Disney Cast Members get to be involved with creating memorable magical moments for guests everyday! They could be creating memories for guests who are at the park for their first time or 100th time. They use their love for Disney, and extend it to others. Think about your favorite Disney character — how have they impacted you? How have they shaped you? What have they taught you? Everyone has a character that they can relate to, learn from, or feel like brings them joy. That’s the beauty of storytelling, and the beauty of characters. Luke Skywalker, Black Panther, Queen Elsa, Princess Anna, Princess Tiana, Judy Hopps, Hercules, and EVERYONE else — there are so many characters who have impacted people in some way! The coolest part, is that we’ve ALL shared an experience with a character in some type of way! The Black Panther! Being a Cast Member is one thing, being a Disney character is another! Being a character means you are up close and personal with fans of all ages. It’s your job to make the character real, and actually allow fans to interact with the characters they love. You’re turning the impact that a character has on someone, and making it real. Well, you now have the chance to become a Disney character, because Disney has put out a casting call! Look out for Spider-Man! That’s right, the new Disney Destiny cruise ship is officially hiring for several characters! If you go to the Disney careers website, and go to Disney auditions, you’ll find where to apply as a Character Performer for the Disney Cruise Line. The auditions are going to be held at Pearl Studios in New York City. The Cruise Line has all sorts of storytelling for the highest caliber of entertainment at sea — from theatrical performances, to character meet and greets. Disney is specifically looking for Character Performers AND Character Look-Alikes — let’s take a look at which characters! Belle! For performers portraying Female-Identifying Look-alike roles, Disney is looking for: Cruella de Vil, Maleficent, Belle, Mirabel, Moana, Mulan, Princess Tiana, Rapunzel, Rey, and more! Moana signing autographs For performers portraying Male-Identifying Look-alike roles, Disney is looking for: Dr. Facilier, Loki, Black Panther, Bruno, Captain Jack Sparrow, Spider-Man, and more! Jack Sparrow The Disney Destiny is the newest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet! It’s themed to heroes and villains, and will set sail later this year. It’s going to have amazing new live shows, plenty of dining experiences, a ton of merchandise, and more!
