It’s a great time to head to Disney World!

The weather is FINE, and the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival is still underway through June 5th. There is plenty of great food to eat (but isn’t there always?), and spring is in the air. However, if you’re headed to Disney World this weekend, we’ve got a word of warning: the parks could be a little packed.

Planning guide for the ultimate Disney vacation

So, why is this weekend going to be so busy? Well, a LOT is happening in Disney World this weekend. First up, the All-Star Cheerleading WORLDS event will be held from April 26th through April 29th at ESPN Wide World of Sports. This brings a LOT of folks to the resort, the parks, and the hotels. You’ll certainly see cheerleading crowds if you’re staying at Disney’s All-Star Resorts because that’s generally where the competitors and their families stay, too. You’ll probably also hear a lot of them rehearsing if you’re staying at those hotels.

But that’s not the only big thing happening this weekend. Dapper Day is happening on April 26th in EPCOT and on April 27th in Magic Kingdom. So those parks will be full of people dressed to the nines. These events are also usually huge, so you could expect to see more folks than usual.

But wait, there’s more! Yep, ANOTHER major event is happening in Disney World this weekend. Over in EPCOT, 98 Degrees will be performing at the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival for the Garden Rocks Concert Series on April 27th and April 28th. It’s almost a sure bet that these concerts are going to BE HUGE, so EPCOT is going to be extra busy.

So if you’re headed to Disney World this weekend, be sure to pack some extra patience and plan for crowded parks (and even crowded hotels, in some cases).
