Disney4me
It’s time we had a little talk with Disney Adults. Magic Kingdom We consider ourselves Disney Adults, so when we say this, know it’s coming from a place of love: Some of ya’ll aren’t following the rules. This is especially true at Magic Kingdom. Do you need to change your habits or are you following all the rules? Read below to find out! When it comes to rules for Disney Adults, there are some unwritten and some very much etched in the Disney Parks rulebooks. For this one, we’re going over the latter. Don’t Dress Up in Costumes Unless you’re attending a Disney event that explicitly states you can dress up in a costume, don’t. Princess Tiana at 1900 Park Fare According to the official Disney World rules, “Costumes may not be worn in our theme parks, water parks or ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex by Guests ages 14 or older. Masks may not be worn by any Guests ages 14 or older (unless required for medical purposes). When worn by younger Guests, masks may not cover the entire face and must provide unobstructed peripheral vision at all times with openings that allow the eyes to be fully seen.” Princess Aurora Disney Adults have found a work around with DisneyBounding, which is a way of tailoring your outfit to look like a Disney character without actually being a costume. Princesses! | @erin_isabella_99 DisneyBounding is a great middle ground, but when trying to look like a princess, really make sure you don’t blur the line between looking like a guest and an actual Disney princess. At Magic Kingdom, where kids especially expect to meet Disney royalty, this rule is one you should definitely follow. Don’t Smoke in the Park While Magic Kingdom does have designated smoking areas, SMOKING IN SMOKE-FREE AREAS COULD LEAD TO SEVERE PUNISHMENT. Smoking area Per Disney World, “Smoking marijuana or other illegal substances is not permitted at any time. For the comfort of all Guests, Walt Disney World theme parks, water parks, and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex are smoke free. The smoking of tobacco, e-cigarettes or other products that produce a vapor or smoke is allowed only in designated outdoor smoking areas.” Magic Kingdom’s smoking area is located outside the entrance on the pathway to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Don’t Obstruct Walkways We often talk about how people obstructing walkways and entrances is a pet peeve of ours, but did you know doing so actually violates Disney World rules? 2025 Rope Drop Crowds The Disney World rules state that “obstructing sidewalks, entrances, driveways, patios, vestibules, stairways, corridors, halls or landings” is strictly prohibited. Tomorrowland Crowds As Disney Adults, we totally get wanting to take your time and really soak in all the sights and sounds Magic Kingdom has to offer.
