What Is Bats Day at Disneyland?

It’s no secret that there is PLENTY to see, do, and eat around the Disney Parks on any given day — and we love it!

But, what about those days when there’s something EXTRA special going on? You know, when you notice that a ton of people in the parks are all dressed kind of similarly, almost as if there’s a secret event you don’t know about? Well, friends, sometimes that’s exactly the case — just like with Bats Day at Disneyland!

We know what you’re probably thinking — what exactly IS Bats Day in the Fun Park? Well, this annual event has been taking place for over 25 years and celebrates all things Disney — and goth! Folks don their spooky — and all black, everything — best to join together in community while enjoying a day at Disneyland.

This non-Disney affiliated event took place this past weekend, April 26th and 27th, with a day at Disneyland Park on April 27th! In the past, hundreds of Grim Grinning Goths all came together to celebrate their love of the parks and all things macabre. There is even a Baby Bats meet-up for little Disney goths, too!

But, Bats Day isn’t the only event that took place at Disneyland this past weekend — TikiLand Day was also on Sunday, April 27th! The fifth annual event celebrated all things Disney and tiki and was created as another excuse for tiki fans to get together in the park aside from on Adventureland Day! Just goes to show you that you never know what sort of fun events might be taking place around the parks whether you know about them or not — but now, you do!

Bats Day 2026 is scheduled to take place on May 3rd at Disneyland Park!
