At a SXSW panel on March 8th, 2025, Disney shared quite a few exciting updates about upcoming NEW rides at Disney World and Disneyland! While we got a sneak peek at several different attractions, a recent video from Disney Imagineering has revealed even more details that have now officially been confirmed by the House of Mouse.

We got an exciting new look at Avengers Infinity Defense, which is a new attraction coming to Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure. During this ride, you’ll get to assemble with the Avengers and battle Thanos throughout multiple worlds.

Not only that, but while sharing some behind-the-scenes footage of the development of a new Cars attraction coming to Magic Kingdom, Disney confirmed that the ride vehicle — which will be a car (duh) — will “steer itself through a track system.”

Imagineers actually took a trip out to Arizona to take a ride in some real off-road vehicles to provide some inspiration. Afterward, they worked with a motocross company to build a dirt track and work on creating new ride vehicles.

We also got a look at the testing of Stark Flight Labs with an actual person in the ride vehicle!

While we’re still learning about this ride, we do know that it will have passengers sit in two-person pods that get deployed to a test station where they will be grabbed by a robot arm and then moved around in a simulated flight. Disney also teased ride variation, making sure this is a unique ride experience that will garner repeat rides.
