Disney4me
We’re less than one month away from the start of Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary Celebration! ©Disney This exciting event kicks off on May 16th, 2025, and runs throughout the summer. As part of the festivities, there will be new ride additions, brand-new attractions, the return of fan-favorite parades, and so much more. The actual anniversary falls on July 17th, but if you’re a Magic Key Passholder wanting to celebrate in the parks that day — you might be out of luck. Heads up, Magic Key Passholders! If you were thinking about snagging a park pass reservation to Disneyland or Disney California Adventure for the anniversary on July 17th, you may have missed your chance. As of April 23rd, all Magic Key reservations are SOLD OUT for July 17th. Of course, there’s always a chance that Disney could release more availability or that other Magic Key holders could change their minds and cancel their reservations, so keep checking the calendar for any updates. Magic Key magnet line We don’t blame folks for wanting to visit Disneyland during the celebration! We’ll be getting 2 new dessert parties, a new character meet and greet is coming, new and returning shows are on the way, and there is so much exclusive merchandise on the way. Disney also shared that new restaurants and stores will be coming to Downtown Disney as the park continues to grow and change before the celebrations start on May 16th, 2025. ©Disney Disneyland just announced a ton of exciting happenings for the 70th anniversary! An all-new “World of Color” show — called “World of Color Happiness!” — inspired by Walt Disney will debut with a “kaleidoscope of emotions” hosted by Joy and other emotions from Inside Out 2. Not only that, but Boyz II Men will lend their legendary R&B vocals in a rendition of “Rainbow Connection,” and FITZ — from Fitz and the Tantrums — will debut a new original song just for “World of Color” called “Makes Me Wanna Move.” And, more than a dozen of The Muppets will deliver a message ahead of the show. ©Disney We also got a sneak peek at Mickey and Friends’ new 70th-anniversary outfits! We had seen Mickey and Minnie’s a while back, but now we’ve got a look at Pluto, Goofy, Clarabelle, Chip ‘n’ Dale, and Donald and Daisy! ©Disney Throughout Disneyland, expect to see anniversary decor as you make your way around the park, enjoying the celebrations. You won’t want to miss the 50-foot sculpture inspired by Sleeping Beauty Castle “with colorful glass panels and golden charms representing the five original lands.” Multi-colored banners and vibrant flowers will decorate Main Street, U.S.A., and a medallion will be featured on Sleeping Beauty Castle!
