Disney4me
A lot is happening in Disney World and Disneyland, but Disney’s international parks are also getting a lot of huge updates. Disneyland Park Entrance Over in Disneyland Paris, work is underway to transform Walt Disney Studius Park into Disney Adventure World, which will feature entirely reimagined lands, as well as a land dedicated to The Lion King. Now, we’ve heard a little bit about some of the progress being made on Adventure World, but Disneyland Paris just dropped a TON of details about Adventure World, as well as other big plans being made for the resort. Adventure World will invite visitors to step into the adventures of some of Disney’s most iconic movies. The project will transform about 90% of Walt Disney Studios into something new, which will include new lands, including the Lion King land and World of Frozen. Disney recently revealed that the park’s Adventure Way will feature a new family-friendly ride themed around Up. This swings-type ride will be located across from Raiponce Tangled Spin. ©Disney Speaking of the Raiponce Tangled Spin, the ride vehicles have arrived, so we have a first look at those. Also, GREAT news: Mandy Moore, who originally voiced Rapunzel in Tangled, will reprise her role for announcements for the ride. ©Disney Adventure Way will also have a brand-new restaurant, Regal View Restaurant & Lounge. This will be a character dining experience with princesses. The restaurant will also offer a great view of a new nighttime show (we’ll get to that in a bit). ©Disney Okay, let’s talk about that new nighttime show. The show will happen above a new lake, Adventure Bay, and will include giant water screens, fountains, special effects, and new water drone technology. ©Disney Adventure Way has themed gardens with more than a thousand trees, 100,000 shrubs, and statues of Woody and Jessie in the Toy Story Garden. It sounds STUNNING! ©Disney We also got even MORE details about the Lion King land and its new ride. This all-new water ride will “plunge guests deep into the heart of the Pride Lands.” There, Simba will take you on an adventure that will include some of the most iconic songs from the 1994 animated film The Lion King. Disney released brand-new concept art to show what the ride will look like. ©Disney Disney also announced the opening date for World Premiere in Adventure World: May 15th, 2025. This will be the brand new park entrance with a completely reimagined interior with new decor and a new storyline. ©Disney Stepping inside will drop guests in the middle of a glamorous Hollywood premiere. This area will also feature a new quick service dining spot, The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant. Disney is also adding a new snack kiosk called Searchlight Kiosk, as well as a shop called Mickey’s of Hollywood Boutique. ©Disney After World Premiere, there’s the World Premiere Plaza, which is inspired by Broadway and London’s West End. This area will have several theaters celebrating Disney and Pixar stories, including TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure, Mickey and the Magician, and Frozen: A Musical Invitation. The area will feature new pathways, colorful murals, new landscaped areas, and Art Deco-inspired street furniture. This area is expected to be completed in 2026, ahead of the official opening of Disney Adventure World. ©Disney Want to see what the whole of Adventure World will look like? If you’re visiting Animation Celebration in Walt Disney Studios on April 19th or later, a scale model of Adventure World will be on display. ©Disney Disney even dropped an update about World of Frozen. Imagineers continue to work on the new land, including North Mountain, which used nearly 400 tons of metal. It was then covered with sculpted concrete and hand-painted. Imagineers are also busy putting together the interior of the Frozen Ever After ride. ©Disney Over in Disney Village, new shops and restaurants are on the way. Two new shops recently opened there, Disney Glamour and Disney Style. A LEGO store, as well as Deco by Disney, will open on April 19th. In the fall, the Disney Store will close to become a reimagined shop, Disney Wonders. ©Disney Here’s concept art of the interior of that shop: ©Disney New restaurants are also coming to Disney Village. Brasserie Rosalie will expand to offer a terrace called Petite Rosalie. ©Disney Sports Bar & Lounge will reopen with a brand new look. A McDonald’s will open in 2026, as well as a new Italian Restaurant, Casa Giulia. ©Disney Finally, Disney Sequoia Lodge will receive a huge update. Starting in 2026, the hotel will undergo a transformation and get a new design “that pays homage to the beauty of nature while its theming will add nods to both classic and recent Disney characters who call the forest home.” ©Disney Whew — that is a LOT, but it’s exciting seeing so many changes and updates in Disney Parks across the world.
