Let’s go!

These after hours, hard-ticketed offerings have different themes depending on the season. From Sweethearts’ Nite to Grad Nite to 90s Nite, we’ve seen all kinds of fun options. But one of the most popular choices the past few years? Star Wars Nite! And we got to check it out.

This year, Star Wars Nite is happening on select dates from April 8th through May 6th, and we were there on the first night of the season. Tickets start at $169 per person, and at the time of publishing, there are still some dates available!

The event goes from 9PM to 1AM at Disneyland Park, but those with event tickets can get inside as early as 6PM. One of the big draws for many fans is that you can dress up in costume, and there’s even a special cavalcade for those wearing Star Wars gear. But what else is available? And is it worth the cost? Let’s break it down.

Entertainment

There are LOTS of entertainment options available during Star Wars Nite. Make sure to bring your lightsaber along with you so you can show up at the Millennium Falcon for A Gathering of the Resistance with Rey. Disney describes it as a “powerful show of unity.”

If you want to learn how to wield that lightsaber like a Jedi, then head to Fantasyland Theater for the Lightsaber Instructional. This one was popular with kids and adults alike!

Throughout the night on the Rivers of America, we spotted the iconic band Figrin D’an and the Modal Nodes playing their best cantina music. They float by to add to the ambiance.

Our favorite cantina band!

Remember that costume cavalcade we mentioned? That’s the Fans of the Force Costume Cavalcade. Anyone dressed in Star Wars costumes or cosplay can join — you just need to meet in Town Square 10 minutes prior to the show.

The cavalcade marches down Main Street, U.S.A. and ends in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, where everyone takes a picture with Mickey and Minnie. How fun!

Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga is a projection show in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge that lights up the spires of Batuu.

And of course, it wouldn’t be a Disney nighttime event without a DJ! You can find the Galactic DJ Party Zone on Main Street, U.S.A.

Choose Your Path is an interactive duel of the fates-type show on Main Street, U.S.A. You get to watch a battle with the light and the dark!

Choose Your Path

Ahead of the show, make sure to find the signs around the park that let you actually CHOOSE your path. Scan the QR code for whichever side of the Force you want to represent.

And finally, you can wrap up the night with the Fond Farewell, featuring Mickey and Minnie in their Star Wars-inspired gear on the train station.

Seriously, there’s SO much entertainment during this event!

Characters

Another big draw for Star Wars Nite is the character experiences. We didn’t get the chance to see everyone, but we spotted Luke Skywalker in Galaxy’s Edge and stopped to chat.

In other various places around the park (check the event map for specific locations), we saw Anakin Skywalker

Other characters you may spot include Emperor Palpatine, Boba Fett, The Mandalorian with Grogu, Ahsoka Tano, and many others.

Food Offerings

We tried out two different food options during our visit. First was the Wookiee Whoopie Pie at Alien Pizza Planet. This one’s inspired by Chewbacca and even has crunchy pearls lining the sides for a little extra texture.

If you’re in the mood for something more savory, we also stopped by Hungry Bear Jamboree to get the Porg Belly Sandwich. This one was a bit more satisfying for a meal.

There are several other specialty snacks available during the event — just check out that map to find the guide to the eats.

If you’re in the mood for a sit-down meal, you can also find specialty dining at Cafe Orleans and Oga’s Cantina during Star Wars Nite. Reservations are available on the Disneyland website or app.

Merchandise

They even have exclusive merchandise for Star Wars Nite! You’ll find this collection available at a few stores around the park during the event. There’s apparel, Minnie ears, pins, cups, and other exclusive collectibles.

There’s also a special Tauntaun popcorn bucket! Find this at popcorn stands during Star Wars Nite.

You’re definitely going to want to bring some bonus cash for souvenirs.

Atmosphere

In general, this park is a lot less crowded during Star Wars Nite than it is during the day. They sell a limited number of tickets to keep the crowds to a minimum.

Crowds

Walkways were pretty open throughout the night, and wait times were quite reasonable.

Main Street, U.S.A.

The Star Wars rides are likely going to be the most popular attractions throughout the night — Star Tours, Rise of the Resistance, and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. We definitely found that Galaxy’s Edge was one of the more popular places to be.

Ultimately, this is a great way to experience Disneyland with fewer people!

Is It Worth the Cost?

This event is designed specifically with Star Wars fans in mind, and if you’re a die-hard fan, then this could totally be worth the cost for you! Having the chance to dress up in costumes and cosplays in the park is a big deal, and the characters available during this event are pretty rare.

Star Wars Nite

Add all those things in with the awesome entertainment offerings, and this is basically a Star Wars fan’s dream come true. It celebrates all eras of the franchise, so whether you love the new movies or the OG trilogy, you’ll find something to do here.

The castle all lit up.

However, you ARE paying a fair amount to be in the park for a limited number of hours, so we recommend scheduling your evening out ahead of time. Make sure that you have a priority list going in of what you want to do, because it’ll be nearly impossible to accomplish everything.

dlr-2025-disneyland-after-dark-star-wars

Tomorrowland

If you’re not a Star Wars fan, you probably won’t enjoy this very much, except for the lower wait times on rides and attractions. It’s ultimately up to you whether the cost is worth it for your trip!
