Driving to Disney World While some people choose to fly into the Orlando International Airport (MCO), others prefer to drive to the Most Magical Place on Earth. There is something truly magical after you spend hours driving to Disney World and you finally get to go under the iconic Disney World sign. If you are considering packing up the car and taking the gang to Disney World by driving, here are five things you should keep in mind! Let’s get into it! Check Your Hotel’s Parking Fees Standard parking is complimentary for all guests staying at a Disney World resort; however, if you choose to stay off property, this might not be the case. Some people like to take a split vacation where they visit both Disney World and Universal on the same trip. The obvious answer is yes, of course you can! But once again you have to think about both time and money. At the end of the day, it is totally up to you, but if driving an EV is going to take longer due to stops and cost more, you may want to consider flying in or renting a gas-powered car. Currently, only Disney’s Riviera Resort, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort have charging stations. You may want to consider a stay at one of these resorts if you are planning to drive an EV. Otherwise, chargers are available on a first come, first served basis at all four Disney World theme parks. While we know the anticipation can build up when you finally arrive at Disney World, pay attention to the speed limit as it can drop.
