We don’t know how it works, but Disney’s new snack might become the object of our next obsession.

Finding a snack that hits the spot when you’ve had so many sugary treats around Disney might feel like a challenge, especially when you need one quick. Disneyland’s hard at work preparing for the 70th anniversary and welcoming back entertainment, but one particular new eat really piqued our curiosities.

We headed out in search of one of the newest savory snacks to try out at Disney and our search led us over to a popular spot at Downtown Disney! This shopping and dining district sits between Disneyland’s two parks and offers up some delicious treats and eats to snack on till your heart’s content and you find the strength to finish your shopping. It’s a great place to stop if you’re craving something Disney but not looking to head into the parks in search of your next snack or meal.

We made our way over to Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs to try out one of their latest creations. This cozy snack stand is just right to pick up some savory yet zany corn dogs meant to awaken your taste buds. This spot’s become so popular that Disney added another location over at Disney World right on the walkway at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn Resort.

This visit we were in search of the Meatball-Sub Dog that’s made of meatballs and mozzarella cheese, all fried together in a corn dog batter.  This new dog will cost you $15, comes served with a side of marinara sauce for dipping and a bag of Lay’s potato chips, and is only around for a limited time.

Admittedly, we were a little unsure of how good this one would taste, but we’re happy to report that we were pleasantly surprised. We didn’t quite know how this one works, but it does!! This huge corn dog has chewy meatballs and TONS of ooey gooey cheese!

Gooey cheese

The meatballs were well flavored and the corn dog batter encasing it is crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside! It is served with a side of cold marinara sauce, too.

Corn Dog selections

The sauce is well seasoned and brings all the flavors together! If you ask nicely, you might be able to snag another side of sauce for this huge corn dog! We’ll leave you with a word of caution, though. Be sure to eat it fast, so the cheese doesn’t cool down — that makes it thicker and harder to appreciate its cheesiness! The side of potato chips and Parmesan cheese packets were a nice addition to the offering and went well with the corn dog. Overall, we’d recommend grabbing this as a meal or a snack if you’re open to sharing!
