and you should have heard me screaming when Disney announced it was adding a Villains land to Magic Kingdom. Well, there’s something else I need to see come to Magic Kingdom, and it ties into that new land…a Villains-themed character dining experience. Now, Disney hasn’t given us a lot of details to go on about this Villains land, except that we know it will go behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Also, we have some concept art. Seriously, we know next to nothing about what this land could have in it. But it absolutely needs a dining spot or two, right? Villains Land ©Disney So here’s another thing: You just don’t see a lot of villains running around in Disney World, unless it’s Halloween or a special occasion, like the Villains-tine event recently held at Hollywood Studios. Sometimes, you’ll see them pop up randomly, perhaps in training for those big events. In fact, there are only a few regular meet and greets in Disney World with villains, including Gaston in Magic Kingdom, Cinderella’s Evil Stepmother and Stepsisters in Magic Kingdom, and the Evil Queen at the Storybook Dining at Artist Point dining experience at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Evil Queen at Storybook Dining at Artist Point But what if there was a character dining experience where you could meet more than just one villain? Imagine having a meal and getting a chance to chat with Cruella De Vil or snap a selfie with Jafar? Imagine Maleficent hovering over your table glowering at you. Maybe Dr. Facilier comes over to your table and asks if you’d like to meet his “Friends from the Other Side.” Or Madame Mim is just flitting around insulting folks? The possiblities are ENDLESS. Dr. Facilier in EPCOT This dining experience OBVIOUSLY needs to be located in Maleficent’s castle that we see in the concept art in the new Villains land, right? Maybe you take an elevator up to the castle where you’ll also have a scenic view of the Villains land. Y’all…that would be EPIC. ©Disney As far as the menu goes, I don’t really care what the food is like, although I think I would prefer it NOT to be a buffet, but more like something at Storybook Dining at Artist Point. We’re talking elevated villains-inspired dishes with elevated character experience, you know? We also need a whole menu of cocktails and mocktails inspired by villains, too (I’ll have Yzma’s Potion, thank you very much). The Underworld Cocktail at Top of the World lounge Granted, we know that there will probably be villains wandering around and meeting guests in the new Villains land, but as most of us know, a character dining experience is a guarantee to meet them without having to wait in long lines. And I, for one, would pay more than I would ever pay for Cinderella’s Royal Table (which is $74 per adult). I would pay beaucoup bucks for some guaranteed time with some of Disney’s baddies. I love you Aurora, but I want to see Maleficent So, Disney, if you’re paying attention, I’m going to need you to get to working on that Villains restaurant and dining experience RIGHT NOW. I’m ready to make my reservation and I will give you a lot of money to meet my favorite Disney villains while munching on whatever food you offer. And I bet I’m not alone. Who’s with me?
