We’ve got some GREAT news, Disney fans! If you’re like us, you might enjoy learning all about the behind-the-scenes magic that goes into running a theme park like EPCOT or Magic Kingdom. Cast Members are MAGIC! And one of the best ways to learn more is with a backstage tour.

From the “Caring for Giants” tour in Disney’s Animal Kingdom to the iconic “Keys to the Kingdom” tour in Magic Kingdom, there are some GREAT ways to see what goes on backstage in Disney World. But one special tour, DiveQuest, has been closed for a LONG time. But it’s returning, and SOON!

Over in EPCOT, The Seas with Nemo and Friends is home to a HUGE 5.7 million gallon saltwater aquarium. You’d never realize it if you were just passing by, but you can learn all about sea life (including manatees!) and even take a ride with Nemo and all his friends on The Seas with Nemo & Friends.

Back in 2024, Disney announced that it would relocate three dolphins living in The Seas Pavilion to the Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park in Fort Walton Beach. These days, you can see other marine life instead.

When the dolphins were relocated, the EPCOT Seas Adventures — Dolphins in Depth tour permanently closed. Disney said, “This decision came after a comprehensive evaluation as to what is best for these dolphins as infrastructure work progresses at The Seas.”

Around the same time, the EPCOT Seas Adventures — DiveQuest backstage tour also closed. This is a two-hour backstage tour and SCUBA experience in the 5.7-million-gallon saltwater aquarium. The tour has been unavailable to book for about six months, but now, bookings are OPEN starting May 1st, 2025.

That’s right — DiveQuest is BACK! The tour is $229–$249 per person (tax not included), and proof of Open Water SCUBA certification is required for this program. You must be 10 years of age or older in order to participate. If you bring friends or family, they can view your dive through the giant acrylic windows at The Seas with Nemo & Friends! According to Disney, the best location for friends and family to view your dive is from the upstairs viewport in the tunnel of The Seas with Nemo & Friends, approximately 40 minutes after your tour begins.
