Disney4me
There are literally HUNDREDS of things to do in just Magic Kingdom alone… But what do YOU need to prioritize at this popular Disney World park during YOUR next trip? Cinderella’s Castle Ah, Magic Kingdom… a place where there are no ugly pictures of Cinderella Castle, where the amount of rides for all ages is good ‘n’ plentiful, and where you can eat your weight in Mickey premium bars while lying on the hub grass and no one’s gonna think less of you. Magic Kingdom is a fan-favorite Disney park for many — and for good reason. There’s SO much to see and EAT here, and we’re gonna let you know about some of our favorite snacks! Magic Kingdom isn’t exactly our FAVORITE park to grab a sit-down meal at, but when it comes to snacks? OOH, BOY, that’s a WHOLE other ballgame, my friends! So, without further ado, we’re gonna let you know all about our TOP Magic Kingdom snack choices — some sweet, some savory, and some a little bit of BOTH. Hushpuppies The Hushpuppies from Columbia Harbour House in Liberty Square are a “practically perfect” classic side item from this surf and turf quick service — but we like to treat ‘em as a SNACK all on their own. Hushpuppies They’re nice and crispy on the outside, thick and doughy on the inside, and just all-around deep-fried golden cornmeal balls of goodness with a few complete whole corn pieces smushed into all the fluffiness too, adding a hint of sweetness to this otherwise savory snack. We love these!!! And best of all? You can get a basket of these for just $5. The Gaston’s Tavern Trinity Before, our MAIN snack recommendation at Gaston’s Tavern in Fantasyland was the Warm Cinnamon Roll. And we stand by that! The warm cinnamon roll is filling, it’s thick and creamy, and it’s big enough to share, making it a GREAT breakfast option for those who are starting off their day with a rather large sweet tooth. Gaston’s Tavern — Warm Cinnamon Roll But recently, two MORE snack items were added to Gaston’s menu that we think have proven themselves MORE than worthy of being top MK snack contenders, as well. The Crème Brûlée Croissant took Fantasyland by storm when it debuted back in 2024 — and for GOOD reason. This sweet snack is made of a crispy croissant dough filled with vanilla bean custard and a glazed sugar layer covering the top. Not to be cliche (or sound like a vampire), but this treat was love at first bite. Once we sunk our teeth into all those sweet layers and cracked through that thin, creme brûlée-like baked sugar topping, we were already wondering when we’d have time to place our NEXT order before we finished up the FIRST one. Creme Brulee Croissant And if you prefer the savory stuff, the Ham and Gruyère Tart from Gaston’s is also a solid snack choice — made of crispy croissant dough, topped with ham and gruyère, and served with a side of chips for around $10. Once again, Gaston’s hits a home run with their croissant texture. The crust on this snack is soft, buttery, and flaky, and the savory ham pieces are salty, adding the perfect amount of extra chew. Then, you’ve got all that melted gruyère on top, adding a whole other layer of creamy, cheesiness that’s almost fondue-like. Ham and Gruyere Tart The moral of this story? You need to try Gaston’s Tavern, like, YESTERDAY. Spring Rolls The Adventureland spring roll cart is pretty unassuming, located right at the entrance to Adventureland. But that doesn’t keep the DFB team from tracking it down each time we’re in the park — because we are head over heels for the unique spring roll options served here. (And we’ve BEEN head over heels for ‘em for years and years and YEARS now) YUMMM –Adventureland Spring Rolls While the spring roll flavors switch out often (providing something new to try nearly EVERY time you visit), the one flavor that tends to stick around is the cheeseburger variety. Cheeseburger Spring Rolls Each spring roll order comes with two deep-fried and super crunchy rolls. But if you can’t decide which flavor to try — take a leap of faith and try both! You’re more than welcome to get two of the same flavors, OR you can choose to get one of each flavor for the same $9.50 price tag! (Depending on availability, that is. These spring rolls do tend to sell out towards the end of the day, so be sure to get in line for them SOONER rather than LATER) Candied Bacon Skewer Bacon is great. Candy is great. Snacks served up on a stick are great. So you put ‘em all together and whaddya get? HEAVEN. SHEER HEAVEN. The Candied Bacon Skewer at Westward Ho in Frontierland is a huge, thick piece of bacon, served with potato chips. That’s some thick bacon! Even though the flavor of the bacon is nice and smoky on its own, the candied brown-sugar coating gives the whole thing sweet-and-savory vibes — which is what REALLY pushes this over the top for us. The bacon meal Note: the texture of this bacon might not be for everyone — since this is more like a thick fatty piece of bacon rather than a thin and crispy one — so if you’re the type of person who only eats your bacon super well done (if not a little burnt), then this might not be the best snack for ya. Pineapple Upside Down Cake If you prefer to eat your DOLE Whip slightly soaked into a dense pineapple upside-down cake — you can order over at Aloha Isle in Adventureland. Pineapple Upside-down Cake from Aloha Isle Refreshments This cake has LOTS of chunks of pineapple baked right into it so that each sponge and dole whip bite is PACKED with tropical goodness. Does pineapple cut up our tongue each time we eat it? Sure. But is the pain worth it? Yooooooou betcha! Look at that cake! Snacking around Magic Kingdom is one of our favorite pastimes. In fact… snacking around Disney World, in general, is one of our favorite things to do while we’re inside the parks!
