Disney4me
Heading to Disney World with the whole family can create some of the most magical moments. Bringing all the grandparents, cousins, and kiddos makes the best photos, but where will you eat with your entire family? Don’t worry — we have some suggestions! Magic Kingdom Some Disney restaurants are better for larger parties, and we’ve compiled some of our favorites for your next family vacation. Now with a large party, it’s especially important to have reservations! You can make them 60 days in advance in the My Disney Experience app. Reservations open at 6 AM Eastern Time, and yes, we do recommend setting an alarm. You can search for reservations for up to 20 people in the app — but if your party is THAT large (we’re talking 10+), we suggest you call Disney World at (407) WDW-DINE (that’s 407-939-3463) to ask about a reservation. We’ve had better luck with getting seating for larger parties that way — especially since the best arrangement is often two tables next to each other rather than a lengthy span worth of the Beast’s formal dining room. Quick Service Restaurants Flame Tree Barbecue Flame Tree Barbecue Located in Animal Kingdom, this restaurant has plenty of shade and outdoor seating for your family. There’s a great variety of classic American foods to keep the whole family happy. ABC Commissary ABC Commissary In Hollywood Studios, ABC Commissary has large amounts of indoor seating with lots of air conditioning. We love the tacos and burgers here. Backlot Express Backlot Express Also located in Hollywood Studios, you can find burgers, sandwiches, and salads on the menu. There are even a few Star Wars-themed desserts we like to try. Connections Eatery Connections Eatery Connections has many tables, all located inside, at EPCOT’s World Celebration. They serve dishes inspired by global flavors, and you can mobile order on the app, making ordering for a large group even easier. Table Service Restaurants Whispering Canyon Cafe Whispering Canyon Cafe Whispering Canyon Cafe is located at the Wilderness Lodge and offers a la carte selections or all-you-care-to-enjoy skillet-style platters. We love the fun jokes that servers play on guests, and it’s sure to be a family favorite. Liberty Tree Tavern Liberty Tree Tavern Located in Magic Kingdom, this meal is served family-style and serves Thanksgiving meals all year round. It’s in Liberty Square and is themed to a late 18th-century home. The Diamond Horseshoe Diamond Horseshoe Located in Liberty Square at Magic Kingdom, The Diamond Horseshoe serves classic American holiday food in an all-you-care-to-enjoy style. Biergarten Restaurant Biergarten In the Germany pavilion in EPCOT, Biergarten offers a full buffet with favorite German dishes. They also have German performers showcase authentic Oktoberfest acts! Character Dining 1900 Park Fare 1900 Park Fare At 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian Resort, you can usually meet Aladdin, Cinderella, Mirabel, and Tiana, but note that they do sometimes change. The buffet-style restaurant offers meals that pay homage to the characters and their stories. The Crystal Palace Crystal Palace The Crystal Palace is at Magic Kingdom, where you can meet your favorite friends from the Hundred Acre Woods like Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet, and Tigger. The buffet as great offerings like carved prime rib, soft serve ice cream, and cute Winnie the Pooh desserts. Chef Mickey’s Chef Mickey’s This buffet is located at the Contemporary, and you’ll start your meal by meeting Mickey in his chef’s outfit. It’s a great way to make sure the whole family is in a picture. Throughout dinner, you’ll meet the rest of the gang, like Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto. Before booking that reservation and walking up to that quick-service restaurant, double-check to make sure they have the room for your party. Then, go on and have the best vacation yet.
