Disney4me
There are HUNDREDS of places to eat around Disney World, and just hearing that sentence often makes people panic. Our meal at Cinderella’s Royal Table We totally understand why — that’s A LOT to think about — but that’s why we’re here! We’ve tried every single restaurant in Disney World and continue to go back to make sure we’re keeping up with the latest menu items and see how the quality is holding up to help you decide where to go. However, there are some restaurants that are MUCH more popular than others and reservations often fill up fast. If any of these are on your list for your next trip, keep a close eye out and be ready to snag them as soon as your 60-day window opens up! Cinderella’s Royal Table Cinderella’s Royal Table is located in Magic Kingdom, but what makes it extra special is that you’ll dine INSIDE Cinderella Castle! It’s the only way you’re able to step inside the iconic attraction other than the Cinderella Castle Suite, which is rarely open to any guests other than major contest winners. Cinderella’s Royal Table This is a character dining meal that allows you to meet multiple of Disney’s most iconic and loved Princesses, and while the prix-fixe meal isn’t for everyone (and is, in fact, one of the main complaints for this restaurant), it’s a must-stop for those who love Disney Princesses and/or just want to experience this unforgettable meal at least once. Hey Merida! With that being said, reservations for this spot fill up fast and aren’t commonly available on the day of your trip, so be sure you’re ready to book 60 days in advance of your trip starting! Read our most recent review here! Homecomin’ Over in Disney Springs, you’ll find an abundance of delicious restaurants to choose from. One of our absolute favorites, especially for breakfast and brunch, is Homecomin’, but unfortunately for us, it’s everyone else’s favorite too! Homecomin’ Homecomin’ specializes in classic comfort American options — at breakfast and brunch that looks like chicken and waffles, breakfast sandwiches, biscuits and gravy, french toast, and more, and for dinner, you’ll find chicken biscuits, a cuban sandwich, country fried steak, fried chicken and donuts, and so much more. Art’s Famous Fried Chicken These reservations go lightning fast for breakfast and brunch, but you’ll often have an easier time finding one for lunch or dinner (especially dinner). Reservations are only available through the Disney World website or My Disney Experience app, so again, make sure you’re booking right at that 60 day in advance mark! Read our most recent Homecomin’ review here! The Cake Bake Shop One of the newest restaurants in Disney World is The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers over at Disney’s BoardWalk and WOW is it popular! The high prices are a bit of a controversial point for many, but the fantastic quality of the food and experience makes it a great stop for people who are looking for an extra special meal to celebrate a certain occasion. There are actually two sides to this spot — a bakery side that requires no reservation but only serves up the decadent cake slices and desserts the store offers, and then the actual restaurant that does require advance dining reservations. We’ll be the first to admit that while these dining reservations go fast for most opportune dining times, you can often find some a few days in advance of the day you’re looking to dine. The Cake Bake Shop Now, reservations for this spot work a little differently than other restaurants in Disney World — to book, you’ll need to head to OpenTable instead of the Disney World website! Read our most recent review of dinner at The Cake Bake Shop here! Chef Mickey’s Located at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is Chef Mickey’s, one of, if not THE, most popular character meals in all of Disney World. This spot has been iconic for decades now, and it’s especially a highly sought after breakfast spot for those on their first Disney World vacation and/or those traveling with little ones. Chef Mickey’s Card This is a buffet-style restaurant that serves up options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but again, we’ve found breakfast to be the most booked-up option very consistently. Here you’ll get to meet all five members of the Fab 5, which again, is what makes it so popular! You’ll get to say hello to Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto in their adorable chef outfits, the only spot in the entire resort you’ll get to see them in this garb! Hi Mickey! Now, we’ll be the first to admit that this buffet isn’t even CLOSE to the best one in Disney World, and we’ve had a lot of readers leave here pretty disappointed in the food but not the character interaction. The price you pay here is for mediocre buffet food that won’t blow your mind, but for exciting character experiences that you won’t soon forget. Check out our most recent review of Chef Mickey’s! Victoria & Albert’s Despite what some people believe, there ARE high-end dining options available in Disney World, and one of the best is Victoria & Albert’s. Dining here costs a pretty penny, but we’ve heard very few people disappointed by this luxury dining experience. Victoria & Albert’s The menu is beyond what you’ll find anywhere else on property — it’s multiple courses (don’t expect to just be able to go back into the parks to finish out the day after this!), and is fantastic for those who enjoy elite, high-end dining experiences. Amuse Bouche trio at Victoria & Albert’s You’ll receive a personalized menu, impeccable service, and an experience you’ll recount to any of your friends and family that will listen. Check out our most recent review here! If you’re planning on dining at a lot of Disney World table service restaurants, it might be worth it to look into getting the Dining Plan for your trip. It’s not for every group, and there’s a LOT of eating you’ve got to do to get the most of out it, but it’s certainly worth looking into before your trip begins.
