We’re Sorry To Tell You, But You Need To AVOID Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Recommended Posts

There is one BIG reason to avoid staying at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort in 2025.

Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows opened in December 2024, and we thought that might have been the last we saw of construction at the hotel. However, that does not seem to be the case for another whole year. Unfortunately, this construction might cause you to think twice before booking your 2025 Disney World vacation here.

On Disney’s website, they shared that “some areas of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows are being refurbished through 2026″. Guests may see and hear some daytime construction, starting at 9:00 AM. Construction at hotels can cause some headaches with loud noises, eye sores, and even things not accessible.

But that’s not all. Additionally, “some views of the theme parks and other surrounding areas may be impacted“.  It’s not clear if this would be theme park view rooms or the theme park view from the common areas of the resort. But if this is something that is a make-or-break to you, you might want to stay at other Disney hotels with that view, including Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Bay Lake Tower, or Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

While we love the theming and the food at this resort, you might want to delay staying here until all of the construction work is complete. This resort is beautiful, and seeing it at its full potential seems like a good reason to hold off spending your vacation here. You can always still go by to visit Trader Sam’s or grab dinner at ‘Ohana.
