Disney4me
Magic Kingdom already had the most rides of all the Disney World parks, and within the past few years, it’s added even more to its attraction roster! Cinderella’s Castle The hardest thing to navigate on a Magic Kingdom day is getting every attraction in. The key is to rope drop the newest rides, and we have the secret on how to get that done! Can you believe that TRON Lightcycle / Run is already basically two years old?! Back in April 2023, TRON Lightcycle / Run opened over in Tomorrowland, taking guests on their very own two-wheeled Lightcycles and launching them into the grid. The thrilling one-of-a-kind experience reaches speeds up to 59 miles per hour! Tron! The following year we saw the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which debuted in June 2024. It kept the exact same log flume track and ride system, but replaced the former Splash Mountain theme with an updated Princess and the Frog theme. The ride introduced new characters, new music, and a new setting! Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! Being the newest rides in the park comes with having the longest lines. Their lines can get super long by the middle of the day. Of course, you can pay to skip the lines, using Disney’s Lightning Lane services. But if you don’t want to pay for Lightning Lane, then your best bet is to wake up bright and early! TRON Lightcycle / Run The shortest line for either one of these new rides is right at rope drop — when the park opens! Of course, there are those weird occasions where the wait time is unusually and randomly low in the middle of the day, but that barely happens. There will be guests inside the park before the park’s official opening hours. This is because of a sweet Disney hotel guest perk, Early Theme Park Entry! This grants all Disney hotel guests 30 minutes of extra time inside the parks each day before they open for everyone else. What people don’t realize, though, is that both TRON and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure are NOT open during this time. Early entry sign! That being said, Magic Kingdom did recently make a change that’ll still put Early Entry guests at an advantage for getting to be the first on TRON! Before, the only Magic Kingdom areas you could access during Early Entry were Fantasyland and Tomorrowland (with the exception of TRON). While these areas are still the only areas where you can ride rides before Magic Kingdom’s official opening time, Early Entry guests can now get in line for TRON — even before it officially opens for the day! TRON Lightcycle / Run opens at 9 AM This means if you are a hotel guest with early entry, you can be one of the first inside the TRON queue, and on the ride! If you don’t have Early Entry, though, you may want to head straight to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure — since Frontierland isn’t open during that 30-minute Early Entry period, you have a better chance of getting to the front of the line as the ride is opening for the day. Standby queue at TRON Rope dropping is the best way to get on the popular rides first at low wait times, and truly maximize your day.
