Disney4me
We’ve had a chance to visit Epic Universe a few times, and each time, it’s been, well…EPIC. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic We were simply WOWED by The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic, as well as the ride Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry. We’ve also had a chance to check out some of the snacks in that land. Well, we stumbled upon a hideaway bar (and seriously, you might accidentally walk by it) in this version of 1920s Paris, and we had to try it out. So join us as we head inside Bar Moonshine. Like we said, Bar Moonshine is a really small hideaway bar located in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic. Inside, there’s only enough space for a counter to order… Bar Moonshine …as well as the drinks behind it. It’s small However, the whole 1920s theme is still a vibe here, which is why it has a limited menu, including specialty cocktails like the Fleur 75, Lobe Blaster, Philosopher’s Old Fashioned, Sherbert Lemon, and Gigglewater. A few beers, wine, and whiskey are also available. Menu We ordered the Lobe Blaster for $17.99, which is described as “a potent mix of moonshine, limoncello, absinthe, lemon juice, club soda, and simple syrup garnished with a rosemary sprig and layered with an émulsion verte.” Also, it’s very green, and yes, it really does have absinthe in it. The elixir that goes on top is also a lot of fun. The Lobe Blaster This drink is a lot like a palate cleanser in that it’s minty, lemony, and refreshing. The rosemary is a nice addition to those flavors. It also comes in a charming little stemless plastic cup (that you can keep as a souvenir if you want). Let’s just say that this drink seems to be pretty popular. We saw several people with it, and we had others asking us where it came from. Very refreshing Warning, though. This is a drink you sip, not gulp, because it’s very potent (it contains absinthe). So you’ll want to spend some time with it, maybe having a seat somewhere in the shade or walking around and taking in the whole 1920s Paris vibe. Stay tuned to DFB for more.
