Disney4me
Ahoy, sailors, superheroes, and snack fans! We’ve brought you all together for an important discussion. We’re reporting LIVE from our first preview of the Disney Destiny cruise ship, and we’ve got a LOT to talk about. ©Disney The NEW Disney Destiny sets sail on November 20th, 2025! Picture the classic Disney Cruise ships we know and love, but with an epic twist. The Disney Destiny will be a sister ship to the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, and Disney revealed that the ship will have a first-of-its-kind design theme: Heroes and Villains. In fact, the design will draw “on the legacies of beloved Disney stories, characters, and theme park attractions,” highlighting characters from The Lion King, One Hundred and One Dalmatians, and Hercules. Now that we know the basics, let’s talk about the FOOD! Hope you’re hungry — because we’re eating GOOD on this new ship. As part of a special preview of the Disney Destiny, we got the chance to sample some of the new menu items! First up, we got a taste of Edna Á La Mode Sweets! The Incredibles-themed is a specialty dessert and confectionery shop. ©Disney The new shop will have several flavors, but we got a glimpse at four of the cupcakes! Violet’s Cupcake – Purple Velvet Sponge Cake with white chocolate mousse, purple mirror glaze, sprinkles, and chocolate décor Mr. Incredible’s Cupcake – Double Chocolate Fudge Cake with chocolate truffle mousse, dark chocolate velvet finish, gold confetti, and chocolate décor Edna À La Mode Cupcake – Vanilla Marble Sponge Cake with white chocolate mousse, red mirror glaze, sprinkles, and chocolate décor Elastigirl’s Cupcake – Orange-Almond Cake with raspberry mousse, orange chocolate velvet finish, sprinkles, and chocolate décor We got to try Violet’s Cupcake during the event! A little something sweet! We thought this was really tasty! There was mousse instead of icing, which was light and creamy without being too much. (We know AJ would hate this, but our reporter enjoyed it!) The cake itself was moist, purple, and light, but didn’t have a ton of flavor. It was a nice vanilla which we enjoyed. It was so cute! We would definitely consider paying the upcharge for this once the ship sets sail. We also got to sample the Circle of the Cosmos from the Sanctum Lounge! The Sanctum will be Disney Cruise Line’s first lounge inspired by the powerful sorcerers and mystical artifacts of Doctor Strange, featuring familiar icons like the Cloak of Levitation and spell books from the library of Kamar-Taj. The centrally located entertainment parlor will host a variety of activities throughout the voyage, offering guests a magical array of mocktails, cocktails, spirits, and coffees along with entrancing tableside beverage experiences and exclusive menu items that seemingly materialize from across the multiverse. (Disney) This drink was Brunswick Aces Diamonds Gin, verjus blanc, and fresh lemon juice, garnished with a lemon peel spiral! The drink was non-alcoholic, which we thought was a nice addition to the menu. The Circle of the Cosmos It was tart but not unpleasant! It had a slight and pleasant ginger flavor, and it wasn’t overwhelming. It reminded us almost of a ginger lemonade, although the non-alcoholic gin had an aftertaste that reminded us a bit of soap. A closer look! It wasn’t totally off-putting though! It has a great presentation, which we appreciated. We also tried the Vapors of Valtorr, which was Grey Goose Altius Vodka, ginger beer, fresh lime juice, and butterfly pea flower syrup, topped with berry-flavored bubbles. It had an amazing presentation, which you can see here. These are calling our name #disneydestiny #hosted pic.twitter.com/K2brFu9yce — Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) April 14, 2025 We really loved this one! It was essentially a souped-up Moscow Mule, but it was super balanced, unlike a mule. This was delightful and had an amazing presentation. We would happily get it again. Dining Overview The Disney Destiny is home to three restaurants as part of Disney Cruise Line’s signature Rotational Dining, where you can enjoy dinner at three unique restaurants while your wonderful crew servers rotate with you! ©Disney Disney teased a brand-new restaurant coming to the Disney Destiny called Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King. This spot is a theatrical dining experience that will be the FIRST themed to the beloved Walt Disney Animation Studios film. Look out for your favorite Lion King songs and animals and nature that make up the African savanna. ©Disney Up next is restaurant #2 on our list, a returning favorite first seen on the Disney Wish! Get ready to go on a Marvel dining adventure at Worlds of Marvel! ©Disney Oh, and while we’re on the subject, you may also experience Avengers: Quantum Encounter, as seen on the Disney Wish. Click HERE to get an in-depth look at the Worlds of Marvel dining experience! Finally, there’s one more returning restaurant coming to the Disney Destiny. It’s called 1923, named after the founding year of Walt Disney Animation Studios. 1923 Restaurant This restaurant takes you on a journey through animation. The dining areas are decorated as an upscale Hollywood setting with “a dash of Disney whimsy.” Look out for “storyboards, sketches, and props recalling the heroes and villains of classic Disney animated movies” aboard the Disney Destiny! Check out MORE of 1923 HERE! BUT WAIT! There’s MORE. The Disney Destiny will have several adult-exclusive spaces, including some FUN lounges: Cask and Cannon — a Pirates of the Caribbean-themed bar Haunted Mansion Parlor — The Haunted Mansion Parlor will materialize on the Disney Destiny! We’ve visited the Parlor on the Disney Treasure, but there’s always room for one more… De Vil’s Piano Lounge — a new over-the-top lounge inspired by Cruella De Vil herself The Sanctum — Disney Cruise Line’s first lounge inspired by Doctor Strange and his mystical arts ©Disney In addition to the sit-down dining locations and lounges, there will also be some quick-service restaurants on the ship. The Marceline Market is coming to the Disney Destiny! Marceline Market Plus, you’ll be able to stop by character-inspired food stations, such as we’ve seen with Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods on the Disney Wish. These spots will serve up quick bites throughout the day and well into the evening. Disney Treasure Finally, stop by for a nice drink (or an ice cream treat) at the following locations: Café Megara — Themed after Disney Animation’s Hercules, the spot will present what Disney has deemed a “Greco disco” design Café Merida — Café Merida is another walk-up cafe located just off the Grand Hall. This tribute to Brave‘s feisty heroine, Merida, will feature a “Celtic-centered” design Edna Á La Mode Sweets — Edna Á La Mode Sweets will be a specialty dessert shop and confectionery themed to the well-known fashion designer from Pixar’s The Incredibles The Destiny will offer 4- and 5-night cruises to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean during its inaugural season, with voyages stopping at one or both of Disney Cruise Line’s destinations — Castaway Cay and the new Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. For Summer 2026, the Destiny will offer 3- to 7-night cruises to The Bahamas as well as the Eastern and Western Caribbean.
